Chapters Unknown
As I sit here upon my throne, I look out to the various nations surrounding my capitol.
They shouldn't even be called nations, for they are all united under one single purpose.
One single thing that drives them to exist, to defy me.
Righteousness
And now that open my cold, icy eyes, I see what is before me. A force driven only by righteousness, six of the worlds greatest standing defiantly before me. They have battled, destroyed, obliterated everything I threw at them. They go by a name.
The Elements of Harmony
But what is this harmony? Harmony's sister, Peace, never existed, and never will. Truly, is it really righteousness, and this proclaimed Harmony which drives them to defy me? I do not understand...Yet it makes me wonder.
"Isan! Your destruction here!" The one in the middle said, obviously the leader of the six. Her purple coat darkened by the wet snow pelting her friends, and her.
As if by command, the eyes of the Lich opened, dazzling with a visible blue aura around it. It seeped out of his helmet, not going very far before disappearing in the storm of unholy magical energies flowing around him. The six was startled by his sudden appearence, the yellow one in the back was clearly shaking with fear. The other five quickly snapped from their trance and gave the same opposing pose as before.
"It's time to end this! We will grant a swift death, more than can be said for the thousands of innocents that you tortured and killed!" The purple one screamed.
The King had heard enough. An eeiry chill sweeped through the air, as suddenly all the winds stopped at once. The ground was shaking, about to give away at any second.
Finally, he spoke.
"Don't make me laugh...You expect me, the god of this world to throw myself down at your mercy?"
The Lich laughed to himself, a chuckle, before getting up from his throne. The six moved back a couple steps. The King walked down the icy blocked steps, reaching the bottom.
"I will laugh when you are crawling at my feet, begging for mercy...And I will deny you!"
The pink one of the six started to cry softly, "I-Is that r-really you Isan? We are your friends, don't you reme-" The purple one cut her off, "Enough Pinkie...Isan is gone. That..Thing is no longer the hero we once knew. Nothing remains of Isan, just his body possessed by that monster." Pinkie was crying now.
The Lord laughed, "How dare you talk to your king like that, Twilight Sparkle. You shall serve me in Death if not in Life." The King chuckled softly, "Just like your precious family..."
Twilight cringed, turning her head while shutting her eyes. She remembered her brother, father and mother, and what became of them. A single tear fell from her cheeks, "Come on girls, let's end this."
The once forgotten king laughed hard now, gripping his sword, pointing it toward the six.
"Well come then Elements, basked in your glorious harmony...Show your king your true power!"
Prologue
“I used to be afraid of death. But now.. It’s not so bad.”
“Don’t say that! You’re going to just fine! Don’t move, or speak, I’ll get you back to the doc!”
“A final release from all this pain, suffering, and useless quarreling.”
“You idiot, stop talking!” tears now gushing from his younger brothers eyes, as he tries his best to hold them back.
“Jason… it’s your turn now. You must be the…*cough*H-Hope of this world now. Teach them to be brave, kind, and show them the light. Show them the light in the dark world we know.”
Jason knew what his brother was telling him, and shook his head sobbing, blinded by the tears that were drowning his eyes.
“Remember brother.. Remember the ways of our ancestors.”
“Use these ways… Seek out the secrets back home, there you will find the answers.”
"Remember..."
"Remember….Despite the teachings of our dark order, remember the old ways..."
“Nothing is true, Everything is permitted”
Those were the last words that left his mouth. His brother, staring endlessly at his best friends lifeless body, smothered is blood, and wounds. Jason was frozen all throughout his body, not even the slightest thing about him moved. It was too much for him to take in, way to much for a young boy.
“B-b-rother?!?!?"
Jason shrieked with an overflowing amount of emotion. His eyes stinging from the amount of tears that were flowing down his cheeks, all over his dead brothers’ body. After calming himself down, he wiped his eyes, and closed his brothers.
“Requesta de pace, brother”
Jason put his body to rest, and burned it before heading back home.
Jason went off to fulfill his own destiny. However, our focus will be on another. He may be dead, but death is only just the beginning. Jasons brother is about to embark on a journey that will change not this world, but another; forever. He is off to meet someone, something...
He is off to meet Death itself.
Sequence 1
White.
All I could see was white.
I could see nothing ahead of me. Nothing. At. All. Just a blank void. I knew where I was.
And with a grin I turned to face the entity that was watching me.
There he was, the one they call “Death”
“So.. has my fate been decided?” I asked with a sense of guilt, and fear.
...
For a short while, the dark figure did not speak, but finally gave me an answer.
“Unlike many others.. You’re fate cannot be decided by me.”
“What do you mean?”
“While most beings are sentenced to the two plains.. you however have lived your life with nothing but pain, and suffering. You never truly learned right from wrong. You only enforced what you were taught to believe was right.
You never really had a choice.”
Death looks off into the distance, and chuckles “So much for free will.”
Death looks back, so see my confused face, then laughs softy to himself.
“What I’m trying to say is, your sins… have been reset so to speak”
I give him an even more confused look, and blurt out “So… what now, then?”
He glares at me, then gives me a response.
“You have 3 choices. You can go to his kingdom, or his basement.”
“Why would oblivion be a choice in the first place?”
Death chuckles to himself. “It isn’t. I give the guilty that just to give them the fake sense that they were forgiven.”
Wow what an asshole, I thought to myself.
“Who said that Death had to be nice?” he said with a smile on his face. He can obviously read minds.
Whatever.. I can’t judge something higher than me anyways.
“Wait, didn’t you say there was a third choice?”
“Oh yes, I did. I almost forgot about it.”
“What is it?” I asked, curious
Death stood silent, nodding to himself as if he was talking to someone. His hands were shaking gently before he speak.
Death look turns his head and looks at me.
"Change of plans...It seems you are not done yet." He said, "There is so much more to do." Death laughed devilishly, "Oh how I envy you..."
"What do you mean? What are you talking about?" I asked, confused.
Death looked straight at me.
“I’m going now. And so are you.”
“Wait! What? Where am I going? What will become of me?”
The white void around me started to deconstruct itself, and I noticed Death was getting further away from me.
I screamed for him, but he didn’t seem to hear me. All of a sudden everything went black, and all I could hear was a deep voice speak to me.
“Rise now Isan, and wreak havoc in my name...”
Before I could react everything stopped.
...
...
As I opened my eyes, I realized I was in a forest. Trees surrounding me, and nothing but pitch black, besides the moon shining down on me. My head is throbbing, and I can’t even remember how I got here.
Suddenly I felt something; almost like a whisper passing through my head.
“Only within the apple, are secrets. The deeper you bite into it, the more will be revealed.”
Am I going insane? What does that even mean? Oww! Now my head hurts even worse.
I took off my hood, and held my hand to my forehead. It was burning.
“I don’t know much about fevers but… I know if I stay like this, I could die.”
I wondered to myself about what I should do. Maybe I should go and see if I can find anyone to help me. I pulled myself off the ground, and wandered toward a distant light. As I approached it, I noticed it was a small shack. No… more like a tree. But how could someone live inside a tree? No matter. I need to see if anyone is home. I thoroughly enjoyed going up the steep long ramp, pretty much taking every bit of strength I had left. I was breathing heavily by the time I came to the top of the hill. I noticed my vision starting to blur.
“No… damnit. Not now. I’m almost there.”
I almost reached the door, but collapsed before I could get to it. I hit the wood floor hard, and the pain started to fade away.
The last thing I managed to glimpse was the door opening, and some…thing with four yellow legs come towards me.
…
Isan…
Who is that?
A/N: DUE TO CONFUSION HERE IS A SIMPLE EXPLANATION: MainCharacter's brother was named after Ezio. He is a direct descendant of the Master Assassin. The family name Auditore was passed down, I'm sure you can understand.
The whole Death thing: Failure to complete a mission, Isan dies. He wishes to go someplace without conflict, like paradise, but Death knows his destiny, and sends him someplace else; Equestria. The Assassins we deal with are all modern assassins. There is no coloration to the Master Assassin, Ezio, other than related family.
Waking up
Warmth…
I am….warm…
I opened my eyelids, to see where I was. As soon as I opened them, I saw something that I will never forget. That strange creature was hovering over me.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!” I screamed, scared out of my mind.
“EEP!” the creature fell back onto the floor, with a loud bang.
I must have scared her pretty bad, because her fall made the whole house shake. I could hear and see critters scurrying about the place. She really needs to get an exterminator. What am I saying? This thing isn’t human! There’s no way it can live in a house in the first place. Then again… I have no idea where I am. And the color of everything around me definitely shows that this is not Earth.
I still have no idea where I am, so I ran out the door trying to get out of here, before this thing eats me.
“The staircase would take too long, and she might catch up to me.”
I decided to jump over the balcony and into the main room.
“Wait! Don’t go anywere! You’re injured!”
I was about halfway in the air when I heard it talk… IT CAN TALK?!? The surprise caught me off guard, and I landed in a bad angle. Causing me to twist, and throw myself in an off direction.
“Oww! Damnit!”
She caught up to me, and approached me slowly.
“Oh dear… are you alright?
“Stay away creature! I don’t plan on being tonights dessert!”
“Dessert…? Oh! Nononono… I don’t want to eat you!”
“You don’t?”
“Of course not, I only eat stuff like hay, wheat, and vegetables.”
“So… You’re a vegetarian?”
“What do you mean? That’s what everypony eats.”
What the hell..? Everypony? What does she mean by that? Is she saying she’s a pony? Is that what she is? A pony?
“Are you saying that you’re… a pony?”
“Well… yes, but more specificly I’m pegasi too..”
She showed me her wings, spreading them outwards.
“This is getting too weird.”
“What do you mean? Haven’t you seen a Pegasus before?”
…
“No…”
…?
“Ok, I think I’m going insane, and this is all a little dream. So I’m just gonna go and do something until I decide to wake up”
I got up, and walked towards the door. Bad Idea.
Before I knew it, I was collapsed on the floor, fast asleep.
“Oh… I told him not to move… he’s injured.”
More pitch black…
“Then perhaps a Light shall guide you”
I turned around to see a shining object, on a pedestal. It was glowing, with a holy aura. I approached it, and thousands of numbers , and images started flowing through my head. It hurt so much. I felt like my mind was going to explode.
Then I heard another voice.
“Everything comes at a price. Power...For their innocence.”
What does that even mean? Sure I know everything has a price, but whose innocence? What is he talking about?
Suddenly everything was white. I saw a mirror in front of me. However, I saw something in the mirror.
A figure clothed in dark robes stood there, staring at me. His face was drenched in darkness, a void covering it. His eyes...
I woke to the sound of birds chirping. I checked myself quickly, hoping I wasn't whatever was in that mirror.
“Thank God..” I wiped my brow from the sweat covering it.
“Are you alright?” said a voice from the corner of the room.
I knew who it was, and I decided to come to my senses. I don’t know what this “horse” is, or what intentions she has, but she saved my life and I can’t ignore that.
“Yeah… thanks. And… sorry.”
She gave me a confused gesture. “Sorry for what, silly?”
I blushed when she said that, trying to hide it.
“For… saving my life. I don’t know what could have happened, if you didn’t find me. And sorry for trying to run away like that. I was just startled is all.”
I chuckled. “It’s not every day you see a talking pony you know.”
The confused look on her face grew, but then died down, as she looked it from my perspective.
“Where are from that ponies don’t talk… if you don’t mind me asking that is?”
“Well.. I’m fr-…”
…
“I..I don’t know. I can’t remember.”
What’s happening. Why can’t I remember where I’m from. What is happening.
“Calm down… you’re stressing too much.”
…
“Oh my! How rude of me, I forgot to introduce myself.”
She fixed her mane, and looked off in a different direction.
It was barely audible but I could hear it. +1 for having enhanced senses.
“My name is Fluttershy.”
Fluttershy… how ironic.
“Well it’s nice to meet you Fluttershy, my na-…?”
....
Now my name too? What the hell is happening? It’s strange enough I land in some weird forest with talking ponies, that’s about enough to make someone go insane, but now my name is missing too?
She gave me a long face. Obviously confused; waiting for the answer.
Before I could say anything, I noticed a glowing object in my hand. How did it get there? More importantly, what is it?
I removed it from the bedsheets. I can’t believe my eyes. What was it doing here?
========
The Apple.
========
It’s magnificence glowed before me. I had no idea really what to do with it. For some reason I felt this…pull. To stare inside it. I could sense the power within it. But it felt… wrong. Temptations get the best of us sometimes I suppose?
I could feel it’s powerful seething through me. So I gave up to it. For what seemed like an eternity, I stared at the object. Knowledge of everything. Of all my life flowed through my veins. This time I swear, I felt my brain was being torn apart. I felt as if some, Intelligent being was in control. It must have noticed the damage it was doing on me since it decided to stop.
My mind was clear.
All I could hear was.
You are Isan.
Isan Staguin.
You are an Assassin, but also a King.
Assassin.
The Brotherhood.
The...Creed.
I remember it all now. What I stand for, and why I exist. I know who I am.
My name is Isan Staguin.
To my enemies I am a embodiment of Death itself. But to my allies, I am a beacon of Hope.
I am... the Light in the Darkness.
"Hey! Snap out of it! I mean... if that's ok with you."
I regained my senses and looked at Fluttershy.
"My name is Isan Staguin, please to meet you."
She smiled. Then looked towards the window.
"So... what exactly, are you, if you don't mind me asking."
I could say the same thing...
"I am a human, from the planet Earth. And what exactly are you, if you don't mind ME asking?"
She giggled. Trying to hide her smile. "I'm a Pegasus pony. And this world is called Equestria."
"You said you're from a place called Earth, right? I've never heard of it before."
"Maybe because we are from separate universes."
She gave me a confused look.
"Separate... Universes? How.."
She looked off in the distance, obviously thinking to herself on how to comprehend the situation.
"I have no idea. I actually just figured that out. After... this thing.." I showed her the Apple.
"After that thing, I could suddenly remember who I am, and where I came from. But that's about it. I don't even know how I got here. All I could see was white, and before I knew it. I was out here in the forest."
The Apple stilled glimmered with its shining lights. I could feel something in there. Almost like something was calling out to me. That, or I might just be losing my mind.
"Thank you Fluttershy."
She moved her head toward me, with confusion.
"What do you mean?"
"I want to say thank you. You have no idea how much it means to me, that you. would take some alien creature into your home, and nurse him back to health."
She shook her head. "Oh no it's nothing! I always do my best when one of my friends are hurt."
I became locked up; solid as a rock. "Friend..?"
"Well of course. You're my friend aren't you? I know we just met, and all but you seem like a really nice guy, and you've been really nice to me... Well most the of the time."
We both laughed.
"You know, you should meet my friends. I'm sure they would love to meet you."
Theres.... more?
"Sounds great, maybe I could learn a thing or two, of where I am."
I put on my equipment, and slipped on the hood.
However. I noticed my sword, and hidden blade was missing.
"Fluttershy... you didn't happen to see my weapons anywhere did you?"
She gave me a nervous look.
"Why would you need them anyway, I promise we aren't going to hurt you. We pony-folk are nice people. We would never do anything to harm you."
Yeah, guess she's right. They all seem nice. If they are all like her, I doubt I will run into any trouble here.
"Well, could you at least lock them up in a safe please. Those blades are very important to me."
I could tell she a bit worried, but she took them from under her wings, and hid them in a chest, locking it with a key.
"Alright, let's head out. Fluttershy, you lead the way."
She nodded and we were on our way, to where ever the other ponies are.
DESYNCHRONIZED
SEQUENCE 1 COMPLETE
Authors note: Tired of italing everything, so dialog will be the same text. I see most stories do that anyway, so no biggie right? Also, sorry for the long update between chapters. I’ve been having a lot of family problems. So it’s been slow. Expect more chapters very soon though.
Sequence 2
Fluttershy and I started on the cold, stone path towards what seemed like civilization. In the distance I could see a small town, with many multicolored houses. We exited the forest, and made our way down the path to the village.
“Beautiful..” I whispered to myself under my breath. She took hint.
“It sure is; Equestria is a wonderful place. I’m sure you will love it.” She said with a smile, but faintly fading back into a content look.
I looked off into the distance. “Theres something you want to say. You can ask me.”
Well.. as long he doesn’t mind… “Why do you wear that cloak over your head? Does your face get cold, I can’t blame you… It is pretty chilly this time of year.”
I chuckled, and gave her a simple answer. “It’s by order of the brotherhood. The cloak is a symbol of Anonious, or Anonymous. Our people are trained to blend in with the crowd. Not to be seen, or Identified. To be… unknown to the world, and have no social contact with it.”
She gave me a confused look. “Your… people?”
I can’t tell her what I am. She might freak, and get scared.
I didn’t say anything. She caught my drift, that I didn’t want to talk about it, and quickly changed the subject.
“We should stop at Pinkies first. She is a splendid mare, and will love to meet you.
“Sounds good.”
…
We approached the town slowly, and there was dozens of ponies trotting around. This had to be one of the most awkward moments in my life. Everyone all at once; as if in a perfect sync, stopped what they were doing to see the odd creature, walking through the town center. I could hear silent whispers coming from other ponies. “What the hell is that thing?” asked one of young colts. “I don’t know, I hope it doesn’t plan on eating us.”
That made me jerk with laughter; not aloud, but silently. I sure haven’t eaten anything in a while. And steak sounds pretty good to me at the moment. Seeing as how that’s obviously not an option, I continued to follow fluttershy down the street, and into the shop on the right.
Fluttershy quietly said aloud. “Pinky, uhm… I’m here for the order… I’d like to have it, that’s if its ok with you of course.”
A pink flash of air passed me, so fast it was hard for me to even notice.
“Of course you silly willy, youshouldreallystopbeingsoshytomeimeanarentwefriends-“
She kept on talking. I couldn’t even keep up. What fuels this mare? How can there be so much energy stuffed into one thing? She was a small, pink, puffy mare. Her mane was crazy. It was all puffy and curly; obviously explaining her personality. She hadn’t noticed me yet, and I don’t really like the crazy ones so I decided I was going to sneak out.
Bad idea.
“Thanks Pinkie, but I’m here for other reasons as well.”
OH GOD NO
“I have a friend here that would like to meet you. He’s NEEEEW in town.”
Why did she say new like that? What was that supposed to mean. In defeat I turned around with a grin on my face, when suddenly the pink mare was stuffed in my face. She let out a long gasp, and ran out the front door, leaving me and fluttershy speechless.
“What… just happened exactly?”
Fluttershy giggled, and grabbed my hand gently and led me out the door. “Don’t worry about it.. Pinkie is being Pinkie.”
I’m not sure… “Are you sure I didn’t hurt her feelings or anything? Or scare her? I doubt she has ever seen a human before..”
She put on a small grin, and looked at me. “You’ll see.”
I’ll see? Wait…What? That didn’t even answer my question. What is with the pe-ponies in this town? Whatever, I’m sure it will be best for me to get that crazy mare out of my head. She drives me to complete insanity.
We were in complete silence down the path.
I got used to all the ponies staring at me and only focused on the road ahead of me. I can’t stand the awkward feeling anymore, so I decided to break it.
“So… would you mind telling me where I am?”
She yipped in surprise of my outburst, but calmed.
“Your in a country called Equestria. A land ruled by the 3 major races, Ponies, Gryphons, and Zebra. The ruler of this country is Princess Celestia, and her sister Luna. They are both Alicorns, an extinct race that was said to rule the universe since the beginning.” She laughed. “I never really paid that much attention in school, especially around history. So I don’t know that much. You should ask my friend Twilight. She is a genius, and a bit of a bookworm. She is the town librarian, and the Arch-Mage.”
“I don’t know where we are going but, I would sure like to go see her. I want to know more about this place.” I said with an intrigued look on my face.
Fluttershy laughed. “No need, we are already here.”
I looked up, and saw that we were. A huge oak tree with windows on the side, and a door in the front. The tree was massive, looking to be hundreds of years old. I look upon the tree with pure awe. It was anything I have ever seen before.
“uhmm..hello? HELLO!?”
I snapped out of my trance, to see fluttershy giggling at me. I cleared my throat.
“Sorry, It’s just a site to behold. Anyways, this is where the brain of the town lives? Great, I can’t wait to find out where the hell I am. Come on Fluttershy lets go. I can’t wait to meet your new friend.”
With determination in my heart, I decide to barge right in to find this “Arch-Mage” and learn as much as I can. But… nobody is here. The library is empty. I couldn’t sense a soul in the place. I turned around to see a crying Fluttershy, whimpering as she softly said “I’m so sorry Isan…”
“Sorry? Sorry for wha-“
I felt a sharp pain on the top of my head, and before I knew it, I was drifting off to sleep.
Sequence 3
“Ohh… My head….” I spoke aloud
I remember being knocked out. I thought I could trust these ponies. Seems I was wrong. Time to get serious.
“…is he awake?” coming from a voice somewhere around me.
My vision is blurred, but I saw something there.
My vision cleared, and I saw a large white Alicorn with shining hair. She had a crown on, and beside her stood a dark figure. The figure was half her size, but I couldn’t make anything out of it.
I don’t care where I am, but I’ve been through these kind of situations before, and they NEVER end well. I have to escape; no matter what.
The white one came up to me, and spoke to me “Hello, I am Princess Celestia, the ruler of this land. I would like to ask you a few questions.” I gave her an innocent look, as if I was confused.
She TOOK PITY and untied me with her magic. “Sorry for the rudeness, my guards can be a little ruff sometimes with creatures they don’t know. They fear you, but I do not. I know you have no idea what is happening, and or why you are here. I am here to tell you, because… “ She paused for a minute.
I looked around to find an escape route. It must be instinct, because I calculated a route almost instantly. We were in a dungeon of some sort, and stone, wood, and metal bars were sticking out of the wall. It led upwards where I saw a hole in the wall. Perfect…
She turned back around, and put my equipment on the table. “You can have your gear back, but I will keep the fruit.” I ignored her, and continued to equip myself, and gave her a fake smile.
“I untie you, because I trust you."
I smiled sinisterly. “That will be your undo-ing”
I quickly pulled out a smoke bomb, and threw it at the ground. The entire room was spread with smoke, leaving Celestia, and the figure gasping for air. I sprinted to wall. Taking a 3 step climb, and propelling myself towards the small metal stake. I desperately grabbed it, and swinged over to the small ledge in the corner of the room. The room was very old, and was giving away. The other wood stakes leading to the hole snapped and fell. Luckily, the smoke doesn’t rise as high, and the I could see a large wood plank on the ceiling. I reached into my second bag, and pulled out the grabaling hook. I swung the rope over the ledge, and it latched itself into the wood. Seeing as how the platform below me was giving away, I took a leap, swinging across the ledge. I let go, leaving the hook behind. It’s too late now, and I can’t go back for it. I fell into complete darkness, not seeing an end to it.
As I was falling, for who knows how many stories. I heard water, and prepared myself for a difficult impact.
*SPLASH*
The smell… “It seems I landed in a sewer system” I thought aloud.
“Well, atleast it’s better than where I was before. Who knows what she could have done to me. Doesn’t matter anymore. I have to get out of here, and find my blades.”
It was cold. And not to mention I couldn’t see a damn thing. I need light… I searched around for a torch, but found nothing. “Hmm…maybe I can use the Apple. It seems to emit light whenever I hold it.”
I searched around in my pockets. I started to sweat. I was getting nervous. “hehe, alright you silly artifact, stop messing with me.” Sweating, and breathing brashly I searched everything on my body.
WHERE IS IT?!!? … Oh.. no...
*Flashback* “You may have your gear, but I will keep the fruit….”
DAMNIT! SHE HAS THE APPLE. NOT GOOD, NOT GOOD. Alright, calm down Isan. You can figure this out.
A sound came from around the corner, guards speaking to each other. “I heard something over here!”
Obviously that will have to wait. I jumped into the water quickly, leaving no sound behind.
One of the guards came over, leaving the other behind.
“Hey you go back to the barracks, I’m just going to check around.”
The smaller one nodded, and turned the corner. The big one came over to where I jumped in, and was looking over the water into it.
“Must have been my imagination again…” he reassured himself.
He turned around, leaving him wide open. I slowly went to the tip of the surface, pulling one of my daggers hidden in my belt into my hand. Sorry buddy, but you leave me no choice. I sprung out of the water, and dug my blade into his neck, while covering his mouth. The blood was spurting all about the place, and eventually he gave up, letting Deaths embrace come over him. I hid his body in the water, and ran toward a distant light. Ahead there was an exit, where the sewage was let out. I followed the pipe, being drenched in who knows what. I reached the exit, and it was still light outside. I stood shocked, because I was 700 feet off the ground. I didn’t expect to be this high. Below me there was a castle, and off into the distance I saw Ponyville.
“Now how am I going to pull this off…” I scratched my head.
-Ding!-
I pulled out a parachute from my biggest bag “Glad I still have this baby.” Being prepared I leaped off the pipe, and fell for a good 400 feet before pulling the chute. I guided myself towards a ledge, on a tall building in town below the castle. “Canterlot…they call it?” I landed on the ledge, not being spotted. I threw the parachute away, since it’s useless now.
I looked off into the distance, staring at the huge city before me.
“I need to get the Apple, but first things first. I need my weapons. Something tells me that getting it back isn’t going to be easy.”
Our Universe
-
"What the hell is this? How is this even possible? Jane are you sure we are in the memories, and not his imagination?" Mike asked with a sense of confusion on his face. Jane took of her headset, and gave him "You serious" look. "You know that's not even possible right? The animus can only dive into the memories of the subject, not his imagination. And trust me, I doubt we would want to see what his ancestors were imagining."
Mike was freaking out, and took a seat in the brown comfy chair across the room "I know, I know! I just can't fucking believe this! The Animus wants me to believe that his soul, along with his mind was sent into another complete different universe, one filled with magical unicorns, pegasi, and PONIES!"
Mike was sweating by this point. "It's just too much. I don't understand how it’s possible, and even why it happened."
Jane looked off into the distance. "Even so, the apple itself is crazy enough. The question is how the hell did the apple even get into the universe, more so WITH HIM."
Zack was listening to the whole thing from inside the animus, and he could only think of one word to describe it.
"...Fate"

Running.
Running! Running, RUNNING, RUNNING!!!
Yeah, you guessed it. I am running. From atleast 3 guards. Unfortunately, that 'princess' must have alerted the guards that I have escaped. I have never really been that good at stealth... No scratch that. Stealth doesn't even matter anymore. I am a fucking alien compared to the rest of these... 'ponies.' All that training about blending in with the field means jack right about now! hehe... oh well! Not to worry though. The guards that are following me don't seem to have wings so while I'm jumping over these feeble houses; they are just staying in sync with me, down below.
"Come down from there right now! We promise we will not warm you. We only need to ask you some questions!" Yeah, because I'm an idiot. "Like hell I will! How about you stop following me for a change, huh?!"
While I would love to stay and chat while risking my ass by jumping from building to building, I have an appointment with Fluttershy. I do wonder though... Why was she crying? She obviously was a part of the plan. Either way, I do not plan to hurt her, she looks too innocent for that. I just want my belongings, and I'm getting the hell out of this place. Well, until I get the apple of course. That is going to be fun...
Being the moron, and complete amateur that I was always destined to be, I was so lost in thought; I lost myself. I proceeded to trip on a ledge. "Kuu! SHIIIIIIIII-" *THUMP!* I landed on the cold hard ground bringing several clothes, from hanging clothes hangers with me. It hurt like a mother, but honestly I don't have time to complain when 3 huge, white colored coats, and steel armour with tinted gold stallions are surrounding me. I don't want to kill anyone else. Killing is not my favorite thing to do, and I cherish life with all my heart. Luckily, I'm unarmed, and I always enjoyed the unarmed training. Thing is... they will most likely be throwing their hooves at me; not swords, or arms. It doesn't matter though... I can come up with ways to disarm them, like its instinct. Infact, it kind of is instinct, since I kind of move without thinking. My destiny to be an unarmed badass? No... Robbaz holds that title. Damn.
While it may seem, outside of combat I am a complete idiot, or just plain silly; and I have to admit, I am pretty silly. However, when things get serious I am a completely different person. Not to brag or anything, but these 3 most likely don't stand a chance. I got up, throwing the absurd clothing off me, well.. most of it. there was still a shirt clinging to my back, but I didn't have time to tend to that. "Wait! Please, whatever you are come with us! We only need to ask you some questions. Our princess means no harm, and only wants to know of your... story; or why you are here." I flinched. My story? What the hell? "My story? Well if that is what your princess wants, then she won't get a very happy ending. And why am I here? Why do you want to know that?" The guards looked at each other for a second then back to me. "We... We don't know any more. That was all we were told. Please, come with us. We don't want any trouble." By now several other pony folk were outside watching the entire scene. Even some foals, and fillies. "mama! What is that thing?" she motioned her child to move behind her. "I don't know dear, but stay back. The guards have it under control."
Damnit. When it comes to children, I am certainly weakened. I don't want to create any bad memories for this kid. Still though. That princess was kind to me, and understanding was true. I made up my mind.
"I will come with you. On one condition." The guards looked at each other again for approval. "Yes, of course! And... that is?.."
--
We approached the castle once more, where I saw the princess standing outside the giant, marble gates. She looks like a godess from outside. Literally. Her beautiful hair or 'mane' was moving by itself like magic, even when there is no wind current to move it. It sparkles in the sunlight, shining outwards in all directions available. The guards all halted, and saluted except for one. He went ahead, and undid my bindings, and walked up to the princess whispering something in her ear. I honestly don't care what he said, as long as I get what I want, then I'm good. I walked up to her, and and she smiled. "It's good to see you again creature. I'm sorry for our earlier encounter, and the situation provided." I felt bad for a second there. "No... I am the one to apologize. After you said you trusted me, I made a foolish decision and betrayed your trust. If there is anyway I can repay it, then please let it be so." She smiled even wider, and looked straight into my eyes. "You are kind... And I can tell, very loyal. There is no need to be sorry though. I expected it. I'm pretty sure If I was in that type of situation, I would try and find an exit to escape." One thing to learn about me. I do not accept apologies like these. I stared straight into her soul, trying to give her an idea of what I mean. She then put a very serious face on and motioned her to follow me. I did so, and me and her walked around the corner into the garden. We stopped alongside a balcony where it hovered over the rest of the amazing garden. "You have been forgiven for what you have done. We know of the life you took. If he were not a traitor, you would be suffering my wrath right now." I gave her a confused expression. "Traitor? What do you mean?" She gazed off into the sky, and then said "He was secretly apart of an organization that has become quite a problem lately. It's goal is unknown at the moment, but it has been involved in many cruel, and unjust murders of townsfolk, soldiers, and even children. They want my attention, and now they have it. And I know what I am going to do. You want to gain my trust? Go to the town of Ponyville, and ask around of this organization. Get all the information you can, and report back to me." With that said, she started to walk off back into the castle before I stopped her. "Wait. I said on one condition..." She turned around and looked at me. "Fine, take it. I don't know why you want this metal object though. What is so important about it?"
Things...
Many things....
Hey guys I'm sorry about the wait. 4 weeks... holy shit im sorry for letting you guys down :(((( Time has never really been my friend, so it's been slow. Also, as a side note I once knew where I was going to take this story, but now I have no idea. Let's just go shall we :D
I spun the Apple around in my hands, glorifying its brilliance with the suns reflection. The dirt path I've been walking on for the past few hours, is pretty lonely. I walked through some kind of forest, where I swear I heard a bear or something. Nothing I couldn't handle of course. I declined the giant pony's offer to be flown there, mainly because I don't like heights. I prefer to stay on solid ground, thanks. I quickly put the Apple back into the biggest of my satchels, since I was approaching my destination. I walked over the hills, getting ever so closer to the large buildings ahead. I was expecting some sort of city since Canterlot was pretty large itself, but my expectations were not quite met.
Appearing from the forest, I gazed upon the green pastures set between me and the village. These were perhaps the most beautiful blades of grass I have ever sat eyes on. As it would so happen, when someone is enjoying something...Something always happens to ruin it.
"Ah! Excuse me! Mr. Human, sir!" A voice rang from behind me. Girls voice, definitely a girl.
I turned around and to my surprise, or not really; another pony. A mare, purple or lavender colored, and a unicorn.
"Yes? Is there something you need, pony?" She didn't take that last part too well. I didn't want to sound mean, but i've always been socially awkward anyways.
"Hmmhp! I have a name you know..." She stood as tall as her hooves would push her, keeping her back straight. Either way, shes still puny compared to me.
"My name is Twilight Sparkle, Element of Magic. Personal student of the Princess herself!" She made sure I understood her position with the Princess, and trust me I did.
"Nice to meet you, Twilight. However, I still do not understand what you want from me. I'm on business with Celestia, so if you would please excuse me..."
"Now you hold on right there mister!" She said, while poking me a couple times.
"The Princess has asked me to help you on your job of collecting information. Obviously, you will need a place to stay so I have offered this for you. I will not accept declines, after all you owe me."
"I owe you? What do I owe you?"
"D-Don't worry about it! Now come on, I need you to do something for me."
I was pretty confused, but decided to ignore it and followed her. She led me to the town square, before stopping. This had to be the tallest building in the village. It took a few seconds before the thought actually reached my head. Well, it wasn't much of a thought if it goes out loud.
"Why am I here exactly?"
"I need you to get something for me. You see I left this book inside the town hall, but I don't want to go back inside to get it. It's just too embarrassing, please you have to help me!" I flinched, mouth agape.
"You dragged me all the way over here just to retrieve a book you can't get yourself because you're too shy!?" I was near screaming at this point. I don't have time for games!
"Fine I'll do it."
Twilight stood outside watching as the human figure entered the hall. She heard a mix of gasps and screams, but she knew why. What she didn't know was the sound of glass breaking, and the mayor screaming "MONSTER!!!" at the top of her lungs. Minutes later, the clothed figure walked out with spots of blood and rips in his clothes. Twilight gasped at the sight. The human came over to her, dropping the book next to her. He didn't look happy to say the least.
"Twilight. I don't have time for games. I need to find information, and fast. If you're not going to help me, then go bother someone else. Lives are at stake, and I don't intend on wasting them."
With that said, he went onward down the path leading to downtown Ponyville, leaving a frozen Twilight Sparkle in place unable to speak.
Authors note: Short chapter yes, but this idiot has published like 4 stories, and it trying to complete them all. I love this story immensely, so I'll try and update it more often. I know this one isn't even 1k words, but I have a date in an hour so wish me luck!
"Isan wait!" A particular lavender mare said from behind the cloaked human.
Great.. What could she want now? I already told her I don't have time for this... "Okay look I'm sorry. I can see your a serious stall... excuse me, man. Just tell me what you need, and I'll do what I can."
"I'm glad you see, now can we get down to buisness? This kind of work is pretty dark, you know.."
"You should watch it human, you may look scary in those cloaks with all those blades, but I'm more than capable of beating you senseless myself." Scary...
"Right...Whatever you say pony." I rolled my eyes.
"My name is Twilight, not pony!"
"Yes, sure, whatever,Twilight!" I hate her voice, snappy, and arrogant.
She grunted moving along the trail. I followed her until we reached her home. The same damn place I got knocked out before. We entered her "home", which I still find completely absurd that she lives in a carved out tree..Can't be helped I suppose.
I can't always be a dick.. "Thanks for the help Twilight, now I must ask another favor if you do not mind?"
"What is it?" She asked
"I need to use some of your books on the arcane arts. I wish to know more of your pony magic."
"I'll give you whatever you want...You have my permission."
"Thank you Twilight, you're not so bad after all."
"Yeah, yeah, whatever you say human," Oh wow she actually did it. "I'm going to bed, you can use any of these books to your will."
"Hey Twilight?"
"Yes?" She asked, yawning.
"Do you trust me?" She blinked.
"Well of course...I mean you are a weird creature that I may have never seen in my entire life, but my princess sent you, and I can see your not truly a bad person inside, though sometimes you may act like a total asshole." Thanks...Really thanks. "So in conclusion, yes I do trust you. Now goodnight..." She stopped halfway up the stairs, "Human". Eh, I deserve it.
She trusts me though...heh
"Just like humans, so easy to earn their trust," I closed the current book I was reading, "too bad that just might be their downfall."
This chapter was shortened, and redone due to my silliness of trying to make a comedy of it. I have no idea what I was smoking when I wrote the earlier version. Now this story will be 100% serious, removing comedy tag as well. Have a nice day.
Alright so I've been basically looking through these books for around 2 hours. Nothing, yep nothing at all. These books didn't help me at all! Oh well. I can't blame Twilight, after all she was only trying to help me. Got to be nice to her for her efforts. Well actually now that I think about it... hmm... Wait, whats this? I spread my fingers apart, keeping the page as still as possible. "Due to the recent events of Mayor Bucklewarns of Fillydelphias death, a new candidate has been chosen. Former military general, Mr. Rudee of the Red Cross has taken upon the position of Mayor and Governor of Fillydelphia. He vows to keep the people save from all kinds of harm, and promises freedom among st the ponies." Something is off about him. The red cross? Why is that so familiar?
"Having trouble understanding something Isan?" I'll just ignore what she might have meant by that.
"Yeah.. Do you know anything about the Red Cross? Or Mr. Rudee for that matter?" Her eyes went small, stopping dead in her tracks. "Twilight? You alright?"
"Uh..Y-yeah I'm fine, I just can't believe your asking me that. Then again your new to this whole place aren't you. I'll give you all I know." We both took a seat, and she a took a long breath before starting again. "The Red Cross goes a long time back in our history. Of Equestria of course. You see, before the princesses had absolute control over Equestria, a organization known as the Red Cross owned Equestria. They were horrible tyrants, who would do awful things to their own ponies. Things like public executions and.... and..." Tears started forming in the corners of her eyes. "It's alright Twilight, you don't have to tell me anymore if it's that bad." She sniffled, wiping her tears. "No it's alright, you deserve to know. Eventually a war broke out between the Alicorns and the Red Cross. According to the books the war lasted for a couple hundred years ending in the Red Crosses defeat. The casualties of the war is something you can view to date. That's why theres no more Alicorns. Both the war with Discord, and the Red Cross completely annihilated the Alicorn race."
That was a lot to take in. I just learned a few hundred of years of history in a few seconds. BRAIN OVERLOAD! Still though, if this is all true.. "If what your telling me is true, which I totally don't doubt it is. Then Mr. Rudee is a descendant of this organization. Has he done anything suspicious lately?"
"It's funny you ask, Isan. In fact his just recently declined all support and troop withdraws from Celestia. It seems he's trying to rebel against Celestia." She was shaking, clearly scared.
"Twilight whats wrong?"
"I'm just afraid of another war. I don't want that to happen at all.." She looks so adorable when shes scared, I could just squeeze the life out of her with a hug. You know what, I'll just do that.
I walked straight up to her, and gave her the biggest hug I've ever given any pony. Thinking back, have I ever given any pony a hug before? "Isa-.."
"Don't worry Twilight, that's why I'm here. I promised Celestia, and I promise you I'll find the root of this corruption and tear it straight out. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure there is no war, this I promise." I squeezed a little harder before letting go. I had all the information I needed.
"Okay..I trust you. Be careful you hear? I don't want any of my friends getting hurt."
She trusts me. I want her to, but she can't trust someone like me. What am I doing getting attached to these animals? I just need to get the job done, then I'm out of here. Speaking of which I need to find a way home, if there is a way. With those thoughts out of the way, I recieved all my weapons from her, and was on my way. She insisted that I go and meet her friends, but I'm preventing a war here; or so I think. I simply don't have time for friendly greetings.
"I promise, thank you Twilight for all the help you have given me. I will return one day." I bowed like a true gentlemen, before setting off into the woods once more. Her giggle was the last thing I heard before stepping into the shadow of the dark forest.
Switching to 3rd for a while. Get used to this switching.
The dark, tall creature clothed in black robes, with silver armor walked in a slow, yet effective pace through the forest. His hood devouring all sight of his face. Occasionally he heard small, faint whimpers around him, obviously animals but ignored them. He had encountered some creatures during his journey, but they never attacked him. They simply stood in a defensive position and stared. They would growl, and gnash their teeth to get even the slightest reaction out of the figure, but nothing occurred. The beasts of this land were far too used to everything being afraid of them, so this was a sight to see.
"I wish I could have been given a horse," he chuckled to himself. "Oh that's right."
The figure never stopped once for a break. He had to admit he was tired, and rest would be swell at the moment. Eventually his legs gave up. He fell to his knees, crawling over to the nearest tree to lean against it. He sat there for a few minutes before he finally gave up to sleeps embrace.
I opened my eyes and found myself leaning on a tree. I must have fallen asleep, not good. I wonder what I dreamed about? I can't remember, oh well. I pulled myself up on my feet and looked around. Shit. It was so dark, I must have been asleep for more than a couple hours. "At the midpoint of the journey of life, I found myself in a dark forest, for the clear path was lost." I whispered to myself, remembering that famous piece of work. The world grew darker around me, as I felt some strange sensation like someone or something was calling out to me. I can't explain the feeling, it's just too weird. I found myself walking in the pitch black heading who knows where.
Let me see it. Let me see the Light... A voice rang around me.
It wasn't threatening though, it was somewhat comforting. I felt as if someone was controlling me as I found myself reaching into my back pocket to reveal the Apple. As I removed it, light started pouring from inside the cracks of the device. It shunned brightly nearly blinding me from seeing it. I closed my eyes to remove the light from hurting anymore, but when I opened them the Apple was gone. I started to panic, looking around me, seeing as if I dropped it; seems not. What is happening? Where did it go?
Follow me... That same voice rang through my ears, who is that?
I turned around to see a bright light in the distance. It moved around, as if dancing. I threw away my confusion, running toward the light. It kept talking to me as I ran closer. I remember this place...It's been too long. The voice spoke, echoing around me.
"Show yourself!" I yelled. The voice ignored me, this time shining all it's light in my face. I fell to the floor, covering my eyes from the sheer brightness of the light.
So much to learn, so little time.
"What?! Where is the Apple? Give it back to me!"
You have your own destiny to fulfill.
"What do you mean? My destiny? What is my destiny? Where is the Apple?"
Your destiny is but your own. As for the artifact, you must return it.
"Return it? What do you mean?"
You are not the one to wield this power, you must return it to the city ahead. Find the burial of the first of your kind, only then will your answers be revealed.
"The burial..? You mean I'm not the first?"
I bid you farewell Human. Good luck. The fate of the artifact..No. The world is in your hands.
"Wait...Please, wait!" It was too late, the light vanished, darkness covering my vision.
Authors note: Due to me constantly forgetting, I finally wrote out the entire plot of the story. Now I have something to write off. See you guys next time ^_^
I'm sick and tired of this god damn forest! I've been walking for what feels like hours, and I haven't found a damn thing. I know I'm going in the right direction, I can feel it, or so my gut tells me, but maybe a hint would be nice? After that crazy dream, I decided to just head towards the city like I was previously, but this time with another objective. If what I was dreaming about was true, then this "Temple" must exist. I've had a lot of weird dreams since I arrived here, so I don't have much time to discuss my sanity.
I'm still even having troubles with believing all this. I don't remember how I even came to this place, nor why. The only thing that's keeping my together is my pride, and sense of forward motion. Sometimes things happen that you can't understand, yet you have to just keep going forward. It's far better than just sitting around confused, trying to understand what is going on. Huh, what's this? A light! YES, YES! I ran as fast as my feet would carry me to the light until I was standing at the exit of this damn forest. Ahead I could see the large bustling city, with massive walls around it. Newly created too, I wonder why?
I found the cobblestone path leading to the gates, then remembered that I'm not a pony. How am I going to get in? I seriously doubt they let any alien creature into their city. My thoughts were interrupted by a sound of a carriage from nearby. I quickly laid down in the grass, it being tall was a pretty big help too. I smiled as I got an idea.
*BUMP* *BUMP* *BUMP* OW MY HEAD!
You know I would have thought that climbing under the carriage was a good idea, but I forgot that I was easily vulnurable to the cobblestone below me. I hit my head at least 3 or 4 times before we arrived at the gate. I tucked myself closest to the bottom of the carriage as possible, hoping to avoid being seen. I heard several hoofsteps around the carriage, then a deep voice from a stallion, "Alright, you're free to go." The carriage started moving again, allowing me to let loose a bit. I heard the large wooden door open, allowing us to come in. Soon it closed, and I'm sure we are inside the city. I can't see anything though, I'm only assuming all this.
Great, step 1. Get inside the city using a carriage. Step 2. Find a way to get out of the carriage without attracting any unnecessary amount of attention. F**k. Why didn't I think about step 2? How am I going to get out of this mess? There are ponies every were! I'm bound to get seen. Welp, I'm screwed.
40 minutes and counting of riding under the carriage in the city(it must be huge), it finally made a stop. I heard hoofsteps, many of them come from the edges of the carriage, and slowly get farther away. Oh sweet, a break. But that still doesn't solve how I'm going to get out of here. I let go of my grip, and flopped to the ground. I peaked through the bottom of the carriage, and there were ponies of all kinds of colors, sizes, and whatever they call those things on their heads. As I moved around on my back, I felt a metal object. Slowly flipping myself over I found a sewer entrance. My. Lucky. Day.
With a grunt I pulled the sewer latch up, placing it over on the side. I'm really squished in here so getting in is going to be interesting. I peered down the hole, which was pitch black. Well, it's now or never. Holding my nose, I went head first down the sewer entrance into the black abyss. As I was falling I saw a light, and the ground beneath me. I positioned myself for the land, and it did so accordingly. I rolled forward to transfer the force of the landing into a forward motion.
I cracked my neck, and looked around. Well this is nice, it stinks like hell, and I can't see a damn thing. Wonderful. You know, why is it so dark down here? Is it really all that much to put some torches or something? I mean honestly, you would think they would atleast do something. I sighed and pulled out the apple, seeing as how it's my only source of light. Something happened when I pulled it out. The light emitting from it was beating in a pattern like a heartbeat. The hole sewer began to light up, then fade a second later. I could see engraved marks like ones on computers, for all that data stuff, marked on the walls, the light coursing through it in a certain direction. It felt odd, it felt alive.
You know what? I'm not surprised anymore. This is happening too often, so it must mean something. I followed the path of light, watching my corners for anything. Can't be too careful, can you?
I've been wandering around for ages, following the same path of light. Am I going in circles? No, I don't think I've ever made it around this turn before...Or maybe I have? AUGH! SO CONFUSING!
Finally after wandering for over 9000 years, I approached a door pulsing with light. What the hell..To my surprise, the symbol of the creed was engraved on the door. I walked up to it, and felt it. Roaming my hand across the large, wooden door. Under the floor there were glass tiles with some form of light coming from it. The whole room was lit up now, and I could see everything. The wood door with the symbol of my pride carved unto it, was connected by a small creek of what seems to be oil. However, the creek was in a glass tube, looping all the wall up to the ceiling. At the top I could see a torch, and the entrance to the tube. I see how it is...A test.
I glanced to my right, and easily found a path of broken bricks, and shafts leading to the ceiling. Easy peasy. Or so I thought. As soon as I leaped on the first brick block something clicked throughout the entire room. I immediatally knew what this meant, and started speeding up the shafts, jumping to new ones, hoping they won't break. I was almost to the top of the ceiling before I started noticing the timer was moving faster. I quickened my pace, my adrenaline coursing through my body. The latch was getting ever so close to closing completely, and I was almost there. Finally I reached the final platform to see that there was no way to get to the center. In the small room was 3 barrels of powder, and a torch dangling from the ceiling, on a thin rope.
I took a deep breath, switching my wrist blade to it's small firearm mode. I rarely ever use this thing, so I might be a little rusty. For the smallest second I realized that this might have been designed for something of an earlier era. I think the point was to cut the rope causing the fire to ignite the barrels. But seeing as how I have a firearm, and I could just easily shoot the barrels, I think I will do so.
*Clink*
"Boom"
I woke up to the smell of burnt gunpowder and debris all over the place. At first I was confused, then I remembered my genius idea. What was I thinking to be honest? To shoot a barrel of gunpowder? How did I think that was going to end up? ..Whatever
The entire room was demolished, destroyed pretty much everywere. There must have been a lot of gunpowder considering all the damage that was displayed. I pulled myself to my feet, trying to wipe some of the debris off me. Luckily, it was only shards of glass and small pieces of cobblestone. Nothing too serious. After I was on my feet, I tried to find the door that was here before. What I found was something completely different. The place where the wall had been, was now completely demolished. Was this place designed to be destroyed? Who would do that?
I shrugged, seeing as how either way it doesn't mean much of a difference to me. I walked around the destroyed pieces of the room, trying not to make anything collapse, just to make the situation worse, a cobblestone piece from the cieling dropped and almost hit me on the head. That's it. I'm out of here. I went a full sprint into the dark hall behind the ruins of the door. I had no idea where I was going but the floor was wet, and it was very dark. Eventually, I came unto another room, this one smaller than the other. Actually, a lot smaller, like bedroom size. The room was dark as hell, yet luckily there was a torch on the side wall. I picked it up and walked in. It wasn't that dark, but my eyes were already adjusted to the darkness so I could tell how big the room was.
I looked around, seeing all sorts of gems and spectacular items of untold valuables lying around. They don't really interest me. I don't really care for money or gold or anything really, just not for me I guess. I saw there were unlit torches around the walls of the small room, so I lit them with the current torch I had. Once I lighted them all I swear I heard some kind of melody play before the ground started to shake. I braced myself, for the floor might collapse. Luckily, it didn't and a slot opened in the ground. Slowly a tomb of some sort moved upwards before coming to a halt.
I looked over the tomb, paying attention to it's detail, design, and age. It was very, very old. I couldn't help but feel a sense of remorse for this guy, as if I once knew him or was related to him. I knew he was of the brotherhood, seeing as how puzzled tombs were a common burial. However, only the highest of the brotherhood can obtain such an honor...Who is this man? No wait, maybe it's a pony. But...I thought I'm the only human here?
Slowly I opened the tomb, removing the cover off the top. As it slid off, dust and smoke went everywere. "Damnit! *Cough*" Note to self, when removing old tombcovers do not breath in suddenly because you were holding your breath of the excitement. After rubbing my eyes, I caught sight of the inside of the old coffin. Nothing. Well that's kind of wei-NOTHING?!? WHAT? I frantically searched around the sides of the coffin like an idiot, as if the dead man was hiding from me, but found nothing at all! Confused I looked deeper into the old coffin, and found something surprising. Another trademark wrist blade, yet it isn't like my current one at all.
Taking a closer look I saw( and remember it's really dark in here even with the torches around. ) instead of just the general leather strap, wrist, glove thingy, it was like a gauntlet, Extending all the way to your shoulder. I slowly pulled it out of the coffin, and it dangled a bit; which is good since it's obviously flexible. What surprised me was that instead of leather, it was a flexible but very hard metal. It basically looks like the arm on a midevil knight but not so hard to move around. It had a faint glow to it which kind of freaked me out. What was I holding? This is definately not iron, so what is it?
Moving closer to the light, I could see an inscription on the side of arm. It read, "Dragonite, T77WB". Hmm...Dragonite huh? This will be interesting, some kind of metal I've never heard of. You learn something new every day, don't you? I decided to take off my covering jacket so I could get this thing on. I mean, it's not he's going to use it....Wherever he is, that is. During the process of my jacket being taken off, i never realized how badly it was torn and destroyed during the fall. It literally tore right before my eyes, rendering itself useless. Fuck.
Then again, I don't really need it, since I'm not exactly hiding from anybody. Or anypony for that matter...I kind of stick out don't I? Damnit, why am I so human? With my jacket destroyed, my identity is revealed. Now it's just my simple T-Shirt, that has the brotherhood's symbol on it. I wonder where I got that. Anyways, I put my hand in the mechanism, which I shouldn't even call a wrist blade anymore. It pretty much takes up my entire arm, even my hand which is covered in metal just like a knight in full body armor.
With it sucesfully on, I now know what it's like to have a metal arm. AND ITS AWESOME! I can just punch the wall and I can't even feel anything! I thought to myself encouraging words before punching the wall in a awkward pose. The pain shook my bones, and I vibrated up and down like in the cartoons. Okay, maybe not, I DID FEEL THAT. Looking back at the wall, I could see a clear crack, reaching for a good 2 feet across. That's incredible, I didn't know I had that much in me. I struck a pose, flexing to myself. Okay, well seeing as how there is no where to go, I guess I should find the secret way out. What? Seriously, theres always some secret door or something. Let's see...How about this, nope, or this? Seems not. Oh, oh! Of course! I mentally facepalmed before trying to pull down the only torch that I couldn't light. It moved just like a lever should, and the wall to my right opened up, revealing steps. I chuckled to myself before running straight up the steps.

The Light Where Darkness Resides
Assassination
Reaching the surface, the sun blinded my eyes. It hurt for a while but I quickly made sure to cover them. I released my hand from my eyes once they were adjusted and the city started playing out before me. Looking around I realized I was on the tip of the iceburg. Or the cathedral in this case, who knows how many feet above. Looking over the edge I could see that the cathedral was crowded, in fact very crowded. There were ponies everywere, but why though?
All of the sudden, the noise quieted down, and I could hear a loud voice shout from the crowd. It was deep, and cracked the sky with it's power. Not literally, but yeah.
"Citizens, hear me out! As you know, every year I set free one prisoner from my holdings." The large pony said, covered in armor. He motioned to his guards, who quickly nodded before sending out the two prisoners. One was so severly beaten, it even made me sick. I climbed down a bit, so I could get a better view without being seen.
"This colt, which you conmdemned to me, has suffered enough, has he not? Who do you wish to release?" He said, gesturing to the beaten pony.
The crowd was silent for a few, before all shouting in a loud embrace, "Parabas! Release Parabas! Release him!" One specific pony, covered in fancy robes held up his hoof, silencing all the ponies. Once quiet, the large captain guard pony unchained the murderer and set him free. He skipped along the path, happy of his freedom.
"What have you of this colt?" He asked. The crowd grew silent.
"Crucify him!" One shouted from the crowd. Soon, the entire crowd joined in, repeating the same thing, with other words like blasphemer, heretic, and other sorts of names. They continued shouting until the captain raised his hoof. He stood silent, looking around for a minute.
He looked at his sergeant, "Do what you want with him. I am not associated with this innocent colts blood." He said, walking off into the temple.
Something is off, based on the description Twilight gave me, I'm almost 100 percent sure that is Rudee, the whole reason why I'm even here. I'll have to follow him, see where he goes. Maybe if I can get a better look at him, I can confirm.
The crowd took the beaten pony away, and Rudee came back to check. His guards were dismissed, so it was only me and him. Time to act. I quickly jumped down from the roof, pinning him down with my right metal arm, while holding the blade from my left wrist to his neck. He squirmed around, not saying anything mainly due to the shock.
He had his eyes closed, due to shock perhaps, or fear. That gave me a good couple seconds to get a good look at him. After a close inspection, I've come to confirm that this pony is in fact, Mr. Rudee.
"Creature! Get off me!" He screamed, squirming.
I failed. I let him let out a scream. His guards are bound to show up any minute now. I have to end this quick. I turned him over to his back, moving my hand up to his mouth, covering it. I raised my right metal arm, triggering the blade to come out. Instead of like the traditonal blade to come from the bottom wrist. This came over top of my hand, over my knuckles. Before I stabbed him, I looked him straight in the eyes, "Death has called. You shall answer."
I swung my arm down in a quick motion, but everything didn't go as planned. Suddenly i felt a strong painful sensation in the side of my stomach. While I was distracted, he bucked me straight off him, breaking a couple of ribs in the process. I layed there on the ground, frantically searching for the source of the pain. He rolled around, coughing, trying to catch his breath for I would have choked him if not severed his throat.
I moved my hand along my shirt before I felt a damp, warm spot on the lower section of my stomach. I looked over and saw I had been stabbed, more than once. But when? I don't remember him ever pulling a weapon out on me. I grunted, pulling myself to my feet. The captain was limping away, his guards already running toward me to kill me.
"Oh no you don't, I never let my prey escape." I whispered.
He went inside the palace, shutting the doors inside, locking it. I started moving a little faster, but the faster I went, the closer I was to the incoming guards. I ripped off a piece of hanging cloth from the balcony, covering my wound. I ripped another piece off, shoving it between my mouth. I bit down hard before going in a full sprint. It hurt like hell, but I expected that. I clenched down on the cloth, relieving some of the pain.
"Ready your arms, here he comes!" The smaller one of the two said.
I'm too injured to attack...Do I have any bombs? I searched inside my left pocket, and thanks to the holy gods of this world there were not only one, but three bombs left. I felt them, noticing one was a smoke, the other two explosive. I quickly pulled out the explosive one, throwing it straight at the two. They raised their weapons in curiousity. But everyone knows curiousity can get the best of you. It exploded, shaking the ground, even breaking a hole through the wall where Rudee went through.
When the smoke cleared, two charred, bloody bodies were left. I felt a small pain in my heart, but threw it away, giving chase after Rudee.

"Ponius! Are you alright?" A rather medium sized unicorn asked the limping Governor.
"Yes, Rain, I am alright; just some damn assassin is following me. Not only that, but whatever that THING is, it's not any pony kind I can assure you that!" He grunted, sitting down in his chair.
"Sir, shouldn't we move you somewhere else? If you were to die, then that would be the end to the Red Cross!" The lavender, unicorn asked.
"The end? What is the meaning of this, Rain? Are you saying..."
"Yes Master, the assassins have already taken out all the other leaders, and gained influence. We lost everything. The only place left, is here."
"Quiet, Rain. We are not longer alone." The pony said, getting a small 'eep' from his servant.
"Mr. Rudee. Otherwise known as Ponius Pilot." A voice said from behind them. The servant turned around before screaming, attempting to run away but was quickly shot down from multiple knives penetrating his skull.
"So this is how it ends?" Ponius asked, turning to see his killer. A form a pony. No, multiple ponies stepped into the light, covered in dark robes. The one in the center, obviously the leader held a blade in her mouth. Her deep cyan eyes glowed with a beautiful radiance.
"Yes. This is it, brother." She said, closing her eyes.
She was about to step forward when the doors slammed open, revealing a creature running on two legs speed past the small group, leaping off a small table between him and Ponius. While flying through the air, he raised his right arm, shooting the blade from his metal arm outwards. He looked at Ponius with a cold, emotionless stare before delivering the final blow. He plunged the blade deep into his neck, the blood uncontrollably flying outwards all over Isan's shirt.
He didn't keep it clean, but death is never a clean thing. With the blade still in the victims neck, he layed him down before saying his last rites. Ponius cut him off, "What have you done?"
"I ended another chance of war."
"War? We never wanted war, just national peace."
"Killing innocents to gain control is never the way to go friend. It doesn't matter now, I will end the Red Cross as I have ended you."
Ponius chuckled, coughing up some blood. "You already have."
With that said, Ponius gave up his life, letting off into the next one. Isan force closed the pony's eyes, whispering his rites. Isan retracted the blade, before looking back at the cloth hidden ponies. The two on the side of the one in the middle looked unsure. The mare in the middle was awe-gaping at the sight before her eyes. "I can't believe it's him.." She whispered to herself.
"Did you say something?" Isan asked.
She shook her abruptly, "No. I.. never-mind."
Isan looked on curiously, "who are you? And what business did you have with him."
"I am his sister, and I came to finish the job. However, thanks to you, I didn't have to get my hands dirty."
Isan was interested, yet he quickly threw it away. He didn't have time for any drama. He heard the guards coming, meaning this was his ticket out. The guards bursted threw the doors, shouting out to the four to get down, and turn themselves in. Isan, without noticing saw the three ponies standing over the balcony, the mare looking straight at him.
"Let's go." She said, looking straight at Isan. He nodded and jumped up on the balcony. His injuries were making this hard, but he had no choice. Now it was time for an escape. The three ponies jumped off the edge without warning, two of them flying through the air, while the mare cruised downward into a huge pile of hay. Isan immediatlaly recognized this move from his training. They taught him to use anything that could reduce your momentum of falling.
Isan took a deep breath, the guards getting closer every second. He jumped, performing the infamous trademark swan dive.
"Damn this hurts..." He thought to himself as he fell.

"Dear Twilight Sparkle, my star pupil. It is a lovely day outside today, so i was wondering if you would like to meet me, all and all your friends at the lush green hills, between Ponyville, and the Everfree. We could have a picnic and talk of many wonderful things. I will see you there,
Princess Celestia."
"She didn't even give me a choice. Oh well, I suppose I could alter my schedule to this picnic." She laughed to herself.
"SPIIIIIIIIIIIKEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!! GET SOME THINGS READY, WE ARE GOING ON A PICNIC IN A FEW!" She shouted, hearing a small 'oh boy!' from the small dragon around the corner.
-==--==-
Isan and the small group of ponies were panting, trying to catch their breath. They leaned up against the tree's of the Everfree. Isan can't believe he ran from over 30 guards with all these injuries. He quickly checked his stomach, and blood was everywere. He sighed, trying to calm himself down. I can't believe I let myself get injured like that!
"Hey. Here, you need this." The mare said, her deep cyan eyes looking at Isan. Isan found himself staring into her eyes, obviously creating a liking for her beauty. She held out a large cloth, which Isan used to wrap around his wound. MY FUCKING GOD THIS HURTS. Did she pour salt on this thing or what?
"Yeah. Thanks. Tell me... Who are you?" Isan said.
His question went unanswered as he soon found himself alone. Isan looked around, finding nobody. What the hell? Where did they go? "HELLO!!" He screamed out, nothing came back. Isan looked back into the forest, his breathing becoming shorter by the minute. He knew if he didn't get help quick he would die. As he turned around back to the path to Ponyville he swore he heard the wind say, "We will meet again someday." Or maybe I'm just going insane. Isan sighed before taking off a full sprint back to Ponyville.

"I must say, Rainbow dear, these cloud pillows are so comfy!" Rarity said, posing for dramatic effect.'
"I'm glad you like it, Rarity. Those things are hard to make, not that I couldn't do it of course." Rainbow said, her voice full of pride.
"Guys, guys, guys, look! These cupcakes are so delicious!" Pinkie Pie said, spazzing out as usual.
Twilight said nothing, but laughed.
"Ah must say girls, this has been a great picnic, too bad Fluttershy couldn't make it!" Applejack said, her expression saddening with the mention of Fluttershy.
"Yeah. That really is too bad. I wonder...huh?" Pinkie said, her voice changing into a mix of confusion.
"What's wrong Pinkie Pie?" Celestia asked, concerned.
Pinkie Pie pointed towards the woods, "Lookie! Look, it's Isan! Oh I wanted to ask him something, I'll be right back!" Pinkie shot off into the distance, her friends further behind.
-==--==--
"How do I approach him? What do I say to him? Okay Pinkie, you can do this, just act PINKIE STYLE!" She said to herself, before switching back to the happy pink ball of happy fury.
I see something coming. A pink ball? Pinkie Pie? She had a smiling expression on her face, hopping toward Isan. Getting closer, she saw him in clear detail. "Hi there! I'm Pink..." She saw the blood dripping from his shirt, covering almost his entire left side of his body; stomach down. Her cute expression soon changed into one of shock, mixed with extreme worry. His breaths were getting shorter, and his legs were starting to give away.
He slowly moved his eyes up at Pinkie, clearly shaking. "P..Pinkie.." He fell to the ground, passing out from all the blood loss. He was tightly holding the spot here the blood was coming out, but with it now released the blood was now flowing out. Pinkies hair deflated, as if responding to her emotions before she quickly grabbed Isan, some of his blood drenching her coat. She didn't care. He needed help. She took off in a full blast, passing by her friends, heading back to sugar cube corner.
"Wait, Pinkie what's wro-?!" Twilight screamed, then notcing the trail of blood on the grass.
"Oh no.."

Why so many cliffhangers?
Complete endings are boring, and DO NOT catch the reader to stick around. This is the only solid reason as to why I have them. What? You know they work. ;)
I thought Isan was Ezio?
No. The Master Assassin Ezio Auditore, is not in this story. In the prologue, Isan's brother was named "Ezio" after his great, great grandfather, The Master Assassin. THEY ARE FAMILY, BUT HE DOES NOT APPEAR IN THE STORY. This is the story of his great great grandkids and their adventures. Well, at least one of them.
What about the whole Death scene?
I believe after we pass away, Death meets us in a void-like area, to tell us where we go next. Isan is no different. However, he was not being sent to heaven or hell, but Equestria. It's his destiny to go there, but what he does there is his own.

A/N: Will he survive? Let's find out! WARNING: SHIT WILL GO DOWN IN THIS CHAPTER, HARDCORE.
The Light Where Darkness Resides
A Spark Neglected
Void.
It's that damn white void again.
How long have I been standing here?
Have I been standing? How do I know. Oh look. It's him again, the dark one. He was in the distance with his long dark robes moving in the wind. The wind...I don't feel any wind. That's weird. You know what else is weird? This. I can't feel anything, not even my own breathing. Am I breathing? He's so far away too. Why?
"Isan are you there?"
A voice. What voice. Who voice.
"Isan, please wake up..." Is she crying? She? Who is she? Pink. So much Pink. Why is there so much Pink? I guess I could wake up. Am I asleep?
A shock pulsed through my body and I felt myself open my eyes quickly, frantically searching around me. I was lying in a bed, white. Lots of white, maybe a hospital? Only makes sense.
"Isan..?" What was that? Voice. Her. Again. What?
I looked over and saw a pink pony, her eyes previously pouring tears all over my chest. Now she stood still, her pupils small, shrunk. She must be surprised. Why? I recognized her as Pinkie Pie. I saw her when I came out of the forest...
"Pink, are you alright?" Pink? Why did I call her that? My brain must be providing a name for the sudden overload of pink.
She wiped her eyes, still gazing at me, "You...Y-you were just.." She got off me taking a few steps back, fear clearly in her eyes.
I sat up, "I was just what? What happened to you? Why are you crying?" Her eyes were bloodshot, clearly tired. I still don't get why she was crying.
She started sobbing deeper, shaking while pointing behind me. I turned around to see the line on the life detector machine was completely still.
A straight line. I stared at it for an eternity before it suddenly started moving up and down, showing my heartbeat. It was just still...Was I dead? But I couldn't have been..I talked, I saw, I felt. How is any of that even possible? Maybe it was him. That thing in the void. That's the only explanation, or excuse I have for this. I turned back to Pinkie, she was sitting still, looking at her hooves in confusion. She might go crazy, this is too much for an innocent mare like her.
"Pinks?" Fuck it, just go with the name, maybe that will make her feel better, "I know what just happened didn't make very much sense, but I want you to know that I'm okay," she looked up at me. "All thanks to you of course. Thank you Pinks, I owe you my life." And I do. I know I wouldn't have died if she had not carried me.
She sniffed, her hair oddly puffing up back to it's original form and her smile returned. She grinned madly, "Okay dokey lokey! Well you can get up whenever you want, your wounds have healed already. I mean you have been asleep for over two weeks!" TWO WEEKS?!
"Mmhm!" she looked down, "I felt pretty guilty for not being fast enough, so I volunteered to come in here every day and change your bandages." She did that for me?
"Hey, I appreciate your kindness, but don't feel guilty at all; you saved my life, so don't act like it wasn't enough, okay?" She perked up, smiling again, "Okay! Whatever you say!"
I tried to get up, but felt an odd sensation of pain flow through my entire body. I froze in pain before flopping right back on to the bed.
"I thought you said I could get up whenever I wanted?" I asked with a raspy groan.
"Oh that's right! Here, Twilight said to give this to you. It's some kind of potion she made for you. She said something about magical residue flooding your bloodstream, but I don't know what that means. But you should take this!"
Magical residue in my bloodstream? Am I corrupted? "Thanks Pinks!" I grabbed the small liquid container, opening it, then downing it without a second thought. It tasted pretty good to be honest. "Mmm, cherry.." Pinkie giggled.
I felt a strong sensation pulse through my body, and it didn't feel bad to be honest. Instead of pain, I felt power. I don't know how to explain it, but it just felt good. My eyes were bulging, or at least thats what it felt like. My veins started sticking out, glowing light red. I felt as if my body was being torn apart, yet at the same time sewn together. It felt amazing, I felt like I could just explode. Pinks was getting worried as she watched me smile with excitement over the changes.
Luckily I had my clothes on. as I hopped out of my bed feeling as amazing as ever. Is it getting hot in here, or is it just me? My right arm still had the metal arm on it, I guess they just didn't want to remove it. It started to steam, and I felt the searing pain of my right arm being melted inside the metal. I fell to the ground, screaming in pain. What the hell is happening?! My skin, it's being burned straight off my body! I looked down to see that it actually wasn't, but was steaming hot air instead. I suddenly felt it hard to breath, along with the pain of my right arm being forged in a case of metal.
Finally the pain stopped, and everything stopped. All of it, all the pain, everything. I laid there, breathing heavily. I looked over at my right arm incased in the metal armor, and tried to remove it. It wouldn't budge. It melted to my skin, to my bone. That's it...I've had enough of these fucking ponies!
"Pinkie Pie..." I managed to get out.
Pinks ran over to me, placing her hooves on my shoulders, "Isan! Are you okay? What happened? Are you alright?!"
"What.." I breathed in, "the hell" breathed out forcing myself to my feet before grabbing Pinkie by her neck, holding her in the air, choking, "did you give me!?!" I screamed, tightening my grip.
She gurgled and coughed, yet somehow managed to get out a small response. "Isan! Stop! Please, I can't breathe!" She squirmed, but it was useless, that little bitch is mine now. I don't know what she tried to do to me, but I don't die that easily. Tears started forming in her eyes, giving me the cutest little face ever. And by cute I mean she was in absolute terror, which for some reason made me feel 'oh so good' right now.
Finally, I let go of her, and she plopped on the floor coughing, and crying hard. I felt awful for doing that to her, since there was no way she would have done that on purpose. It wasn't her...It was Twilight. That scumbag..
Realizing Pinks could never forgive me for what I did, I gave her a cold hard stare. "I'll let you live Pinks, I owe you that much. However, I don't think the same will be for your purple friend."
-==---==-
As I walked through streets of Ponyville toward Twilights house, I thought of a theory. Pinks said something about magical residue. Magic. In MY bloodstream. Do you think it would be possible of I were to..? It's a hard theory, but worth testing. I felt that power surging through me when I was in pain. So...Let's try this.
I sheathed the blade from my metal arm, and took a quick slice at my left arm, blood leaking out, along with a lot of pain. My theory was correct as I felt that same sensation surge through me. It felt hot, like fire. Fire, that's it! I concentrated all my energy into my dragonstone arm, using mental power. As I suspected my dragonstone arm started to heat up, then fire was starting to leak from around the edges of the metal knuckles. It worked, IT WORKED! I CAN USE MAGIC, YES YES!
Twilight...What a stupid unicorn. She tried to kill me with her demon magic but instead gave me power. She will be surprised when I burn her body to a crisp. Nopony tries to kill me, and get's away with it. I focused harder on the magical energy, and thought of a ball. I read about this in Twilights books, how to use offensive magic. I focused all my energy into this mental ball, and before I knew it a small fireball was floating around the palm of my hand.
One last thing...I tried to move the fireball to my blade, and surround it like an aura of some sort. After a few tries of failures, it eventually surrounded the blade. This could be useful, a more painful death for her. Maybe now she will experience the pain I went through, when her throat is being seared.
I looked up and before I knew it I was at Twilights house. I saw a carriage outside, with some royal guards there too. Oh the princess must be here! This will be great as she watches her murderous student die before my hands. I smiled to myself, remembering my training. I smiled cheek to cheek, laughing to myself as I approached the door, alerting some of the guards. Both of them motioned to stop me, but I quickly killed them both. Slicing the one of the left with my wrist blade, and burning the one on the right to a black crisp.
"No forgiveness, No mercy, No emotion. This is the way of the Dark Brotherhood."

A/N: WHOA WHOA WHOA??!!? WHAT THE HELL?!?! Now before you guys get all butthurt, let me tell you there is a flashback next chapter, that will explain ALL OF THIS EVILNESS! I also had a great time writing this chapter.
oh and not the dark brotherhood from skyrim, lol
Some of you might be thinking, really? Magic? Yes, magic. I wanted to enforce magic on my character to give a sort of twist. I will work on development of the whole magic situation later, for now; "Death has called, and we shall answer."
The Light Where Darkness Resides
Graduation
2016, Shadow Camp, Earth
"Congratulations to all you recruits. During these past 2 weeks you have learned the essential skills of a modern assassin. Not only physically, but the mental and spiritual requirements needed to make it possible to even consider yourself worthy." The Master Assassin walked around the small group of dark clothed people, huddled in a small room.
"The Brotherhood has been through much. From the teachings of the Grand Master Assassin, Altair. To our most recent example, Ezio Auditore. The brotherhood which once fought for justice and peace amongst people, fell to corruption and now assassins are hired killers, mercs as we call them nowadays. However, from that corruption, a single man; a direct descendant of Ezio himself, and someones father here," He looked at two boys in the front, who exchanged looks. "rose up from the corruption, and established the new order. A new creed, and a new system. While yes, the old sayings are still repeated, as they are from our masters; we are different from them."
He cleared his throat, "And now we shall read the creed. Please stand." All did so as commanded.
He picked up a scroll, unrolling it. "Those who kill, shall be killed." Whispers could be heard throughout the room as they all said it together. "We kill, for those who do not kill." He took a deep breath. "We search for peace, where it cannot be found. And where it is not found, we find it. But remember, there can be no peace, when discord walks the land we live."
"When executing a kill, remember."
"No forgiveness, No mercy, No emotion. This is the way of the Dark Brotherhood. What this means, is; no matter how the cost, your mission must be completed. You are driven by a single force, a dark force of wrath. But within this dark force, lies a light which shines greater than any other. You are the embodiment of Darkness, and you fight Darkness, to become... The Light."
He looked at everyone, nodding. "Let us Pray."

"My student...He approaches."
"I know...Princess?"
"Yes, my pupil?"
"I'm scared. I've never felt a force this raw, it feels so wrong, I feel like I'm going to throw up."
"I know. Just stay behind me, I will try to explain to him."
As if on cue, the door shot open revealing a figure shrouded in shadow and flame.
"It's worse then I thought...I should have known."
The figure walked ever so slowly up to the large, golden white alicorn. His face no longer visible since it was covered in a mysterious shadowy material. His eyes were red, staring into the alicorns soul.
Finally it spoke. "Are you afraid? Don't worry, I'll make this as quick as possible." His voice was not his own, as if someone or something else was there with him.
Isan was no longer Isan. He was something else. The energies pulsing from him were all to familiar to the alicorn. She didn't want to admit it, but even she was scared.
"Why hello there Twilight! What's wrong? Are you cold? Here, let me fix that." He snapped, sending a stream of fire toward her. The alicorn charged her horn, and dispelled the spell before it hit Twilight.
He pouted, "Oh come on, no fun with you is there princess? Well no matter. I'm here to finish her for what she did to me, and not even you can save her."
"Stop Isan! Let me explain" the unicorn shouted.
"Explain? Explain how you made that potion that nearly killed me? Well actually it would be nice if you told me how you made so I could use it on some of your friends..." He grinned evilly
"No, Isan! Listen to me!" she shouted, slamming her hoof on the ground. "That potion wasn't made by me!"
"And you expect me to believe that? Is this your last resort? Such cowardliness, Twilight."
"Please, hear me out! A week after we found you, a mare clothed in some really weird clothing, kind of like yours showed up. She gave me that potion saying it was 'from a friend."
Her.
I remember her.
That mare with the cyan eyes.
She helped me escape. Why would she try to kill me?
"Do you know her, Isan?"
"Yes, I do. She helped me escape. I just don't understand why she would try to kill me."
Twilight paused, laughing. "Kill you? She saved your life!"
"That potion sealed my skin to this metal casing. It melted my skin. She tried to kill me Twilight."
Twilight sighed walking over to me. "Think of that potion as the soap you put on a cut you get. It stings, and hurts a lot. But it cleans you of all the terrible things that were inside of it. The same theory applies to you and that potion."
"Well then what did she cure me of then? All I can see is this amazing power flowing through me. Seems her little plan of cleaning me up only ended up corrupting me further...If you consider this corruption that is." He said with a shrug.
"It is corruption." Celestia said. "The magic you are using is not your own, but of one who's power should have been completely sealed away some time ago." She didn't seem too confortable talking about this subject. I wonder what would happen if I pushed it further?
Isan grinned madly, "So who's power is this? I must know so I can thank my new master for giving me the power to possibly end an entire country." He chuckled, "Or world." They both were taken back by that, getting in a defensive position.
"Hm? Oh don't worry. I've lost interest in harming you, or your pathetic country."
He turned facing the doorway, "I've lost complete interest in this matter. Now if you will excuse me, I have to go meet him myself."
Twilight moved forward, "Where are you going?"
"To free him from your harmonic chains."
He turned facing Celestia, "You of all ponies should know that there can be no peace...When Discords grand creation walks the surface of this world."
Celestia tried to stop him but before she could even move a muscle, he was gone. In a cloud of shadow, he disappeared. Celestia gulped, "Twilight. Gather the elements. We must see to it that this does not happen the way he intends."
Twilight nodded heading for the door, she stopped halfway through, looking back at her mentor. "Princess? What did he mean about Discords creation?"
She sighed, "Legend has it that in the beginning of time, the first race; humans were corrupted by a dark force known as Discord. They are his people, and he is their master. Isan is no different." She paused, "But that doesn't mean that all humans are evil. I know for a fact that Isan is not what stood before us today. He is hiding something. Even so, not all humans are this way. They have a strong sense of righteousness, even surprising us in some ways. After all, they were the first."
Celestia opened her eyes to see Twilight taking notes on this with a quill and paper. She giggled a bit at her clumsy, silly student before telling her off. Twilight nodded, and headed out the door. She screamed.

Deep in the Everfree forest
Good. They believe I'm going to set him free, wherever he is...That will give me time to get away from his place. I can't stand it here any longer. I read about a country to the south, Concordia. It is ruled by a small race of deer. The land is shrouded in forest, and shadow. Perhaps it is best for me to go there until I can solve this problem. This magic...
I just can't stay here any longer.
You can't run from me.
What the hell? Am I hearing things?
No, but I am.
Who are you? What are you doing in my head?!
....No response. I knew I was going insane. I need to go away. Far away. Someplace where I can't hurt anypony seriously. I've already killed two innocents, I hurt Pinks..Oh Pinks, I'm so sorry, I wish I could have done something to apologize. I just can't stay here anymore. I don't want to cause any more...
Chaos? You were going to say Chaos weren't you?
No, no I wasn't. Just get out of my head. I need time, alone.
You desire Chaos. You want Chaos. It's in your blood, human.
No, no, no...
Serve me and I promise eternal life, and power.
No, I can't. You will kill too many. I can't let you free. Just get out of my head!
Either you set me free, or I will stay here until you do so. So, what's the choice?
....
Well?
....
Look's like this is going to be a long trip, I better buckle up!
A/N: Okay. I pre-planned before time to have Discord play a major role in this story. For those who don't like the whole magic thing, let's just say that Isan's magic is not his own. He is only allowed to use magic when he succumbs to Discords will, whether that be on a rampage, anger, ect.
Plot is confusing, yes I know. I'm trying to push through this little story until I reach concordia. From there, things will be anew. Hopefully less confusing.
The King of Chaos
Border of Equestria
-said, 'Equestria, they got all over the place!
Isan snickered at the joke, trying to keep his composure from laughing a bit too hard. While yes, Discord was an annoying pest, he was great at making jokes.
"You know Discord, you're not so bad.." Isan said aloud.
Really? You think so? Well then maybe you can reconsider running away?
"Not going to happen." Isan could hear an audible pout echo throughout his mind.
It got quiet quick, and Isan started up a conversation. "So how exactly are you here, in my mind, I mean?"
It's quite simple actually. It you paid attention to what you were doing when you fought Ponius, you would know.
"What do you mean? Please, explain."
Isan heard a sigh in the back of his head. Ponius was a leader of a cult, otherwise known as the Red Cross. That cult worships me, so I give them some power in return. Fair trade is it not? Anyways, the power I give them is stored inside containers they use to manipulate the energies to whatever they want. You happened to be injected by some of the energies, thus allowing me to come inside your head, and annoy you until you release me.
"So then your not truly here? Just a presence?" Isan asked, confused.
No. I am here. The process works like this. When infected the energies spread throughout the body, corrupting it. If not treated fast enough, it will kill you. Surprisingly enough, you didn't die. The act of transferring myself to you takes a lot of magical energy, and mass. When the energies grew large enough, I sent myself into your body, hoping to take control. However, it seems I was a step behind someone else. That potion you were given obliterated any chance of me taking control of your body. Without any control, I can't control my magic. That's exactly why you can summon fire at will. You're basically leeching off my power, human. In conclusion to answer your question. I am here, all of me, yet the only way for me to be free is for the seal to be destroyed. And, I'm sure you know who that seal just might be.. He lied.
Isan didn't want to admit it, but he was shaking a bit. He was the seal. His death, meant the return of the god of chaos.
However, I will let you in on one secret.
"And what is that?" Isan asked
The secret to defeat me.
"What?"
It's simple really. All you have to do is destroy the elements of harmony. With the elements destroyed, my existence will not be able to sustain itself, and I would end up disappearing into nothingness.
"How do I destroy the elements?" Isan asked, slightly confused on what he meant exactly by 'elements'.
Your line of work knows it all too well. You're an assassin are you not? Kill the elements. Without their precious bearers they will become useless and destroy themselves. If the element has nothing to posses, then why does it exist? So then...What are you going to do?
"Even if I have to suffer for eternity with you stuck in my mind, I will not trade the lives of innocents for anything." Isan said, shaking more intensely, but not of fear.
So be it...By the way, where are we?
DEATHSTONE MOUNTAINS, BETWEEN EQUESTRIA AND GRIFFDON
Temperature: 15F
It's cold here...
"You don't say!" Isan snapped back.
Well hurry up and make shelter, I don't need you dying on me!
"I thought you said if I died, then you would be free?" Isan asked
No, you have to be killed. Not die of any natural causes, otherwise my soul won't leave your body. Oh and don't think of being killed by that either, otherwise I'll keep your soul in your body to keep me company for all eternity! Sound nice?
Isan cringed, "No, it doesn't.."
Good, now find yourself a fire, and some food. Don't worry about shelter, the wind doesn't blow here in the mountain entrance, nor does rain or anything other fall from the skies.
"Then how does the snow appear?" Isan looked down at his boots, sunk deep into the soft snow.
It doesn't. Your standing on hundreds of years old snow.
Isan looked down, grabbing a scoop of snow. He felt it, sucking in all the knowledge of this ancient place. This place is lonely, not even a single soul could survive here...What better chance do I have? I'm hopeless...It feels so dead here, everything is dead. Even me...I am dead..
Snap out of it human! Don't let your guard down. This place is much more dangerous then you think. Another thing, don't use any magic while you are inside this mountain range.
"Why?" Isan asked, running forward through the blizzard.
We don't want the King knowing we are here. If he does, we are as good as dead. In more ways then one.
"The King?"
Yes, the King. The Lich, whatever you want to call him! Just make sure you don't use any magic! ANY! If you do he will know you are here, and even worse he will know I am here. We have to pass through this mountain range without disturbing his slumber.
"You sound afraid of him Discord..." Isan smiled devilishly.
I know what your thinking, but asking him for help is possibly the stupidest thing you could ever do. Yes, he could obliterate me, but he is not to be trusted. He will kill everything in this world, even you. That's not even the worst part...
"What do you mean?" Isan asked, still sprinting through the cold winter, ignoring the whole 'food' and 'water' thing.
Isan could hear Discord gagging in the back of his head. What he does is...unnatural, even for my standards. Look, just keep running forward. It's only about 20 more miles until we leave this wretched place. Isan nodded, still confused, yet he ignored his confusion. He could clearly see that Discord was not faking this. He was terrified of this 'King', and wishes to stay away from him at all costs.
-==--==-
4 hours later...
Isan was soundly sleeping in a cave he found. Beside him sat a fire which he made from the dead trees around him. He ate some apples he found on some of the living trees. They tasted bittersweet but he didn't care. At least he had something filling his belly. The wind blowed intensely outside the cave entrance, blocking all view of the outside world. The hail and snow filtered the air, making it impossible to see. All Isan had was himself, and his fire. But he wasn't alone. And he felt it. Isan opened his eyes, sitting up from his resting place. He looked around, hearing nothing but the wind.
He called for Discord but no answer came. Isan was worried, concerned for his evil companion. His distracted concern for his friend was quickly cut short as he heard a voice from outside the storm. He recognized it immediately at Pinks voice and ran out to see her. He exited the cave so fast that he tripped and fell down the steep hill. When he reached the bottom, he frantically searched around for her. The snow was blinding but he could see a shadow of some sort in the distance. Believing it was her, he followed the shadow, getting closer and closer. He heard the calls of his name, being shouted over and over again, getting louder the closer he came.
When he came closer to the shadow, a loud, bloodcurdling shriek came from the shadow in front of him. He saw more shadows appear, jumping on to her. He could hear ripping of flesh, and bones being crunched as he desperately tried to get closer to save her. One more shriek was enough before he closed his eyes and screamed, "ENOUGH!!"
As he opened his eyes, the storm stopped. The monsters were gone, the screams, and the sounds of ripping flesh were all gone. What was left of it, was something Isan wish he never saw. He looked upon the mangled body of what used to be Pinks. Both her front hooves were twisted, their bones sticking out in awkward directions. The bottom two had chunks of it bitten off. Her stomach was ripped open, blood covering the entire body. One of her eyes were missing as well, as her tongue too.
Isan fell to his knees, trying to comprehend the situation. He felt like a train of guilt just smashed into him, leaving him with nothing but regret for not being fast enough. Eventually he started to cry over the loss of his friend. He wondered why he wasn't fast enough, why he couldn't save her.
"I couldn't save her..." he whispered "It's too late..."
Isan lifted his head as he felt a cold, overwhelming presence overcome his mind.
It is not too late...There is a way to save her...
"Who are you?" Isan stood up, frantically looking around. "Show yourself!" He screamed.
If you want....To save her.....Find me...
"And why should I trust you?" Isan asked, staring out into the white sky.
You have no other choice... Isan bit his lip, he knew that thing was right. How else was he supposed to save Pinks?
"Fine...What do you need me to do?" Isan said, barely above a whisper.
First.... The voice spoke softly before growing into a deep voice. OPEN YOUR EYES!
Isan shot up from his sleeping position, covered in sweat. He looked over seeing the fire still burning. It was just a dream? It felt so real...
Something the matter Isan?
"No, it's nothing, just a nightmare." Isan responded.
Discord said nothing, going back in his deep slumber. He knew whatever he dreamed, it couldn't have been good.
Isan sat up, looking over himself. He found his clothes to be ripped in some parts, which he remembers clearly them being ripped when he fell down the steep hill. It wasn't a dream, it couldn't have been. But if it wasn't a dream then Pinks is...
Isan swallowed hard, grabbing his coat he made from animal skins while in the Everfree forest. It was a large white bear hide, covering the majority of his body. He stitched a hood into it to keep his ears warm. With his cloak on, he exited the cave. Isan felt awful, yet great. He was finally alone. Discord was asleep, so there was nothing clouding his mind from the task at hand. Isan sighed, realizing he couldn't feel anything worth while until he saw Pinks face again.
With a grunt he started his slow jog off into the distance, heading where his gut told him to go. He ran for a while, taking 5 minute walk breaks in between each session of sprinting. Isan was in good shape, especially with all the cold conditions around. Sometimes he would trip and fall down into the snow, burying himself a good 3 feet in. He would dig himself out, before getting back on his feet heading into the white abyss.
Isan lost count of time, he had no idea how long he had been running, but he didn't care. He wanted to find this...that thing..And get Pinks back. He couldn't bear the loss of his friend, and the closer he got, the higher his spirits would raise. Isan stopped, looking around to see absolutely nothing but white. He was trapped so deep in the blizzard he couldn't even see his own feet. He felt lost, he needed guidance.
All that I am...
A voice. I hear it. To the north, it's to the north. Why is it so familiar?
Anger...
That's the same voice I heard in my dream, yet it wasn't a dream...Was it?
Cruelty...
Isan ran toward the source of the voice. The whispers became louder and louder the closer he came. "Discord are you there? What's happening?" Isan asked, with no response. "Must still be sleeping.."
Vengeance...
The voice was coming from above, and Isan found himself climbing up the side of the mountain. He felt attracted by the voice, needing to get closer. He climbed, and climbed until he found himself at the peak of the mountain. Ahead, a little higher he could see a path carved out of the mountain. It was a staircase leading to the tip of the mountain, above the clouds. He took slow steps at first, but his new found master whispered to him.
Follow my ways...Destroy all who stand against us...Serve your master!
Isan was being driven insane by the sheer amount of stress being pushed on his mind. Isan would sacrifice anything to bring Pinks back. Anything, even the lives of others. The stress was too much, and it was pushing his mind beyond his normal limits. He continued walking up the long, icy staircase until he reached the top. He heard whispers from his past entering his mind, increasing the stress on him.
By this time, Discord was awake, realizing the situation. He smiled devilishly, his plan going exactly as he wanted it too. He lead him all the way here to finally free him from his chains. For so long he has been imprisoned, and now Isan would be his dark knight in bringing the destruction of the world.
Isan stared upon the throne encased in frozen ice before him. He saw a shimmering light in the center, moving like fire. Around the fire was dark metal pieces of armor and dark clothing including a hood like the assassins would wear. Isan felt a strong energy pulse through his entire body, forcing him to kneel before the object before him.
Become my chosen knight...Fulfill your destiny...Only then will you be able to save her... The King said, the fire in the center moving accordingly to his voice.
Isan closed his eyes, feeling the unholy energy flow into his veins. He opened them with a new set of eyes, "Yes, my Lord. I will do whatever it takes, no matter the cost, no matter the sacrifice to serve you. Just bring her back to me.." Isan said in a deep voice.
All in due time my chosen knight, but first you must show yourself worthy to be my knight of darkness.
"I will do anything, my Lord." Isan said in a calm voice.
Good...Return to Fillydelphia, and slay any leftover guards of the Red Cross. Once you have done that, use my power to make them aid you, not in life, but in death. Wipe out the entire city, leave no survivors. Once you have done that, find the remains of Ponius, and take him to Concordia, to the south. There, you will be greeted by your allies, and they will have further instructions.
"I understand my Lord. I will do this at once."
Before you go...Take this.
The block of ice started shaking, before cracking all over. A searing light came forth from the ice, blocking Isans' view. When he re-opened his eyes, the armor that was previously inside, was now before him. He nodded, quickly replacing all of his equipment with the new ones. He was grateful to have his master give him such gifts. When he was finished, he pulled the hood over his head.
He felt as if his head was going to explode with the raw amount of energy that was flooding his body. He opened his eyes, feeling much greater. He felt invincible. As if he could take over the world...Doesn't sound like a bad idea, does it?
From the outside, Isan looked like a shadow of a human. His armor was trimmed with bone pieces, and the space where his face could be showing was instead enveloped in shadow. No one could see his true face. Only Isan could see outwards, nopony could see inwards. Despite the armor looking so heavy, it actually wasn't heavy at all. Isan ripped off the metal arm he previously obtained, ripping away at his skin. he threw it to the ground, feeling much lighter. He hid his torn skin in the arms of his clothes. Feeling much better, he switched his wrist blade to his right hand, since he was a right handed person. Feeling unstoppable, he headed down the mountain, to a boneyard he found earlier.
When he arrived at the boneyard, he found the remains of a horse. Not a pony, but a horse. It made Isan wonder how a horse could find it's way here, when this world seems to be entirely populated by ponies. He shrugged, looking down at the dry bones of the horse. Isan concentrated his energy, and using the magic obtained by the King, he channeled it into the remains of the horse. It took a minute or so for the magic to take full effect. Soon, he stopped the spell, stepping back with a smile on his face. The bones started to reanimate themselves, moving around to their old positions to form the horse. A black flame produced in the center of the horse, spreading around the entire horse. Isan heard the disgusting, yet pleasing sounds of flesh, and skin being formed from the bones. When it had finished it's reanimation, it neighed into the cold winter air, echoing throughout the valley. Flame poured from it's eyes, and the shadows surrounded it like an aura.
Isan smiled to himself, before chuckling loudly. He climbed upon his new ride, and kicked it forward. It went forward, leaving only black flame in it's wake.

Discord still trapped in his icy cage, was satisfied with himself. The hole of Equestria...No, the world was about to break lose. Discord laughed loudly, echoing throughout the entire mountain range. He soon calmed down, whispering to himself.
The time of reckoning has begun!
A New World
Fillydelphia
"Stand ready!" The commander of guard said. "The Dark One approaches! Lord Discord warned us about this day, do not let him find Ponius!" The commander screamed over the guards, before taking shelter in the temple. As he closed the gates, sealing them he heard screams of anguish and suffering. The sound of flesh being torn apart, and untold horrors eating the corpses of the dead.
The commander ignored the sounds, fleeing deep into the temple. He ran down the steps, bursting into Poniuses burial room. He hid behind the tomb of the fallen cult leader, shrieking in fear. He whimpered like a child when he heard the door of the room being severly beaten on. He prayed to Discord, asking for his blessing. The door suddenly slung open, shadows flowing into the room. Ten to fifteen undead ponies, previously the guards he commanded walked into the room. Yet, instead of attacking him, they stood still.
The commander looked in the center, watching the Dark Knight stroll up to him. The commander cowered before his presence, "who are you?!"
Isan chuckled loudly, grabbing the pony by his neck, suspending him in the air. "Your end." With a final squeeze, the neck of the pony crunched, killing him instantly. He tossed the body to the ground, speaking to his ghouls, "Feast." The Dark One walked up to the burial tomb, ignoring the sounds of flesh being consumed by his dead. He opened the tomb, revealing the ashes of the once great necromancer, Ponius Pilot.
Isan snapped, ordering two reanimated dead to take the ashes, and reserve them for the journey ahead. They growled in response, doing exactly as he ordered. Isan turned around, leading his dead out of the temple and into the new Fillydelphia. He looked around with pride with all the destruction he created in his masters name. Hundreds of ghouls bound to his will, rummaging through the streets, killing any living that might be left, and feasting on their flesh.
A particular Lich approached him, which he earlier raised. His name was "Ama'zu'kath" meaning "Plagued one" in the language of the dead. Isan boarded his horse which he named, "Wrath". The Lich caught his masters attention, "My Lord, where are we to go next?" he asked, his voice echoing throughout his chilly bones.
Isan turned his attention toward him. "You are to go nowhere. I am placing you in charge of the forces left over I have gathered for my expedition to Concordia. Defend this city, and get to work on making the new plagues you talked so much about." The Lich nodded before floating away, leaving the Dark One to himself. Isan trotted off into the city. He passed by many destroyed buildings, some on fire, others torn apart by the plague. Anything that was previously human was gone, as he snickered with glee at all the suffering around him. As he reached the town center, he summoned all his might into a shout.
"Soliders of the scourge! Hear your masters call! Rise! Follow your master, as he commands it!" He shouted.
The ground seemed to oblige with his request, shaking as more ghouls appeared from the ground. They all gathered around Isan, a good 200 of them. Isan grinned devilishly, before setting off into the night, his dead army in pursuit.

The doors of the royal palace slammed open, revealing the six particular ponies that were called. Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Twilight. They sprinted toward the princess, who was shimmering in blinding white light. Her sister was beside her, staring out the window at the midnight sky. "
"Princess! We came as fast as we could! What could be so urgent to need the Elements once more?" Twilight asked, worried.
The Princess swallowed hard, "My Little Ponies, I'm glad you could make it. We are some grave news." Twilight amongst the other girls looked around at each other, intruiged, yet still concerned. "An old threat to this world, which was once sealed long ago has been...re-awaken. We are facing something serious here, and I'm afraid this might change the face of Equestria...Forever."
Twilight gulped, "W-What do you mean, Princess? What happened?"
The Princess sighed, approaching the ponies closer then before. "Fillydelphia has been wiped out. Our scouts have confirmed it."
"W-Wiped out?! What do you mean?" Fluttershy asked.
"Fillydelphia was attacked earlier tonight by an unknown force. The entire city was erased from existence. Everypony is dead." Celestia cringed at the fact of her precious ponies being slaughtered.
Fluttershy started breaking down crying. Rainbow Dash fell back on her flank, surprised. So did the rest. Pinkie Pie was too busy staring into nothingness to even give a reaction. This was too much for a mare her age, she is only a child.
"What does this mean, Princess?" Twilight asked, an obvious hint of fear in her voice.
"It means we are going to war, Twilight."
"With who?"
"With ourselves." Celestia responded, tears flowing from her face.
"What does this mean, princess? What are you saying? War? Why? What is happening!" Twilight screamed.
"My student...Long ago...

"No...That can't be true..." Twilight was on the floor, her hooves covering her ears.
Celestia postitioned herself in an orderly fasion, before putting on a new set of eyes, and voice. She spoke in a commanding tone, "Get up everypony!" The group surprised, cowered in fear at her new attitude. "You six are the last hope of Equestria. My sister and I will be on leave to get help from neighboring countries. You six will be leading this country until I return. Is that understood?" Twilight got on her hooves, looking at the Princess with determination, yet a small sense of fear still flickering in her eyes. "You can count on us, Princess!"
"I'm glad Princess Sparkle." Celestia said, bowing her head, much to the surprise of Twilight.
"I hope you understand the preparations you must make..." Celestia said. Twilight nodded, before facing her friends.
"Rarity, I need you to make a flyer sent to every pony settlement in Equestria. It is to be a draft that forces all elligable ponies; colt, or filly to be transfered to the Equestrian National Army." Rarity nodded, before hopping off to her own job.
"Appl-

"Princess, what do we do about him?" Twilight asked, concerned for this situation.
"Do not worry young princess. I have sent the best of the best at my disposal to meet him head on. They will make sure this war ends quickly. However, there is always the possibility he will fail." Celestia said.
"Who did you send?" She asked.
"A small team of royal guards, lead by Burning Shine. I trust you have heard of him before?" Celestia asked.
"Heard of him?! He was my big brothers best friend! He was almost like a second brother to me.." Twilight trailed off, "It's good to see he's alive." For now... She thought, doubt filling her mind.
Slaughter
The Door Of Concordia
Isan approached the large steel door set in place before his path. There was no going around, since the rest of the border was covered by iron walls. Those wretched deer and their walls... Isan then suddenly ordered his armies of dead to halt. They did as commanded, looking around scanning the area for any living. "My children, you hunger for the flesh of the weak. As your father, it is my duty to feed you! Luckily, we have some visitors! Watch your backs, they are closer then we can imagine!" Isan shouted.
As if on que, Isan heard shrieks, and the tearing of flesh and bone. He smiled, not moving an inch. The Dark One moved toward the door, placing his hand upon it. The sound of twisting metal filled the air, as the door consumed itself, disappearing into nothingness. Beyond the door was deep forests, and a path leading to what Isan considered to be, the nearest city. He turned to his lieutenant, "Set up camp here. I am going to move on ahead, alone. Do not disappoint me." He growled, the skeletal warrior nodding before shouting orders to the mindless dead following them.
Isan turned around, summoning his steed. It appeared from the shadows of the trees, bursting out like it ran through a wall. Isan calmed it, getting himself on it. With a kick he was off into the dark forest. Half way in the forest, Isan had a near heart attack. His entire body felt like it was going to explode, pain flowing everywhere. "W-What...Is..This!?" He managed to get out, before being silenced by his masters voice.
My knight, I will grant you the last bit of my power that I can spare. You must hurry and resurrect Ponius, I can sense that you are near the well. Make haste my chosen knight, the sisters of sun and moon approach me every second we waste.
Isan grabbed his chest, coughing hard. "I understand, Master. I will make haste and see to it that I will make it to you in time." He kicked his dark steed before trotting off into the distance.

Droncan
Concordia
"Shine, are you sure he will make it in time? What if we get caught?" A deer said, clothed in blood red robes said.
"Have you no faith in what the princess said, Caidin? After all she has done for us? You should be thankful we are even being chosen for such a job." The sounds of clops could be heard in the distance, "His prince approaches. Stay quiet, I will handle this."
They all stood at the entrance of the village watching the shadow upon the steed approach slowly. As he got closer, Shine moved forward. "My Lord, we have eagerly awaited your arrival. We are at your command, tell us what you need." Shine bowed, showing a fake sense of respect.
"Don't be fooled by their trickery." A voice said, from beside Isan. He turned his head, seeing a shade of Ponius floating there. "Say nothing to me, young prince. They cannot see me, just for once do as I say." He coldly stated.
Isan nodded, "Where is the well? Show me it." The dark clothed beings nodded, heading the other direction. Isan followed, Ponius still floating by his side.
"They are frauds, young prince. They killed my ponies, taking their place, hoping to trick you. The princess of the sun sent them here to kill you. However, the master just can't have that." Isan lowered his brows a little deeper. "Let them lead you to the well, then kill them. Show no mercy, young prince. Remember, the Lich Kings' eyes are upon you." He said disappearing into the darkness.
After a long trek through the forest, they arrived at the mystical well. Isan got off his steed, walking toward the flowing waters in the center. The maelstrom in the center of the well endlessly churned. Isan held out his hand, the vial holding Poniuses ashes. The well was glowing yellow, green in the center. The lights changed, switching to different colors of the light spectrum. Satisfied with the situation, Isan turned around facing the fakers.
With a grin, Isan removed his hood for the first time to anyone. The shadows around his face dissipated, as he looked at Shine with his cold, heartless eyes. He held his hand up to his face, "Now!" He screamed, clenching his hand. The terrible sound of ghouls were heard, but the small group of deer and ponies were not fast enough. The dead leapt from the trees, rampaging through the small group, ripping apart their enemies. A moment short.
Shine looked around, terrifed at what he saw. His friends, comrades that he knew for years were slaughtered before his very eyes. "My Lord! What have you done?!" He panicked, still trying to fake his identity. Isan laughed, putting his hood back on his head. He slowly walked toward Shine, "You think you trick me, mortal? I saw through your plan from the start." Isan drew his Deathstone sword, which Aman'ku'zan created back at the fall of Fillydelphia. He lifted the unicorn off the ground, holding him by his neck. "Go ahead! DO IT! KILL ME!" Shine spurted out, trying to get some air in between his words.
Isan chuckled, "Kill you? Oh I don't think so...I'm going to have my precious fun with you. Perhaps this will teach you a lesson, as you watch your friends be raised from their slumber into mindless soldiers of the scourge." Isan laughed devilishly, raising his sword to the heavens. He grunted as a beam of light shot out in every direction. The light intensified until it flashed brightly. Shine opened his eyes. He wish he didn't. Isan laughed as he watched the suffering unicorn mourn at his crippled, mangled friends bodies standing before him. They dripped blood, and shot their heads out in random directions. Shine buried his head into the ground, sobbing deeply.
Isan, satisfied with his work, popped the cap of the vial. He thew it in the well, waiting for a few seconds. The ground started shaking intensely, causing some of the legs of the risen dead to snap, killing them. Isan cared nothing for the mindless dead, and focused his attention upon the situation at hand. The lights in the pool started pulsing, sending shockwaves through the air. The colors of the pool turned grey, with a mixture of red. The shaking increased as a hoof came out of the pool, gripping the side. Another hoof came out, doing the same. Together they pulled upwards revealing the reborn Ponius.
Ponius was shrowded in a cold, blue light. His bones were covered with scraps of clothing, forming into a long blue robe. His skull shook. A misty blue light seeping from his eye sockets. The undead unicorn trotted his way over to Isan, looking up at him. "Young prince, it is good to see you again." Isan returned the gaze, "As with you, Hu'zath."
Hu'zath nodded, recognizing the name his prince gave him. Hu'zath gazed at the terrified unicorn, too scared to move a muscle. "What of him?" He asked, his cold eyes starting into the soul of the poor helpless pony. Isan shrugged, "He is your responsibility now. I place you in control of my armies until I return. The Lich King needs me, so I must make haste. Take him and return to Fillydelphia. Place him prisoner under Aman'ku'zan. Make him suffer, but don't kill him. We might have use of him." Hu'zath nodded, "And remember, my eyes will soon be upon you. Wait for me." Isan said, opening a gate completely from shadow. He stepped through it, vanishing into the darkness of the night.
Hu'zath snapped from his train of thought, looking back at the unicorn. He approached the unicorn who lashed out at him. "Where are you taking me?" He asked, clearly afraid. The Lich laughed hard, his bones making the sound echo with intensity.
"Into the cold heart of death itself."
The wind howled, air blowing all around Isan. He stood at the base of the thrones pinnacle. He looked up at the wind currents carving the sides of the steps. He sighed, beginning his way up the steps. Every step he took, a past memory flashed through his mind. It stung his heart, damaging him deeply. His heart had become as hard as steel during his realization of his destiny. The whispers of his friends entered his mind, causing a wave of nostalgia to overflow. He missed them, but it was too late now. They could no longer be saved. As he pushed his way through the final set of stairs, the image of Pinkie Pie entered his mind. He had done all this to save her, but it was in naught. He was foolish to believe that he could save her. He realized on his journey that his master was correct. There was a way to save her, but only through the power of death.
With the final step completed, Isan stood before the frozen block of ice once more. The mad whispers of his master echoed through the chilly air.
The apple...
Destroy it....
Release....me....
From these chains!
Isan stepped forward, pulling out his sword. He removed the apple from his back pocket. Without a single thought, he crushed it in his hands. A shard of light flew outwards from the apple, flying off the side of the pinnacle. Isan paid no mind to it. Returning his attention back to the Kings prison he roared, swinging his sword down on the frozen prison. In an explosion of arcane energy, the block exploded, shards flinging everywhere. When the smoke cleared, Isan saw a figure sitting upon the throne. He immediately recognized it as the figure he saw in his vision. The Lich King. Isan took a kneel before the king.
"Good, my chosen knight. You have done well. Your king is pleased." He said.
Isan stood up from his kneeling position, much to the surprise of the Lich King. "I serve no king." Isan said, strutting up to the figure on the throne. With a quick motion, Isan retracted his wrist blade outwards, plunging it deep into the figures heart.
"W-hat are you doing, Isan?!" The King squirmed, not expecting this kind of betrayal. The King screamed as his body started to peal off in pieces of light flowing into the center of Isan's body.
Isan smiled devilishly, his voice slightly changing into a much deeper joined voice of both his and Discords, "There can be only one King of Darkness." With that said he thrusted his blade deeper into Discords disappearing body. In a blast he was gone, only small speckles of light floating around. Isan closed his eyes, feeling the new found power settling inside him. He was now a god, a god of death. Isan opened his eyes, which the raw power of the force shook the mountain top. His blue misty eyes were the only thing visible from inside the dark cloak which he wore.
Isan felt an unimaginable force of tiredness course through his body. He found himself barely able to stand, so he sat down upon his throne. Sitting upright, he felt the sleep take over his body, forcing himself into a state of deep slumber. As soon as his eyes were shut, the entire mountain range shook. The entrance to the mountains was closed due to avalanches, and the winds picked up much harder then before with the new appearance of the Lich King. Now nobody could enter the frozen abyss, not from anywhere, leaving the King to his slumber.
A/N: And this brings the close to Isan for a while. He will be asleep for a while, so what will happen while he is asleep? Only one way to found out...Next Chapter
6 Months later...
Canterlot City, Equestria
Twilight sighed, rubbing her head with her hooves to relief some of the stress storming her. The past six months had been tough. Getting the entire country to co-operate with their new leaders was hell. The sudden departure of the princess created havoc among some of the ponies. Twilight, and Rarity did their best as the political leaders to take control, but even with the Lich King, and the scourge sudden disappearance, his essence still flowed through the air. Groups and organizations started forming, plotting against the six elements in their quest to restore the country to peace. Civil Wars, and battles were fought between the two; slowly destroying their numbers. Rainbow Dash was given General of the Equestrian Army, fighting their wars against the revolting groups, and small invasions of the dead.
It was hard, but Twilight managed to take complete control. In order to protect her country, she ordered Applejack to build a wall around what was left of Fillydelphia. The armies of the dead destroyed the city, and built a new one from the ruins. The once beautiful forests around the city was now corrupted with plague, and disease. The wildlife was destroyed, and not a single pony was left alive. Many times Rainbow tried to take the city back, but her troops were killed by the plague, turning them into the into the scourge. She was forced to kill her own soldiers. She had no choice.
2 months ago she recieved a report from one of her scouts, that the dead completely vanished from Fillydelphia, yet the unholy presence they felt was still roaming. Rainbow ordered a search of the city, guarded by the new spell that protected them from the plague. Among the ruins they found the Lich Aman'ku'zan who they tried to interrogate. The Lich only laughed before attacking them. The battle was costly, as more than 70 ponies died trying to defeat the powerful undead sorcerer. At last the Lich was weakened were Rainbow herself delivered the final blow.
"At long last, you and your undead monstrosities are finally destroyed!" Rainbow yelled, tense.
The Lich only laughed, "My death means nothing! I am only a piece in the board game! You were a fool to come here...You have wasted time you could have been spent running. Now the specter of death looms over your cities, bringing nothing but the wrath of the scourge with it!" He howled.
Rainbow had enough, finishing him off with the final blow. As he dispursed into shadow his whispers were heard throughout the city. "My King...I have done my part...."
Rainbow grinned madly over the victory of her conquest. She believed that they had won, that the war was over. Twilights arcane order infiltrated the city, cleansing it of all its corruption. Many weeks passed, and the city was finally cured of its plague. The cleansing stopped the plague from spreading, but the scar left upon the lands will never be healed. Rainbow and her armies returned home, with the celebration of the age. Twilight believed they had won, as with the others. They established a new era of peace, declaring the end of the scourge.
Canterlot was bustling full of ponies, fireworks being shot everywhere and cheers of citizens celebrating the end of the darkness, and the beginning of a new age. The six that had fought so hard for the country, holding it together were sitting at the grand table in the throne room. It was a newly constructed for the six, seeing as how their princess was no longer with them. In the center of the table sat Twilight. A stern, concerned look on her face. The others were laughing, bumping hooves except for Rainbow, who kept a solid stone posture; unmoving.
Twilight played with her wine, not having much interest. She was happy the war was over, but something was bothering her. Something she couldn't explain. She felt a strong sense of uneasiness in her heart. One of her friends noticed her concerning attitude, "Princess? Is there something wrong?" Fluttershy asked.
Twilight frowned, "I told you never to call me that, Fluttershy. I am no princess, I couldn't even protect my own people."
Fluttershy looked down, "Sorry, Twilight..." She snapped back up, a face of determination over her. "You are a leader, Twilight. Without you and your guidence we would have been wiped out. We are forever in your debt." Fluttershy bowed.
The whole court noticed Fluttershys sign of respect, and did the same. In seconds the whole building was filled with ponies, their heads dropped in respect. Twilight saw this, and a single tear fell from the corner of her eye. Her heart filled with pride, and a sense of belonging. She smiled, telling everyone to rise. This was her first speech, one of many.
"Ponies of Equestria. I will never be more proud then today of you. The plague came unexpectadly, without warning. Yet, even with a new leader rising to the throne, you all stood together in the hour of cleansing. We stood together when Celestia abanded us, leaving for months without warning to let us rot. We stood together when the hordes of the dead attacked our villages, slaughtering our kind. They showed no mercy, killing everything in their path. Thousands were slaughtered and turned against us, some our friends and family. We were forced to do things we can never forgive ourselves for, but it was all needed for the greater good.
Once a peaceful country, now changed. We stood alone on this invasion, as our allies fled and hid in their cities. But we are ponies. We never run. We always fight the opposing force head on, no matter what the costs. We fight for the next generation to live on without fear of the dark threatening to destroy them. We fight to restore the grand element that has sustained us for all these years. The one element that allows us to live on without fear of death, without fear of eradication."
Twilight stepped down from the platform, walking into the center of the crowd. Her friends followed close behind, "And that my little ponies, is Harmony."
The crowd of mixed races, and colors cheered. They cheered and cheered as Twilight went alone to her bed room. She entered the hall, hearing the faint voices of cheering slowly fading. Her pride dropped a little, as the uneasiness returned. Entering her room, she looked out the window at the midnight sky. Her heart broke, realizing her once great mentor left her to die. That was 7 months ago, and it was so hard to be strong. She had been through so much. Twilight looked in the mirror and saw something different. She saw a great leader, a strong heart, and pride gleaming from her eyes.
"The war is over...But why won't you come home Celestia? We miss you...I miss you." Twilight whimpered. She felt tired, and sleep was the needed ingredient for her sickness. She climbed upon her bed. She sighed, closing her eyes, sleep quickly overcoming her.
2 Weeks later...
Twilight cried softly to herself as she stood before the grave of her brother. Right next to her brothers grave was Burning Shines grave. They named him one of the fallen due to his sacrifice. They never found either of their bodys though, and this disturbed Twilight even greater. Next to the two was her father and mother. They were killed while in their vacation in Fillydelphia. Twilight dropped her last flower, turning away from the graves. She closed her eyes tightly, clenching her teeth. She heard the whispers of her past flow through the air, but quickly threw them away. "This is it. It's just me now...My family is gone, I have no one left." She perked up a bit, "But they still need me. My country needs me. No. My family is still here. They are my family. Every single last one of them." She smiled, trotting away in a burst of light, disappearing into the early morning.
"Touching..."
The voice echoed, with a faint evil laugh.
Here she is... HERE
First few chapters take place a couple years after this one. All will make sense soon
The End is far from the Start
Expecting another chapter?
Well I thought about it for a while, and I've come to a small conclusion.
"Scourging of Equestria" is just a small buildup to show you what happens to Isan. I honestly messed up in many places, including plot and character development, but I'm not a pro at this, so forgive me on that half.
As you know by now from obvious circumstances, if there is a villain; there is a hero. I've thought hard on how I want this story to go down and I have to an idea of what must happen.
Many questions are asked. Such as what happened during the war against the dead? What of Twilight and the others? I will reveal those parts most likely during flashbacks of some sort, since I don't have the space nor time to write it.
Here's what I will leak: Equestria is weakened by the destruction of war against the dead, catching the attention of their infamous neighbors. With their devious beaks, they plan to rupture the hearts of their sister nation, ignoring the massive armies of the dead. However, that will be their final mistake, as they leave the defenses wide to the dead.
Equestria is in deep trouble, with not only the armies of their fallen comrades attacking them, but with the ruthless nation of Griffon attacking as well. Two new factions are born from the circumstances, but will they be able to settle old differences aside, to face the true threat?
As for the mysterious hero? You'll find him quite interesting, I'm sure.
