my parents are dead

~Batman/ Bruce Wayne~

The sound of flesh hitting metal reverberated through the air, leaving a small satisfied smile on my face.

"now, Grid... stay put" I took off, running in the same direction as Scootaloo. As I ran it began to rain.

Anypony else would look for shelter. but not Scootaloo. sure enough, I found her, kneeling in front of gravestones.

I took my jacket off and draped it over her shoulders. She never said anything. She didn't need to.

I pulled her into a hug, the shirt I was wearing at the time was now wet through. My mane was now stuck along my nose.

she looked at me for a moment as I moved the lock of mane out of my face. "C'mon, lets get back to the party" She Looked at me, her eyes glistening with fresh tears. "okay, let's get you Home, yeah?" She simply nodded as I helped her up off the cold floor.

Soon enough, she put my long coat on properly, leaving me to drip water. I gave her a warm smile as she tried to avert her gaze. She wasn't really paying attention to where we were going. soon enough though. "uh.... Cris? my place is on the other side of town" I turned and smiled.

"well, Library's closer," I chuckled. "and I didn't state who's home we were going to" I stated with a wink.

I lifted the welcome mat and grabbed the keys, unlocking the door, letting the wet-maned.....

shake the thought, shake the thought, shake the thought

"Uhhh... I'll just go get some towels...." I quickly darted off leaving Scootaloo slightly confused.

She walked to a nearby mirror, giving herself a once over, noticing just how long her purple mane really was.

sensing it had an effect on the hero of this story, she simply gave a small sigh. "Colts..."

I was about to drop the towel on her head when she looked up, with a sad expression on her face.

I soon made my way down, and handed her a towel. "you want to talk about it?"

She shook her head. I simply walked in the kitchen and put the kettle on.

I surmised that twilight wouldn't mind too much if i raided the tea cupboard. walking in again, I could see Scoots huddled up, still looking a tad depressed. Kneeling down in front of her, I quickly tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "hey, want a cup of tea?" she nodded and let out a very quiet yes.

It was painful to see her like this, someone so full of life, brought to a quiet whisper.

"what would you like? we've blueberry, raspberry, ginseng, sleepy time, green tea, green tea with honey and lemon, green tea with lemon, liver to the stir, ginger with honey, ginger without honey, almond, white truffle, blueberry chamomile, vanilla walnut, constant comment, and earl grey....oh and jasmine n lavender.... and normal tea"

She then looked at me for a moment. "um....I'll have the Ginger with honey"

I gave her a small smile.

soon enough, the kettle began its little whistle, and I began to work my magic.

I strolled in with two mugs, then I set down the teapot full of tea. "so... Grid Iron... he your Coltfriend or..."

I trailed off as she shook her head. "So what was that about?" she looked at me for a moment as tears threatened to break through. "foster parent?" I surmised. she again nodded. I pulled her into a hug.

"well, how about you move in to my place, would you like that?"

I felt a tear hit my back as she nodded. as I let go of her she slunk back into the corner of the sofa. but then I could see the small tell-tale sign on a blush. I lifted a mug of tea from the table, taking a quick swig. savoring the flavor, I decided I'd stoke up on tea in my new place. Placing the mug back down, I looked over to the orange mare. her mood had considerably improved since my little invitation and intervention. but it looked as though a new problem had arisen for her.

how ever, this problem was soon easily solved when she pounced on me. our lips met... and the tea grew cold.
