In the blink of an eye, probably even faster, the bros were transported back to their world, more specifically, the living room. Mark looked around and got giddy

“Yes! we did it! we’re home!” he cheered. The bros looked at each other and saw they were all normal again. Skips also looked around, examining the house, then himself. He’d changed into a human, very tall and buff with straight white hair.

“So this is the right world?” he asked. TJ nodded then walked over to the fridge and grabbed a soda, cracked it open. then chugged it in a matter of seconds.

“Man, i’m thirsty,” he said, chuckling a little. Ian ran over to the door that lead to the basement. He peered into the stairway, into the complete blackness.

“We’ve still got a big problem, you guys. Remember Benji?”

“Right,” Zach said. Skips skipped over to Ian.

“He made that thing in the basement?” Skips asked.

“Yeah,” Ian replied, “i didn’t know he was that smart.” The bros all headed down to the basement. The computer was broken beyond repair, the lab table knocked over and the ground was littered in broken glass. TJ walked over to the teleporter. It looke like something out of a science fiction movie. It was shaped like a U, pointed at the top and made out of several pieces of welded metal.

Thick electrical cords ran along the floor, all of them connected to either the computer or the medium sized generator in the corner of the basement. They were still live as sparks flew out every so often. The continued to explore the basement, finding medical equipment, videotapes, corpses of the monsters the bros had fought and killed. Zach stumbled across a composition book marked “LOG 1”. He opened it and saw that the entire book was full of notes, calculations, experiment results, and pictures of failed attempts at trying to construct Oolatoocs.

“Guys, come here and look at this,” Zach said. He pulled out a big cardboard box from under a desk, it was full of composition books, each marked with the word “LOG” and an increasing number. Ian poked around the computer area, staying away from the live wires and found another composition book.

TJ and Marc looked through the logs. They were beginning to discover that Benji wasn’t just a genius, he was completely mad.

“Guys, i found a book,” Ian said. Skips went over and took the book from Ian.

“LOG 58,” he said under his breath. He opened up the book and flipped through the pages. It was only about half full, the final ten pages containing the notes about the current Oolatoocs. Skips found plans for the dimensional portal in the book as well, the pages were full of complex calculations that only Benji could read.

“This is insane,” TJ said, “he’s been doing this for a long time.” The bros looked at his computer.

“Maybe there’s something on his computer, more logs perhaps,” Zach suggested. He walked over and picked up the shattered desktop. He pressed the power button and hoped that it turned on. The cracked screen lit up and Benji’s desktop was readily available.

“Guys, it works!” Zach exclaimed. He picked up the keyboard and mouse but found that the mouses cord had been severed. “Great,” he said, holding up the end of the fraid wire. He dropped the broken mouse on the keyboard, causing some buttons to clack.

“We can still salvage the hard drive,” TJ said, suggesting that all hope wasn’t lost.

“Well it doesn’t matter now,” Ian stated, “Benji’s in another dimension. We’ll never be able to catch him.” Everyone knew Ian was right, but TJ refused to accept defeat.

“No, we’ll find a way to get him,” TJ said said, trying to sound convincing. No one else bought his false enthusiasm. He sat down and put his head on his arms, trying to think of something, some way to fix the problem.

Then, the air turned into a gust of wind, which caught everyone’s attention.

“I think the air conditioning is picking up,” Zach said. TJ stood up and looked at him.

“There’s no vents in the basement.” Zach looked up as the wind got even faster, causing loose paper to fly around the basement.

“Then what the hell’s making this wind?” Zach asked. The wind was coming from nowhere, out of thin air. Then, a sound rang in. A coarse, creaking sound, a sound TJ had heard many times before, but couldn’t believe was happening. The sound picked up, getting louder and louder. A light appeared in front of the basement stairwell, pulsing on and off. Then the blue box slowly materialized, going from opaque to solid navy blue. The light became solid and the words “Police Public Call Box” glowed brightly in the dark basement.

“What is that thing?” Ian asked. TJ turned to him and gave him a look like he should have known the answer.

“It’s...” Marc stuttered out

“The TARDIS!” TJ said this a cheer. “The TARDIS! Here, in our house!”

“What the hell is a TARDIS?” Ian asked. TJ walked over to the police box.

“Let the Doctor explain,” TJ said with a big smile.

“What Doctor?” Ian asked again. The right door to the TARDIS opened inwards and a man in a blue suit stepped out. He squinted and looked around the room, then noticed the bros.

“Ah, hello. I got a signal from here, am I in the right place?” he asked. TJ stood there dumbstruck. The TARDIS has picked up the signal of the dimensional teleporter being used and drew the Doctor to the house.

“I think so... we do need help with something.” TJ said, trying to contain his giddiness that he was in the Doctor’s presence. The Doctor looked around and saw the teleporter and electrical equipment.

“Oh wow!” he exclaimed, running over to the teleporter, “haven’t seen one of these in ages. The design’s flawed, but it’s still very useful. Did you all build this?”

“No, it was someone else,” Ian said. The Doctor was in amazement that a human managed to construct a functional dimensional teleporter.

“And who are you?” Skips asked the Doctor as he moved his Sonic Screwdriver along the side of the teleporter frame. He turned and faced Skips.

“I’m the Doctor.”
