What We're Going To Do Today

"What the--? Who are you?" asked Twilight. There had never been anything about strange blue portals and small monkeys coming out in any of her books.

"Whoa, talking ponies? How cool is that!?" exclaimed Phineas.

Pinkie Pie zoomed forward to greet the new visitors. "Ohmygosh, ohmygosh! You must be new here! My name's Pinkie Pie, these are my friends Twilight and Fluttershy!"

"Greetings! I'm Phineas and this is my brother Ferb. And this is our pet Platypus, Perry. He doesn't do much." said Phineas with just as much excitement.

"Oh my gosh, he's so adorable!" said Fluttershy. She flew forward and stroked the small platypus, to which he chattered graciously.

"Aww, he likes you!" said Phineas.

"I've never seen many platypuses around Equestria before. He's such a sweetheart!" Angel tugged on Fluttershy's hair demanding attention. "Right, sorry Angel."

"Hold on a second! Where did you come from? What is that big blue thing?" asked Twilight sternly.

Phineas glanced back at the portal. "Oh that, we built a portal so we could travel to another universe. It seems like we ended up in yours. Do all ponies here talk?"

"Almost all of them," Twilight glanced at Fluttershy. "And some more than others," She glanced at Pinkie Pie.

"Oh oh oh, we're gonna have to throw a 'Welcome to Equestria' party for you! We can have cake and cupcakes and there'll be streamers and balloons, and I can introduce you to all of Ponyville!" exclaimed Pinkie excitedly.

"A party for us? We'd be honored! Right Ferb?" Phineas nudged his brother who seemed to be in a trance.

Ferb blushed and nodded a few times.

"Sweet! Can Perry c-" Phineas noticed Perry had gone missing again. "Hey... where's Perry?"

"Where'd Angel go?" asked Fluttershy.

"And Gummy's missing too!" added Pinkie.

"I bet they decided to go and have their own party." suggested Phineas.

Ferb looked back where the portal was, but it had disappeared as well. He nudged Phineas and pointed at the empty area.

"Uh oh, it seems the portal disappeared. Maybe it wasn't as stable as we thought. Did you remember to bring the portal radar, Ferb?" asked Phineas.

Ferb brought out a small radar tool and scanned the area. A little blip appeared in the direction of the forest.

"Looks like the portal moved into that forest. C'mon, we better go stabilize it." Phineas started walked towards the forest when Twilight stopped them.

"Wait! You can't go in there. That's the Everfree Forest, all sorts of evil creatures and monsters are in there." explained Twilight.

"Monsters huh? Well I guess we can wait. The portal shouldn't be too unstable, so maybe we'll catch it later," replied Phineas. "So, were we going to a party or not? We did come to have some fun after all!"

~~~Back in Phineas and Ferbs backyard.~~~

"Yes, here it is! The source of all the color. It seems to be some kind of portal to another dimension," Doofenshmirtz paused in his assessment. "Why am I talking to myself? Let's just get this over with."

Doofenshmirtz jumped into the portal, whisking around through the air and finally being spit out in the middle of a dark forest.

"What? This can't be right, there's hardly any color here at all!" Doof referred to his Colortrackinator once again. "But there seems to be a lot of it outside this forest. I guess I'll have to start walking. Wait, what was that noise? Eww and what's that smell?"

A low growl was coming from beyond the dark underbrush. Doofenshmirtz walked carefully forward to investigate, when a Timberwolf jumped out and roared at Doofenshmirtz.

"Ah! Nice doggy, good doggy," Doofenshmirtz looked back where the portal had been, but it had disappeared. "Well... guess I'm running." He ran off, screaming as loud as he could while the Timberwolf gave chase.

~~~Beep beep beep... beep beep beep~~~

Perry anonymously walked away from his owners and hid behind a tree. Also following him was Gummy the Gator and Angel the Bunny. The three of them pulled out their fedoras and put them on tight.

Perry's wrist watch continued to beep, he pressed the button and let the message come in.

A holographic image of Major Monogram popped up. "Ah, Agent P! We have tracked your location to an unknown universe, and it seems Doofenshmirtz has followed you. I guess investing in that HUGE radar dish payed off, heheh. Doofenshmirtz is obviously up to no good, so it's up to you to put a stop to it. We have located two other agents in the area, find them and have them help you defeat Doofenshmirtz. Monogram out." Monogram's head disappeared back into the watch.

Perry looked at the other two agents standing beside him and gave a smile. Angel and Gummy gave a salute to Perry, and they soon took off in the direction of the Everfree Forest.

They managed to find Doofenshmirtz being chased by the Timberwolf at the edge of the forest. Doof had scrambled up a tree and was now throwing branches and leafs at the wolf, to minor effect.

"Oh, Perry the Platypus! I'm saved! Help me get rid of this terrifying dog made of sticks," begged Doofenshmirtz.

Perry looked on at the scene with amusement, but the moment quickly went sour as the Timberwolf looked in the agent's direction. It abandoned its earlier prey and went straight for the easier and smaller targets.

The Timberwolf lunged forward at the agents, scattering them in three different directions. Angel had run off to the right, Gummy had been tossed to the left and Perry managed to jump up and land on the Timberwolf's backside. The wolf turned its head on Perry and growled.

Perry quickly tipped his hat and a small buzzsaw dropped out. He turned it on and let it rip through the back of the Timberwolf's head, cutting the timber to bundles of sticks.

"You saved me!" cried Doofenshmirtz. He climbed down the tree and walked over to the agents. "Thank you so much, I thought I was done for! And now it's YOU who is done for!" Doofenshmirtz lunged at the agents and swiped them all up in a cloth bag. "Hehehe! Now I've got you and all your little friends trapped, and it was so easy! You never know how handy it is to carry a bag around everywhere."

Perry let out an annoyed chatter.

"Quiet you! Now, before I go sucking up all the color to this place, I'm gonna need an evil lair. Let's go exploring!" Doofenshmirtz took his catch deeper into the Everfree Forest, in search of any place that he could work with as an evil lair.

~~~Outside Sugarcube Corner~~~

"Time to introduce you to the gang!" said Pinkie. She brought Phineas and Ferb inside Sugarcube Corner where the rest of her friends were waiting.

"Hey everyone, this is Phineas and Ferb. They're going to be staying in Equestria with us for a while!" Pinkie introduced for them. Pinkie Pie had managed to set up a small welcoming party for the boys, consisting of cupcakes, fruit punch, some balloons and streamers and one big cake. "Feel free to help yourself to the food and drink!"

Phineas immediately went for a cup of fruit juice. Teleporting to another universe does have a way of dehydrating a boy.

"Well hello! I am Rarity. I must say I haven't seen any creatures like you around Equestria before, where are you from?" asked Rarity.

"Hi Rarity! We're from a town called Danville, which is part of the Tri-State Area," answered Phineas, "Are there not that many humans in Equestria?"

"There aren't any humans in Equestria, as far as I know anyway." answered Twilight.

Phineas took a sip of the fruit punch."Fascinating. So do you have a whole government ruled by ponies?"

"Sort of. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are our governed rulers," answered Twilight.

A rainbow maned pegasus cut in. "Enough egghead talk! These guys came here to have an awesome time, am I right?"

"Totally! Who might you be?" asked Phineas.

"The name's Rainbow Dash, and I'm the fastest flier in all of Equestria!" introduced Rainbow Dash.

"Cut yer braggin', sugarcube. I'm sure they still want to get used to us ponies," an orange pony turned to the two boys with an open hoof. "Howdy, my name's Applejack. It's a pleasure to meet you."

Phineas shook Applejack's hoof. "Hi! It is kind of strange to be teleported to a universe with a bunch of talking ponies, but I've been through stranger. I would like to get to know more about you though, for instance what are all those marks on your flanks?"

"Why those are our Cutie Marks! Everypony gets one at some point in their life when they discover their special talent," explained Applejack "Do humans not have those?"

"Yup, we don't have anything that defines our special talents, although I can think of a few things what ours would be." answered Phineas.

"If you don't have Cutie Marks, then how do you know what your special talents are?" asked Fluttershy.

"We don't, some people just find what they're good at and do that for a living," answered Phineas. "Sometimes they never do find out what they're really good at, but there's always a world of possibilities open to them!"

The ponies all stared at Phineas confused.

"That's really weird." said Rainbow Dash.

"Rainbow!" chided Twilight.

Rainbow circled Twilight.. "What? It is weird! Not having a way to know your special talent, that's like being a blank flank your entire life! How embarrassing would that be?"

"From my point of view, having a Cutie Mark seems just as weird. It's still kinda cool though! What do you think, Ferb?" asked Phineas.

Ferb turned his head and pointed towards the front door. "I think we're in a bit of trouble."

Right as he finished his sentence three Royal Guards walked in and approached the boys.

"Are you the humans known as Phineas and Ferb?" asked the first guard.

"Yes?" replied Phineas coyly.

"Princess Celestia wishes to speak with you immediately."
