Aperture Science GLaDOS ver. 1204
System rebooting...
100% complete.

GLaDOS' single round optic flashed on, glowing its signature bright yellow. The white and black femme groaned slightly as she attempted to move her aching form.

Finally, she gathered enough strength to sit up. She found herself on flat, rocky ground.

What happened? She thought to herself as her memory backups kicked in. The portal!

She glanced around frantically, noticing at first that she was on the same mountain that the portal was under, despite the fact that much of the mountain had crumbled into nothingness. More interestingly, the ground below the mountain, as well as the entire horizon, had also been restored.

It was the that she noticed her friends and allies sprawled across the mountain- or most of them, at least. Only her original team, plus the ponies and Legatron remained.

"Shiftech!" she exclaimed, rushing over to the larger robot, who was unconscious.

The sound of pained groans met her audio receptors. She looked behind her to see that, one by one, the ponies were awakening.

"Oh, so you all are still alive," she stated. "I guess that's a good thing..."

The equines ignored her sarcastic comment as they checked each other for injuries.

"C'mon, Shifty, wake up!" GLaDOS pleaded, more than a hint of concern in her voice. She recalled him being the closest one to the portal when it had exploded, and was afraid he might have taken serious damage or absorbed toxic energy.

The sounds of footsteps briefly drew her attention upwards, where she saw Nightmare Moon, Teridax and Dieseltron approaching, their faces portraying various degrees of concern. A glance downward revealed that Legatron was also approaching.

Finally, the bulky black robot began to stir. His optics glowed red before he sat upright. "Did it work?" he asked.

"Well, everythings back," Twilight noted, gazing at the the now-returned horizon. "But we're e only ones here!"

Shiftech considered this as he stood up, with some difficulty. "Interesting- they must have been teleported back to their home dimensions. Or possibly incinerated."

"WHAT?!" The ponies exclaimed.

Shiftech shrugged. "Well, they went through the portal, so they picked up some of its energy..."

“Noizemaze is still here, it that makes any difference,” Dieseltron pointed out, waving a hand towards the still-unconscious Herald of Unicron.

“Oh, bummer,” Shiftech pouted. “Well, in that case, everyone who was dropped here through a portal was probably sent back to their home universes.”

“How would that work?” Luna inquired.

“This Tesseract connects multiple points in time and space,” Shiftech explained. “So I was likely sending energy back in time to power the portal. However, when it was destroyed, it couldn’t send energy back in time, and had yet to send some of the energy that the portal used earlier, so it created a paradox where the portal could not have existed, thus reversing its effects.”

The Princesses, Twilight, Legatron, Teridax and GLaDOS nodded in understanding. Everyone else stared blankly, having not followed a word Shiftech had said.

Noticing these blank stares, Shiftech attempted to dumb down his explanation. "We cut off its power, so it put everything back where its supposed to go." This earned understanding nods.

"B-but we didn't get to say goodbye to any of our new friends!" Pinkie said, her mane deflating as tears formed in her eyes.

"Hey, if I come across any of them in my travels, I'll tell them you said bye," Legatron offered. The depress party pony perked up at this, her mane returning to its normal, puffy state.

The moment was suddenly interrupted by the sound of energy being charged.

"They're weakened!" Nightmare Moon exclaimed, energy collecting around her hands. "We should destroy them now!"

"In case you haven't noticed," Teridax started, moving his staff between Nightmare and the ponies, "We're not exactly in prime condition, either."

"The Makuta's right," Shiftech agreed. "Our odds aren't nearly as good as you think they are."

Nightmare considered this for a moment before harmlessly dispersing the energy around her servos. "This isn't over," she threatened.

"It is for now," Shiftech explained. "Now is where we go our separate ways. We will clean up the remains of the portal generator, then leave this universe when it stabilizes."

Celestia nodded. "On behalf of all of Equestria, I thank you for your help in saving our universe-"

"After they almost killed it," Rainbow Dash muttered so only her friends could hear... or so she thought.

Celestia continued. "- and I extend a warm heart of gratitude for-"

"Blah, blah, blah," Dieseltron interrupted, moving his claw-hand like a mocking mouth. "Let's just gather the scrap metal and get out of this stupid universe." With that, he walked away from the group.

"I agree," Teridax stated, turning to search for pieces of the portal generator.

"Good plan," GLaDOS agreed, moving to do the same.

"Soon," Nightmare promised before following her allies.

Shiftech studied the looks of shock on the ponies’ faces before chuckling and turning away. “I love this team,” he muttered to himself as he walked away.

Optimus righted himself in mid-air and activated his jetpack to slow his sudden fall. Fortunately, his flight tech hadn't been damaged in his second trip through the void, so he was spared a nasty fall that would have endangered his life.

He looked below him to see the familiar skyscrapers and busy roadways of 22nd century Detroit. Scanning the horizon, this was confirmed by the sight of Sumdac Tower in the distance.

Behind his faceplate, the Prime breathed a sigh of relief. He figured that the other universe-displaced interlopers had been returned to their universes as he had, though he was a bit saddened by the fact the he didn't get to say his goodbyes to them.

His comlink suddenly dinged. "Prime! Prime! Please tell me you're there!"

Optimus lifted a hand to the side of his head and clicked the receiver. "I'm here, Ratchet. Don't worry."

There was a sigh of relief from the other end. "Thank the AllSpark. What happened? We detected an energy surge, then you disappeared!"

"I fell through an inter-dimensional rip," the Prime explained. "I'll fill you all in on the details later. The second energy surge I'm assuming you just detected was the process being reversed."

"Well, good to have you back," the medi-bot said. "I'll let everyone know."

"Sounds good," Optimus replied. "And tell them to keep an optic out for Blastoff- I wasn't able to catch him."

"Will do, Prime. Will do."

With that, Optimus deactivated his comlink and rocketed off towards the Autobot headquarters.

Unbeknownst to Optimus, down below a yellow and purple mech hid in the darkness of an alleyway. He had seen the Prime's re-appearance, and the spectacular sight of Transwarp energy forming without a Space Bridge.

The Decepticon brought a skinny hand to the side of his head and clicked his comlink. "Dragstrip to Blastoff... I just saw something that you may find QUITE interesting..."

Dan screamed like a little girl as he found himself falling once again, this time surrounded by chunks of scorched metal that he figured used to be the plane he stole- before it caught fire and crashed into a mountain.

The thought of the mountain drew his mind back to the encounter he had just experienced. He figured that, after he destroyed the glowing blue cube thingy he’s been transported back to his homeworld. At least, he hoped so. That pony world was way too happy and colorful for his tastes. Then again, his destroying of the cube thing meant he would be a hero, so it might not have been all bad.

The sound of jet engines broke his thought process. A rope with a claw at the end suddenly wrapped around him and pulled him away from the falling parts of his former plane.

With a thud, he landed on something and heard a hatch close behind him. Looking around, he saw he was in some kind of high-tech jet looking thing manned by several people with enough shiny, reflective badges to give him a migraine.

One of the people he recognized. “Elise! Boy, am I glad to see you!” he said sincerely.

“Dan, what the heck happened?” Elise asked.

“You probably wouldn’t believe me if I told you,” the short man admitted.

“Well, we can talk about that later,” Elise continued. “In the meantime, we did some research... and you were right. That electric plant was ripping people off and using the money to build weapons.”

“Seriously?!” Dan exclaimed before pumping a fist into the air. “AW YEAH! I TOLD YOU!”

“BUT!” Elise interjected. “There’s still the issue of you stealing, and apparently destroying, that government plane.”

Dan scoffed. “Oh, please, you can’t do anything to me! I’m a hero! I saved a world full of ponies and robots from being destroyed by a giant blue portal!”

Elise and several of the other crewmembers stared at him in confusion. “What?”

Dan sighed. “Like I said, you'd never believe me.”

"Well, THAT was an adventure," XR stated blankly as he floated through space, propelled by his rocket pack. He came to the wrecked remains of the pirate's shuttle that had escaped in and examined it.

Buzz, Mira and Booster followed. Fortunately, their helmets had been activated when they were returned to their own universe, so that the vacuum of space did not negatively affect them.

"Any chance of getting this thing working again?" Mira asked.

XR extended a cord out of his right index finger and clicked it into an access port on the side of the ship. "Not unless we can get new engines, a new guidance system, new life support, new landing gear..."

"So, in other words, a new ship," Buzz deadpanned.

XR retracted the cord. "Pretty much."

"Oh man, this is bad!" Booster exclaimed, planting his hands on the side of his helmet in panic. "We're stuck here floating in alone in space with pirates on our tails! WE'RE GONNA DIEEEEE!"

"Uh, Booster?" Buzz interrupted his partner's panic attack. "Our suits still work, so we can just radio for help that way."

The large red alien chuckled awkwardly. "Oh. Right."

Ten minutes later, a small Fleet of Star Command Star Cruisers appeared, the lead one taking the wreck pirate cruiser and the four Space Rangers into its hull.

A slightly shorter Space Ranger with a white mustache and a purple peg replacing the lower half of his left leg approached.

Buzz and his team saluted. "Commander Nebula."

"Where in the heck have you yahoos been?" the commander growled.

"Well, first we got captured by insulting space pirates," XR started.

"Then we stole a shuttle and escaped," Mira continued.

"And then we got sucked through a wormhole and landed in a world populated by ponies, then we teamed up with some good and evil robots, and we closed all the portals and got sent back here!" Booster finished, talking at a rapid pace.

Commander Nebula stared at him with an expression that combined surprise, confusion and shock.

"I can validate that we were indeed sent to another universe," Buzz said.

"And other universes do exist!" XR pointed out. "Remember that weird one that Zurg opened up with the evil Buzz?"

After a moment of consideration, Nebula sighed. "This is going to be the strangest incident report of my career."

"You don't know the half of it," Buzz replied with a small smirk.

“Huh, what?” Robbie exclaimed as he found himself falling. “WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?!”

“We destroyed the portal, and I think it put us all back where we belong!” Dipper said, who was falling next to him.

“I don't belong falling through mid-air about to be killed!” Robbie shouted, clearly panicking.

Looking around, Dipper saw Mabel, Wendy and a very waterlogged van falling as well.

Meanwhile, Mable was making ridiculous bird calls, just as she was when they first found themselves falling off of a cliff.

"What are you doing?!" Dipper asked.

"I told you before, I'm trying to call that giant eagle I saw the other day!" Mabel exclaimed.

"That's the dumbest thing I ever-" Robbie started before a shrieking cry interrupted him.

A massive brown eagle, wingspan longer than that of the van, suddenly swooped down and caught Dipper and Wendy in one claw, and Mabel and Robbie in the other.

"Oh, great, now we're going to be eaten by a giant bird!" Robbie whined.

"Don't be silly, this is George!" Mabel said. I met him the other day and caught a mouse for him. Now he's my friend!"

"At this point, NOTHING surprises me," Dipper muttered.

After a few minutes of George soaring over Gravity Falls, he touched down at the Mystery shack, gently setting the four humans on the ground before flying away.

"Goodbye, George!" Mable said, waving to the massive bird as he flew away. She then sighed and looked at the ground, dejected.

"What's wrong, Mabel?" Wendy asked. "You just saved us!"

"I know, but I wanted to hang out with the ponies some more!" she explained.

"Well, who knows?" Dipper said. "Maybe there's another portal around Gravity Falls somewhere."

Mable chuckled. "Yeah, like Grunkle Stan has a portal generator in his basement or something."

The group laughed, even Robbie, who was more likely than not only laughing because Wendy was.

"Hey, does anyone else get the feeling we forgot something?" Dipper asked.

After a moment of thought, Robbie's eyes suddenly widened. "Oh crap, my van!" He looked in the direction of the mountain they had been on earlier. Barely visible was a plume of smoke rising up from the ground below where they had fallen off the cliff.

Mabel snickered. "I guess you could say it got a-VAN-doned! Ah? Ah? Get it?"

Dipper and Wendy only responded with exasperated groans, while Robbie was frantically running towards the source of the smoke. It would be awhile before he got there.

Location: Universal stream Equine 612.9 Iota- AKA ‘The Ponyverse’

A strange, soft whirring sound hummed through the street as a strange blue box literally phased into existence. Despite the strange sight, not a single one of the ponies walking by seemed to notice.

The door to the box opened, revealing a tan colored stallion with spiky brown hair. He was dressed in a blue suit with a red tie.

"Oh-kay!" he exclaimed to himself. "Bit of turbulence, weird energy, nothing out of the ordinary..." He reached a hoof into a pocket and withdrew a small, cylindrical device with a glowing blue tip. Waving it around, he frowned. "But the TARDIS landing only to find the energies never existed? That's relatively new..."

"Woah, how did you do that?!"

The stallion jumped a bit, the cylinder almost flying out of his hoof. Turning to his left, he say a bluish-gray pegasus mare with a blond mane staring at him. At least, he though she was staring at him. Her yellow eyes seemed to be skewed slightly, meaning she was looking in two directions at the same time.

"H-how did I do what, exactly?" the stallion asked.

"Make this giant box appear in the middle of the road!" she explained. "I mean, you're not a unicorn, so you couldn't have used magic..."

The tan pony's jaw dropped. "Wha-? How did you-? I had the Perception Filter set on maximum! There's no way you could have noticed the TARDIS materializing! Absolutely fascinating..." He leaned closer to her to examine her, causing her cheeks to redden slightly with embarrassment. "And you don't seem to be surprised in the slightest."

"I-it's been a weird day," the pegasus replied. "I mean, I helped a human escape Ponyville earlier, so-"

"Did you say human?!" the stallion exclaimed.

"Yeah, and he was a weird one," the mare continued. "Me and Lyra had to help him get to the train station."

"Could I speak with you and Lyra about this?" the stallion asked. "I'm kind of an investigator for these kinds of things..."

"Sure, here she is now!" the mare said. "Hey Lyra, this pony wants to ask you about Dan!"

"About who?" a mint-green unicorn replied.

"Y'know, Dan," the pegasus explained. "The scruffy human with the bad breath and the hands."
Lyra seemed to perk up slightly at the mention of the word 'hands', but other than that didn't react. "I'm sorry, Ditzy, but I really don't know what you're talking about," she said apologetically before walking towards a cream colored pony with a curly pink and blue mane.

"What? How could she not remember?" Ditzy asked dejectedly.

"It's OK," the stallion replied. "I think something has affected her memory, though it seems like she at least remembers what his hands were, strangely enough. But I still need to ask you some more about what happened."

Ditzy sighed. "Ok, mister- what was your name, again?"

"Call me the Doctor," the stallion replied.

"Doctor what?" Ditzy inquired.

"Nothing," he replied. "Just the Doctor."

"Ohhhhkaaayyy..." Ditzy said slowly. There was something really odd about this stallion and his magic blue box. "I'm Ditzy Do, but most ponies call me Derpy Hooves."

"Derpy Hooves," the Doctor chuckled. "I like it. Now, about that little encounter earlier..."

**********

The ponies and remaining small robot made their way back to Canterlot on hoof/stabilizing servo due to the fact that they now lacked any vehicles or portal devices, and they were too drained of energy to try teleporting.

To their surprise, they found that nopony remembered anything about their human prisoners or the lockdown the city had been in earlier. It seemed as though those events had been wiped from the day- probably as a result of the "chronal energy shunt" as Legatron put it. When the not as sharp ponies asked for a dumbed down explanation, he replied that time-travel related energy had deleted the events from the history of the day to anyone except those who had been near the portal when it had been destroyed.

Regardless, to celebrate their victory Celestia had arranged a small party for her equine subjects, much to Pinkie's approval. The party also included, Legatron, who had been able to contact his friends, but due to interference still could not be Transwarped out of the universe.

The princesses laughed as they watched the six ponies march in a conga line, laughing and singing along the way, until one of them tripped, sending them into a giggling heap. Even Legatron, who wasn’t much of a party-bot, chuckled at this.

“It seems like things are at last back to normal,” Luna stated.

“But that adventure only lasted one day!” Celestia chuckled as the other six ponies walked over to see what the Princesses were talking about.

“Well, it SEEMED to be a much greater length of time,” Luna retorted, earning laughs from all the ponies. When their laughter, died down they heard a strange swishing noise. Looking at Legatron, they saw the small mech waving his servo through Celestia’s ethereal flowing mane. Noticing the silence, he looked up and saw the ponies staring at him.

After a moment of awkward silence, he stated, “Hey, don’t tell me you’ve never been curious about this.”

To his relief, this caused another round of laughter from the ponies. As they resumed their chatting, he stole a glance out of one of the massive windows at the mountain where their battle had taken place, outlined by the setting sun that Celestia would fully lower in a matter of minutes. As he stared at the mountain, he knew that Shiftech and his allies had yet to leave, because universe travel out of this universe was not yet possible. He wondered what they were doing...

**********

If Legatron had make the trek back to the pother mountain, he would have his answer- the villains were still gathering up parts of their broken portal device, determined not to let even the slightest bit of their technology fall in the hooves of the miserable ponies that plagued this universe.

But their task was almost completed- they had gathered well over three fourths of the machine’s remaining parts, they calculated. When that was done, they could attempt to escape from this miserable universe.

Shiftech reached down to pick up a decent-sized shard of metal. As he did, he heard Dieseltron ask him, “So, do you think we’ll try anything like THIS ever again?”

Shiftech shrugged. “The Tesseract was a very specific and hard to finds power source. If we manage to find something else like it, maybe.”

GLaDOS’ voice then cried out. “Hey guys, you might want to take a look at this!”

After picking up the metal, Shiftech and Dieseltron walked over to where the white femme was crouched down. Teridax and Nightmare soon joined them

“What is is?” Nightmare asked, obviously annoyed but still a bit curious.

GLaDOS pinched something between her claw-like fingers and lifted it up. It was absolutely tiny, so the other robots head to lean in close to see it.

When they saw what it was, their optics widened in surprise. “A shard of the cube?!” Teridax exclaimed.

GLaDOS nodded. Had she possessed face, she would have been grinning audio receptor to audio receptor.

Shiftech laughed triumphantly as GLaDOS dropped the shard into his palm. He looked back over his shoulder and Galvatron, Noizemaze, Cyclonus and Scourge, who were tied up with dark energy bonds and still unconscious.

“What do you guys saw we keep this thing as our little secret?” the bulky black robot asked.

His allies nodded, grinning wickedly.

Shiftech reached around and dropped the shard into his subspace backpack. “Sounds like a plan...”

With that, the five robots went back to work, gathering up the remaining bits of metal. After all, they might need them for the second test...

THE END... FOR NOW...

Author's Note

Well, after WAAAY too long, I finally have this story finished! Pity it wasn't better received, though.

Now I can focus on ANOTHER pony/Transformer crossover I'm making... and I think you guys are gonna like this one...
