Dark Calling

Prologue:

The words echoed in her head,

Hate,

Kill,

Burn,

Destroy,

Consume,

Indoctrinate,

Followed by screams and the smell of burning flesh.

Rainbow Dash woke suddenly in a pool of her own sweat, with some of her hair that had fallen out due to stress, this had been happening a lot, every night after the changeling attack. She knew if tis continued she would be bald and to tired to fly, so she decided out loud, “I guess tomorrow I will get help, but where.” Most of her friends were out of the question, Applejack would tease her, Rarity would faint at her bald patches, Fluttershy would get nightmares to if she told her, and Pinky would say some nonsense like, “your having nightmares again, this is like every fanfic, just don’t stab me this time, I know lets have a party!” Twilight on the other hand maybe of some help, with an entire library at her disposal, “I’ll go now, who needs day light, when you’re too tired to see anyway” she exclaimed and headed out into the night.

Deciding now was as good a time as any, Rainbow Dash smashed through Twilight’s window scaring the still studying mare half to death. “Rainbow Dash why can’t you use a door, and why are you hear so late at night?” the purple mare trailed of now looking more concerned than mad.

“Well I, have been having nightmares,” noticing Twilights now rather annoyed face she continued “but they continue in the day too, it’s like somepony is commanding me to do things I don’t want.” This caught Twilight’s attention.

“Oh when did they start?” asked the librarian curiously.

“A little after the changeling attack, maybe I just hit my head” the rainbow mare offered.

“Maybe but I’d like to take a look-“ a loud clanging bell cut of Twilight mid sentence.

“Darn humans, and their unnecessary noise” Twilight practically screamed. Humans arrived under the banner of the U.C.o.E. United Colonies of earth, and had done a few things, set up a embassy in Canterlot, a military recruitment station in Manehattan, a university in Trotingham, and a church on the outskirts of ponyville.

“Midnight mass what a ridicules idea” she continued but was abruptly cut off, by Rainbow Dash this time.

“Ok I’m going,” She said looking towards the church. “the sign out front says open to all seeking advice from above. So it can’t hurt I suppose.”

Twilight was shocked “Why, what they preach is not scientific!”

“They say magic isn’t scientific, and they travel space like an ocean, and move planets if they don’t like the view, so it can’t be too illogical.” Twilight took this in for a moment then accepted it.

“I’m coming with you then” she called out to Rainbow Dash who was already out the door.
