The Story of Starlight

Chapter 5

"You will pay for all you have put me through miss Starlight!" Chrysalis says full of rage.

Just as Starlight starts to charge three changelings come out of nowhere these were possibly summoned by the Queen herself.

"Hey thats no fair!" Says Starlight.

"Mm hm hm alls fair in love and war" Says Chrysalis.

As the three changeling speed toward Starlight she chooses the most obvious and predicted spell for this situation a time spell. This enables her to slow time slightly to give her an edge in a fight. starlight jumps on the first changeling to the second and hitting the third with her crystal tail but just as Starlight lands Chrysalis jabs her horn into Starlight. Starlight feeling the brutal pain screams out in agony. Chrysalis just holds her up and laughs this was a mistake because Starlight pushes herself off of Chrysalis landing helplessly on the floor. Chrysalis walks over to finish the job and end the poor foals life for good.

"To think I actually thought you were going to be a challenge to me hahaha I was wrong. If you had just given up the first time we fought you would have lived and you would have been my little misfit changeling foal instead of Celestia's defect." Chyrsalis says putting her face into Starlight's thus spitting all over her.

These few words were enough to make Starlight mad her coat turns whites and her eyes grow black she is also enveloped in a black fireline. Starlight zaps Chrysalis with a lightning spell sending her flying upward.

"You shut up! Celestia loves me very much!" Starlight screams.

"Oooh I obviously hit a nerve there. Now tell me child has she ever tried to show interest in you. Because she certainly wasn't showing an interest in you when she was taking care of me." Chrysalis says now standing only a few feet from Starlight.

"I SAID SHUT UP" Starlight says screaming at the top of her lungs.

Starlight slams Chyrsalis into the wall of one of the canterlot homes she then unleashes a barrage of attacks with her tail and magic spells. Starlight continued to do this for 2 minutes until Princess Cadence and Princess Twilight Sparkle pull her off the Changeling Queen. Starlight turns around hugging Cadence tears flowing freely.

"I-i think I'll be l-leaving now. Goodbye Starlight hehhehe" Chrysalis says as she teleports away.

The others don't care as they try to comfort Starlight the best they can. Starlight returns to normal but she falls asleep from the emotional outbreak she endured. As the two Princesses carry them up to her room and lay her to bed Celestia summons all the Princesses to a meeting.

"I have called everypony here for a reason that you all should be aware of." Says Celestia.

It became very silent until Princess Luna spoke up.

"We need to get Starlight out of the castle and away from her mother." Luna explained.

"But why?" Twilight asked.

"I know why." Cadence says as she chimes into the meeting.

"I can't keep Starlight here shes having too many issues with who she is. I can tell this from the way shes acts and what she does. Shes having trouble accepting me as her mother and shes confused on how shes supposed to act." Celestia explained

"How is she confused on her behavior?" Twilight asks puzzled.

"Shes having trouble deciding whether to act like responsible mare or a newborn foal and it seems like shes pushing to being a foal more than a mare at times. But the main thing is we are afraid the she will hurt my sister or hurt herself." Luna explains.

"Because she has no social skills she doesn't know the proper way off confronting her feelings toward me. We need her to develop a sense of friendship like you did Twilight." Says Celestia.

"Me? But I'm a normal pony not Starlight." Says Twilight.

"Which is why I must ask you and your friends to help her develop herself in the way that she needs to be developed." Celestia says.

Twilight sits there nervous knowing all the eyes are on her.

"I'm sure its nothing we they wouldn't be able to handle." Twilight says with confidence.

"Good now I'll go get Starlight up and so she can start to pack." Celestia says getting up.

But just as quickly as she gets up she is sat back down.

"Allow me sister dear." Luna says.

Luna walks all the way up to Starlight's room only to find the diapered foal out of her bed and on her balcony overlooking Canterlot. Luna steps outside where a fresh pack of icy wind hits her but she ignores and sits down next to the poor little foal who is trying not to shiver. Luna puts her wing around her.

"I'm a monster. I almost killed somepony." Starlight says.

This shocks Luna hearing it come from her sisters daughters mouth.

"Your not a monster trust me I've been one myself. Plus the thing you attacked wasn't a pony and it wasn't good." Luna says trying to raise the young fillies spirits.

"Yea well I won't be surprised if my mother sends me to the moon like she did with you." Starlight says.

"Starlight!" Luna says shocked

"It's true! I'm no foal I might wear a diaper but I'm just a defect! I've read books on foals but I know nothing about being one!" Starlight says angered.

"So that's what this is about. You were jealous of the Celestia caring for Chyrsalis when she was a foal instead of you." Luna says.

"Yes. I wanted to be the one being changed, fed, and put to bed. I want my life to start out normal not like this!" Starlight's saying tearing up.

"Starlight." Luna says in a low tone.

"It isn't far Luna! It just isn't fair!" Starlight yells slamming her hoof into the ground causing cracks to emerge.

"Starlight please stop! I know how you must feel." Luna says trying to calm her down.

"No you don't! You might have been Nightmare Moon once but that's nowhere near as bad as what I am!" Starlight screams with full blown tears.

"Your right I don't know how you feel but I know inside you there is a part of you that is good." Luna says.

"Is there? Because I certainly don't see it." Starlight says lowering her voice.

"Yes there is now come here." Luna says holding out her hooves.

Starlight jumps into her hooves crying while Luna pats her back as she cries.

"Now Starlight you have to listen to me." Luna says put Starlight into eyes view.

Starlight sniffles slightly.

"You must pack up your things." Luna says.

"W-what?" Starlight asks feeling another wave of tears coming on.

"You are going to go with Twilight so she can help you get better at some um things. It's only for a week." Luna explains.

"O-ok" Starlight says as she starts to gather up her things.

Luna walks over to the changing table Celestia had put in for Starlight. She takes out a pack diapers and a portable changing pad. She hooves these things to Starlight who sheepishly takes them.

"You should wear them during the day too. Just to be safe." Luna says.

As Starlight packs up she looks at Luna who appears to be smiling.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" Starlight asks.

"Sorry you remind of me when I was younger. The diapers and the sucking your hoof at night and-" Luna is cut off by Starlight.

"How did you know I suck my hoof at night!?" Starlight demanded.

"I know because I've come to check on you when your asleep. I've beginning to worry more and more about you Starlight. I've seen your most recent nightmares and I need to know...Are you ok?" Luna asked trying to get some answers out of her sisters daughter.

Starlight looks down afraid to tell Luna anything.

"I-i've been having nightmares about her....Nightmare Moon." Starlight says her voice full of fear.

"I know Starlight but why?" Luna says pressing the young silly for answers.

"B-because she scares me and sometimes I wake up crying that's why I suck my hoof at night. It makes me feel safer. I'm sorry Luna don't tell Celestia!" Starlight says begging Luna.

"I won't but please try to have fun with Twilight and her friends please. All I want is for you to be happy and I know you mother does too." Luna says.

Starlight walks past Luna saying nothing more feeling that she has said too much. Princess Celestia and Princess Luna see Starlight off. Once she is gone Luna grabs her sisters attention.

"Sister?" Luna asks.

"Yes Luna is something wrong?" Celestia asks.

"We need to talk about Starlight." Luna says.

As Starlight takes her flight she wobbles slightly. She couldn't fly straight thinking too much about her talk with Luna. She kept thinking till she felt a hoof on her shoulder.

"Starlight?" Twilight asks.

Starlight snaps out of it.

"huh what?!" Starlight says shaking her head.

"Were here." Twilight says.

Starlight lowers herself to the ground of a very familiar town.

"This...This was where I was before I was taken to the castle. When I came out of that forest and a guard here took me to Celestia." Starlight says recalling her past.

"It's Ponyville. This is where I learn all about the magic of friendship and where I met my good friends. I believe you've already met one. Celestia told me you met Fluttershy a long time ago." Twilight says.

"I did. She was....nice" Says Starlight looking to the ground.

Starlight walked alongside Twilight through Ponyville. As she walked she got many weird stares it wasn't from her diaper because she made sure to cover that with a dress, but it was the fact that she had a horn and a set of wings and the fact that she was wearing the element of magics tiara on her head. The walk seemed to go on forever till the duo stepped into a house that was made of frosting and all sorts of sweets. Starlight licked her lips never having anything sweet before mostly because she never had the time. Once she entered she saw a group of ponies sitting there. It looked like they had been waiting for quite some time. Once they saw Twilight they all jumped to meet her Starlight however was not eager to meet them instead she started to back up slowly Twilight took notice of this and proceeded to introduce Starlight to her friends.

"Guys this is Starlight the ponies I told you about." Twilight says bringing Starlight closer.

"I thought you said she was a foal." Says rarity confused.

"I'll explain later but Starlight these are my friends. Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and you've already met Fluttershy." Twilight says pointing to each friend.

"U-um h-hi?" Starlight says shyly.

"Hi!" Pinkie says jumping up closer only to scare Starlight away.

Twilight giggles slightly.

"Starlight you don't have to be afraid! They won't hurt you!" Twilight says cheerfully.

As soon as Starlight got to the candy house she just as soon had to leave. Twilight took her to her library which she still lives in every now and then.

"Make yourself at home." Twilight says

Starlight says nothing but hops straight into bed for the sun was lowering and moon was rising. Twilight noticed this and did the same taking off her armor and dress then hoping into bed. Starlight final falls asleep after a few minutes.

Starlight wakes up to find herself lying on black ground it was empty nothing but blackness as far as she could see. She gets up on her hooves and tries to find some indication of life or at least a different color.

"Mm hm hm"

Starlight jerks her head around looking for source of the sound. All of sudden a chill goes down her spine as she turns around to find Nightmare Moon standing behind her.

"Well well well look who it is the daughter of Celestia." Nightmare Moon says with a sinister smile.

"L-leave me alone I-I'm not scared of you!" Starlight says trying to stay tough.

Nightmare Moon says nothing but tackles Starlight making her shoot up in her bed she was covered in cold sweat. The lights were on and in front of her was Twilight who was giving Starlight a worried look.

"Starlight are you ok?! I heard you sobbing in your sleep." Says Twilight genuinely concerned for the foal.

"I..." Starlight couldn't seem to manage to get the words only stutter.

"Its nothing. I'm just gonna go back to bed." Starlight says crawling back under the covers.

Twilight leaves the room too tired to press the matter but she couldn't help worrying about the pony. Starlight spent the rest of the week learning about each of the elements and how they tied into being a good social pony. Starlight learned a lot and was satisfied with her growing results. Though every night Starlight was caught waking up sobbing and sucking her hoof she just shook it off. There was a point where Twilight suggested taking Starlight home but Starlight refused to leave. But by the end of the week Starlight said her goodbyes and headed back to Canterlot. It was night when they had arrived and Starlight was surprised to find Luna and Celestia waiting for her at the castle gate. She had read in recent letters that they both had a surprise for her when she got back and the excitement was killing her.

"Welcome home Starlight." Celestia says with a big smile.

Starlight runs up and hugs her mother who was shocked by the behavior.

"It feels soooo good to be home! Now whats this present I keep hearing about!" Starlight blurts out.

"Well here isn't an appropriate place to give it too you. Shall we got to your room where it's a little more private?" Says Celestia.

Starlight says nothing but runs up to her room her mother and Luna not far behind. Once she gets to her room she takes off her bag and out of habit tries to take off the elements of harmony which still won't come off. But they felt slightly warm almost alive. Celestia and Luna enter the room to find the foal bouncing off the walls with excitement.

"Settle down you silly filly. Now Luna has told me about you sleeping issue while you were gone." Celestia says.

Starlight stops dead in her tracks afraid.

"I'm sorry mommy I didn't mean to it just made me feel safe and I-" Starlight was hushed by Celestia's hoof.

"I'm not mad but we did have something made for you." Celestia says.

Celestia pulls out a pink transparent pacifier that was tied to a black ribbon necklace. Starlight looks at it confused and slightly shocked.

"What is that?" Starlight asks.

"This is a pacifier foals use them to fall asleep or to stop crying. It helps them feel safe." Celestia explains while levitating the pacifier around Starlights neck then putting it together with the easy break clip belt in the back.

"I had it custom made for you. Luna and I hope that it will help you at night. Now you don't have to use it but we thought it was a simple solution." Celestia says.

"I don't know what to say but." Starlight says.

Starlight runs up and hugs Celestia.

"Thank you mommy!" Starlight says.

"Your welcome sweetie." Celestia says embracing the hug.

"Now get a diaper on and get ready for bed. You and me have a big day tomorrow." Celestia says.

Starlight jumps into bed waiting for her mother to wish her a good night. Celestia simply comes over and kisses Starlight's forehead then leaves. Starlight was excited to try out the pacifier she puts it in her mouth what she immediately noticed was the how much more full her mouth her hoof would only go a little ways in but the pacifier filled her entire mouth she wasn't complaining it felt perfect but Starlight had become so excited that she was restless. She jumps out of her bed the cold air hitting her but she didn't care Starlight sneaks out of her room and down the staircase. she takes the pacifier out her mouth.

"I wonder if I can sleep with mommy!" Starlight says happily bounding off to her mothers room.

When Starlight get to the room she peaks her head inside to find the lights off and her mother already sleeping. Starlight shrugs and walks out the main castle doors heading into the night streets of canterlot. Starlight trots through the streets her pacifier dangling from her neck and her diaper crinkling with every step she wasn't worried about anypony seeing her all she felt was curiosity and a slight itch to play with somepony. She wandered on until she heard a clang behind her and felt parts of her body become cool. She turns around to find the Elements of Harmony had fallen off Starlight ignores them and moves on leaving the priceless artifacts laying on the ground. It wasn't till a familiar dragon like creature stops Starlight from her adventure.

"My my what do we have here?" Says Discord.

Starlight looks up to the creature and smiles.

"Hwi I'm starwight! Will you pway with me?" Starlight says giving Discord a cute stare.

Discord inspects Starlight and notices the horn and wings he isn't shocked more curious than anything.

"Of course! But first could you please tell me where your from?" Discord asks.

Starlight points to the castle.

"I see... I must be off." Discord says in a quick manner then flying away.

Starlight tries to chase after him but stumbles and falls on her face. Starlight hurt from the ground and losing her playmate in less than 5 minutes begins to cry really loud waking up half of Canterlot in the process. Ponies walk out of their homes tired and groggy to figure out what the horrible noise was. Once they find Starlight sitting on the ground crying her eyes out they surround her confused on what to do. Starlight takes notice and looks all around her as she looks other fillies and colts hide behind their parents. Starlight tries to get up and walk over to somepony hoping for warming hug or some kind of comfort but the ponies just back up.

"Do you know where my mwommy is?" Starlight asks sniffling.

No pony answer but just stares at Starlight like she is mentally crazy. It wasn't until Celestia lands behind Starlight did everypony stop staring.

"Starlight." Celestia says sternly like a command for a dog.

Starlight turns around to see Celestia. Discord appears out of nowhere right beside her.

"I told you she was here." Discord says claiming his victory.

"So it seems. Come here Starlight." Celestia says in a soothing almost motherly tone.

Starlight happily bounds over to her mother overjoyed to have found her again. Celestia had taken notice of Starlight's lack of the Elements of Harmony and glances around for them. She spots them a little ways down the street laying in the dust.

"Discord take Starlight back to the castle. I will handle the Elements of Harmony." Celestia says breaking Starlight from her hoof.

Starlight tries to follow her mommy but is levitated up by Discord.

"Ah ah I think tia her wants some time to herself don't you think?" Says Discord.

Starlight's expression saddens.

"But but shwe my mwommy! I wanna go with my mwommy!" Starlight says reaching for Celestia.

Discord says nothing but takes Starlight back to the castle where Luna is waiting.

"Shes all yours." Says Discord dropping Starlight in Luna's hooves.

"Starlight where have you been?! What happened to the Elements of Harmony?!" Luna says worried.

"They're right here." Celestia says levitating the strongest weapons in equestria in front of her little sister.

Luna goes to touch them but Celestia levitates them away.

"I wouldn't they have a nasty shock to them." Celestia says.

Starlight sees her mother and jumps out of Luna's hooves to greet her.

"Mwommy! You came bwack!" Starlight says happily.

Celestia rubs her head.

"I think we should get inside so we can figure out whats going on." Says Celestia.

Before anypony could say anything there was a loud snore that drowned out the conversation. All three look down to find Starlight curls up on her mothers leg sucking on her pacifier asleep.

"Well maybe we should put her to bed first." Luna says.

Celestia hooves the elements off to Luna then takes Starlight up to her room.

"Starlight what is going on with you. First the elements now this." Celestia says to herself.

Celestia leaves Starlight to her sleep and goes to find Luna studying the elements.

"It's time isn't it?" Luna asks taking her gaze from the elements to her sister.

Celestia sighs.

"Soon but not now. She isn't ready and we will only allow her to do it with her consent, but for now let her be she's going to be very busy tomorrow after she hears about tonight and very embarrassed. Now go back to bed." Celestia says going back to sleep.

Starlight wakes up to the crisp cool air of the outdoors she sits up her head pounding and her diaper soaked. Starlight takes it off and puts a new one on not caring who saw her at this point she remembered everything from last night and she did not want to see anypony. Starlight puts a long stretchy black fabric that helps hide her wings, Starlight then proceeds to jump off her balcony and fly off towards whenever the wind would take her. She didn't want to face her mother not now. Starlight flew over Ponyville hoping to find a nice secluded spot she could hide.

"I am sick this! One problem after another." Says Starlight.

Starlight sees 5 ponies below her 3 of them appeared to be getting bullied. Starlight sighs and lands behind.

"Hey! Leave those fillies alone!" Starlight says.

"Who are you?" Diamond Tiara
