Storm King in the legion of doom

"And now for your complete destruction!!! Won't that be FUN?"

"Patience Cozy! Destruction is so.... Permanent. We need to show the ridiculously adorable ponies that we have dominated their heroes first! And besides, we should, SAVOR, the moment."

"But I-"

"Eh! Savor it!"

"But-"

"SAVOR IT!"

"Well-"

"SAVOR, THE MOMENT!"

"Sigh.... I do enjoy a good savor."

"No! We need to hunt down Princess Twilight! As long as she's still out there she poses a threat to us!"

"Bah! Is the big, strong centaur really scared of a cute little pony? Besides, it's not like her friends can go anywhere. I have enchanted the cages with magic cancelling power that only WE can break! Hah ha! And to think, none of this would have been possible without Grogar's bell! Isn't that right, 'GROGAR'?"

The Storm King pulled Chrysalis's chain as she fell to the ground weakened, emotionally and physically.

However, when the other two were distracted, Cozy Glow tried to absorb more magic from the bell.

"WHAT do you think you're doing?! You SAW what happened when you tried to absorb the changeling magic for yourself!"

"Yeah, but there's Alicorn princess magic in there now too! I could be so much more powerful if I just-"

"What do you mean YOU could be?"

"Umm, hello? I'm the best one out of all of us!"

The three began to argue and bicker like pests again, as the prisoners looked at each other in dread.

"We gotta find Twilight, she's probably already figured out some way to defeat those monsters."

"Any idea how we get out of here to do that?"

Spike knocked at the steel bars.

"Too solid, there's no way we could break through these bars."

"I'm so sorry. It all made sense in my head, Twilight defeats her worst foes and is filled with confidence. I truly did have the best intentions, I swear I'll make it up to you."

"That's gonna have to be a pretty epic make up."

"Stay away from the bell you PEST! None of us can use the Alicorn magic until we figure out how to handle that INSECT'S RIDICULOUS CHANGING MAGIC!"

"I could always, tell you how.... It would allow you to turn into whatever monster your hearts desire.... But you'd.... have to ask nicely, and spare my friends."

"No Chrysalis! This isn't the way to help!"

"Chryssie, could you pweaaaaaaaase-"

"Threats are more MY language, SPEAK!"

"She's lying! She won't tell us!"

"Especially not YOU, who tried to conquer our kingdom before my throne zapped away your stolen energy, you MUSCLE BOUND CRETIN."

"This, CRETIN, could destroy you before you blink. So chose your words carefully."

"You're right, CRETIN is too polite. How about pathetic centaur who steals magic to compensate for the fact that deep down he's afraid he'll never be enough to please dear old dad King Vorak?"

Tirek fired a blast at Chrysalis, however she grabbed a rock with her bare hooves which reflected it off it and bounced it throughout the chamber before ultimately dispersing.

"Hah ha ha ha! You missed!"

"Did she though?"

Starlight cut a hole in her cell as she levitated herself to not fall.

"ATTACK!"

They blasted their magic at her, but she teleported from every blast.

As the villains were distracted, she teleported near the mane six's cage.

"Get Twilight!"

Starlight tried to destroy the cage, but her magic was no good against it.

"I'll be back! She WON'T let you down!"

Starlight then teleported away, as the villains left the chamber to go search for her.

Later....

Twilight paced upstairs inside the crystal castle, as Starlight entered the room.

"You're here?! I was so worried! Where are the princesses? And my friends?!"

"They are kept imprisoned by impenetrable magic, I was able to escape because they accidentally destroyed my cell. But there isn't any time! You need to get out there and save them!"

"I can't.... From the second I got away, I've been searching every book, scroll, and spell for a way to rescue you and stop Storm King, Tirek, and Cozy, but I haven't found anything. I failed."

"You'll come up with something. I can't save Equestria without you."

"Look around! Nothing I've ever done has mattered! Sombra? Returned and destroyed the tree of harmony! Storm King, Tirek, and Cozy Glow? Returned and more powerful then ever! The school of friendship? Shut down! Everypony is so blinded by fear they can't remember what friendship is! Nothing we do makes any difference!"

"Well, it's not like things can get any worse...."

Just as Starlight said that, they heard screeching coming from outside.

'Me and my big fat mouth....' Starlight thought to herself.

"Well you can't just sit here and do nothing!"

"I've already done enough."

"Ugh! Twilight listen to me! When you took me in as your protege I felt that I would never be able to live up to the job! I felt that my terrible decisions would prevent me from understanding the true meaning of friendship! But I made it! I learned and understood it while even making new friends! And I never could have done it without YOUR guidance! I believe in you Twilight, in us...."

"I.... I guess you have a point.... Ok, I'll do it! But we still need a plan...."

"I think I'm coming up with a pretty good one....."

Meanwhile....

"She's nowhere inside the castle! We'll just have to hunt her down along with the-..... Windigos?"

"I'm not hunting anypony do-do-do-do-down in this weather! Can't we just magically get rid of them and warm things up?"

"I think not, this could work well in my favor...."

"You mean OUR favor."

"The harsh weather is the final blow to DESTROY those pathetic ponies spirits! Once their land is but a frozen wasteland, we will use our ultimate power to ANNIHILATE those windy beasts! Ponies will be so grateful they will OBEY MY EVERY COMMAND!"

"The Windigos are ancient magic! It would be unwise to leave them unchecked, best we deal with them NOW."

"Hmph."

"We should probably deal with Twilight and Starlight before anything else."

"I thought you said it was too cold for you to hunt anypony down."

"We don't have to! They're right there!"

Cozy pointed at the ponies beneath the castle.

"You think they know we're here?"

A portal opened up and the three stepped out prepared for battle.

"I think they have an idea....."

"That bell has Chrysalis, Celestia, and Luna's magic inside, if they use it against us-"

"They don't know how to use changeling magic."

"You just don't know when to quit even though you've already been beaten, can you?"

"You can't beat us if we never give up! As long as my friends are still ok, I'll put my faith in friend-"

"Ugh! Can we get on with this please?!"

Cozy fired a blast at Twilight and Starlight, before they teleported away and hid in the bushes as the villains looked for them.

"We need to get that bell and get Chrysalis and the princesses their magic back. Starlight, you distract them, I'll get the bell."

Starlight nodded in agreement.

"Stop hiding and come out to play!"

"There!"

Starlight rushed out of the bush and teleported all over the place as they tried to blast her.

"missed me!"

"Too slow!"

"Is that all you got?"

"Bored now!"

"Does she have to be SOOOO ANNOYING?!"

"Not annoying, distracting!"

Storm King pointed at Twilight trying to take the bell, as he tried to pull it away from her with his magic.

However, Starlight joined Twilight and tried to grasp it away, but the other two villains blasted them with their magic before they could.

"Looks like the magic of friendship has FAILED you, a fitting end to your pathetic story."

"No matter what, we face it together."

As Twilight and Starlight desperately embraced each other, the three villains charged up and blasted their magic towards them.

............

"Wha- what happened?..."

"See for yourself."

Twilight opened her eyes and saw a force field protecting them from harm.

"What's going on?"

They looked up and saw an army of everycreature charging towards the legion with everything they've got.

The Pegasi swooped in and spun around Cozy, making her dizzy.

The changelings then turned into duplicates of Twilight and Starlight, confusing them.

"Don't let them escape!"

"Which ones?!"

The yaks then stomped their hooves to the ground, making the three villains trip.

The two ponies were then lifted atop the hill.

"The changelings won't fool them forever, and I don't know how long the unicorns shield will hold!"

"I don't understand..... How are you all here?"

"That's kinda our fault...."

"You know those long lectures about friendship you gave at school?"

One flashback montage later....

"Well what do you know, I TOLD you you had things figured out."

As Twilight looked at Starlight with a warm smile, a changeling suddenly hit the shield and Twilight looked back.

As the shield was being bombarded with Pegasi, the unicorn's couldn't hold it much longer and it collapsed.

The villains then punched the ground so hard it sent everycreature flying, as they charged at the army ready to take them all on.

However, Twilight blasted magic next to them to halt their progress.

"ENOUGH! Because of you I almost lost my way! But everycreature here has reminded me of the true power of friendship! There will always be darkness in the world, but there will also be those that find the light! The pillars knew this, that's why they created the elements of harmony."

As Twilight continued with her speech, her friends, the princesses, the pillars, Tempest as she was unfrozen, and Chrysalis were teleported from the prison to the mountain where everyone was standing against the villains.

"The elements showed me and my friends how strong our friendship could be! Together we worked to bring harmony to Equestria, but there will always be more work to do. Which is why we teach others about the magic of friendship, others who will continue our work after we are gone."

As Twilight continued, her friends, the pillars, and the young six all floated up in the air enchanted with the magic of friendship.

"Now I truly understand! The elements were just symbols! The real magic has always been right here! And the more who understand how powerful friendship is, the stronger we will all be! Together!"

The pillars, the young six, and the mane six then all launched rainbows at Twilight, who unleashed into one big rainbow that banished the windigos.

"This is bad, isn't it?"

The rainbow was then blasted towards the villains and struck them, ridding them of their stolen magic and stripping them of their power as the bell fell to the ground.

Cozy fell to the ground, noticing her horn was gone.

Tirek got up in his more elderly form, shaking from how cold it was.

And Storm King gasped in horror, realizing all his strong muscles were gone.

Twilight and the others then landed back on the ground.

"YOU THINK SOME CORNY SPEECH AND FREINDSHIP LASERS CAN PROTECT YOU?! WE WILL COME BACK AGAIN AND AGAIN! NOTHING WILL EVER STO-"

They were then crushed by a giant cupcake.

"What the-?" Twilight wondered what could be causing that.

"Sorry, his boasting was getting sooooooo annoying, I had to step in and shut him up myself. Well, congratulations once again Twilight!" Discord congratulated the princess of friendship.

"Yeah, thanks."

"Oh, don't bother getting the bell yourselves, I'll do it free of charge." Discord assured, as he picked up the bell and gave Chrysalis, Celestia, and Luna their magic back, as the villains resurfaced from the cupcake.

"There isn't a punishment WORTHY of all you've done!"

"I don't think that's necessary your majesty. In case you've forgotten, I was the one who made their villainy possible in the first place."

"But Chrysalis, they are active fiends! Just because you encouraged them doesn't mean they won't stop looking for trouble in the future!"

"But can't we give them a chance? I never thought it would be possible that someone like me could be taught to share love over taking it.... I only ask that we do the same for these three...."

Chrysalis beckoned the princesses to give the three villains a chance, as they pondered over it....

"Very well.... They will be each assigned to a different pony to reform them, as for Chrysalis, her punishment will be decided by her people." Celestia declared, as Chrysalis gulped in hesitation.

"Gag! I'd rather be turned into a statue with the two of you." Storm King pouted, as Tirek and Cozy groaned in annoyance.

Everycreature atop the mountain cheered in celebration for their victory.

"When I sent you to ponyville, I had high hopes. When you became princess of friendship, I knew I made the right decision. But nothing could prepare me for how proud I am right now. Equestria is definitely in the right hooves. You are ready." Celestia declared, as she and Luna bowed for Twilight.

"You know what? I think I am."
