A Screwy redemption

"HAH HA! You see?! She wants to have fun with me because, WE'RE FRIENDS. She can't blast me with lovey doveyness because, WE'RE FRIENDS. I'm free FOREVER! HAH HA HA!!!"

Screwball quietly watched amongst the crowd of ponies, as she thought that her father wouldn't allow her to make new friends after all.....

"NOT, YOUR, FRIEND!!!"

"Who cares?! I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. I'm Discord! The master of chaos! You think you get to boss Discord around? You think I'm just going to turn all this back because YOU say so? Because if I don't, I'll lose the one friend I've ever met?!"

Discord's eyes widened in realization.

"Oh............. Oh......... Well played Cadance............. Well played............."

Discord reverted the shield back to how it was, and made the ladybugs normal again.

Screwball warmly smiled as she believed that the feud between her family and the ponies was finally over.

"I liked it better my way but, I guess when you're friends you can't always have things exactly the way all the time, eh?"

Screwball ran up to her father and embraced him with a warm hug, which he warmly reciprocated.

The ponies collectively awed at a touching father/daughter reunion.

Later......

"Yes princess, we're ready to use our magic for good instead of evil............. Most of the time........."

Screwball let out a snicker at her dad's statement.

"Congratulations on your success ponies, and especially to you Cadance, for managing to see the good in Discord. And to you Shining Armor as well, for getting Screwball to see a better path."

Shining Armor kneeled in conformation at the princess's compliment.

"You were right when you made the choice to have Cadance be the one to reform Discord, and have Shining be the one to reform Screwball. By treating them as a friend, they got them to realize that friendship was actually important to them. And once something they knew they had, they didn't want to lose."

"Now that our job is finished, you care to enjoy the rest of our honeymoon dear?"

"You know I'd love to dear."

"Ehh! gag! Get a room you two!"

"Umm yeah! Hello? There is literally a child here! Gross!"

Everyone else merely chuckled as the couple kept nuzzling.

"Well, I'm not gonna be able to unsee that. Guess I don't need these guys anymore." Screwball took out her eyeballs and threw them in the trash, as Discord pulled them out and gave them back to her.

"You might still need them for other things sweetie." Discord assured, as Screwball placed them back with a warm smile.
