Ballad of Serenity
Why should I worry?
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI watched as the green smoke left through the window. It was too late to take back what had been written.
I then told the dragon that i was going out for a while to check everything.
He gave me a small nod, watching me leave. As i walked out, I noticed the slight chill in the air.
the way the leaves danced around in a ritualistic circle, Like a tribe round a fire. I simply carried on walking.
I didn't notice Pinkie standing , looking up into space talking nonchalantly. "-and another thing, why do you keep using that analogy about leaves?" I shrugged it off. there was always something with that mare. Continuing my walk, I notice the different stalls set up once again. I simply sat down on a bench and watched the world go by, sifting through the five years of memories.
has it really been five years? I thought to myself. shit, time does fly. something had hit me on the back of the head and bounced off. "Sorry 'bout that" came the deep southern voice.
"No harm done, Big Mac, your Kid's got one heck of an arm" I gave the red stallion a smile.
he threw the ball to his son as Applebloom made her way towards us.
She stood there looking at me for a brief moment. almost as if she was studying me. "So, how did it go with Scootaloo?"
Big mac then began to eye me up. It seemed apparent that he viewed the orange mare as a part of the Apple family.
I shot Applebloom a small smile. "nothing much happened, why, did she say anything to you?"
She shook her head. "When I asked, she clamped up, Blushed like a school filly and took off"
Big Mac looked at me for a moment, then began to chuckle. I looked at him for a moment, then joined in.
Applebloom looked at the two of us as if we were mad. the laughter died down. "ya'll didn't..." she made a certain hand gesture which caused Big Mac to look at in mild rage until he saw the glimpse of a frown etched onto my face.
"so, you accuse me of taking advantage of her, is that it?" I got up and walked off.
Applebloom looked to her brother who simply shrugged. "he done tol' me nuthin sis, he's a strange one"
"ah know... I better go apologize" as she made her way towards Crisis, Big mac grabbed her by the arm.
"It's best not, he was sat down here with a pensive look about him, must be something mighty troubling if ya'll ask me... give him time" the yellow mare nodded as she walked off in the opposite direction...
She headed towards Carousel boutique, in the hopes that Sweetie Belle Might know what's going on. before she got there, however, she heard a phrase which sounded more like a plea for help. she entered the shop and simply placed a hoof on a fashionable shoulder. "um, Rarity, have you seen Swe-"
"She's upstairs, with a very red Scootaloo, and last time I checked Sweetie was looking a little pink too" Applebloom raised an eyebrow but didn't really press on further.
She simply went upstairs and entered the bedroom. the room fell quiet until finally Sweetie Belle cracked. "SCOOTALOOSAWCRISISNAKED!" Scootaloo took the opportunity to bury herself further.
"wait when?"
"t-this morning" Scootaloo squeaked out, much unlike her usual self.
"Wait... You didn't, Did you?"
Scootaloo shook her head as she slowly crawled out of her little hidey hole.
"then what happened last night?"
she told her about what happened to grid iron and then.. "I just kissed him there and then... I just... It just felt right ya know?"
Sweetie Belle had not heard this part of the story. "he gave up the bed and slept on the floor... it was almost as if he was.... Protecting me or something" She started to look down.
"Well ah'll be damned, looks like the hardcore ain't so hardcore now, is she?" Applebloom said in jest.
"Bite me" Scootaloo replied.
"Hey, That's Cris's Job" Sweetie Belle giggled out.
the three young mares began to laugh soon after.
