Derpy has a tendency to…Well, derp. One day, she lets slip that she has a cool side-job, working with one of Equestria's smartest minds to fix things in the time stream. Under normal circumstances, this teeny mistake would have gone unnoticed. Most ponies would disregard it - who in their right mind would hire Derpy? Especially a scientist - while some others would just not care. Oh, but when you tell that sort of thing to three fillies trying to earn their cutie marks? Cutie Mark Crusaders scientists!


Out of curiosity, wouldn't 'cutie mark' be hyphenated? You know, since a 'cutie mark' is a singular object, wouldn't it be a singular 'cutie-mark'? I don't know, maybe I'm reading too much into that. Anyway, tell me how I did. It's an idea I've been kicking around in my brain for a few weeks, and only just got around to finding a way to write it. I tend to see myself as a fantasy/high-fantasy writer, so trying something a bit different is going to be both fun and enlightening. For me, at least.
