Chapter Seven: Going the Distrance

Note: This is where the "Gore" part comes in. This should, if I've planned this correctly, be the only gory chapter. This is not a vital part of the continuity of the story, so you can skip it if you want.

It was dark.

He felt the cool grass brushing his fetlocks as he trotted languidly through the meadow, his saffron hooves taking him ever closer to the dark demarcation between the town and the forest. Dark green eyes turned back, slowly, the world passing by in fits and starts as he focused his eyes on the moon briefly. The faint outline of a mare's head stared down impassively at the orange pegasus for a moment before he turned back. Opening his wings, he leaped into the air, flapping gently as he rose up and above the treeline.

He banked swiftly to his right, following the path of the moonlight on the trees. The forest stretched out before him, endless, nothing but a sea of dark green. Gentle rustles of leaves through the wind reached his ears, causing them to flick as he began a wheeling descent through the unnaturally chilly air.

The treeline broke and accepted him in, pooling out like dark water as he slowly descended to the clearing ahead. He landed with all four hooves on the ground, wings closing gracefully as he cantered lazily through the dark grass. Scarlet hair ruffled in the breeze as he slowed, coming closer to the thick ribbon of river that wound through the meadow before disappearing again between the twisted roots of the ancient trees.

His hooves sank deeply into the soft earth on the bank as his eyes followed the dance of moonlight on the surface of the water. Thirsty, he dipped his head and drank deeply of the shockingly cold water, submerging his entire muzzle. He noticed with a detached interest that his glasses slid away, pulled along the slipstream as they fell to the bottom.

Oddly, he could still see fine.

Just as he lost sight of his glasses, a disturbance began in the water. Rings of water spread out from a central point as something large and obscenely pink broke the surface, rising swiftly and almost elegantly to tower above the small pegasus stallion. Beady black eyes opened, one behind a meticulously balanced monocle. Two thick membranous wings arched from the middle of it's body, and a long horn spiraled from its head, behind which a well buffed top hat sat. A bizarre black pinstriped vest was strapped somehow around its slippery midsection, two small pockets stitched in.

They regarded each other silently for a moment, the only sounds the rushing water

The worm's horn glowed briefly with a sick, dark yellowish glow. The glasses, previously unnoticed by the pegasus, floated off the brim of the top hat and settled back onto Summer's nose. "You dropped these, pony."

Summer bent his leg into a half bow. "Thank you."

The worm bent over impossibly far, hinting at much more length beneath the surface. This close to its face, Summer could count the pulsating rings around it's body and see the mud streaking its pink flesh. Eye to eye, the pegasus looked back, strangely unafraid.

"Pony. There is something that you want. And there is something that I want." Its massive white teeth, arrayed impossibly in its circular mouth, gleamed sharply in the moonlight as it kept his eyes fixed to Summer's.

His mind raced with denials, but they ebbed away like the water at his hooves before he could clutch them, and he merely found himself nodding. "Yes."

"Look into the water." Summer obeyed, seeing a large mirror of water forming in front of him. Reflected at him was not himself, but an image of his lover. She was alone. Her hair down and bedraggled, her signature socks removed. Those large blue eyes were no longer vibrant, but dark. She was collapsed in a street, wailing and sobbing, head laid across her forelegs and wings relaxed in complete acceptance of her despair.

Summer looked away.

He nodded to the worm.

"Very well," the worm rumbled. It lifted the small pegasus in his sickly aura, pulling him up and towards its face. Summer felt his cock stir and begin to grow rapidly, turned on by the night and the promise of what this strange creature would do.

The large mouth narrowed as it pursed its lips, impossibly large face looming above Summer like a vengeful god as it angled the pegasus cock into its mouth. The smell of seawater and rotted fish washed over the pegasus before his dick plugged the hole in the worm's head, and he knew he should want to vomit-but did not.

The lips slid over his cock down to the base, drawing a moan and a shudder from the magically suspended stallion. The worm began to fellate him fiercely, snakelike tongue splitting into four parts and massaging his cock from top to bottom. Summer's body twitched helplessly, balls growing tight and high with impending orgasm.

Pleasure swiftly turned to pain as the worm bit down, severing his cock from the base and leaving his balls dangling. Mouth held firmly closed with magic, Summer looked with wild eyes to the worm that swiftly chewed and swallowed his dick. "Most delicious, pony. I shall see if the rest of you measures up."

With that, he straightened Summer's body out and made it a rigid line, heedless of the blood spurting from his severed colthood that was staining his rather dapper top hat. The worm smiled greedily up at the pegasus one more time. "And now, pony, you have made your choice. There is no going back. Be grateful, as there is no greater honor than to  sacrifice yourself to my continuing existence."

Summer nodded once.

Starting with his back hooves, he was lowered between the sharp pillars of teeth that adorned the worm's mouth. Warm blood rushed from his head and out his hooves, filling the creature's mouth as it chomped viciously up his legs. He felt his world begin to blink in and out, blood loss getting to him. Impossibly, he broke the magic on his mouth long enough to cry out weakly, "Swallow me! Please! If you have mercy, let me feel it!"

He could have sworn he saw a smile on that circular mouth before his body was slid inside wholly, and everything went black as he screamed down the creature's gullet. He felt the air turn hotter and the smells became ranker as his stumps of legs finally contacted the roiling acid in the creature's stomach...

A scream pierced the otherwise calm night of Ponyville. Ponies in the streets still at this late hour stopped, blanched, and trotted swiftly the other way in fear.

In a small hotel room near the middle of town, an orange pegasus sat up in bed, coated in sweat. His mate rose in a panic, hooves blindly reaching for him. "Summer! Summer! Are you okay? Babe, talk to me!"

His breathing slowed. His hooves were still there. His glasses were still there. And his cock was still there, he was pleased to note.

"I'm fine. I'm fine. Just...a bad dream."

He rose from bed, leaving his perplexed mate behind as he stumbled down the stairs and out into the night. He looked to the moon.

Its face was blank.

He heaved a watery sigh before heading back inside, ignoring the stares of the townsfolk.
