Three Wannabe Heroes
Nothing Can Stop The Smooze!
Previous ChapterNext ChapterA few months passed, and Trixie finished brewing the Witchweed potion in the secrecy of the dungeon storage room. It appeared to be a small amount, but Trixie assured Gilda and Blueblood that it would be enough for all three of them. Now all they had to do was wait for a day when Equestria would need saving. Fortunately for them, since they lived in Equestria, they didn’t have to wait too long.

“La la la la la la ,” sang Fluttershy as she fed her animals one beautiful and sunny morning. She was currently digging up some earthworms out of the ground to feed to the birds in the trees.
‘You know, it’s kind of ironic,’ thought Fluttershy to herself as she dug in the ground with her hoof. ‘If worms are animals too, then I’m hurting one animal to help another animal. Is that wrong?’
Her train of thought was interrupted, however, as suddenly her pet bunny, Angel, came running up to her. He stopped in front of Fluttershy and began waving his arms frantically.
“What is it, Angel?” Fluttershy asked. She could tell the white bunny was trying to tell her something important. “Is there a carrot stuck in your throat?”
The bunny shook his head.
“Are you sick?”
The bunny shook his head again.
“Did little Pipsqueak fall down the well again?”
Finally the bunny had had enough and grabbed Fluttershy’s head and pointed it towards the horizon. There, Fluttershy saw something vast and purple approaching over the horizon, with what appeared to be eyeballs all over it.
“Is it the giant sea of purple goo that’s getting ever closer?” asked Fluttershy.
Suddenly, Fluttershy felt something hit her in the head, and looked back at Angel to find that he had thrown a carrot at her.
“I’ll take that as a… yes.”

Meanwhile, in Canterlot, Trixie was in her apartment, brushing her teeth, when she glanced out the window and caught a glimpse of something purple and moving. She hurried over to the window and looked out. She dropped her toothbrush out of her magic aura at what she saw. A large, purple, eye covered blob moving over the landscape in the distance. It was heading straight towards Canterlot, and was about to completely cover Ponyville as well.
Trixie grinned to herself. “It’s time,” she thought. She ran back into the bathroom and spat the toothpaste out of her mouth. Then she hurried off to find Gilda and Blueblood.

Emergency sirens could be heard all over Canterlot as Princess Celestia stood on a balcony overlooking Canterlot. Beside her was her sister, Princess Luna, and her distant niece, Princess Cadence. They looked out in the distance at the giant purple mass approaching them.
Two hours had passed since they had become aware of this impending threat, and they had been very busy. Since Ponyville was obviously going to be the first town to be hit, it had been evacuated immediately. It had been close, but they had managed to get the small town evacuated in time, but the whole town of Ponyville had been covered by the purple ocean of goo.
Shining Armor and two other guards came trotting up to the princesses. “Your majesties, we’ve tried everything we could, but nothing can stop it!” stated Shining Armor. “Even my shield spell failed against it.”
Celestia nodded. “Thank you, Captain. Focus on the evacuation. Get all the civilian ponies out of the city.
“Yes, your majesty,” said Shining Armor. He nodded to the two guards behind him, and they ran off to fallow the orders.
Shining Armor walked up and nuzzled his wife, Princess Cadence.
“Are you alright, Cadence?” he asked.
“I’m fine, Shining,” she said. “Worry about the civilian ponies.”
Suddenly they all heard a familiar voice, and it brought a smile to all their faces.
“Princess Celestia!” Twilight Sparkle shouted as she and her five friends, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, as well as Spike the baby dragon on her back, came running over. “We came as fast as we could.”
“Thank you, Twilight,” said Celestia. “Thank you all.”
“Thank goodness you’re safe,” Shining Armor said to her, he and Cadence running up and nuzzling her.
“We’re all fine. Ponyville was completely evacuated in time,” the purple unicorn said.
“What is that horrible thing?” asked Rarity.
“And where in tarnation did it come from?” added Applejack.
Celestia held up her hoof. “I have no idea where it came from, but I do know that it is an ancient evil that once threatened Equestria many ages ago. It is called… The Smooze.”
The six mares and dragon from Ponyville all gasped. Then Pinkie Pie frowned in confusion.
“Smooze? That’s an odd name for a monster. It sounds like baby shampoo.”
Ignoring Pinkie’s comment, Luna spoke up. “You see, if we don’t stop the Smooze, it will eventually cover the entire world.”
“We don’t have long before the Smooze reaches Canterlot,” said Celestia. “Twilight, I need you and your friends to once again wield the Elements of Harmony. I believe they could be our only hope of stopping this monster.”
“Don’t worry, Princess,” said Twilight with confidence in her voice. “You can count on us.”
Celestia nodded. “Hurry, my little ponies. Time is short."
The six mares and the Princess of the Sun hurried off back into the castle to retrieve the Elements of Harmony from the vault, leaving Spike with the two other princesses and Shining Armor on the balcony.

Down in the dungeons of the castle, lit candles illuminated Trixie, Gilda, and Blueblood as they stood together in the secret storage room, which, over the weeks, they had cleaned up a bit and turned into a makeshift lab. Trixie levitated a small bottle filled with dark green liquid in between the three of them. She then carefully poured the contents of the bottle into three little cups.
“This is it!?” exclaimed Gilda in disappointment. “All that Witchweed we gathered, and we only got this much potion?!”
Trixie rolled her eyes and sighed in annoyance. “Relax,” she said. “It doesn’t take much of this potion to get great power. This, right here, is more than enough for all three of us… for now, anyway.”
Gilda snorted in skepticism as she took one of the cups, but didn’t say anything.
They all looked down at the green potion the were about to drink.
“Okay, lets all drink it at the same time,” said Trixie. “One… Two… Three.”
The three of them brought their cup to their mouths and drank the potion down.
The result was almost instantaneous. A magical aura surrounded each of their bodies and their eyes began to glow bright white as they were suddenly lifted into mid air. They could all feel a new, intense power flowing through them, the likes of which none of them could have ever imagined. And they liked it.
“I’ve never felt such power!” exclaimed Trixie in amazement.
“This feels great!” said Gilda. “I feel so powerful!”
“I feel like I can do anything!” cried Blueblood excitedly.
The aura around them faded, and they all descended back down to the floor. They blinked their eyes once, and the light glow faded, but they could all still feel the new power within them, rushing through their veins. They felt invincible. They felt ready to tackle anything.
Gilda grabbed one of the large old crates in the room and easily lifted it over her head with one talon, as if it was as light as a feather. She than through it at the stone wall of the store room, shattering the crate into splinters.
“Oh, yeah!” she exclaimed.
Trixie closed her eyes and her horn flared with magic. In an instant, she disappeared in a flash of light, and on the other side of the room, in another flash of light, she reappeared.
“I’ve always wanted to teleport!” she exclaimed excitedly. Trixie teleported again, and again, and again, all over the room, laughing joyfully as she enjoyed being able to finally do it. “I can’t believe how easy the magic comes now!”
Seeing Trixie doing it, Blueblood attempted to teleport as well. Just like Trixie, his horn glowed brightly, and in a flash of light, he teleported across the room as easily as Trixie had. He laughed.
“This is incredible!” he said, teleporting again to another part of the room.
Gilda destroyed another crate by smashing it with a swipe of one of her talons. Then she frowned. “Wait, you guys!” Trixie and Blueblood stopped using their magic and looked at her. “Aren’t we supposed to be doing something important?”
They all stood and though for a couple seconds, then they all shouted at the same time, “OH, RIGHT! WE HAVE TO SAVE EQUESTRIA!”
Gilda and Blueblood began to move towards the door, but Trixie spoke. “Wait!” she said. “Let’s teleport there. It will be faster.”
Gilda and Blueblood nodded in agreement. Gilda got close to Trixie, and Trixie and Blueblood both flared their horns, concentrating on where they wanted to be. Then, in a flash of light, the three of them teleported out of the room.
