Lavender and Luna have become the best of friends after a human makes his way into Equestria on accident and befriends a bunch of ponies. Lavender is an artist at heart, and had a thing against hypnosis until Luna convinced her to undergo a session run by Luna herself to where she tries out making hypnosis art. But the session goes horribly wrong and Luna doesn't know until Lavender's friends come running in asking for her help to save their friend from a corrupted soul that's taken over her mind and transformed her body. Hearing this, Luna's heart sinks and goes to the aid of her friend. After a long battle against emotions and against the corrupted soul, Lavender is set free at last but has to undergo treatments from Luna to clean up her mind from any trace of the corrupted soul, so it doesn't take over the young Pegasus again. Luna feels utterly awful for what she did, so she falls into depression until she receives a special letter from Lavender explaining her plans for the future and how much she means to her as a true best friend.

After this, Luna goes into a series of misfortunes to where she must battle against her inner demons and even save her friends from the darkness.
