Chapter 2- Meeting of the Minds

Chapter 2

Rainbow Dash was slowly flying through the clouds, enjoying the beautiful sights and wonder of Equstria. She flew over a mountain and nearly started crying. The path to Couldsdale was blocked by a massive thunderstorm. " NO NO NO NO NO", yelled RD. "This cannot be happening, the one day I get to go hang out with the Wonderbolts, it decides to F*** STORM!!!"" She eyes the storm with a careful eye. Normally, Pegasus’s are not able to go through storms because of the lightning and the rain the makes their wings wet and unable to fly. BUT I AM RAINBOW DASH, THE BEST FLIER IN ALL OF EQUSTRIA. IF I CAN'T DO IT, THEN NO ONE CAN. She took a deep breath, and flew as fast as she could into the cloud.

Lightning was going off right near RD as she thought to herself," I really really really shouldn’t have done this". She tried to turn around and go back, but had gotten lost in the cloud. Then, a break in the storm appeared and she flew as fast as she could to it.

She was about it escape when a lightning bolt struck her and she started falling down to the evergreen forest.

As Rainbow Dash blinked in and out of conscious, she saw the ground getting closer, but she could not move her wings, they were too wet.

Her life flashed before her as she got closer and closer. She prepared herself for her death.

And with that thought, she hit a tree, bounced off it and landed on her wing.

She heard a stomach wrenching "snap" and then felt the worst pain of her entire life.

As she began to lose conscious, she thought she saw a big blur coming towards her. And then she was out...

Matt Acton was not having a good day.

1st, he had failed his English final and now would probably have to repeat his junior year.

2nd, his girlfriend of 1 year left him because she was suddenly "into girls", and

3rd he had been randomly teleported to a strange world with mythical beasts and giant sea or river dragons and a apparent lack of anything human.

There was 1 thing that he thought was something good that happened to him.

When he got teleported, he was getting his tent set up for camping when he suddenly felt like he was a giant rubber band and ended up here.

He was a good camper, and he had arrived next to a large overhang, so he deiced to camp for a night there and then setoff the next day to find out where the hell he was.

He finally got his camp set up, and was fishing when a blue Pegasus with rainbow highlights fell about 100 feet away.

“Um, What… The... Hell... Just... Happened...”

He went over to her and found out that it was knocked out cold. Its wings were also at a weird angle and 1 of her legs was splayed in a way that would have made an acrobat jealous." Well, I better go take it back to my... well cave."

Rainbow Dash was having the worst dream of her life. She was dreaming a giant biscuit is attacking her and she was suddenly trapped.

The thing close to her and she screamed and woke up. She was lying on a bed that was not the most comfortable she had ever slept on.

She looked around and saw that somepony had a fire going and that there was a black and gold jacket lying next to her. She tried to get up, but almost fell over.

She looked at her legs and almost started crying. One of them was clearly broken, but it was in a strange web of wood and string, preventing her from moving it from side to side. The other one looked fine.

She was about to look at her wings when the most bizarre creature she had ever seen walked into the cave. It was massive, about 6 feet tall, and looked well built.

It was carrying some wood in its arms and dropped it in a pile close to the fire.

“Um, Hello?" Rainbow Dash asked the creature. Matt almost fell into the fire as he backed up." YOU CAN TALK, WHAT FRENCH HELL IS THIS" (lol could not resist)".

"OF COURSE I CAN TALK, BUT HOW DO YOU KNOW EQUSTRAIN" Rainbow Dash yelled. “That’s it, I either high, drunk, dead or in a coma, 1st I get teleported here, now I am being yelled at by a 3 foot horse. ”Matt remarked

“That’s Pegasus, Thing" RD said rudely. Matt gave her a look that sent shivers down her spine.

“Okay, 2 little bits of advice, 1 my name is Matt, and 2, that’s no way to talk to the "thing" that saved your life", Matt huffed." Wait, what do you mean saved my life".

"You fell out of the sky, hit a tree, and broke your 2 wings and 1 of your legs. I found you and brought you back here and reset the bones in your wings, and put a splint on your legs, and you have also been asleep for the past 24 hours", Matt said in a voice of reason.

Rainbow Dash looked shocked and then the events of yesterday came back into her mind. "Oh god, I lost the one chance to live my dream, “she thought to herself. " Well, do you have any friends that live around here"? Matt asked.

Rainbow Dash suddenly perked up."  My friend Fluttershy lives about 3 hours from here, could you take me there?" “Sure, well I better get ready then."

Matt got ready and picked up the Pegasus and began the long journey to Fluttershys cottage.

About half way on the journey to Fluttershys, it dawned to Rainbow Dash that she had acutely used manners.

Wow, I really must have hit my head hard. She gave an evil smirk and decided to mess with Matt.

She suddenly gasped and stuck her tongue out, pretending to be dead.

Matt almost fell over and started to do C.P.R on the unsuspecting Pegasus. "WHOA WHOA WHOA, dude relax i was just messing with you".

She began laughing so hard that she started to cough her lungs out. "HA HA, REALLY FUNNY" Over the next hour, she kept joking and teasing the poor human.

As they were about to leave the forest, a massive "thing" jumped out in front of them. "A MANTICORE!!" Rainbow Dash yelled. Matt jumped back and almost droped Rainbow Dash.

The Manticore hit them and Matt and Rainbow Dash flew off in different directions.

Rainbow dash landed in a bush, and just laid there, not believing her how bad her luck is.

Then she looked over where Matt had landed yelled “NO, FLUTTERSHY HELP!!".

He was slumped against a tree, a massive gash in his chest and he was not moving.

The Manticore approached him and was about to finish him off, when a voice yelled," WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING"!

It was Fluttershy. "GET AWAY FROM HERE AND NEVER COMEBACK"! She was using "The Stare" and the Manticore slowly turned away and left.

She saw that Fluttershy was not alone, but she fell asleep before she could find out whom.
