1,500 years ago from present day Equestria
The sudden burst to hospital startled most of the doctors and nurses, as they looked to the front door to see a tall unicorn stallion, the stallion had a long navy blue mane and tail, white coat, blue eyes, and a cutie mark of a transmutation circle. "DOCTOR'S I NEED YOU NOW!!" As one of the doctors came over to see what was wrong, he then realized who the stallion was. It was one of the most powerful unicorns in existence, and also the king of Equestria, North Star. As the doctor bowed and said that he was sorry for not recognizing him, North Star than put a magic aura around the doctor and lifted him up.
"This is no time to be bowing to me doctor, I need a room now!" As the doctor galloped to the desk where the secretary was at North Star had already began his gallop back to the castle. As he remembered he could teleport, he then found himself in his and his wife's chamber. In the middle of the room was princess Celestia, who was tired and couldn't properly stand because of how large her stomach was. When North Star reached his wife he felt liquid, as he ignored it knowing already what it was he put his wife on his back. "Hold on my love I will get you to the hospital."
As North Star broke into a gallop but still making sure his love wouldn't fall off. In the streets he was making sure he had a clear path to the hospital and made it to the hospital. As the doctors came up, they put Celestia on a stretcher and began to roll her to the room North Star had made sure the doctors get ready before he returned. As the doctors rolled Celestia to the room, North Star still galloping along with her. "It will be all right my queen we made it to the hospital" as the doctors made it the room and began to get ready, Celestia was howling in pain.
"All right men are you ready?" As the fellow doctors shook their heads they began the operation. As North Star stayed near his beloved making sure she knew he was right there holding her hooves, she felt reassured that she was safe. Once more as Celestia howled in pain the doctors were already making progress. For the doctors this was easy, but they couldn't say the same for their queen. After about five more minutes the howling stopped and was followed by crying. It was a soft gentle cry, as the doctors were handing over the source of the crying. In Celestia's hooves was a small colt with a white coat, navy blue mane and tail with a bit of celestia's own pink main around the edge, he also had a horn and a pair of wings.
"You did well my love." As North Star nuzzled his wife he then looked at the colt.
"Well, look at him a alicorn just like his mother. So then my dear what shall we name him." As Celestia began to think of what she would name her newborn son, Celestia already had thought about this, and went out of her train of thought.
"How does Arcane Majik sound?" At the sound of the name the newborn foal began to flap it's wings and gave a smile. As North Star held his child in his hooves he noticed how much he represented both his father and mother.
"Arcane Majik it is then, now then I will be back my love I'm going to talk to the doctors." As North Star handed back Arcane back to Celestia she noticed already he was sound asleep.
After an hour after Celestia gave birth to Arcane both Celestia and North Star were both holding their newborn. Until Arcane's head was unwrapped both of his parents just noticed that it was flowing with the celestial winds. "You know my dear North Star our little blessing should prove to be a fine ruler in the future." As time went on both of the rulers were standing on the balcony staring up at the stars with their newborn in their hooves, they noticed a new star shining brighter than ever other star. As the North Star and Celestia continued looking at the stars they didn't notice Luna come up from behind them.
"Hello Tia and North Star, so we heard today was thy birth of your son. We are sorry we couldn't be there for we had to rest but it would be nice if we could see our newborn nephew." As Celestia and North Star looked back at the lunar princess they both shook their heads. As Celestia walked up and carefully put Arcane in Luna's hooves she could already see what he looked like. The small colt couldn't help but giggle and smile as his aunt held him. When Luna put her muzzle near Arcane he put his hooves on the front of her muzzle *boop*. As both Luna and Arcane giggled, Celestia and North Star couldn't help but laugh as Luna to enjoyed her newborn nephew.
"Well, it seems you two get along just fine." Luna quickly stopped her giggle feast with Arcane and looked back at her older sister.
"Well, he's so adorable how could we not, he's already such a happy colt. Also we bet you noticed already he has quite the magic aura around him. It might be wise to have someone watch him with strong magic to watch him when all of us aren't can't watch him." Celestia and North Star both looked at each other and shook their heads.
"We already have that covered, North Star's apprentice, Dawn Breaker will be his foal sitter. Dawn already has pretty good amount of magic power in her and is good at binding spells that should keep any form of magic Arcane uses under control." As Luna's worries were ceased she continued to look down at her nephew and gave him back to Celestia.
"Well it's been a long day for you two, maybe you should go get some rest. As always we will watch the night so good night you two". At that Luna took off to continue her royal duties. Arcane was already fast asleep in between his parent's. Both Celestia and North Star looked into each other's eyes then gave a small kiss.
"Good night my lovely Celestia." As North Star watched to make sure Celestia was asleep to he finally felt the feeling of tiredness fall upon him and he began his time to sleep. Just one thought before North Star fell asleep was
"I will protect them no matter what." And with those final words he was asleep.
Present day Canterlout
As Celestia stood on the balcony of her royal chamber's staring into the night sky only memories could follow her train of thought. Luna who had just finished her royal duties came to check on her older sister, but when she arrived she saw what only looked like sadness in the solar princess's face. "Sister what is wrong?" Celestia finally took notice of her younger sister's presence and only gave a long sigh.
"Well, Luna look up and tell me what it reminds you of." As the lunar princess looked up she only saw the clear sky, and the stars. But then she noticed what Celestia was talking about. Her late husband North Star, one of the greatest stallion's Luna had ever known.
"You know he saved us all, but still I do miss him to. Have you heard anything from him recently?" Luna was being careful not to make sure she made her sister anymore upset but she could tell Celestia knew who she was talking about.
"No Luna I haven't heard anything from my son in a long time. Ever since that faithful night he never was the same. Remember he went out on his journey, saying he wouldn't take his place at the thrown till he became one with all. still I do wish I could contact him, but I have no reason to worry about his safety. Arcane is a strong stallion who wouldn't be taken down easily." Luna felt sorry for Celestia, not being able to talk to her son. It's almost like Arcane doesn't want to talk with them, but Celestia and Luna know fully well that he would never do that.
"Luna I believe its time we told some pony about this." With that Luna's head shot upwards and looking at her sister.
"But who? You know fully well Arcane said not to mention him until he came back. But I do understand why you want to tell some pony." Celestia gave the ruler of the night a long stare until she softened her expression.
"I believe we should tell Twilight along with her friends." Luna agreed that if anyone should know it would be the elements of harmony. So Luna went along with Celestia's request and nodded her head.
Ponyville library 10:00 A.M.
Twilight for a while was relaxed and well rested. She didn't need to save Ponyville from some random disaster, she had already studied for a while so she was taking a break from that, there was no list to be made. Today was a time for relaxing and apparently so was all of her other friends. Spike had just gotten up and was prepared to make Twilight and him a late breakfast but then his stomach rumbled loudly and he let out a loud belch. Then in front of him was a letter from princess Celestia, Twilight levitated the scroll over to her and read the letter out loud. "Dear Twilight, today I would like a chance to speak to you and your friends about something important. Please come as soon as you can, From princess Celestia. Spike pack the bags looks like somethings come up. I'm going to go get the girls so I will be back soon.
As Twilight gathered her friends they began to trot back to the library when spike came out the door with a saddlebag prepared. "Thanks Spike, I will see you later. Also for being a good sport you will get a nice emerald later." With that Spike said his bye's to Twilight and the others.
Canterlout royal throne room 2:30 P.M
As Twilight, AppleJack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Fluttershy approached the throne room, Celestia and Luna were both waiting patiently. "Ah Twilight my faithful student. How are you today?" Twilight was a bit dumbfounded by the sudden question. Wasn't Celestia supposed to be telling us something important?
"I'm doing well princess. But what was the important matter you wanted to talk to us about?" Just like Twilight thought Celestia. Once she's focused on something she will stop at nothing to find out what's going on.
"You have no need to worry Twilight. But the important matter is something Luna and I have kept for a long time."
"All right then, I think were ready to here this. Aren't we girls?" As Twilight looked back at her friends they all nodded in agreement.
"Twilight you're a smart mare, tell me why we celebrate the Night of the Falling Stars? Twilight knew this one for sure, the Night of the Falling Stars was an honorable day. For one of the greatest and most powerful unicorns of all time, North Star the Grand and his apprentice Dawn Breaker the Flamer gave their lives to protect Equestria.
"it's to honor North Star the Grand and Dawn Breaker the Flamer. But why do you ask princess?" Celestia knew that the origins of North Star and her were lost long ago. Celestia didn't want to bring him back because he already had a night dedicated to him.
"Because Twilight, North Star is my late husband." At that all the mare's gasped. Twilight was on verge of going crazy, how could she have never heard of this? Why isn't there anything about him and Celestia in the books? Their were to many questions to be asked, and once Twilight returned from her world of endless question's she look back at Celestia who Luna was comforting.
"Princess? Why hasn't this been mentioned before, until now?" Celestia was done pouting and continued.
"Because Twilight, that part about him was lost long ago. As to where I was there's one more piece of information that I need to tell you all." Rainbow Dash was busy trying to put together what she just heard. North Star the coolest unicorn of all besides Twilight was the husband of Celestia, just how cool could one unicorn get?
"North Star and I, we have a foal." Once again all the mare's gasped besides Luna who was staying close to Celestia for reinsurance. Just how much is not in the books Twilight thought. North Star and Celestia has a foal, Rainbow thought just how awesome would that foal be. I have my bits that the foal of North Star and Celestia is a handsome stallion, the son of Celestia he would be magnificent, Rarity thought. Pinkie, Fluttershy, and AppleJack were busy with their own thoughts about this to tell so once again they had to stop themselves to let Celestia finish.
"I know this is a lot to take in. The name of our foal is a stallion named, Arcane Majik. He has been gone from Equestria for a long time, ever since the Night of the Falling Stars he was already a full grown stallion by then but he went on his own journey, to become one with all."
"That meaning my little pony's I went on journey to become each race." Said a soothing, elegant voice. Everyone in the room were searching for the sound of the voice and when they looked back a tall hooded figure with a cloak that covered his entire body, stood next to the throne.
"Now then let me properly introduce myself." Said the hooded figure, as he got closer he began to slowly remove the cloak. Everyone was stunned by the stallion in front of them. His elegant flowing navy blue mane with a bit of pink in it, his snow white coat shimmered in the sunlight his cutie mark was a magic symbol. As the mares looked at him more they realized he had a horn AND wings.
"Now then I am Arcane Majik, a pleasure to meet you elements of harmony." Celestia rushed over to the stallion and then put him in a spine breaking hug while tears ran down her cheeks. Luna also did the same thing as Celestia including the tears and, then Celestia finally had enough strength to talk.
"*sniff* Arcane *sniff* where have you *sniff* been?" As Arcane looked down at his mother crying on his shoulder along with his aunt on the other side doing the same thing. All he could do was hug back. "I've been away, mother I went on a quest, I became one with every race. Started over and was reborn that race. Now then let me give you time and I will tell you more." Both princess's shook their head as began to sob on the shoulders of the returned prince.
A/N: I will be making a prequel to Arcane's quest later. But for now I will let you know I will be busy and have little time to work on this story from time to time.
