Abandoned

Fluttershy was tending to her animals at her cottage on the edge of the Everfree Forest. She just had to feed Angel Bunny, then she would be done. But as she was grabbing Angel's food from a high shelf, the ground started shaking, ever so slightly. She did not notice anything, until the shaking got more intense and a glass of water was shaking on her table.
She froze.
Fluttershy had remembered Twilight telling her about quakes, and how they rumble the ground, just like what was happening right now.
"Twilight said another quake wasn't supposed to happen for another 900 years!" Fluttershy said, frantically.
The rumbling had gotten so strong, it was now shaking her whole house. She thought the cottage would collapse right on top of her. Fluttershy was still frozen in place, standing on the ladder, reaching for Angel's food. A falling book that nearly struck her in the head snapped her out of her trance, and she leaped off the ladder, cracking the step she was on.
Fluttershy dove under a sturdy table, to ensure nothing fell on her. She was so scared. She could barely even move, let alone keep a regular breathing pattern. She feared that her animals might get hurt. Fluttershy had to get to them. She had to save them. Fluttershy reached out from under the table with one of her hooves, but a support beam from the roof had fallen and nearly crushed her foreleg. She shot for hoof back under the table, and shrieked like never before.
"EEEEEEEEK!!!" Fluttershy screamed.
Fluttershy had begun crying like no tomorrow, and now was pretty much blind. Through her tears, she saw a small white object frantically running around.
Angel.
"Angel! I'm over here!" Fluttershy called out.
From what Fluttershy could see, Angel had swung his head to where Fluttershy was, and was now running at her.
Fluttershy had opened her wing, motioning with her hoof for angel to hide under it. When Angel was curled up inside her wing, she closed it.
Fluttershy curled up into the smallest ball possible, while cradling little Angel Bunny.
They were both covered in each others tears, while shaking at insane speeds, hoping for it to be all over.
" Hey Twi, mind helping me with this?" Applejack asked.
" Hmm... This spell could come in handy whe- Oh, what was that? Sorry, I was just talking to myself." Twilight replied.
"Could you help me unload these apples into that cart? Fluttershy said she needed some for her animals." Applejack said.
"Oh, sure. Hopefully she didn't find another Parasprite." Twilight responded.
Twilight was helping Applejack around the farm, because Big Mac had hurt himself again, pulled a muscle while bucking a tree. Twilight used her magic to levitate the apples from the baskets into the cart. Applejack liked having Twilight help around the farm, her magic helped with many things. Also, they didn't actually talk that much, so that gave them a chance to.
"Why does Fluttershy need so many apples?" Twilight asked.
"She said something about some new kind of animals she was taking care of. I guess they have a thing for apples." Applejack answered.
Applejack hooked herself up to the shackle on the cart, they started off to Fluttershy's cottage.
They didn't talk much on the way to Fluttershy's house, mainly cause Twilight had her face in some kind magic book.
Applejack didn't know if she did anything else with her free time. Studying was all she ever saw her doing. Applejack knew it was all fine and dandy that she loved her studying, but she needed to get out more, and experience the real life.
About 15 Minutes Later...
Applejack's hooves started hurting, just as they were arriving at Fluttershy's cottage. Twilight was happily trotting with her nose still stuck in that book, while Applejack was face down, full of effort pulling the cart full of apples.
"We're.... Here....-" Applejack stopped dead in her tracks.
Twilight continued walking for a few feet, but stopped, and turned to Applejack.
"What's wrong-' Twilight stopped mid-sentence, looked where Applejack was, right at Fluttershy's cottage.
Well, what was left of it.
Fluttershy's cottage was destroyed.
Completely.
