A Meeting Within the Cosmos
The Golden Oak Library. A remarkably stocky tree serving as both a library and Twilight's home. Inside, the purple pony was reorganizing the books back in alphabetical order after Rainbow Dash yet again crashed her way through the window.
Unfortunately, Rainbow Dash couldn't help since she had a "busy schedule" ahead of her, but she did place as much books on top of each other as she could before leaving. This left Twilight to let out a light sigh, thanking Rainbow Dash in her mind. At least Rainbow Dash tried her best, and Twilight had Spike to help her clean up the library. The tiny dragon stacked several books for Twilight to put in the shelves telekinetically while on a ladder. While rearranging the orders of one particular shelf, Twilight stumbled upon an unfamiliar book.
Spike, seeing Twilight suddenly pause and staring at a book, asks her if she's alright. Twilight, realizing her sudden pause, immediately replies to Spike and nods her head to further communicate her feelings. Her eyes lock back on to the mysterious book. After a long glaze on the book, Twilight sets the book gently on one of the podiums near her. Her focus turns back to putting the books in order and tidying up the library.
The library was finally cleaned in the way the neat freak liked it. Spike drifted back into sleep before the cleaning was concluded on his pillow. Twilight meanwhile trots leisurely to the podium that held the book she reserved earlier. Seeing the amount of dust it has collected, Twilight inhales and distributes the air equally on the book, making the air detach the dust on the cover. She wipes off the leftover dust off of it with her hoof and finally takes a look.
The illustration was... Confusing to look at to say the least. It shows two balls; one with all of Equestria's diverse physical features from , the other only filled with darkness and a question mark in the center of it. It didn't even have the name of the author. This book isn't saying... Could you travel to another planet?
If you know anything about Twilight, you know how fond she is of astronomy. She has spent hours gathering information about space through books and observation with telescopes that could see mountains of the moon and other nearby planets.
The curious pony turns to the first page and thoroughly reads it with her bright, narrow eyes. Its pages were filled with lists of words focusing on various topics like the amount of mathematics it took, the intense dedication to pull off a spell, its consequences if failed, demonstrations and finally, the spell itself. The author describes the spell as "an abomination to what everypony knows" and it "too risk for everypony to know". Why did they write the book in the first place? Twilight doesn't know. They could've died with the secret.
Intrigued, Twilight scans over the demonstration and concentrations on the basic fundamentals of casting the spell. It lists that diligence and an immense use of magic beyond any other documented spells. It's described as "a teleportation spell, but it takes you far beyond what the pony mind can think of." For their experience, they witnessed "a whole change of scenery in Equestria." The anonymous author portrays the landscape they traveled in as filled with vibrant dark green grass, sturdy gray cliffs, clear waterfalls that would make any pony's jaw drop, groves of the tallest trees he's ever seen, shiny sapphire lakes, mountains stretching for Celestia knows how long, and crowded meadows that reminded them of the Everfree Forest if it was gentler and vigorous. It surely sounded like a breathtaking and leisure stroll in a place no pony has ever trotted on.
After rereading the demonstrations over and over again, Twilight closes the book with a new goal: to cast the spell. She places a small saddle bag over her back and puts the book inside of it.
She knew trial and error would occur, but with enough perseverance, she can do it. The purple pony gallops out of her library and far outside of Ponyville to spare it from the failures she'll be facing that could possibly harm anyone. Her swift legs worked hard on bring her to the destination where she can practicing. Ahead of her when she approached the train station was a vast green field. Perfect! Twilight times her jump and pushes herself off the ground to go over the train tracks. Her hooves strike the landing, pushing dirt particles and tiny rocks out of the way before continuing to gallop.
Finally, Twilight stops to pant for a little. She checks her distance from Ponyville to where she's at right now, a small hill with a couple of rocks popping out of the grass. Her book is gradually pulled from the bag and laid onto the ground for Twilight to read whenever. Now was the moment to attempt to pull of the spell. With immense intentness on the task, Twilight began to use every part of herself to cast it.
Error after error, Twilight Sparkle would find herself being knocked back, thrown around, teleported to a random place in Equestria she already knew about, knocked back again by an explosion, or spawn in her bucking nightmare she had somehow. Her stamina and mental health imploded and caused her to rage. Twilight was about to stomp the ground and turn herself into that burning pony before stopping herself.
She expected this and told herself about this. Why is she angry at something she can't control knowing damn well this is her first time trying? In fact, Twilight should've been noting how her efforts have gotten her this far and feel proud about it. Taking a deep breath, Twilight stands up straight and focusing on control her magic again. Slowly, she began to feel process accelerate. Her redefined dedication brought her closer to hexing herself.
Before she knew it, her vision suddenly changes to pure black with tiny bright dots and several spiral-shaped lights emitting various colors. Twilight blinked out of the vision and shakes her head, her front left hoof placed on it. It's—possible.
Twilight attempts again. Her horn lights up again with more white particles and purple aura emitting than ever. Her hooves stay firmly put on the ground and her head slowly descends as exertion spiked. The build up began to overwhelm once again, but having experience it several times she persisted until a giant ball of purple magic hovered over her. It's here where she will finally pull it off, the spell one other pony has over done...
That's until Spike managed to track down her location and ran up the small hill towards her with something in his hand. In her peripheral vision, Twilight saw Spike and her eyes widen. Immediately, the giant ball fell onto her and white light rays shot out. One hit Spike's eyes which instantly began to burn it. He yells and covers his eyes with his tiny arms. The next minute when Spike opens his eyes again the sphere was gone, and so was Twilight.
Asteroids, stars, planets, planetary systems, galaxies, galaxy clusters, nebulas, all zooming right past Twilight at the speed of light. All of it reflected onto her eyes as she tries to process what's she's witnessing. They also looked so... Distorted. It was like she was flying through a tunnel with the walls constantly moves either up or down, filled with the listed celestial objects. Far ahead of her was a purple sphere, and she was approaching it fast. Slowly, Twilight's mind grew exhausted and drifts off, so are her eyes and consciousness. What awaits her?
Author's Note
This is my first ever fanfic and I feel proud of how it's looking so far. What's Twilight going to see next? It'll be in the perspective of someone else. đź‘€

A Meeting Within the Cosmos
The night approached. The suburb outside was slowly drained of its artificial illumination as people got ready to sleep or stay up or whatever reason they could have, but I'm not one to judge since I'm also guilty of it. In my case I was on my couch, resting my arm on its arm and looking out the window to see the sky and its numerous celestial objects that filled the dark abyss, especially the bright full moon. It would bring a sense of enlightenment and tranquility in me every time I took the time to admire space. Who knows? Maybe an extraterrestrial being is also out there looking up and wondering the same thing.
About that last sentence, never ever think of something along the lines of what I thought of. Immediately after I thought of humanity's biggest question, an electric spark erupted in the sky. It was followed by several more intense sparks and soon, a purple hue appeared and surrounded them. Being me, I stood up and went to go investigate the... Well, I don't mind. Is it even a good idea to check it out?
I slid the door open slowly and poked my head outside. The thing seems to be growing bigger and bigger. Never have I had my heart sank so far, not since that trumpet audition, but my brain urged my body to keep looking. The thing wouldn't stop growing with each second passing by as the hue and sparks shaped themselves into—a spherical oval? I broke out of my body's stalemate after several seconds and jerked my head back indoors. I wanted to slide my door shut, but my hand was shaking violently. The scene was just... A lot to take in.
When I saw it concluding its formation, something clicked in my mind. It looked like a p-

.
Ah fuck... My ears wouldn't stop ringing. Some kind of heavy explosion set off in the backyard and it knocked me down hard. It's also exposed me to double vision for the first time, and it was so trippy along with my eyes being blurry. It took some time, but I managed to grab onto something to barely stand up. I placed my arm over my eyes searching for the portal, but it was gone. The only thing I saw? The havoc of my backyard and its surroundings left by it.
Almost nothing green in sight; it was dirt and debris spread everywhere. A couple of trees collapsed and either hit the ground or struck some utility poles. As my hearing got better, my ears picked up on the alarms of several cars and grunts nearby. Without hesitation, I limped my way to a person's excruciating yet low moans in the smoke. The heavy smoke made it almost impossible to see, so I had to rely heavily on my senses of feeling and hearing.
My hands felt something along the way. Soft fur and twitching. At first I thought it was a dog judging by the body structure, but the moans of a person came from the general area. There's no way a dog can mimic humans. Does this girl... Enough thinking, I have to save her.
I held the person in my hands and turned around to get back home. The uneven ground made it tough to navigate smoothly. Being unable to open my eyes was the most excruciating part. My feet sometimes got caught in a deep hole or roll from a sturdy obstacle. There were too many cases where I would either trip or drop her, but after like three minutes, I felt wood tiles underneath me and walked further into my living room.
I made my way to where I think the couch is. Before setting the girl down, I had to strike my foot to know where I really was. Anytime I felt nothing, I took another step. Slowly, I advanced my way towards a solid and cushy texture. After feeling more of the furniture and verifying it, I lay the girl there and opened my eyes again to see her.
What I saw widen my eyes and made me gasp heavily. It wasn't a girl, but a... Small purple horse? One with a horn on its head?! That's—That's impossible, isn't it?! I shook my head to get rid of any possible hallucinations, but the horse was still there. Is... Are those stars on its haunches? One surprising thing to note was despite how catastrophic the explosion was, she seemed to made it out pretty much contacted with only bruises and cuts. I'm pretty sure I found... Her at the center of the impact.
Wait, a portal-like thing and now an odd looking pony. Did this pony get shot out of the portal? Is this... An extraterrestrial pony? Am I crazy?
Before more thoughts could rise, I heard sirens approaching the scene as first as they can. I didn't know what to do.
Do I give up this pony to them? But then what, Antonio? Does the pony get end up in the possession with the government because of me? How would I know she would be treated and released like any other animal?
There weren't any risks I'm willing to take; I've made up my mind. I held the pony's body and held it in my hands as if it were a dog. Did I mention how heavy she was? I thought I was carrying a few packs of 24 water bottles. This pony's weight made me tremble and shake a lot as I carried it to an untouched room just down the hall with the door next to my room's door. The sirens were getting louder each second, my adrenaline was rushing, so I gave it my all to get it to the room and lay it.
My legs trembled as I took small steps on the carpet. One by one, my chances of collapse grew and felt like my next step would be the last one, but I had luck on my side. Slowly, I grabbed onto the door knob and twisted it open. There, I dropped the pony down onto a rug and inspected her further. I briefly checked its pulse and verified that it's alive. Seeing that it's now safe, I walk back out to the wreckage of my backyard and the living room wall to check the damages I overlooked. So glad I have insurance to cover this, I think.
About four minute later, someone came knocking on my door as I'm checking myself for any wounds around my legs I received from that impact. It's also around this time where the ambulances and the police have arrived, so I assuming they're checking to see if I'm okay. I made my way towards the front door and looked through the peep hole to confirm that it was in fact a police officer. Shortly after, a couple more knocks were followed up with a voice.
"San Diego County Sheriff's, we'd like to talk to you for a moment."
His intimidating voice sent shivers down my spine. Slowly, I opened my door and poked my head a little.
"Hello there sheriff, is there anything I can do for you?" I spoke softly.
"No need to be afraid, we're just here to gather information of what happened in your backyard. Do you have any information about the incident?"
I opened the door fully to face the sheriff. "No I... I was on my couch when it happened. Parts of the wall facing the yard were torn off and injured me."
"Do you need to go to the hospital for any wounds, severe ones specifically?
"No thanks, I've got it handled."
The sheriff nodes his head slowly and asks another question.
"Alright—is there anyone with you or is it just you?"
"Just me, mister. I live alone."
I could see him furiously taking notes rapidly with his pencil.
"The backyard. Do you own explosives? We're unsure of the source yet. In fact, it's got us puzzled right now."
"No, sir."
"Well then." He closes his notepad. "I suppose we'll have to ask more around. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. In case something pops up, give us a call."
"I sure will." I smile and watch him walk away. Closing the door, I sigh in relief and walk to the kitchen to treat myself with some leftovers. The refrigerator had nothing that sparked interest, until I saw a leftover tamal between the spinach container and an empty box of eggs. I reach for it and grab a plate to put in on before heating it in the microwave for one minute.
My brain urges for me to use the minute to reflect on what happened. The portal, the purple pony, the damage to my property, my minor wounds, being questioned, all of that. How—no, why did the portal, out of anywhere on Earth it could've been summoned, did it have to appear in my backyard? The small unicorn, why's it here? If I'm correct, it must be the one who summoned the portal. Their horns do magic, right? Anyways, I've got to know what's its deal is he-... It probably doesn't speak anyways, forget about that. But as for the stars on it. It looked like a tattoo that could mean something to the anim-
beep, beep, beep, bee- clink, ring, ring, ring, clink
The smoke and heat of the tamal after opening the microwave tells me that it's ready to be eaten. I take the plate to the dining table and settle it down. As I'm about to sit down, I look at the apple bowl nearby. I never really had a knack for eating apples, their skin and flesh can get to your skin and it's annoying having to use a floss to get it out. However, I will say that they are juicy in a great way. Horses eat apples, right? Maybe I could leave one for the unicorn pony when it walks it.
I grab an apple from the bowel and take it to the sink to wash it before giving it. With a paper towel, I cover it to absorb the water and walk to the room where I hid her. A silent creak is sounded as I open the door to look at it again and seeing it now, I felt less anxious. Its... Her? Her wounds seems to be healing better than I've expected. It had a unique kind of mane, a straight hairstyle with dark purple and brighter ones in the middle stretching down to her neck. Same goes for her tail.
I lay the paper towel-covered apple on a small table and tiptoe out of the room to leave it be. When it wakes up, I could try to interact with it by copying its neighs.
"You need to stop thinking already," I say to myself as I go back to the dining table to enjoy my tamal.

I'm sorry if this chapter is a downgrade from the previous one. I'm trying 1st person for the time and it's been a struggle. Hopefully I get the grasp of it later.
