A Sunshyne Love Story

A year had passed since Sunset proposed to Fluttershy, and the day they were both waiting for had finally come. Fluttershy was wearing the wedding dress Rarity had made for her who was putting the last finishing touches on it.

“I still can’t believe that today’s the day.” Fluttershy said. “It feels like only yesterday she proposed to me.”

Rarity had finished putting the final touches on Fluttershy’s dress. Fluttershy looked in the mirror and smiled.

“How do I look?” Fluttershy asked.

“You look absolutely beautiful, darling.” Rarity answered. “I know Sunset will think the same thing.”

“Thank you so much, Rarity.” Fluttershy said.

“It was my pleasure, darling.” Rarity replied.

Rainbow Dash entered the room reminding Fluttershy that the wedding was about start.

“It’s almost time, Fluttershy. Are you ready?” Rainbow Dash asked.

Rarity then handed Fluttershy her bouquet of flowers.

“Yes, yes I am.” Fluttershy answered.

Almost everyone Sunset and Fluttershy knew had been invited to their wedding. Fluttershy’s family, all of their friends from Canterlot High, Principal Celestia, Vice-Principal Luna, Principal Cadence from Crystal Prep, the Shadowbolts (Sugarcoat, Indigo Zap, Lemon Zest, Sunny Flare, and Sour Sweet), Gloriossa Daisy, Timber Spruce, Juniper Montage, Wallflower Blush, Vignette Valencia, even Kiwi Lollipop and Supernova Zap.

Fluttershy’s dad walked her down the aisle. As they walked, Fluttershy noticed the smile on Sunset’s face. Fluttershy’s heart filled with happiness at the thought of spending the rest of her life with Sunset. Fluttershy’s dad then took his seat as Fluttershy walked up next to Sunset. The wedding officiant began to speak.

“Dearly beloved, we have gathered here today to witness these two women in the bonds of holy matrimony.”

Sunset and Fluttershy looked into each other’s eyes lovingly while their friends all watched with tears in their eyes.

“Our dearly committed have decided to write their own vows.” The officiant said.

“I love you, Fluttershy.” Sunset began as she placed one of the rings onto Fluttershy’s finger. “You were the first friend I ever truly made. You came to help me before anyone else did. You are the kindest soul in the world and I’m proud to call you mine.”

Fluttershy’s eyes started to water at that beautiful sentiment.

“And I love you too, Sunset.” Fluttershy said as she placed the other ring onto Sunset’s finger. “You’ve changed so much since we’ve first met. You’ve shown me just how much you could grow. You’re truly the bravest person I’ve ever met, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”

Sunset’s eyes also started to fill up with tears.

“Sunset, do you take Fluttershy as your lawfully wedded wife in, sickness and in health, for as long as you shall live?” The officiant asked Sunset.

“I do.” Sunset answered.

“And Fluttershy, do you take Sunset as your lawfully wedded wife, in sickness and in health, for as long as you shall live?” The officiant asked Fluttershy.

“I do.” Fluttershy answered.

“If anyone objects to this union, speak now or forever hold your peace.” The officiant said.

The room fell silent as nobody objected.

“Then by the power vested in me, I now pronounce you wife and wife. You may-“ The officiant was cut off as Sunset grabbed Fluttershy and the two of them kissed passionately.

Everyone then stood up and cheered for Sunset and Fluttershy. Rarity was crying tears of joy as she pulled out a tissue and wiped the tears from her face.

“This is the happiest day of my life.” Sunset exclaimed.

“Mine too.” Fluttershy replied.

Pinkie Pie then wrapped her arms around Sunset and Fluttershy and hugged them.

“Best wedding ever!” Pinkie Pie said.

Sunset and Fluttershy both giggled as Pinkie continued to hug them.

Later, at the reception, everyone was having a good time. Twilight and Rainbow Dash gave amazing speeches, Pinkie Pie baked a delicious cake that everyone loved, and everyone was dancing the night away. When it was time to throw the bouquet, Rarity, Twilight, were both ready to catch it, however, Spike jumped as high as he could and caught the bouquet in his mouth. At first, Twilight and Rarity were both upset about not catching it, but then they both laughed about how funny it was how Spike caught it.

By the end of the reception, Sunset and Fluttershy both drove away on Sunset’s motorcycle with a “Just Married” sign on the back.

“Ready to spend the rest of our days together.” Sunset asked Fluttershy.

“With you, I’m always ready.” Fluttershy answered as she wrapped her arms around Sunset.
