The Egg Shrine

The group dashed into the room to find Eggman, and Nightmare Moon waiting for them. "So, you managed to get here after all! I'm impressed! But unfortunately for you, the road ends here!" Eggman said. Classic and Modern Sonic sighed. "Haven't you learned already that we beat you every time?? Geez Eggman! Give it up already!" Classic Sonic exclaimed proudly. "Yeah! What my past self said! Not only is there two of me AGAIN, but now I've got Twilight and her friends to help me stop you as well! Right guys??" "RIGHT!" Classic and the girls answered. "Well then, lets change some rules here shall we??" Eggman said as he threw a switch. Suddenly, the girls except Scarletta were thrown into separate pods connected to a shrine-like structure on the back part of a two armed giant mech having a spherical body with a craggy mouth and visor-like 'eyes'! "Say hello to the Egg Shrine!!" Eggman said, introducing the giant robot. "RARITY!!" Knuckles exclaimed as Rarity, trapped in one of the pods, pounded against the strong glass and screamed. "You let them go Eggman!" Sonic ordered. "I can't do that Sonic! They still have a huge amount of energy in them! I can use that to power the cannon AND destroy you too!! So what will it be? It's either your friends…or the Chaos Emeralds!" Eggman explained. "Sonic….don't worry about us…use the emeralds…..we'll be alright….." Twilight said as she and the girls hung their heads defeatedly, willing to sacrifice themselves to save Equestria. "I…..I choose…….the emeralds!" Sonic said. "Very well! You just made a huge mistake!" Eggman said, getting positioned into the giant mech. "Let's do this!" Sonic exclaimed as the chaos emeralds began to glow. Sonic turned golden and his spikes stood up. He felt a huge surge of power rushing through his body and his heart. Sonic had turned Super Sonic! He turned back to find Classic Sonic had gone super as well! "I'm going to help you! We're doing this together!" Modern Sonic nodded. "Alright!" Both Sonics zoomed after Eggman's mech at a breakneck speed. Eggman threw a lever back and the Mech started backwards!

Back on Earth, Everypony and Princess Celestia watched worriedly as both Sonics found themselves in a game of chase. "C'mon Sonic! You can do it!" Celestia said to herself. Eggman flipped a switch turning on the pods' energy filters! Tails had an idea. "Sonic! Go for the girls' Pods! You might be able to free them!!" He shouted. "Roger that!" Sonic said as he turned his focus towards the pods! Suddenly, the mech opened its jaws and shot a huge beam of energy at the 2 Hedgehogs while inside the pods, Twilight and her friends were being drained of their energy AND life force! "WAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!" They screamed in pain and agony! Suddenly, Applejack's Pod was smashed open by Classic, causing her share of the energy connection to cut from the mech's power supply! "Mighty fine work there partner! Now get the others!" she exclaimed as she was lowered to the ground safely. "WHAT?!?!" Eggman noticed that both Sonics were targeting the girls! "WHY YOU!!" Suddenly the mech's right arm reached and grabbed Classic, starting to squeeze him! "ACK!" Modern Sonic suddenly rammed into the arm, releasing Classic from it's clutches! "Nice work!" Classic said and continued to chip away at the rest of the pods. Soon, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Twilight were all out! Everypony on Earth roared with applause as both Sonics had shut off the mech's power! "YOU LITTLE PEST! I still have enough energy to destroy you both!" Eggman slammed his fist down on a button and the mech's mouth opened again. A massive force of energy was fired and was in close range of the two! "SONIC!" Celestia exclaimed as two were engulfed in light! When the light faded, Sonic was shocked to see Twilight and her friends in front of them! "TWILIGHT?!" the group turned to face the two Sonics. Twilight's coat was pure gold while her friends all had white coats! Rainbow's mane seemed to move and sway as if it was made of fire, Rarity's mane seemed to sparkle and glisten in the light, The pigtails on the end of Applejack's mane were now sharp and spiky, Fluttershy's mane glowed a bright pink and Pinkie's mane was no longer poofy and wild but styled backwards, resembling that of Sonics! They had also sprouted WINGS and a HORN! The girls wore their Elemental Necklaces and crown. The girls had gone SUPER!! (Music: Reach for the stars-Sonic Colors) "WHOA! You girls look AWESOME!!" Modern Sonic exclaimed. "We're here to help you!" Twilight said. "You'll need more than just speed to beat eggman!" Rainbow added. "We can't let you take on that ruffian alone Darling!" Rarity commented. "You'll need all the help you can get partner!" Applejack exclaimed. "So we used the Chaos Emeralds to power up!" Pinkie added. "And now we came to assist you!" Fluttershy said. "Like you said, We're all in this together!" Twilight finished. Sonic nodded and smiled. "Thanks girls! You really are awesome friends! Now, Let's show that creep what happens when you mess with teamwork!" Everyone shared nods. "LET'S DO THIS!!!" they zoomed towards Eggman's mech.

Back on Earth, Princess Celestia watched with a smile as the Twilight and the girls joined Sonic in flight and fight! "Good luck girls. Show that man your TRUE potential!" she said. Scarletta meanwhile, found an escape pod back to Ponyville and got in, wanting to escape before anything else happened! Inside the mech's cockpit, Eggman stared in disbelief. "WHAT?! HOW CAN THIS BE?! Those ponies!? What?! HOW?!? BAH! Forget THAT! They're trying to stop me as well!" Eggman said as he continued to control the mech around, trying to fight off the supercharged beings! "Watch it girls! Stay alert! He's gonna be fast this time!" Twilight said. "RIGHT!" The girls answered, making sure to stay out of the mech's range. Suddenly Eggman had revealed a weak spot! The two Sonics saw their chance and rammed the area hard! Eggman was shook around as the hedgehogs struck! "Awesome job Sonics! The robot looks pretty weak!" Pinkie commented. "Right! Just one more shot oughta do it!" Classic added. "Oh no you don't!" Eggman said, flipping a switch. Suddenly, an electrical force field appeared, protecting the robot's weak and now fragil armor! Princess Celestia gasped. "Oh no! That shield look impenetrable…."She thought for a minute before reaching a consensus…The Elements of Harmony! 'Twilight, Girls! There's only one way to break that force field!' Celestia thought towards the girls. "The elements! Girls! Formation!" Twilight ordered as her friends positioned themselves! The elements began to glow! "Sonic!" the two looked back and smiled, understanding what was happening! "Right!" he exclaimed.

A bright flash appeared and the rainbow beam began to form!

The colors feel so right! I've never felt like this! I'll keep on running!

It swirled making its way up. It suddenly shot, Aiming at Eggman's mech!

Suddenly Classic and Modern Sonic bolted! With all their speed, they had became part of the multicolored beam!!

Just take my hand we're gonna reach for the stars….

When the light faded, Eggman's mech was nothing more than broken chunks of metal and wires… Eggman had vanished back to Sonic's dimension, and Nightmare moon…was no more. In her place, was the Royal sister and bringer of the night, Princess Luna.  Shadow and Silver had gone back to Sonic's dimension as well. For some reason, Knuckles had stayed behind… The two Sonics landed as they reverted back to their blue, spiky, normal selves. Princess Luna smiled, approaching the two. "Sonic and….other Sonic, you two have shown true courage, power, and speed! Thou have defeated Eggman, Restored us back to normal, and most importantly, thou showed true teamwork with your friends and saved Equestria AND the world from Eggman's evil plans! All of thou have restored peace and harmony to the kingdom. We thank thou!" she says bowing her head, smiling. "Well, a hedgehogs gotta do what a hedgehogs gotta do!" Modern Sonic says proudly, smiling. "It was no problem at all your highness! Just doing our job!" Classic Sonic adds. "I agree with the Princess on that! We did it! We saved Equestria and stopped Eggman!" Tails exclaimed. "I'll admit it Sonic. You weren't half bad!" Knuckles added as well. "THAT WAS AWESOME! YOU'RE THE BEST SONIC!!" Spike exclaimed. "Thanks guys!" Sonic said before noticing one thing was missing…. "Wait! Where are the girls??" He asked, looking around desperately. Luna notices them, motionless on the ground behind her! "Look!" she points out with her hoof. Knuckles goes slack jaw as he notices Rarity on the ground…lifeless… "RARITY!" he dashes over and the others follow. "Twilight!! Answer me!! Please!!" Spike exclaims, shaking her limp body. "Do you think they…." Tails asked, hoping it wasn't what he thought it was.. "I think when we impacted Eggman's robot…they somehow got hit as well…Probably a strong recoil caused by either the Chaos Emeralds….or Me and Sonic…" Modern Sonic said, attempting to explain. Spike was in tears. "PLEASE TWILIGHT! DON'T LEAVE US LIKE THIS!!" he cried. Knuckles teared up a bit. "Please….Don't die on me Rarity!" he uttered. Luna lowered her head in mourn… "WAIT! The Chaos Emeralds!" Classic Sonic exclaimed. "We might have a chance to bring them back!" he added. Both Sonics placed the Emeralds down, surrounding the girls. They started to give off a faint glow… Everyone closed their eyes and prayed.. The Emeralds began to rise off the ground along with the limp bodies of the girls. Suddenly, they were engulfed in a bright light, lasting for a few minutes. As the light faded, the emeralds slowly sunk back down to the floor along with the ponies. They didn't move….or breathe…. Everyone opened there eyes to see nothing had changed…. "Guess that's it…" Modern Sonic sadly said... Spike fell to the ground next to Twilight in tears. Knuckles sighed. "C,mon guys…our job here….is done." Tails said as he turned to leave. Everyone followed.

As Modern Sonic turned back one last time, he saw Twilight's ear twitch! They were alive! "WAIT! I think I saw something!" He rushed back to the girls along with everyone else as Twilight and the girls opened their eyes and got to their hooves! "TWILIGHT!! YOU'RE OK!!!" Spike exclaimed tearing up with joy as he glomped Twilight. The purple unicorn smiled then turned to Sonic and the group. "Thank you Sonic. You saved our lives." Sonic smiled and gave a thumbs-up. Knuckles hugged Rarity tightly. "Glad your ok, my beauty." He blushed as Rarity giggled. "Why thank you darling! I appreciate your feelings towards me…but I'm afraid…It's just not going to work out…Sorry to disappoint you darling…" she smiled yet felt guilty for upsetting Knux. "Oh….well I guess that's ok…Can we still be friends?" He asked. "Absolutely Darling! Of course we can be friends!" she smiled and gave Knuckles a kiss on the cheek hoping to cheer him up. It did! He fell to the floor, blushing a bright red! Spike had watched the whole thing. He giggled, remembering that the same thing had happened to him once! "We did it girls! We saved Equestria!" Sonic announced. The girls cheered. Pinkie Pie beamed as an idea hit her! "Only one thing to do now!!" she exclaimed.

Back on Earth, The group climbed out of a rocket that Tails had built. "LET'S PARTY!!!" Pinkie shouted as all of Ponyville cheered, happy that Sonic had saved them. "All right!" both Sonics exclaimed as they began their celebration, Ponyville style! Princess Celestia kicked it all off by raising the sun, beginning the daytime!  The two Sonics, Tails, and Knuckles helped themselves to the food and refreshments: Cupcakes, Apple Pies, Apples, and Punch! Sonic challenged Rainbow Dash to a rematch race. They finished this time and the results came out that the two had tied! They were both equal in speed!  Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles learned more about Equestria's history and culture. Rarity was kind enough to design some new shoes for Sonic! (I'll make a Vector of them later on for those who are curious) "Awesome! They fit perfectly! And I dig the style! Nice work there Rarity!" Sonic exclaimed after giving them a test run around the boutique. "It's no problem at all darling! Even though I had some trouble with the interior and what not. I'm very glad you liked them Sonic!" Classic Sonic had a envious look on his face. Rarity noticed this and rolled her eyes, smiling. "Ok younger Sonic! I'll make a pair for you too!" she said. Classic smiled. An hour later, Classic Sonic had his own pair as well! "Way past cool! You rock Rarity!" The white Unicorn giggled, blushing a bit.

Everyone was having an awesome time, unaware that back on the Death Egg, Discord was powering up, getting stronger, more powerful… "Enjoy your victory while you can Sonic! For it'll soon be your last!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!"
