As my jaw was slowly lifted off the ground by a slender orange hand, Scootaloo shot me a small smile.

"well.... this is... new" She chuckled nervously as i violently shook my head.

I simply took her hand in mine. "so where's the real scootaloo?" I chuckled.

"Or was she just hiding behind the tomboyishness?" I joked once again.

she dragged me into the party. I took note of the banner. welcome to ponyville, Bubblegum Crisis.

I stood still for a moment, taking in the welcome. It was at that point... I knew i really was home.

"thanks everyone" I took note of Spike, he stood in the corner simply chilling out. As i scanned the hall, I could just about see the entire town partying hard. It was great sight to see. considering I hadn't been to a good shindig in an age, It was perfect.

Then I heard the familiar sound of a bass drum. I looked over towards a simple stage.

shrugging my shoulders, I looked over to Scootaloo, she had a small blush on her face.

I noticed some thing "Hey, the rose is still there" I smiled. she nodded again.

she then squeaked out something and simply disappeared into the crowd.

I shrugged my shoulders and made my way towards the punch.

pouring out some punch, I took a swig. Unfortunately the punch didn't have the right kick to it. I looked over to Pinkie, then saw the bottle in her hands. she was coming this way with a cheeky grin plastered on her face. I watched as she poured out a cupful of the stuff. she passed me the bottle. taking a tentative sniff I discovered to my delight that it was vodka. Pinkie watched as i took a swig then dumped the rest into the punch. she blinked for a moment. "you beat me to the punch!" she giggled.

I simply put it down as Pinkie being Pinkie. I looked around once again, noting Scootaloo talking with her friends.

then it hit me. she looked... beautiful. little did I notice a certain fashionista following my gaze, hearing that sole word escape my mouth.

Rarity looked me up and over for a moment before smiling. "It is considered rude to keep a lady waiting, Crisis"

My train of thought had finally crashed into a nearby wall. "ah...um... you heard that?"

Rarity nodded. I took another swig of the now spiked punch. I watched as both Applebloom and Sweetie Belle were swept off their feet. In an instant, I stood in front of her. she saw the hand reaching to hers. she looked up to see me smile.

she took my hand as I pulled her towards me. There it was, the tell-tale signs of a blush on her cheeks.

then again, my cheeks were pretty red too. not just because of the alcohol in my system.

"may I have this-" I was cut off as she was wrenched away from me.

I then felt the fist connect with my stomach. Looking up, I saw an old face I thought long gone. "Grid Iron, What are you doing here?" I asked before I was met with a foot to the gut.

the party had become deadly quiet. every one began to watch the scene unfold. "You remember blackfort? the town that got leveled by the dragon?"

I tried to nod, but simply winced in pain.

"What the hay? dude, it wasn't his fault!" Scootaloo shouted at the heavily drunk stallion who was currently using his hooves to illustrate a point. "MY SISTER'S DEAD BECAUSE OF THIS MIS-MATCHED FREAK!"

I sat up slowly, attempting to get my breath back. "you're right, because she told me to save the children"

Grid Iron stopped. "The children? in the orphanage? but no-one would have missed them"

within moments, he was on the floor. Scootaloo then promptly fled out of the door.

I looked at Grid Iron for a moment. "you should be ashamed of yourself" I then picked him up and dragged him to the backdoor. "I'll be right back, taking out the trash, and then I'm going to find Scootaloo"
