Dark Calling

Chapter 10: Revelation

Rainbow Dash wheeled around and vaporized her underlings with intense flames. She then picked up Scootaloo in her mouth and flew over the wall, when she landed there where 6 guns pointed right at her. The humans appeared confused, here was the demon that’s been slaughtering them, but now it just saved a filly and isn’t attacking.

“Burn demon!” Father Montgomery yelled as he ran forward and splashed a bowl of holy water on Rainbow Dash, then he coward behind one of the soldiers.

“Really, Montgomery?” RD deadpanned.

“What the fuck is going on?” One of the soldiers asked.

“I’ve changed, or rather I’ve un changed…” Rainbow Dash said trying to explain.

Suddenly a human wearing a trench coat and a ball cap jumped in front of the firing squad of soldiers and pointed a sword at Rainbow Dash’s neck. “I shall be the judge of that! I am Pierre Lemont, HERO 2nd class, now defend your self!”

He lunged forward, and Rainbow Dash just barely managed to dodge, as she dodged she tossed Scootaloo aside so she wouldn’t get hurt.  It was obvious that this was no ordinary human, the sword it wielded was a full 5.5 feet long, and it was wielding the sword with only one hand (note it is of European design so none of that ultra thin Katana BS). He swung again this time, she blocked the strike with her wings.

“So you are fast and you can take a hit, can’t have that.” As he said that his sword erupted in a swirling green energy.

“Look I don’t want to fight you!” Rainbow Dash yelled as she tried to take flight, she was slammed into the ground hard, this ‘human’ had telekinesis, no fair!

“Well I think we should hear her out.” Montgomery said from behind one of the soldiers.

Pierre formed an smg out of the trace amounts of metal in the soil and pointed it at the priest with his free hand. “What do you know that you aren’t telling us?” Pierre questioned.

“Well, the monsters are actual demons from hell, and this is Rainbow Dash.” Montgomery said as fast as he could.

“Well then, I believe that settles things then.” Pierre said as he sheathed his sword.

“Wait what?” Montgomery asked.

“We know everything else.” The super human stated as he walked away.

“Can you tell us then?” asked one of the soldiers.

The man paused and turned to RD. “If there isn’t any progress made by tomorrow night the U.C.o.E. will be firing a nuke in to the crater, and thus destroying the planet. If you really have changed then go to hell and finish this!” He said before resuming walking away.

“Well now I think that you should go properly prepared this time so-” The priest was cut off by a poof.

“Well that escalated quickly!” Rodriguez said, “Wait, Scootaloo! Looks like I’m saving you again.” He said as he rushed over to the barely conscious orange filly.

With a poof Rainbow Dash was in Wrath’s chamber.

“Well, what do you have to report?” the elite demon asked malice dripping from every word.

“That your going to die!” Rainbow Dash said as she lunged at him full speed actually sonic rain booming it the cavern. The impact shook the cavern but she didn’t notice, how could she. She had the fate of everyone on Equis to worry about!

“Huh, so you betrayed us. Well your still just a half breed, and I am a deadly sin!” Wrath said preparing to unleash his well, wrath.

In one hand he materialized a massive sword, he slammed the other into the floor causing the same affect a before. This time she was ready, flying up to avoid it, only to be slammed into it by Wrath’s sword. “You are still weak!” Wrath taunted.

Rainbow Dash took this moment to blast him with fire and lightning, to no avail. “Pathetic, to think that there are things as weak as you alive!”

Wrath brought his sword down when something took over Rainbow Dash, and in a feat of herculean strength she caught the massive blade in her mouth, and ripped it out of Wrath’s hand. “I shall fear no evil, and bow to no demon!” She growled through her mouth. She plunged the sword into Wrath’s chest and sealed his fate.

On the surface the demon’s felt their master dying and broke down sobbing.

The humans used this time to slay the sobbing beasts.

Rainbow Dash decided to speed up his fate by kicking the sword.

In his last moments Wrath seethed out one final word. “Seraph…”

As he said that word a light shone on Rainbow Dash, she looked up seeing that there was a hole in the roof of the cavern and a hole in the cloud cover.

As she stared into the light, it changed her. The flames extinguished, her eyes returned to their normal shade, her horns shrunk and their colour changed to cyan apposed to black, finally the black bulging veins disappeared. Most astonishing of all was her wings, the leathery surface peeled away reveling white feathers. She flew up and towards the open sky.

Pierre was confused, the three behemoths he had taken on alone had just stopped and had begun weeping, and then he stared in horror as they ripped their own hearts out.

Rainbow Dash arrived at the safe zone in record time, apparently these new wings where better. She spotted Montgomery and walked over to him smiling from ear to ear. “Hay Father, how do I look?” She asked.

“Oh! Oh my, you look like an angel.” The startled priest said.

“Yeah, yeah, do you know where Twi is?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Oh over there with what’s her name, Fluttershy!” he answered.

Rainbow Dash rushed over to the newly landed Judgment Class landing craft titled Thunder. She saw her two friends gathered by the loading bay. “Hey Fluttershy what are you doing home so soon, isn’t your tour done in a month?” She asked.

“Oh, um, well I heard that there was an attack here so I ordered my fleet back here after we secured the new Somalia system.

“Wait, fleet, ordered, what?” Twilight asked staring at Fluttershy as if she had grown a second head.

“Oh I got promoted to admiral, it’s a long story.” Fluttershy answered.

“Mind if I but in here, but may I borrow Rainbow Dash for a moment?” Father Montgomery asked.

“What is it?” Rainbow Dash asked after being taken aside.

“Well the scans of the Equis hell hole, match a unnatural formation we found on earth, it’s still small, but the point is the order has a ship coming to pick us up in roughly a month.” The priest explained.

“Sure, sounds good.” Rainbow Dash replied, nothing could break he good mood.

So you're coming to kill me then? Rainbow Dash’s jaw dropped.

I will up date this story with an epilog and links to the sort of spin off, and the eventual sequel.
