Heart Breaker the alicorn

It was a sunny day in Ponyville, spring was blooming and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. Some birds were chirping in the distance on some oak tree somewhere and the water fountain had been turned on once more. The clock tower bell suddenly crashed in a 'dong!' noise and the birds flow in fear. The bell chimed twelve times, stating it was now midday. The alicorn Heart Breaker gleamed with happiness and began walking toward Apple Acres, Applejack had told him to make it over there after midday for some surprise. It was the alicorn's birthday that day so everypony had been congratulating him. The alicorn had laughed and smiled all day, but secretly missed his home. Heart Breaker had come here for a better life, but had apparently endangered ponies in doing so. But now, there was no way to return home without more danger. Heart Breaker hadn't told anypony his true home, maybe Haze knew, but the Pegasus wouldn't tell. Haze was a good pony. It was a shame the Pegasus couldn't be there but Derpy was still in hospital and Bright Haze hadn't left her side for a minute, neither slept nor moved, only eating when Derpy did. Heart Breaker continued to walk, bumping into ponies who would say "hello Heart Breaker. Happy birthday!" Ponyville was much more friendlier than home and almost everypony knew him. Everypony knew everypony else here, it was all friendship and love here. Heart Breaker walked right into Doctor Hooves suddenly. The brown pony turned around quickly.

"Ah, Heart Breaker. Happy birthday dear boy. Where are you off to in such a rush?" The brown pony asked.

"I'm great Doctor, just off to the barn, there's a party, maybe you should drop by later." Heart Breaker replied.

"Ah. I see. Well maybe I might." The Doctor thought and laughed. "Well, don't be late for your own party, off you go boy." Heart Breaker gave a nod in thanks and trotted off. Vinyl Scratch was the next pony he walked past. The DJ shouted to Heart Breaker as the alicorn trotted along.

"Heart Breaker! Oh Heart Breaker!" The DJ shouted, Heart Breaker turned to look at the oncoming unicorn.

"Yes Vinyl?" He asked.

"Wait up bro. I'm your DJ. Can't leave me behind." She replied. Heart Breaker laughed, hadn't heard 'bro' in ages.

"No indeed not, can't be leaving the best DJ in Equestria behind now, can I?" Heart Breaker said. Vinyl blushed a little and the pair moved toward the barn some more.

"So, happy birthday." Vinyl said, making small talk. "Shame Haze ain't here for you." Vinyl said. Haze and Heart Breaker had become good friends and Heart Breaker had to admit he missed the pony a bit, but it couldn't be helped.

"Aye. Shame." Heart Breaker said.

"But it's your day today. Your celebrating a birthday." Vinyl said quickly, smiling as she did.

"Aye. Just hope Derpy will be okay." Heart Breaker said.

"She will be fine. Just focus on tonight and the damn party." Vinyl said.

The two walked for a few more minutes until finally they reached the barn. A black Pegasus called for Vinyl, her sound director and after a goodbye, Vinyl left Heart Breaker alone on the hill looking down on the barn, there were lanterns up but not turned on, being the middle of the day still. Heart Breaker wondered down to the barn to be greeted by Lez Dresdal. The Bloody Skulls captain who had disappeared along with the rest of the group after the battle at Canterlot, word had came that Nick and Steven would also appear, but nothing had been said of the Bloody Skulls leader.

"Lez? What the hell you doing here bro?" Heart Breaker found himself asking. Lez smiled at the alicorn and laughed.

"Won't be here long, just needed a few things." Lez said. Heart Breaker was saddened a bit that the captain wasn't here for his party. Or him at all. Which was to be expected Heart Breaker thought.

"Oh. Which would be?" Heart Breaker asked, less happy.

"Well, here for my friend on his fucking birthday of course!" Lez shouted and Heart Breaker laughed.

"Bastard, got me worried." Heart Breaker replied, then blushed when he realized he swore.

"I know. I still can't stay though, we are on a contract to deal with a Hydra based in the Everfree not far from here. Its why the others couldn't come." Lez explained. Heart Breaker nodded.

"Ah. I see. How long you here?" Heart Breaker asked.

"Well I heard about Derpy and Haze so I will head over there, then probably come back here for some cake later tonight but then I gotta go." Lez replied. Heart Breaker nodded again. "Happy Birthday though. I will be back later on. See ya." Lez said, Heart Breaker said goodbye and watched the pony gallop away.

Inside tables had been set up, lights hung up and a stage for the music had been put up. Heart Breaker instantly was shot out the door again due to the fact Pinkie Pie had just jumped on him.

"Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Heart Breaker. Happy birthday to you. I hope you have a cupcake. Happy birthday to you!" Pinkie sang, shoving a cupcake that had magically formed into Heart Breakers mouth. It was good. Really good. The other ponies walked out, Applejack and her family, Sweetie Bell, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo, Fluttershy, Twilight and Spike. All of them were here, but Haze, Derpy, Nick and Steven. As the thought left Heart Breakers mind a large crash was heard in the Everfree forest and the giant serpent which was Steven lambered out of the forest, ridden by Nick the knife himself.

"Happy birthday Heart Breaker." Steven said.

"Yeah, happy birthday." Nick added. Heart Breaker felt himself blush.

"Thank you guys. Thank you all." Heart Breaker said and looked to the ponies, dragon, serpent, and, well, the knife. Heart Breaker was so happy on this day, and the party hadn't even started yet.
