EPISODE 2- THE FORGOTTEN BATTLEFIELD

The TARDIS flew through time, twilight was baffled by the time travel and she really wanted to ask the doctor how any of this worked but she knew she had to keep quiet so she simply asked one question that was the most confusing to her and needed to be answered.

“Doctor, why is this ship bigger on the inside when on the outside it's way smaller?”

The doctor looked away from the control panel and said “it's simple, this whole place is not really inside the blue box! It's a whole other pocket dimension contained inside the blue box! And even if you go a thousand miles in one direction it will never end. It's an endless maze of corridors and rooms that only I know how to traverse!”

“But then how did you do that without magic? You have no horn!”

“It's not magic, it's advanced science!”

“Well I’m a bit of a scientist myself and in my years of study I’ve never seen anything like this..”

“Because it hasn’t happened yet in your reality Mr’s sparkle!”

“Why do you keep talking about universes and realities? What does that even mean?”

“Well..” the doctor looked around and saw a piece of paper and a pencil “think of it this way!” He drew two circles with scribbles wrapping around them “we’ll call this circle here my universe and this one here yours and all of the lines around them are timelines! I was traveling though one of the interstellar lines that transport you to other points in time but then I accidentally broke through one of them sending me flying across the multiverse! And it just so happened to send me into your world here!”

Twilight thought about the explanation and said “Well that sort of makes sense so you're basically saying you broke through a wall that separated your universe from all the others and you then broke through our wall sending you to our universe?”

“In layman's terms yes!” the doctor then looked at the control panel and said “ah yes it seems were about the land!”

The TARDIS then landed with a thud and the two stepped out to see the same cliffside that the TARDIS was on before but now beyond the cliff was a barren wasteland of ash and destroyed infrastructure.

“What in the name of celestia happened here?” twilight said bewildered.

“Who's celestia?” the doctor said.

“We don't need to talk about that now but I’ve never heard of anything happening here!”

“Alright Mr’s sparkle, I think we should try and investigate the area and see what happened here…”

“I agree doctor, but let's go slowly, we don't want to alarm whoever is down there…”

“I like how you think Mr’s sparkle..”

The two ponies slid down the cliff side narrowly missing the spiky rocks that stuck out of the side of the cliff and they slowly made they’re way across the area.

“It looks like a big war happened down here, but I haven’t read in any of my books of any big battle happening around ponyville…”

“Maybe because it hasn’t happened yet..” the doctor said.

Twilight tilted her head and said “what does that mean? Were in the past so shouldn’t the past affect the future?”

“Well not exactly.. when you make a choice it simply makes a new line of decisions, So we've just arrived in another timeline where a battle had happened here that diverged from the original timeline. Time travel is strange. Time is a bunch of wibbly wobbly timey wimey mush..”

“Oh well I guess that makes sense doctor..”

They kept walking but then twilight stubbed her toe on some sort of metal object that was in the ground. The doctor took notice of the object and he then brushed off the dust and saw the face of a robotic type pony with their eyes dark with no color but on the head was a horn.

The doctor seemed to think for a second twilight looking concerned.

“Doctor? Is everything alright?”

“Well Mr.'s sparkle it's rather you ponies have very similar technological design to the planet of Mondas or this planet has been invaded by the cybermen, or in your words more like cyberponies…”

“What's a cyberpony doctor?”

“Well Mr.'s sparkle cyberponies in your words are creatures that decided to turn their entire race into robots that strive to turn all creatures into they’re kind they obviously look different in my universe but I guess with my entrance of your dimension came other alien species that reformed themselves to your universes logic and now they’re cyberponies..”

“So are you saying these “cyberponies” might have went back in time and tried to take this planet and this is the remains of the battle?”

“Yes Mr.'s sparkle.. But it doesn’t seem like they got too far before being stopped by.. Something else..”

“What do you mean something else?”

“Well if you look at the body there are no open wounds, just dents and that means they were not killed with normal weapons but with directed energy weapons…”

“So something alien took these ponies out?”

“It seems like it.. Twilight I need you to use your magic to carry this bot back to the TARDIS so I can try to get him running again…”

Twilight did a double take and said “are you insane?! You just said these things will go to any length to turn ponies to cyberponies couldn’t they just call a troop of cyberponies to come and kidnap us turning us into robots!”

“Well if we have any chance at finding the culprit for who shot these lasers we'll need an eye witness which looks like they're laying on the ground out here! I’ll make sure to remove all of his violent features and I’ll just interrogate him and find out what happened to these cyberponies..”

“Well alright doctor as long as you're sure that this is a good idea”

“Trust me, I’m a doctor!”

Twilight nodded and lifted the cyberpony with her magic, a purple aura engulfing the metal beast and it levitating into the air.

“This thing is really heavy, doctor!”

“Strange.. So you can feel the weight of objects when levitating them. Maybe later you can tell me more about your magical abilities..”

“Sure I can do that but I feel like we should focus on hauling this big hunk of metal to the TARDIS..” twilight said in a bit of a strained voice.

“Yes I believe so as well come along Mr’s sp-” then the doctor stopped in his tracks looking around fearfully “did you hear that Mr’s sparkle?..”

“No I didn’t, what's wrong?..” twilight said in a whisper.

“Stay close to me Mr’s sparkle I think something is circling us…”

The two started to hear the clanking of metal get louder and louder as four figures got closer and standing there in front of them was four cyberponies with their hoofs raised ready for combat.

The cyberpony in the middle to the two ponies in front of him “inefficient organic lifeforms detected state your identities to head of horseshoe company”

“Horseshoe company huh you think you’d be a bit more imaginative when naming your companies! Don't you remember a mortal enemy when you see them?”

The head of the company stayed silent for a few seconds until saying “the doctor… we meet again after all this time!”

“It's not too nice to see you as well after all this time but it seems you're the last cybermen left on the battlefield!”

“Yes but we can still capture you and your associate or if we want, we could kill you.”

“Yes but you won't because I’m the doctor and I don't lose against idiotic buckets of bots like you!”

“What are we going to do, doctor?..” twilight said nervously.

“Well how about you get a taste of supersonic frequencies you metallic moro-” the doctor stood there after going for an item that was not there.

No pockets.

“Oh.. bollocks..”

“Doctor what do we do!..” twilight said in a whisper as the cyberponies got closer and closer.

“Mr’s sparkle.. The moment I say so.. Book it to the TARDIS..” the doctor said in a whisper.

The cyberponies were almost about to grab the two ponies and hope seemed to be lost.

“RUN!”

The two ponies shimmied from side to side and ran away from the cyberponies as they shot they’re lasers at the two. But right before they were able to get inside, Twilight was finally unable to carry the robot and dropped it in the dirt while she laid there trying to get her breath.

The doctor ran to her side trying to get her up before the cyberponies caught her but the ponies were getting closer and closer and soon they would be sent to the home ship and turned into a cyberpony.

So in reluctance the doctor said in desperation “listen I’ll be back for you and you will be safe just trust me..”

The doctor then booked it to the TARDIS and shot him off into space.

Twilight watched in horror as the doctor flew away from the scene and the cyberponies then found twilight and grabbed her, pulling her to the ship with a somber look on her face.

The doctor was in the TARDIS thinking. There wasn’t much time before twilight was turned into a metallic shell of her former self; he had to act faster than he had before until he noticed, while looking over the battlefield the cyberpony ship was still on the ground.

He just had to sneak onto the ship and disable the ship from the inside but he couldn’t do it without his sonic screwdriver. He looked around frantically for it until he saw it laying on the ground and he was ecstatic.

He took the controls and set it to send him behind the ship and after a bit of time he was there undetected. He exited the TARDIS and headed for the front before seeing a group of cyberponies holding twilight her crying for help while they dragged her inside and after a bit the front door was shut.

The doctor quickly looked around until he saw a vent on the side of the ship. He used the screwdriver to break off the panel and climb inside of the vent. He crawled for a long while until he accidentally crashed through the vent on the inside.

He then snuck around the ship hiding from cyberponies and making sure he knew where he was going.

Soon he was near the room where twilight was being held. He pulled out his sonic screwdriver and started to unlock the door but then he heard something coming down the hallway and it sounded like cyberponies.

The doctor kept the screwdriver on the lock and kept unlocking while the cyberponies got closer and closer. If he didn’t get this now he was a goner.

He then heard a click, the door had opened! The doctor then quickly ran inside and hid in a shadowy area in the room.

Inside was a table that twilight was strapped to; it was equipped with robotic hands and clamps and soldering tools used for robotic creation. Twilight laid on the table trying to find a way to get out but she couldn’t escape. She couldn’t use her magic because they had attached a sort of clamp onto her horn that blocked magical abilities.

Soon four cyberponies trotted into the room and encircled twilight on the table, her calling for help as the machine started she thrashed and screamed.

“DOCTOR! DOCTOR HELP ME!”

Twilight felt her hope drain and she accepted her fate until the doctor jumped out from the shadows and used the screwdriver to disable the one using the device and he quickly turned the device off saving twilight.

The cyberponies surrounded the doctor but one by one the ponies fell deactivated.

The doctor started to free twilight and said “it's nice to see you again Mr’s sparkle!”

“Oh doctor, that's an understatement! I thought I was going to be a large hunk of metal for a second there!” twilight said with an relieved voice.

The doctor undone the last strap and disabled the clamp around her horn making her able to use magic again. The two started to run for the front exit dodging the cyberponies around them.

The doctor and twilight made it to the door and the doctor started to use the sonic screwdriver to unlock the front. The cyberponies caught up to the two. They started blasting they’re lasers at the two.

Twilight put a magical shield up protecting the two from fire.

“Surrender yourselves and we shall be merciful!” said one of the cyberponies.

“Doctor!.. You may want to hurry up with that!.. This constant fire is making my magic weak!” twilight said with a straining voice.

The doctor concentrated on getting the lock undone but the lock was very advanced which was making it infinitely harder to unlock the cyberponies upgraded and now they were prepared.

“Doctor please!.. I can't hold it much longer!..”

The doctor kept working the situation was life, death, or a metallic afterlife. He kept working and working until..

The door slammed open and the two immediately booked it out of the ship making a b line to the TARDIS, the cyberponies tailing them from behind. The adrenaline rushed through they’re bodies as they ran to the TARDIS, the cyberponies getting closer and closer, the sound of their iron hooves clanking, hitting the ashen rocky ground beneath them filling the air with unease.

The two finally got to the TARDIS. The two opened the door and the doctor quickly set the TARDIS to shoot into space. The TARDIS shot off before the cyberponies could catch them and they were sent off into space.

The two laid up against the control panel to get some air after the action they were thrown into space.

“That was a close one eh Mr’s spar-.. Oh hey!” the doctor saw the disabled cyberpony sat on the ground twilights face looking proud.

“I didn’t forget, doctor..”

“Well that's just nice! Good work Mr’s sparkle we’ll be able to find out exactly what is trying to attack your world! Once I get the combat features removed and get the thing up and running again..”

“Well doctor how about now we rest. It's been a long day. I almost got turned into a robot and you had to save me! let's just get a breather…” twilight said with a tired voice.

Agreed Mr’s sparkle.. Agreed…”

The two sat down and rested now simply floating through space ending this chapter of they’re adventure.

But with one chapter ends another begins.

A few hours later twilight was helping the doctor with the cyberpony but out of nowhere the tardis shook. It had gotten hit by a meteor and he was sent into the abyss of space but not for long because now they were going on a crash trip onto another planet.
