Hiding a rainbow

"Wow Rainbow. I knew ya were strong, but not tha strong." Applejack was amazed. All of them were.

"Oh sweetie, I didn't know." Soarin hugged the tear stained mare.

"It doesn't end there."

"Whatever do you mean, Rainbow?" Rarity inquired.

"After the death of my parents, me and my sister went into custody of my uncle, Solar Blare. And he...he." Rainbow burst into more tears.

Soarin held her closer while Fluttershy stroked Rainbow's mane.

"He abused me. As in he raped me."

Six gasps escaped the mouths of the others.

"For years it carried on. Fortunately, he'd only hit Daydream. Until one night, he got angry and stabbed her. I tried to buck him but he stabbed me here." She pointed at her wing. "Once I bucked him down I grabbed Dream and flew out, with the knife still in. But, by the time I got to the hospital, she was dead. She died in my hooves. I PROMISED I WOULD PROTECT HER, but I didnt." Rainbow let go of Soarin and flew off, still crying.

"Gosh." Was all Rarity and Fluttershy could say.

"Poor Dashie. Now she's all saddy-waddy."

"I'll follow her."

"No wait, Soarin. Give her some space." Twilight said.

"No. She needs me. She needs all of us." And he zoomed out.

"I know! A party will cheer her up!"

"No Pinkie. A party won't cheer her up this time." Implied Twilight.

"What?!..no...party...won't...cake...balloons...oatmeal, are you crazy??" Pinkie jibbered.

"Well done Twi. Ya done it. Ya ave broken Pinkie!" Applejack said while holding back the giggles.

"Girls! Look at this!" Rarity trotted in while hovering a newspaper.

"Solar Blare Escapes Canterlot Prison."

"Is there a pictures of him?" Asked Twilight.

Rarity flipped through the paper. "No."

"Poor Rainbow. But she'll be fine. She's a strong an-"

"NO SHE WON'T, APPLEJACK!"

Everyone stepped back at Fluttershy's sudden outburst.

"SHE NEVER TELLS ANYPONY ABOUT HER PAST! NOPONY! YOU KNOW WHAT, SHE TURNED SUICIDAL. YEP THAT'S RIGHT! SHE COULDN'T HANDLE THE DEATH OF EVERYPONY SHE CARED FOR!!"

"Wait you knew about this before us?" Twilight said, still shocked at Fluttershy's anger moment.

"Well...um...yes. But I didn't know to much about her uncle."

She automatically went back to 'shy' mode.
