I had been in Equestria for quite some time now and I must say... It’s been fun. I still have to deal with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon everyday so there are some downsides to it, but other than that everything is perfect. In the middle of class today Cheerilee received a letter from Twilight telling me to meet Jero at Fluttershy’s cottage after school. Still, the walk there is long and I usually tire myself out halfway there.

“Why does Fluttershy have to live SO far away?” I thought out loud... Still, it’s nice to have a friend I know from home here in Equestria. Someone who actually know my human side other than just my pony side.

“I hope my old boss enjoys the ‘gift’ I sent him...” Heh, a fruit bouquet... with a dead rat in the center, with a note in it’s mouth saying “I hope the smell stays here longer than I did, I quit.”. It was a douche move on my behalf... Heh... I feel nostalgic. I haven’t been back home in months, I hope everybody I know is well. I should go back and visit them soon...ish or whenever I feel like it, but at least I mastered levitation.

“Hey, blank flank, what are you doing here?” Oh come on! I really have to pass Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon at this time! I tried to keep walking and ignore them but they kept throwing insults my way so it was kind of hard to ignore. I kept walking, yet they followed me, now I’m getting angry...

“WHAT?” I shouted looking at the two “What could you need!” I started walking to them now “I am getting really annoyed with you both now either leave me be or I swear I’m going to make you pay for whatever time you’re making me waste!” I am not kidding, I will find a way to have them... I dunno beat up or something? Still, though I am going to tell them one more thing “I am not or will ever be one of the ponies you can bully and get away with it!” I got muzzle to muzzle with them “Keep it up and you’ll have to deal with an angry me, and trust me when I say I can be violent...”

I think that scared them, when I finished that sentence they looked at each other not knowing what to do. Diamond Tiara opened her mouth but stopped herself when I turned my gaze her way. They went of running... I continued making my way to Fluttershy’s, I love how she is scared of the Everfree yet she decides to live so close to it. I let out a small laugh, it’s kinda funny when you think about it

“Hmm, I wonder what Jero wants to show me.” I thought out loud as I continued trotting. I wonder, if I went back to earth still looking like a pony what people would freak out and if they would accept... well, a talking pony? If I’m right they would most likely take me to some crazy government facility and experiment on me, oh how much fun that would be! Anyway, while walking I felt something hit my muzzle and it didn't get any better when I looked up I saw a royal guard. Weird, he wore a purple armor... where have I seen this before?

“Aww crap, what did I do?” I thought out loud. I put my hooves behind my back “I know the drill...” I sighed, “I have the right to remain silent, anything I say can and will be held against me in the court of law” I hope I remember this correctly, “I have the right to attorney if I can not afford one one will be presented for me” The guard just lifted his eyebrow at me.

“Are you alright, kid?” He asked me letting out a laugh “I’m Shining Armor, big brother of Twilight Sparkle.” I stood up with a deadpanned expression, I knew I had recognized him but I couldn’t put my hoof on it. Well now I know why he looked familiar!

“Oh yeah! Twilight talks about you... a lot.” I said with a chuckle, “I’m Nova by the way.” I held my hoof out which he shook somehow... I am not going to question the how, but he did alright.Still though, he seems like a nice pony. I am sure he does not get anything like Twilight does or at least I hope not.

“So where are you headed kiddo?” Great, now Shining Armor is speaking to me like a child. Gee thanks. I love being sarcastic, still I kept a smile on and tried not to levitate him and throw him.

“I was just headed to Fluttershy’s cottage to meet my friend Jero up there,” I said as I tried to start trotting, only to be stopped I looked and noticed I was being levitated; I do not like where this is going, “What are you doing?”

“I am going to take you to Fluttershy’s.” Shining smiled at me as he placed me on his back. I am happy now, I do not have to walk anymore, I was running out of breath. He is pretty nice I will say.

“Thank you, Shining Armor.” I said and started going into deep thought. Thinking about what it would have been like if I choose not to come here and stayed at home would anything else happen? Would I move up the ladder? Would I still be in a cubicle? Or would I be in prison for killing my boss? Either way I wonder what would have happened if I stayed home.

We had finally arrived at Fluttershy’s house, I thanked Shining Armor for carrying me here. The whole walk here we shared stories. I told him about some of the things that happened while I had been here and Shining Armor told me some very embarrassing things about Twilight. I walked into Fluttershy’s house, seeing Jero putting a basket on the table, I cleared my throat to get his attention

“Hello Nova” Jero looked at a clock “Wow, you got here faster than I expected” I let out a laugh at this. He thinks I would be late, well I would have been if not for Shining Armor
“Dang Jero that is hurtful. You think the worst of me don’t you?” I puffed out my lower lip trying to give a pair of puppy dog eyes, I love screwing with Jero. His eyes widened in panic.

“N-no no I don’t think the worst of you” I am one evil little colt “Trust me, I just thought, you know, with the long path from the school it would take you a bit longer than normal.” At this point I was on the floor laughing. I love messing with people or ponies.

“Dang Jero, I was just kidding” I said in between laughs. Once again I am a evil little colt, still making ponies all panicky is mean, even for me. Especially when I mess with Fluttershy or Jero. That is wrong, but funny on so many levels. Its kinda sad I know, messing with your friends is mean and cruel but when you get a chance you HAVE to take it.

Jero was not amused by my antics but come on, if you were in my position being stuck in a crappy kindergarten class, I think you would have done the same thing. I need a way to entertain myself when I am not stuck in class or stuck with the crusaders but I must say they are all nice, annoying at times, but otherwise they are very well behaved and not annoying at all. I mean they are kids so of course they would be hyperactive at that age, but look at me I am not that hyper am I? No, I am not. I just enjoy screwing with my friends, but who doesn’t? Still though I gotta say Jero looks pissed.

“What is wrong with you!?” Oh crap, Jero is mad. You don’t want to make him angry, you would not like him when he is angry. I mean it, when he is mad you better run for the hills and not look back. Wait, what is he raising his hoof for? “Why would you do something like that?” Oh good he is calm. I thought he was going to strike me, I was a little scared, at that point I did flinch. I think that is what made him soften up a little. Still though, I am wondering what the point of the basket is for.

“Hey Jero what is the basket for?” I asked looking up at him, man that feels weird looking up at your friends. I don’t understand why I was turned into a five year old, but either way it is good most of the time.

“Well I thought we could just catch up a little with a lunch” Jero just smiled at me, grabbing the basket and trotting to the door. I don’t know why but I thought of a joke. “That and Twilight’s brother is over. So she asked me to keep an eye on you.” How could I have guessed? Well I guess the best person to foalsit me is somepony who knows me so well.

“Oh Jero I thought of something funny wanna hear?” I asked, Jero nodded “So now a pole is dating a tree” I burst out laughing at my own joke but come on that was funny. I love teasing him about that but still, I need to give him a break every once and a while but not too much.

The whole walk to the place that Jero wanted me to follow him to I could not stop thinking about both Ruby Pinch and Dinky. They are really nice fillies and well, I don’t know, they both have good qualities along with being really nice. I met both Berry Punch and Ditzy Doo, they were really nice to me. I was zoned out into my own little world, not paying attention to anything. Not even the blush growing on my face from thinking about them.

“You OK, Nova? You’ve been quiet the whole time we were walking. Also, why is your face all red?” Jero asked breaking the silence

“Huh? Oh yeah, I’m fine. Just thinking that’s all” Crap! Why do I keep thinking... Who cares!? I mean come on, if not for thinking you would not be hearing things. All these ponies can’t hear me say like this: Jero I threw that dead mouse at your car that one time......see he can’t hear me

“That was you!?”

“What was me?” I think he can hear me, well this sucks something fierce.

“Nova, I can’t hear your thoughts, you’re thinking out loud again.”

“Well yes, I did throw that dead mouse at your car.” This sucks, he can hear me. Well everypony just a heads up, you piss him off he goes Flutterrage on you so just a heads up.

Jero sighs “Well, why were you blushing anyway? Wait a sec.....that face you were making....”

I started panicking at this point. If he guesses it, I am screwed “What face? I was not making a face, what is with your face?!” Yeah that worked.

“That’s the same face I would make when I first started think about Flutter-....” Jero gasps and grins a little “Nova....do you have a crush on somepony?”

“No I do not! Why would you think that?” OH COME ON! heh that made me think of Sweetie Belle.

“I can tell when you are lying sometimes and that is SO a lie! You have a crush on a filly! Oh, that’s just cute and funny!”

“Jero, buddy, this needs to be said” I put my hoof on his leg “You are one of the most feminine males I have ever met” I laughed with my own grin.

“So says the guy that has to repeat kindergarten all over again”

“Yeah well you....dammit” I have no insults, Celestia help me

“Heh, looks like I win. Oh, wait until I tell Twilight about this.” My eyes just shot wide, if he told her my new reputation would be gone faster than... uhhhh I got nothing.

“Jero if you do it, I have a few things Fluttershy would just love to see.” I grinned even wider. “Maybe I could show her some of the pictures of her on the internet.”

“How would that work against me? I never looked at those pics nor did I make them.”

“I have ways and you know it. Like the time I put a dead rat on my boss’s desk.” Oh wait that was before I came here “”Never mind, you would not know about that.”

“Don’t even wanna know and it’s not gonna work. Also, don’t even try to tell her about the fic. During this last months I spent with her, I trusted her so much that I didn’t want anymore secrets between us so I told her about it.”

“Give me a break please” Time for the killer, I gave him the cutest pair of puppy dog eyes I learned from Sweetie Belle, the master of puppy dog eyes, that could kill a man from the sheer cuteness.

Jero closes his eyes as quickly as he could. “You’ve been learning from Sweetie, haven’t you?”

“Jero, give me a break on this one. Come on, please bro” I really hope that he keeps it a secret “Wait, when you turn human does your cutie mark stay?”

“Uh...random time to ask that, but yeah. Only it appears on my shoulder when I turn human. It can be easy covered with a short sleeved shirt though”

“So it looks like a tattoo” I got even happier “So wait, why do you work with foals?” good the subject has been changed

“Well, since I...wait a second, you’re not getting out of this that easily! I’ll make you a deal.” Oh goodie a deal, this should be hard for me to keep my end of it but if it is something like cooking, I can handle it

“Sure, what is it?”

“I won’t say a word for 2 things: One, you never call me pole, Fluttershy a tree, or Scootaloo a chicken again.”

“Hey, no promises on not calling Fluttershy a tree. She wants to be a tree, so I call her a tree and the whole Scootaloo thing, I have yet to call her that.” I am insulted! How dare he think that of me.

“I know you’ll do it sooner or later, so just in case.”

“Fine, deal. Just no talking about it” I really don’t like where this is going “But I have one thing to say.”

“Wait, let me just say my 2nd demand:....You have to tell me who you are crushing on.”

“When I figure that one out myself, I will tell you.” Now for the one thing I must say “cluck, cluck.” Am I messed up? You know it “Had to do it.”

Jero rolled his eyes “So, you have a crush on two fillies, but don’t know which to choose. Am I right?”

“Out of both Dinky and Ruby.” WAIT HOW DID HE GET ME TO DO THAT!? “How did you, oh screw it.”

Jero chuckled “Well, with me being in a relationship I’m more in touch with getting the hang of helping others with similar problems as well.”

“Yeah with me dating more I will not say the word I want to, in fear of you being larger than me.” Seriously he is huge compared to me. “So are we there yet? or is it another hour walk?” but if you were me you would not be able to walk as much. I know one thing though, I hate trying to use magic. A lot of the times my head starts to hurt, I don’t know why but it does.

“Don’t worry, we are here” Jero said as we both stopped. I sat on the ground, catching my breath. Jero had started to set everything up while I went into a deep thought. I was not paying attention to anything around me not even the fact that Jero was poking me to get my attention.

“Yeah, sorry just went into deep thought again.” I said with a cheesy grin, trying to cover for my screw up of zoning out. I can’t help it, sometimes I go into a deep thought thinking about well, anything. I mean its like, think about when you are in a math class. You zone out, wanting to be anywhere but there. I jumped on the blanket as Jero put the basket containing the food down, and trust me, food sounds good right about now.

After a good lunch, and catching up with Jero, we had arrived back at Fluttershy’s. Something about Twilight needing to talk to her brother alone. If she told me I would have understood easily but whatever. Jero and myself had caught up so I am happy. Turns out a lot has happened since we last saw each other, well I guess that is true Jero got to come to Equestria

before me, along with turning into a pony a while after, so it works out; in a way. I mean, I have made more friends than imaginable, but something was making my mane itch and I mean itch like crazy. So I did the only thing I could think of. I started scratching it. Oh man, with my bad luck and if they have lice in Equestria then most likely I have lice. Lets hope that is not the case.

“Nova, what are you doing?” Jero asked me. I stopped scratching my mane for a second and looked right up at him.
I bit my tongue, trying not to go crazy “Scratching my mane, thats what.” but man that itches, and almost burns at the same time. I tried to stop scratching again but alas, I could not stop.

“Are you sure you are alright?” Jero asked, I stopped scratching and nodded. I jumped on the couch smiling.

“So, what is up with Twilight needing to speak with her brother?” I asked, I can never get over at how high pitched my voice sounds. It is funny as I will get out, but I don’t care for it when Jero gives me crap about it. I think it is very annoying, but nothing I can’t deal with. I had to deal with worse when I really was a kid.

“I don’t know, but she said bring you home at around four or five.” Jero said with a smile. He is almost as cheery as Pinkie Pie. Who am I kidding? Nopony can be that cheery, Pinkie Pie is so happy, it scares me.

“Okay, now second, do they have tv’s here?” I am wanting to know more about my new home so pardon me if I ask a few things so I know I won’t get bored out of my skull, that and living with Twilight does not help. She throws random questions about crap, she has me study and sometimes at the worst of times, like one time I was making a peanut butter sandwich, and she comes right behind me and ask me a random question. Its lucky that knife did not cut me.

“No they don’t” Jero said. Well this sucks, they have all this advanced crap, like heart rate monitors, and all that other crap, yet no tv. Well this sucks. I can’t wait to get back to the library and, I dunno, do anything but study. Heck maybe talk to Shining Armor and ask if he has any tips and tricks on how to deal with Twilight.

Still, the one thing I can’t help but wonder is: What else happened on the royal wedding episode? I heard there was another alicorn, but I think that is just something by the fans. Hoping to see a new princess. But I doubt that would happen ever. Here is a deal, if that is true and there is a third alicorn, I will curse right in front of everypony. So if, and when, I see a new ‘princess’. I will do it, I don’t care what happens after I do it. I will, so try me. But the one thing I hate about being this young again is I get distracted REALLY easily. That is not too fun, it sucks, even more so when I zone out in class and Cheerilee calls me out to answer the question. I will say this, the whole bits system, I have yet to understand. I am sure it will come to me sooner or later maybe I can try and get some extra bits from Twilight when I ask her to explain it to me.

“Well that sucks, oh well I can find a way to entertain myself, I always do.” I laughed, thinking about some of my more fond memories. Some of them are not the best, but some of them are pretty good. “Also what time is it?” I looked at a clock, seeing it was four thirty. Man ten minutes ago I would have had a four twenty joke.

“It is four thirty” I saw Jero’s eyes wide. They looked like they were ready to pop out of his head. “Oh no, we have to go and now!” Jero than grabbed me, running out the door. I know we are headed back to Twilight’s house on run. But I don’t understand why Jero just doesn't fly, I will never know but when he realizes he is late for something, he takes off running. I could see the library in plain sight, it was a good ten second run from here.

“Jero, slow down or I am going to vomit.” I think it worked because he stopped running. “Thank you.” I jumped off his back, stretching my limbs, I heard a couple of pops. I then started trotting to the library with Jero close behind me, it is creepy but who cares. I got to the library, seeing my worst enemy, the door. I could not reach that knob if you payed me. I started channeling my magic

as I saw a pale purple aura going around the door knob, twisting it. After a little while, I had opened the door. I beamed as I trotted inside, when I got in there I saw a light pink alicorn laughing with Twilight and Shining Armor “What.The. Hell.”

I walked down stairs, after learning what soap taste like, and I will say this: It does not taste very good. I guess that nopony takes well to a five year old swearing. I still had some bubbles on my cheek from the soap, I did not notice it until I overheard a light pink alicorn giggling looking at me. I do not find it funny, I find it annoying

“Here, let me fix that” I never caught her name but she took a tissue and wiped my face off, even though I could do it on my own. It was not funny that I had my mouth washed out for saying a certain sentence, that I refuse to say again for fear of having my mouth washed out a second time.

“Thanks” I grumbled, a little annoyed at the fact I had my mouth washed out for one simple word. I am just going to have to watch what I do and say in fear of what else they might do to me. Well I guess now is as good as time as any to introduce myself, “Hello my name is Nova, nice to meet you” I held my hoof out.

The alicorn took my hoof, giggling as she shook it “My what a gentlecolt we have here” great, apparently nopony told her about the deal Celestia made with me “My name is Cadance, it is a pleasure to meet you Nova.”

“The feeling is mutual.” I said in a calm tone as Cadance released my hoof. Yet again, I started drifting off, I could not get Dinky or Ruby off my mind. They seem to stay there, taunting me. I can not date them though, it is just strange, I mean I am technically a grown man but I am in a childs body here so I guess I am a child. I for some reason have the attention span of one and a lot of other things.

Cadance let out a giggle as she looked over to Shining Armor “I think somepony in this room is in love” is it really that obvious.

“How do you know that?” I asked looking at Cadance

“Because I am the princess of love” Cadance said and my jaw dropped. I have a question I want to ask her but I can’t think of it for the life of me, sometimes I hate having the mind of a child. I am sure it will come to me “And I also rule the Crystal Kingdom”

Wait the what kingdom? This is a joke “Are you kidding? There is another kingdom?” I am shocked, I thought that the whole third alicorn thing was a fan rumor, along with the whole new kingdom thing but I guess it is not a rumor. Well I have not passed out yet so it is good “So, Princess Cadance, did Princess Celestia explain the deal she made with me to you?”

Cadance cocked an eyebrow at me “No, I don’t think Aunt Celestia told me about a deal” I groaned at this point, I figured that she would let her niece know.

“I did see Twilight leaving with this little tyke.” Shining Armor said as he ruffled my mane, I swear these ponies are killing me on the inside by doing stuff like that. I am not some little kid, well on the outside I am, but I am really an adult.

I heard Jero stifle a laugh, I glared at him “I am not a foal Cadance. I am an adult.” I saw both Shining Armor and Cadance laugh at me, for the love of Celestia!

“You're a big pony aren't you?” Seriously? Now a princess is speaking to me as if I truly was a child. I am going to die on the inside everyday until they stop doing that.

“Well I have to go and meet Fluttershy now” Jero said, as he walked out the door I suddenly got an idea.

“So Cadance and Shining Armor, you don’t believe me when I say I am an adult?” I asked they nodded.

“Nova what are you getting at?” Twilight asked, I grinned.

“Well so you will believe me let me tell you a story” I grinned.

After a few hours of talking, getting to know Cadance and Shining Armor, they had taken their leave so Twilight opened a book, Spike went to spend the night with Rarity and I went to take a bath, the whole time I could not believe that Cadance had invited both Twilight and myself to stay with her and Shining Armor at the Crystal Empire. I had finished my bath, after drying off and throwing my towel in the hamper, I went into the living room, which in was really just the main room of the library but it acts as a living room. I saw Twilight reading a book but I could not make it out, so I went in front of to see what book she was reading. It took me a second but I saw the name of the book that Twilight was reading it was ‘Parenting Foals For Dummies’

I decided to shake it off and grab a book of my own, I grabbed Daring Doo Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull I guess she is the female Equestria version of Indiana Jones. I opened the book and started reading, getting caught up in my own little world “Hmm this is interesting” I flipped the page and kept reading. When I get caught up in a book nothing can break my concentration, I kept my eyes on the book until I let out a small yawn. I shook my head to stay awake, I must know what happens at the end of this book. I kept reading until I let out another yawn “I must know what happens.” I said aloud only to find myself being lifted into the air. When I looked back I saw Twilight smiling at me “What are you doing?”

“You are sleepy and this book I am reading says when a foal is sleepy he, or she, should be put to bed immediately.” Twilight explained. As she tucked me in I let out another yawn.

“I am not tired” I protested as Twilight gave me a kiss on the head “The heck?”

“Well either way you need to be in bed, it is a school night after all” Twilight smiled before looking at her book again, I don’t like where this is going. “Good night Nova, mommy loves you.”

Now I am confused as to what is going on “Did that really just happen and did Twilight really just say that?” I think to myself before drifting off to sleep. But before anything I did not mean to say this but it slipped out “I love you too mommy.” I am never going to hear the end of that.

I woke up the next morning with a massive yawn. I did not feel like opening my eyes in fear of the dreaded sunlight on my eyes. I felt like I was hugging something and when I opened my eyes I saw Twilight’s old smarty pants doll. I don’t know how it even got in here unless it comes alive at night and for some reason it came in here...that is just crazy talk, even for me. Why am I still hugging this thing? I tossed the offending stuffed animal thing, I am not sure what it would be called but still, now it is on the floor.

I started trotting down stairs, I could hear Twilight talking to somepony, but I could not tell. I stood at the same spot I did last time. I could make out Rarity’s voice, why is it shocking that her voice is so easy to make out? She is a drama queen, still, what is Twilight telling her? I went down one more step so I could hear what they were saying.

Twilight let out a silent yet audible squeal of joy “And after I told him I love you, after he fell asleep he said ‘I love you too mommy’!” I heard Rarity let out a squeal “But an hour or two later I went to check on him and he was just shifting around, like he was not comfortable, so I dug up my old Smarty Pants doll and gave it to him, after that he seemed to calm down but I went to check on him a while later and he was hugging it. I just had to take a picture and I did.” Twilight did what now.

I heard Rarity take in a small inhale “Oh darling, I think it is quite marvelous that he thinks of you as his mother already” seriously I do not remember saying that, and she took a picture of me, that is just mean. How would she like it if I did the same to her? I decided now would be a good time to go and get breakfast. I walked into the kitchen, rubbing my eyes. I was not paying half a mind, but I was picked up in the air again, when I looked I saw Twilight, she pulled me into a hug, grinning ear to ear.

Twilight put me down still smiling “Good morning Nova, I hope you slept well.” I simply nodded but Twilight’s grin did not fade and I could tell it would not anytime soon. “Also there is no school today.”

I smiled back “That’s good” I let out one more yawn, I am still in the process of waking up “So am I free to do what I want today?” Twilight nodded “Good. Is it alright if I go out and get to see Ponyville on my own?” I want to get to see the whole town on my own with no adults.

Twilight let out a small giggle “Yes you may but I want you to go and make your bed.” Twilight poked my nose “And I will make you some breakfast” I huffed and went back upstairs to make my bed.

I had finished fixing my bed up, like Twilight had asked me, when I looked at the floor. Seeing the smarty pants doll I was hugging when I woke up. “Hmm should I leave it or put it up on my bed” I shrugged, I mean Twilight did give it to me when I was sleeping so I guess it won’t hurt to put it on my bed. Walking back downstairs I could hear Twilight saying something else so I decided to walk into the kitchen to get my food.

When I did get in the kitchen, I saw Twilight and only Twilight. I am guessing Rarity had to leave for something; I don’t know what but and I don’t care. But still Twilight is a bit giddy today “Twilight you are kinda creeping me out.” I am not joking she is just smiling at me like that.

Twilight patted me on the head “Sorry Nova, just that picture I got of you snuggling up to my old Smarty Pants doll was cute.” I hope she only made one copy of that “I also made waffles for breakfast.”

At the sound of food I jumped into my chair while Twilight levitated my plate in front of me. I did not even bother with a fork I just dug in.
