It was a normal day in Equestria, every pony was busy. Well every pony except Luna who was sleeping instead of doing royal business. A knock at her bedroom door woke her up with a startle, also causing her to fall onto the floor. “Come in!” Luna yelled as she quickly got up and cantered to the middle of the room where a desk awaited her, and levitated a quill to look like she was working through the time she really spent playing. Suddenly Luna  in her head and started to see a wasteland from where she was, mysterious creatures walking around Canterlot, and a strange, frame-less anomaly in the center of Ponyville. “What?” said Luna, "This isn't happening... This can't be happening.". Suddenly one of the strange creatures notices Luna and pointed a strange object at her just  before suddenly regaining consciousness. She found Celestia trying to wake her up from her slumber on her desk. “” Celestia said, attempting to shake her from her sleep, “I saw... Equestria... it was destroyed!” said Luna. “Really? Luna I think you're just imagining things." Celestia said.

“No! I really saw it, Canterlot was filled with these strange creatures and Ponyville was destroyed!” Luna said, trying to explain what happened even though her sister wouldn't believe her.

“Look, how about you walk around for a bit, maybe you’ll probably forget about it after a while.” said Celestia. “Alright.” said Luna before her sister left the room.  I just hope it was just my imagination thought Luna as she left too.

Meanwhile in an unknown area, a military facility was hosting a party for the discovery of multiversal portal technology, which they planned to be using to travel to various universes to colonize them and sort out some overpopulation difficulties. Traveling to other universes was much more cost effective than interstellar, or even interplanetary travel. “I’m happy they figured out inter-dimensional tech, but do they have to wipe out whatever species lives in that universe just to colonize it?” Shaun quietly said to a friend who happened to join him.

"Well we don't know whether or not the species would try to stop us" the soldier replied

Suddenly an intercom turned on and a scientist grabbed a microphone from the Sargent. “Alright everyone! We're ready to turn the machine on. Brace yourselves...” The scientist said before flipping a series of switches causing a ring of blue lights build itself inside the machine before turning into a white cloudy sphere. “Everyone! We have successfully crossed into another dimension!” The scientist said enthusiastically. An applause scorched the building with sound. As all the soldiers fought over who went first, the eager fighters slowly, one by one, tumbled into the portal. Shaun hadn't planned to partake in the inter-dimensional fuss, however he decided that he wouldn't be able to see this again. He hadn't known that the portal had been restricted to military personnel, so he walked through to see what surprises lie behind, no one was able to tell him not to because they were all too busy trying to control the mess of soldiers trying to climb through to the other dimension.

Back in Ponyville, every pony in town gathered around a giant white sphere of clouds. Twilight Sparkle ran past everyone to get a closer look at the portal. “What in Equestria is going on here?” Twilight said before a strange humanoid figure stepped out of the portal, took a quick look at the mass of ponies. The figure put his fingers to his ear. “Hey Sarge, this is just a world filled with brightly colored horses!” The figure said before Rarity spoke from out the crowd of ponies. “Now who are you calling a horse! Horses aren't nearly as majestic and beautiful as a pony!” The figure made the same gesture again. “Talking horses...” he said. After a voice that no pony could make out spoke, the soldier equipped his rifle, and fires a shot at the white unicorn. Out of self defense Rarity grabbed the bullet with her magic before it hit her. She and the other Ponyville inhabitants ran from the vortex, scattering and panicking. “I knew this wouldn't be easy.” He sighed before he and a following stream of soldiers took it upon themselves to chase the ponies down.
