A Sunshyne Love Story

Five years have passed and Sunset and Fluttershy are still together. At first, Fluttershy was afraid that Sunset would return to Equestria for good after graduating high school, but Sunset ensured Fluttershy that she was here to stay. After graduating college together, Fluttershy had moved in with Sunset and the two of them couldn’t be happier. Fluttershy got a job as a veterinarian and Sunset got a job as a music teacher at Canterlot High.

One day, Sunset and Fluttershy were at the beach enjoying some quality time together.

“I can’t believe we’ve been together for five years.” Fluttershy said.

“I know. It feels like only yesterday I told you how I felt.” Sunset replied. “But actually, there’s another reason why I wanted to come out here.”

“Really?” Fluttershy asked.

Sunset nodded and then got down on one knee.

“Fluttershy, you are truly the most wonderful person in the world, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” Sunset said and then got out a small box with a ring inside. “What I’m trying to say is… Fluttershy, will you marry me?”

Fluttershy cupped her hands over her mouth. She had tears of joy in her eyes as Sunset knelt down and showed her the ring.

“Yes. Yes! A thousand times, yes!” Fluttershy exclaimed.

Sunset then stood up and hugged Fluttershy tightly.

“I was hoping you would say that.” Sunset said.

Later that day, Sunset and Fluttershy invited their friends over to their house to share the good news.

“What’s going on, girls?” Twilight asked.

“We have some exciting news to tell everyone.” Sunset answered.

“Sunset proposed. We’re getting married.” Fluttershy added showing everyone the ring that Sunset proposed to her with.

The girls all gasped with excitement, happy for their friends’ engagement.

“This is going to be the best wedding ever!” Pinkie Pie yelled with enthusiasm.

“Congratulations.” Applejack said.

“We’re so happy for you.” Twilight added.

“Promise me that you’ll look after Fluttershy and treat her well.” Rainbow Dash told Sunset.

“I Pinkie promise. Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye.” Sunset said.

“Rarity, I was wondering would you make my wedding dress?” Fluttershy asked Rarity.

“Fluttershy, it would be an honor.” Rarity answered.

“And Rainbow Dash, I would like you to be my maid of honor.” Fluttershy said.

“You bet.” Rainbow Dash replied.

“Twilight, will you be my maid of honor?” Sunset asked Twilight.

“Absolutely, Sunset.” Twilight answered.

“Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! This is going to be so exciting! I can’t wait to plan the wedding reception, bake the cake, and…” Pinkie Pie said with excitement until Applejack put her hand on Pinkie’s shoulder.

“Slow down, Pinkie.” Applejack said. “They’re not getting married right away.”

“I’m sorry, but you know I get so excited about big events.” Pinkie Pie said.

Everyone giggled.

“It’s okay, Pinkie, we’re happy that you’re excited about us getting married. We’re excited about it too.” Sunset replied.

“I’m excited, but also nervous.” Fluttershy said.

“Ooh, are you nervicited?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“That’s not a word, Pinkie.” Applejack said.

“It is to me.” Pinkie Pie replied.

Everyone giggled again.

Sunset and Fluttershy were engaged and their friends couldn’t be happier for them.
