Night fell over the land of Equestria. As the Final rays of light disappeared from view, the ground tore itself asunder, until it formed an abyss. From the depths of the abyss, a figure rose. The abyss closed below him and he laughed. A dark laugh, one colder than ice and sharper than a blade made of diamond. The figure shook of the dirt that clung to his body to reveal his true colors. He was White as new fallen snow, with scars on his body and face, while his mane, tail and wings were colored black and silver. His deep red eyes swept over his surrondings, taking in what they could, while he listened with his blazing ears. Slowly, he began to smile and laugh. No longer was he trapped in the abyss. No, he was in the very land he had been born in, Equestria. Laughing once more, he realized that he truely was free from his prison, free to take his vengance upon those that had imprisoned him. But suddenly, his laugh dies in his throat. Everypony he had ever known was gone. He was alone in a new Equestria. He suddenly found himself wishing for a companion. Sitting down on the grass, he whispers, "I'm alone....truely alone. No sane mare will be willing to so much as look at me now. Not with the scars on my body and face." Crimson tears roll down his muzzle. He truely was an outcast now.

It wasn't long before he stopped crying. Wiping the tears of blood from his eyes, he laughed at himself. What a fool he was, even after all this time. He had forgotten himself. He was Bloody Star, Prince of Equestria. Long ago, Mares would throw themselves at him. They would line the streets just to see him walking. They would beg for his attentions and for a single look from him. Even now, with the scars and his flaming ears, he must surely garner just as much attention, if not more. Standing, Bloody Star shook the fatigue from his limbs and started walking.

Walking had always helped him relax in the past, and it still helped him now. Soon, he was calmed by the simple sounds of the night. They helped him to forget, for a time, his memories of the abyss. He started truely smile, then. Knowing he was free, Star thought about how he would procced. He began to plan after thinking everything through, and the plan made him smile wickedly. He knew what he would do. He forced his smile to change to a more warm and welcoming one as he heard the sounds of a nearby town. Perhaps he could find a place to stay there. He slowly made his way towards the sound, only to arrive on an farm. His vision flickered as a tangerine colored mare, a little yellow filly, and a large red stallion started to run towards him. The last thing he saw and heard was the mare asking him if he was lost.
