“You’re going to go save our new mom?” Cera asked, her voice hopeful but tinged with worry.

Solar Night Dust knelt down, his expression softening as he placed a hoof on Cera’s shoulder. “I want to take all of you, but I can’t. The forest is dangerous, and I need to know you’re safe.”

“But we can help!” Cera protested, stomping a hoof.

Zecora stepped forward, her gaze calm but firm. “Only three of you may remain behind; this is not a choice that is unkind. The journey ahead is fraught with fear, but your safety is paramount here.”

Solar Night Dust sighed and looked at the group of young ones. “Spike, Ruby, and Chomper—you must stay behind,” he said with resolve.

Sadly moaned Spike.

Will be back said ducky. she gave spike a hug.

Ruby and Chomper exchanged uneasy glances.

“We can fight too,” Ruby said, her voice steady.

“I know you can,” Solar said with a small smile. “But this isn’t just about fighting. It’s about making sure there’s someone strong here if anything happens while we’re gone.”

Chomper lowered his gaze. “We just don’t want you to get hurt.”

“I promise I’ll come back,” Solar Night Dust said, his voice firm and reassuring.

Spike hesitated before nodding.

Solar gave a small nod of appreciation, then turned to the rest of the group. “Let’s move. We’re running out of time.”

Little foot has joined the party.
Little foot wears a green, tattered cloak, with a metal tree star necklace around his neck. He repeatedly mutters, “I won’t lose another mother.”

Cera has joined the party.
Cera wears a shiny rock necklace, a gift from Lilly Pad. The necklace reminds her of her stepmother, someone she believed she could love.

Ducky has joined the party.
Ducky is wearing a mushroom hat and a white-gray cloak, looking determined and ready to help.

Petri has joined the party.
Petri wears a cloak, his expression serious and focused.

Zerrcoa has joined the party.
Zerrcoa keeps saying the future I do not see.
Zerrcoa’s bag is filled with potion bottles and herbs, signaling her readiness for any situation.

Solar Night Dust has joined the party.
Solar keeps repeating, “Whatever it takes.” He wears his wedding ring on his horn and carries a bag with a picture from their wedding and a sword.

There stood the being of the everfree forest.

How long will this be ask Cera.

A month said Solar night dust.

Follow me said Zerrcoa.

They followed Zerrcoa

As they traveled deeper into the Everfree Forest, the path became more difficult to follow. Roots of ancient trees snaked across the ground, making each step an obstacle. The further they walked, the darker it seemed to get. Despite the canopy above, the forest felt suffocating, as though something was watching them from the shadows.

Zerrcoa led the way, her footsteps sure and steady. She moved with confidence, as if the forest itself had spoken to her, guiding her path. “This way,” she called over her shoulder, never pausing in her steps.

Cera looked up at Solar, her voice soft. “Do you think we’re getting closer?”

“I don’t know,” Solar replied, his voice distant. “But we’ll keep going. We have to.”

Littlefoot, despite his determination, couldn’t help but feel the weight of the journey pressing on him. “I won’t lose another mother,” he muttered again, the words more to himself than anyone else.

Solar Night Dust’s gaze hardened. “We won’t. We’ll bring her back.”

The group continued through the forest, their steps echoing in the silence, the weight of the task ahead bearing down on them. They knew the dangers the forest held, but they were determined to face them. Whatever it took.
They walked further into the Everfree, the light fading as the dense canopy swallowed the last remnants of the sun. The air grew colder, and the distant sounds of nocturnal creatures filled the silence.

“It’s getting dark,” Solar Night Dust said, coming to a halt. “We can stop now. We need rest to keep our strength up.”

The group nodded, exhaustion showing in their eyes. The dinosaurs collapsed onto the soft forest floor, their weariness evident after the long trek.

“I’ll gather wood to light a fire,” Zecora offered, her tone never dire.
“Rest your heads, but do not stray;
The forest is alive and may lead you away.”

Solar gave her a grateful nod. “Thank you, Zecora. Be careful.”

The dinosaurs huddled together for warmth, their small group a comforting reminder that they were not alone.

Soon, Zecora returned, her arms filled with branches and kindling. She carefully set up a fire pit in the center of their campsite.

Solar Night Dust stepped forward, pointing his horn at the prepared firewood. With a small surge of magic, the wood ignited, casting a warm glow across the clearing.

“We’ll rest here,” Solar said softly, looking around at the group. “We’re one step closer to bringing her back. Stay strong, everyone.”

Ill be on watch said solar night dust.

This is day one.

Day 2

Rarity went downstairs to begin her work, humming softly to herself.

“Where are my machines?” she asked, her voice filled with mild confusion.

“Fluttershy borrowed them,” Sweetie Belle said, peeking her head into the room.

“Could you ask her to return them, please?” Rarity asked with a small, polite smile.

“Yes, I will,” Sweetie Belle replied before heading out the door.

A pegasus entered the shop, gliding effortlessly on roller skates.

“You must be the famous Rarity,” the pegasus said with a warm smile.

Rarity blushed slightly. Ever since Princess Cadance’s wedding, so many ponies had come to visit her boutique.

“How can I help you?” Rarity asked, her voice gracious and professional.

Mommy, wait for me!” a small voice called out.

A little bat pony came in on roller skates, trailing after the pegasus.

“A bat pony?” Rarity said, her voice tinged with surprise.

“I found her in the Everfree,” the pegasus explained.

“She has two types of wings,” Rarity observed, still intrigued.

“Bat and pegasus,” the pegasus confirmed.

“I’m super fast!” the filly exclaimed with a grin before zooming to Canterlot and back “Whoosh!”

“Why are her bat wings covered in fabric?” Rarity asked, her curiosity piqued.

“The magic from her birth burned them,” the pegasus explained solemnly.

“May I examine them?” Rarity asked the filly gently.

“Yes,” the little bat pony replied, her voice small and hesitant.

Rarity used her magic to carefully unwrap the wings. Beneath the fabric, there were patches of scarred skin where the wings should have been.

“What is your name, little one?” Rarity asked softly.

“Golden Dust,” the filly replied.

“And yours?” Rarity asked, turning to the pegasus.

“Golden Crown,” the pegasus answered with a warm smile.
