The next day.

"Look ma'am I just want some coffee..." I said insistent,The pony behind the cashier shook her head, "Sorry but alicorn or not stallions aren't allowed to buy anything without their mares approval, I need to have proof of your mares identity and -"

"I got no mare." I hissed, "I don't want a mare, now give me the damn coffee."

"By celestia's tit's you don't have a mare?"

"Celestia ain't got no tits don't swear on her ass like that it's fucking weird." I snapped causing her to flinch, "Give me the coffee, my head is starting to hurt!"

"Langauge!" She hissed, "Stallions shouldn't be talking to-" A pair of bits were thrown onto the desk, I blinked as I stared in shock at the mare behind, me, "It's on me Star Bright." she said

Star bright, that is an even worse name than Rainbow Dash.

"Oh he is you're stallion Miss cheerlee." The pony blinked surprised, "I didn't think you had a stallion, the...now named Miss cheerlee didn't say anything, she just trotted out.

I stared at her curiously, turning to my coffee I struggled to take it in my hooves, so before I embarrassed myself, I just sipped the whole thing down, in a couple of big gulps, now I was full. I put the coffee in the trash, it took a lot more effort than it looked because I was trying to keep the balance; as I was used to hands.

After a minute of walking around I accidentally bumped into someone, "Ooh, er...Sorry." A purple pony said getting up to her hooves, "Sorry about that she picked me up, Oh my a stallion as an alicorn,"

"Please don't make a big deal about it."

"I well if you decide against it." she said "though you are kind of handsome."

"Thank you." I smiled, before realizing who she was, "You're the one from before..."

She nodded, "Yes, that would be me, on behalf of Star's attitude I apologize."

"It's fine." I said with a slightly surprised look, "Not really anything new around here."

"Unfortunately." The pink pony said with a sigh, "I just wished they treated stallions with more respect."

I tilted my head with curiousity, interesting. "I am kind of new to this place, would you mind showing me around?"

"It would be an honor." the purple pony said with a smile raising a hoof to grab my own, as she placed a kiss on it. "My name is Cheerlee just Cheerlee, I believe Star already mentioned it though. "

"Another slightly normal name." I said with a joke, "Names James."

Not minding the reverse culture here.

"Ooh that rhymes." Cheerlee said with a smile, "Well follow me then ' guess I will show you around.

As we walked, I marveled at the way she walked, it was so different from everyone else, so different from the way they were all thirsting at me, I could also tell that many of the ponies seemed envious, of her,

She didn't seem to notice, her gaze was fixed on the environment around me as she explained everything in very good detail. She seemed very smart.

"So what do you do." I said with a hoof on the back of my head akwardly

"Me, Oh I'm a teacher." Cherelee answered turning to face me, she seemed very proud of her proffession, "Right at Ponyville's school house. "How about yourself?"

"How do you know I work." I said a growing smile on my face.

"I don't." Miss cherelee replied with a confused tilt of he head, "Maybe I shouldn't have asked or...Oh I am sorry I..."

"No no no-" I placed my hoof on her lips, "Don't be sorry alright?" I said with a sigh, "I...get a little bit tensed, "Yes...I work, "

"A fresh change of pace." Cheerlee said with a sigh as well, "I wish....all stallions were like you"

"All?" I asked tilting my head

"Well...all stallions are meek as you put it..." Cheerlee tried to find the right words to describe them, "Well, it's hard for them to find the strength, I guess they don't need it when mares do all the work, but still, it would be nice to see a stallion that can be independent."

"I live with my mother." I said with a raised eyebrow, "That's not entirely independent."

"It's not a bad thing." Cheerlee said with a smile, "It just means the right mare didn't steal you away yet."

Right." I said rolling my eyes, "And here I thought you were different."

"Well..,I am just speaking based off of societies expectations, they aren't really my thoughts. Cheerlee chuckled, I nodded, as we walked, well it was nice meeting you..." I said with a smile, "But I am afraid I must be going."

"Off to meet the princess?" Miss Cheerlee asked

"Hell no." I said rolling my eyes, "No I am...guess around..."

"Well see you around." She said with a smile..

"See ya." I said as she turned and walked away, I stared at her for a long moment, I was actually very confused, did a mare...actually treat me normally for once...such a thing seemed impossible the moment I got here, but this world is a big place I assume so maybe...maybe I... I was caught off guard as I was smacked into the ground, "Watch where your going dweeb."

"You're the one who knocked me out!" I hissed, pushing her off, "What the fuck are you, you ain't like the ponies here?"

"Neither are you dweeb...you look like the holier than thou princess." The thing replied, well it was harsh to call her a thing as she did look adorable like everyone else in this world, but still she looked kind of like a bird, a weird bird,

"Point taken." I said with a chuckle, rasing my hoof, "What you expect me to kiss it? Fat chance..." The thing snorted, I laughed, "No not at all, names James."

"Gilda," She shook it, "and I am a griffin your mares didn't teach you anything?"

"I don't have a mare,"

Gilda raised an eyebrow, "Like tarterous I'll believe that."

"Tartur-what? I asked flatly, "I don't have a mare, don't need one."

"Your either very brave or very stupid." GIlda chuckled, "but keep up like it dweeb, your a nice change of pace."

"I am not a dweeb." I hissed with a smirk growing on my face, "got that."

"KLike Tarterous you are." Gilda smirked, not backing down, "You look like a dweeb, but you a cool dweeb, I don't say that to anyone, don't tell anyone I said that."

I laughed, as she turned to walk away, "see ya around James."

I smiled "You too." I said with a grin as she walked away vanishing into the distance, I was smiling, two people, one of another race, and both of them treated me normally, things were looking up. I skipped silently into the distance.
