Canterlot High, literally the source or magic came from, and someone who isn't wise enough to bother to discover why it's leaking into our world decides to weaponize it or travel to the other world to harvest all its resources. My best guess is that humans are frighten or the fact that the portal to Equestria is wide enough for one soldier at a time but I doubt a soldier is dumb enough to be cannon fodder or a suicide bomber against a giant unicorn with wings that fires a laser made of rainbows and friendship. But that’s for later until it becomes a cult or something.

Malware made it to the school as he looked at his phone. “Any cases?” He asked.

“Ugh… no…” Said Lucemon, who was in his Digivice App, who was reading digital comics. “I mean, I will admit that we almost had a case, but Metalkoromon shorted out the Wi-Fi.” He said, “I mean, the little guy has to control his hunger. I’ll let you know. See ya after school.” He said as closed the app.

“I better find some car batteries at the junkyard.” Mal said to himself as he went to class.

Culinary Class
Malware was copying the recipe on the whiteboard while the students in the class were cooking some sweets while Pinkie was going crazy with the whipped cream. As they were busy with their cooking, the electric tools started flashing as an electric mixer spin settings changed to slow to faster, splashing anyone near it as the electric ovens blew out the treats inside them as all students ran out screaming as Mal looked at them “Huh?”

Gym
All the fitness machines were going too fast and acted like a mechanical bull which sent Rainbow Dash flying into the Mal. Their faces were close, but not close enough for an accidental kiss. “If this involves magic, I blame you and your friends.” He said, which Dash frowned.

“Why is it you always blame us?”

“Says the girl with the magic rock?”

“Touche.” Said Rainbow.

Library
The computers in the library went out of control, even when there wasn't a student using them as they played different music genre videos. Miss Cheerilee came to the computers.

“NO MUSIC-” She saw no one was using them. “Huh?”

Lunchroom
The Rainbooms were sitting together. “What’s going on?” Said Applejack.

“I don’t know?” Said Twilight. “For some odd reason, there isn’t any Equestria Magic in the school!”

“This makes little sense.” Said Sunset. “I can’t sense any magic and the weird thing is, it’s only affecting all electronics.” She said some students surrounded them.

“What’s going on here?!” Said Trixie.

“My laptop’s data got deleted for no reason!” Said Micro Bites.

“Also, our smartphones are answering spam calls!” Said Flash Sentry, which made them uncomfortable since it’s not involving magic. Malware was eating some instant ramen as he was listening in on the whiny students.

“Hmm…” Thought Malware as he finished his lunch and walked out of the lunchroom as he met Principal and Vice-Principal Celestia & Luna.

“Uh… Principal and Vice-Principal Celestia & Luna! I’m sorry for leaving but I’m a bit worried about the sudden destruction of the electronics in the school. I’m also worried about being in the crossfire of their chaos.” He said as Luna cleared her throat.

“I understand that you’re afraid of the sudden destruction.” Said Luna “But I believe that a certain group of students can fix this.” She said, which made Malware look worried.

“Uh… I’m afraid the Rainbooms cannot fix this.” He said, which made both adults look at him “I had the misfortune of being near them and eavesdropped on them saying that this chaos isn’t caused by magic.” He explained which made Celestia look worried.

“Oh dear…” She said “If there isn’t any magic involved… Perhaps someone is hacking into our system to create this chaos.” Said Celestia as they heard some screaming in the lunchroom.

“I lost my phone data!” Screamed a student which made Malware look worried.

“I better go outside where there isn’t any machine nearby.” He said as Celestia and Luna went to their office.

“Attention all students. Due to all machines inside the school going out of control, all classes are canceled for today until the situation is solved.” Announcing Celestia, the students cheered “Also, until this problem is solve; no student will be allowed to bring, carry or use any electronic devices. So, the next day, all students will only use books and the internet is banned.” Announce Luna, all students who heard that screamed in horror. Malware covered his ears and groaned.

“At least we’re not being given triple the amount of homework.” He said as he walked out of the school.

Hack’s Digivice App
Lucemon was snacking on a Swiss roll cake while watching online videos. “Man… these old videos that Hack like are good. Better than those annoying short dance videos.” He said slice himself a slice of cake as a phone app appeared before him.

“Oh goodie, a client.” He cleared his throat a bit before he answered the phone “(Adult Voice) Cyber Sleuth Investigations, this is his receptionist speaking.” He said,

“(Celestia’s Voice) Hello, my name is Principal Celestia of Canterlot High.” Said the caller.

“Ah… the building with the strange magic and weirdness.” Said Lucemon.

“I beg your pardon but that was made by my students within the AV club who were responsible for those videos.” She spoke.

“(“Bull crap.”) Said Lucemon in his head “How may we help you?” Asked Lucemon as he wrote it in a digital notepad.

“My school has been experiencing a cyber-attack from a hacker.” She said as Lucemon wrote what she said.

“Do you have any suspicions on who would do this?” Asked Lucemon.

“No, but whoever did this is causing chaos and destruction throughout the school.” She said, just then Lucemon heard a different voice.

“Sister! The coffee maker in the teacher’s lounge is spraying lukewarm coffee!” Screamed Celestia’s sister.

“Oh my… I’ll let my boss know so he can fix this problem. I’ll send him the details and he’ll solve your case.” Spoke Lucemon.

“Thank you and a reward will be promised to him.”

“Good day, madam.” Said Lucemon as he hangs up “(Regular Voice) Better notify my partner of a new case.” He said as he sent it to Hack.

Hack’s Warehouse
Hack managed to discover an old laptop in the electronic section of the junkyard. “Sweet.” He said as he turned to see a beaver creature with a cannon made from junk on its back. “Here. Take it to the warehouse to see if we can repair it, Junkmon.”

Junkmon grabbed it and gave Hack the thumbs up. “Got it, buddy. I’ll let the other Junkmon know if we find any more old laptops or computers.” He said as Junkmon rolled to the warehouse to meet with the others to look for more stuff as his phone vibrated and he heard his notification sound.

“What the?” He pulled out his phone to see it was a text with ‘You got a case!’ “Alright.” He went to the Digivice App to see Lucemon. “Hey buddy. Who sends the case?” He asked.

“Your principal, dude. She’s hiring you to stop that havoc happening in your school.” Answer Lucemon. “Are you going to take it?” He asked as Hack nodded.

“I have to because I doubt those magic girls will solve it.” He said as Lucemon smirked.

“Just remember, dude. The ketchup & mustard hair girl can read your mind by touching you. Don’t let her and tell your principal that he’ll find is as sexual harassment that a girl who can peek into strangers’ mind is considered creepy.” He said as Hack sighed.

“Yeah, I always find her as a creep with that magic.” He answered as he went to a large tool shed that’s blending in with the junk to put on his work clothes. “(Muffled Voice) I better bring some allies.” He said as he made his way to school on a custom-made automatic motorcycle car “Hey Machmon.” Said Hack to a screen as it showed a motorcycle-shaped Digimon.

“(Punk Voice) Hey Hack. What brings you?”

“I need a favor.” He said “Can you take me back to school?”

“Back to school? What did you forget?”

“Nothing, it’s a new case. My principal hired me to solve the electronics going crazy. I had a girl land on me.” He spoke.

“Was she hot?” Hack looked at him “To human standards. For me, those customized motorcycles are. Oh baby… if that was a Digimon, I married him.” He said as Hack rolled his eyes.

“Don’t let Rebellimon hear that. He’ll chop shop till there is nothing but its tires.” Said Hack as Mach rev up and spin in the cyberspace.

“I’ll crash into him before he harms my love!” He yelled as Hack got in.

“I’ll make sure that won’t happen.” He said “After all, he’s after good parts, not rusted parts.” Machmon drove Hack to his destination.

Canterlot High
The Rainbooms stayed back after school to solve this problem but no matter where they go, they can’t find any Equestria Magic. “What is going on?!” Said Sunset.

“This is too weird!” Yelled Rainbow Dash. “We’re the heroes here and yet, we can’t fix this!” She yelled.

“For the last time, Dash.” Spoked Applejack “We’re not heroes!” She spoke.

“We’ll only try to stop this.” Said Fluttershy as Pinkie Pie was bouncing around.

“My Pinkie Senses are going odd!” she said. “I sense the culprit is here, but it feels like he or she isn’t actually here!” She said as they looked around.

“This culprit must be caught!” Said Rarity. “They used the sewing machines to destroy the clothes I made and the clothes I wore!” she complained as her dress had some large stitches and a distinct pattern of cloth on her dress. “So, humiliating for a lady.” She told Twilight to write notes on paper since anything like a smartphone gets their data erased.

“For all we know, it only affects all electronics.” Said Twilight “So the possibilities of it being Equestria Magic is 0.0%.” She said as Rainbow stomped.

“Then what are we dealing with?!” she screamed.

“I’m afraid that this isn’t something you can manage.” The Rainbooms turned to see VP Luna.

“Vice-Principal Luna!” They all said.

“What do you mean?” Asked Sunset.

“My sister hired the Cyber Sleuth to solve this case.” Explained Luna, which confused Dash.

“The Cyber what?” She spoke.

“The Cyber Sleuth.” Luna repeated “A detective that solves any case that involves anything whether or not it's online. For this reason, we hired him to solve it as a case.” She explained the situation which angered Rainbow.

“Oh, come on!” She complained, “For all we know, this Cyber Cloth could have caused this to make a quick buck!” She said as Luna narrowed her eyes at them.

“The chief of the Canterlot Police & the head of the Investigations Department recommended the Cyber Sleuth, Rainbow Dash. I recommend you stop making any false allegations.” She said that Rainbow Dash looked scared and confused.

“False what?”

“Blaming someone who did nothing.” Twilight dumb it down for her. Applejack turned to her.

“I suggest you watch that mouth of yours.” Said Applejack “The local police have been complaining about us using our magic to cause some trouble.” She said “Granny Smith is mad at me for kicking down our competitor’s trees which got me grounded for 2 months.” She said as Fluttershy looked down.

“The neighbors have been complaining about me using my geode to attract any strays towards my home and they’ve been relieving themselves in their lawns.” She said sadly as they turned to Rainbow.

“What?” she said as Luna walked up to her.

“We also got complaints of a strong wind that’s been knocking down their trash cans when they get their morning papers.” She said which Rainbow gulped. “Either you all control yourselves, or Celestia and I will confiscate those geodes of yours.” She said, which made them protective of them.

“(Muffle Voice) Once you have a taste of power, you cannot help but be tainted by its corruption.” They all turned to see a weirdo in a weird getup.

“Who the heck are you?” Said Rainbow as Fluttershy backed away as Luna walked up to him.

“Are you the Cyber Sleuth?” she asked.

“Yes.” He spoke.

“Ahh… thank you for coming.” She said as she and him gave a firm handshake.

“Now, will you lead these… children out of the building?” He asked which ticked Rainbow.

“HEY! We’re not kids and we’re not going anywhere!” She said as Celestia walked in.

“Yes, you are Miss Dash.” She said which made her jump, “Or will you spend the next 3 weekends replanting the school’s football field without magic after your last speed run?” She said which made her gulp and turned to the Cyber Sleuth.

“This isn’t over.” She said as she walked out as Sunset was about to read his mind, he stepped back before she could grab him.

“What are you doing?” He asked Sunset “May I teach you that grabbing strangers or strangers grabbing you is considered sexual harassment?” He said which made Sunset jump back.

“WHAT?!” She said while blushing.

“My friends in the police departments have seen you grabbing people. They don’t know why but they’ve considered it as harassment.” He said which made Celestia grab Sunset’s shoulders.

“I’ll have a word with her.” She said as she and Luna led them out of the school. “I recommend you stop reading people’s minds. Given how you do it, it is considered some acts of perversion.” Said Celestia.

“But how can we-”

“He’s been doing these cases before you got your magic.” Answered Celestia. “I’m starting to see that you depend on your geodes too much, you suspect anyone that is odd. His receptionist explains that the disguise is to hide his identity from any criminal accomplices. So, I recommend you stop using your geodes, you’re jumping to conclusions for the wrong reasons.” Said Celestia, which made Sunset grab her geode.

(“Is it possible that having these geodes makes us jumpy?”) Thought Sunset as The Cyber Sleuth walked to find the cause.

The Computer Lab
Hack made it to the computer class as he turned on one of the computers. “Time to go to work.” Hack said to himself as he placed his hand in front of the screen as a portal appeared as he was absorbed into it, and it vanished in thin air.

Network Tunnel

Hack was floating in a network tunnel. As 3 Digimon appeared next to him. “Alright, Dorumon, Kudamon & BlackGuilmon! Let’s get to work!” Said Hack “We have to find the source of the havoc in school. Let’s go!”

“YEAH!” They all cheered as they ran after Hack as he flew through the tunnel as they were looking for the problem in Canterlot High network to discover a Digimon that was wrecking up the network. It had gray skin, a round head, green eyes, a large mouth, long antennae, and a frill around its neck. Its arms are long and thin, and its hands have a symbol on the backs. Its torso seems to consist of strips of flesh that dangle separately at the lower end.

“Hey…” Said Dorumon “I’ve known that Digimon.” Hack turned to him.

“You do?”

“So do I.” Said BlackGuilmon. “Uh… what’s his name again?” Kudamon shook his head.

“That is Keramon.” Kudamon answered, “You wouldn’t remember his name because he’s only been in Digi-school for one day.” She explained that Hack went to his Digivice and pressed an app that had a Digimon holding a book as the picture.

“Sensei Bokomon.” Said Hack as a Digimon wearing a lab coat with a pink haramaki holding a book.

“Ah… Hack. How may I help you?” He asked.

“Can you give me some info on a Digimon called Keramon?” He asked, Bokomon didn’t look happy.

“Wait a moment, please?” He said as he materialized himself from Hack’s Digivice and turned to the Keramon that was wrecking the system. “Ah… yes. I know this one personally.” He said “Keramon was once a student in my school.” Hack looked at him.

“Once?”

“I had to expel him after he attacked some Digimon to load their data to Digivolve himself.” He said as Hack looked disgusted.

“How revolting.” He spoke.

“Exactly, he blamed me, but he also blamed education and school for being rejected.” Said Bokomon as Hack realized it.

“So, he’s wrecking the network in my school as payback against you?” He said, which made him mad. “Normally, I don’t make it personal, but he made a girl that annoys me so much, landed on me. It's personal.” He said his Digimon team looked concerned for him as he marched to Keramon. “HEY!” He yelled as Keramon turned to Hack.

“What the? A human in cyberspace?” He said Bokomon appeared next to him. “YOU!” Screamed Keramon.

“That’s right!” Yelled Bokomon “I see that you haven’t changed your personality.” He said “Attacking and frightening poor humans as vengeance against me! I cannot let you continue to do this!” He yelled as Keramon snarled at him.

BUG BLASTER

Keramon spews out a bullet of light at Bokomon, but Hack grabs him and jumps out of the way.

“I can see negotiation is off.” He said Keramon laughed at Hack.

“Negotiations are for the weak!” He yelled as he began to glow and turned into a cocoon with spikes and tentacles.

“And he Digivolved.” Said Hack as Bokomon looked worried.

“He Digivolved into Chrysalimon, a Champion-Level. Beware of his Data Crusher and his Misconnecting or your data will be deleted, Hack.” Warned Bokomon.

“Got it.” He spoke.

“*Maniacal Laughing* This is the power I wanted! I’ll destroy all your precious schools!” He yelled as Hack pulled out his Digivice.

“Not today or any other day.” Said Hack as it glowed and Kudamon, Dorumon & BlackGuilmon glowed.

“Kudamon Digivolve to… Reppamon!”

“Dorumon Digivolve to… Dorugamon!”

“BlackGuilmon Digivolve to… BlackGrowlmon!”

Three Champion-Level Digimon appeared, which shocked Chrysalimon. “WHAT?! HOW?! I DEFEATED MANY DIGIMON AND ABSORB THEIR DATA!!! I WORKED HARD FOR IT! WHY ARE YOU WEAKLINGS DIGIVOLVE WITH EASE?!” He yelled at Bokomon and looked at him.

“They Digivolved because they have a bond with Hack!” He yelled as they smiled hearing that. “They are equals to him as they see him as their equal!” He yelled as Chrysalimon snarled.

“THAT’S GARBAGE!!!” He roared.

DATA CRUSHER

Chrysalimon fired his tentacles at Hack as Reppamon stopped them with her tail.

“You won’t hurt our friend!” she yelled

LION CLAW

Reppamon slashed Chrysalimon’s tentacles off as he screamed as both Dorugamon and BlackGrowlmon tackled Chrysalimon into the ground.

“NOW!” yelled Hack.

POWER METAL

BLACK EXHAUST FLAME

Dorugamon fired a large iron ball from its mouth as BlackGrowlmon breathed a stream of black fire at Chrysalimon, who screamed as Reppamon jumped in the air.

ROLLING TACKLE

She yelled as she dropped and spun as her tail went through Chrysalimon. “NO!!!” Screamed Chrysalimon as he disintegrated into data, leaving a large purple egg with green eyeball patterns on it.

“Threat taken down.” Said Hack as he picked up the egg. “If only he listens to his teacher.” He turned to Bokomon. “Do you want the egg? All Digimon who get turned back to a Digi-Egg lose all their memories, if that is correct?” Bokomon nodded. “Maybe he’ll be reborn as a good Digimon with the right teacher?” He said as he handed the Digi-Egg to Bokomon.

“I’ll raise him to be good.” He said as he turned to his team and gave them the thumbs up.

“Great work, pals.” He said as he looked at the damages, “Now we got to restore all this damage.” He said as he looked at his Digivice. “Datamon? Can you restore this damaged network?” Hack asked. A small machine creature appeared from his Digivice.

“(Shy female voice) Uh… I can… I can also improve the firewall and Wi-Fi to make sure no viruses can cause any destruction or lagging, if it’s okay?” She asked nervously as Hack smiled.

“Only if you promise me you won't use the Wi-Fi to look at computer blueprints.” He said, which made Datamon blush.

“Uh… I’m sorry for that.” She said as she went to work improving while Hack and the other cleaned up the damage.

MEANWHILE, INSIDE THE SCHOOL
Rainbow Dash sneaked back inside while Celestia and Luna weren’t looking as Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer grabbed her by the shoulders.

“And what are you doing here?” Said Sunset as Rainbow looked nervous.

“Uh…”

“You’re trying to interfere with The Cyber Sleuth.” Said Twilight which made her flinch, “Is your ego more important listening to what others say and can do that you can’t do?” Rainbow pouted as if something flew past them.

“What was that?!” Yelled Sunset as the others came in, even Celestia and Luna came but were angry.

“Your punishment will start this weekend, young lady.” Said Celestia.

“And your geode along with the others will be confiscated.” Said Luna which made them sad but mad at Rainbow Dash. Fluttershy looked up to see something hanging in the shadows.

“Is that a bat?” She said which scared Rarity.

“AHHH!!! A flying rat with wings! It might have rabies!” The bat in the shadows spread its wings and flew to the group to reveal a round bat creature with big talons and a blue mask with a skull on it.

“(Little girl’s voice) Who are you calling a rat with wings!?” She yelled at Rarity which made them look shocked by a big bat that’s talking.

“Uh… Sunset… Are there any talking bats in Equestria?” Asked Pinkie which freaked out Sunset.

“THERE ARE NO TALKING BATS IN EQUESTRIA!!!” She yelled, which made the bat look at them.

“Equestria?” She said which shocked her “It’s the nosy animal girls! You’re not supposed to be here!” Rainbow grabbed it.

“I knew it! That freak with the mask is the culprit for this!” yelled Rainbow Dash which made the bat creature angry.

“Don’t frame my friend!” She yelled and bit Rainbow’s arm.

“GAAAHHH!!!” Rainbow released her and turned to the group.

“Go to bed!”

EVIL WHISPER

The bat’s eyes glowed as it affected them as they all fell asleep. “Oh dear… Lucemon will smack me for this.” She said as she saw the Art Class behind them and gave a grin. “But first… a little fun.” She said and she flew into the classroom.

5 Minutes Later
“Hello? Hello?"said Hack as he tried to wake up the Rainbooms & Co-Principal Sisters. They all woke up to see Hack, which Rainbow screamed.

“Take that mask off!” She yelled.

“Learn some modesty.” He said “Also what is with the graffiti on your faces?” He asked as they all looked at each other, they all started laughing as Rarity screamed as she looked at her compact mirror.

“Who did this to me!” She yelled as Hack looked at them.

“Uh… I didn't do this to you but I think you need to wash the paint off.” He said as he walked out “I’ll send you my routing number for you to transfer the money.” He said as he walked away.

“Wait a minute!” Yelled Rainbow as Luna grabbed Rainbow and removed her geode.

“Your punishment will start this weekend.” She said as Rainbow groaned.

Hack’s Warehouse
Hack got out of Machmon’s car as he had Demidevimon on his shoulder. “You better tell why you doodle on their faces.” He said Demidevimon looked sad.

“I’m sorry but I was doing my job to prevent any students from entering the school, but I was called a rat with wings and the rainbow haired one grabbed me and talked about how you caused the destruction to get rich!” She explained “I couldn’t let her talk smack about you.” She said as Hack patted her head.

“Just don’t let them get to you next time.” Spoke Hack as he turned to her. “You didn’t leave any graffiti when you were there?” He asked as Demidevimon shook her head.

“Nope.”

Rainbow was being dragged by her friends. “Your ego got you in trouble, Dashy!” Said Applejack as Rainbow frowned as she saw a big bite mark on her arm.

“What the?” She said as she showed her bite mark to them “When did I get this?” She said as Pinkie gasped.

“That big talking bat!” She yelled as Fluttershy remembered it.

“Didn’t she say that The Cyber Sleuth is her friend and don’t frame him?” She spoke, which made them curious.

“Who is he or her?” Said Sunset.

Uh-oh... The Rainbooms are now thinking Hack AKA The Cyber Sleuth is responsible for the destruction in their school.
