Twilight's Magic

Previous Chapter

Photo belongs to Aisu Isme as always

Twilight Sparkle paced back and forth across the library in utter frustration. Spike had retreated to the bedroom to spare himself any harm from the irritated unicorn. Lately most of her friends had gone missing save for Rainbow Dash who was still in the hospital undergoing magical treatment from the unicorns. But the rest, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack and Rarity were all missing.

“What to do what to do?”

Twilight paced across the library until she stopped in front of a mirror. She stared into it and tilted her head a little to the side. Her mind was already formulating a plan. Quickly, she encased a nearby book in her magical purple aura and floated the book in front of her, flipping it open. She placed a hoof on a certain page in particular.

Twilight read the page. It said that a unicorn had to blast herself in the eyes and he or she would be able to see anywhere in equestria. Absolutely anywhere. Twilight thought about it, the spell was dangerous, too little magic and you’d get blinded, too much magic and you’d blast your face off.

“Should I? Maybe I shouldn’t- Ugh! Forget about it. My friends could be in danger!”

Twilight placed herself in front of the mirror and lowered her horn. She took deep breaths and charged up all the magic she could muster. She held it in as long as she could to build it up, then she blasted.

Upstairs, Spike had fallen asleep. He was snoring ever so peacefully, until a loud crash and the shattering of glass came to his attention. He jumped up in fright and landed back into his bed. He climbed out from under his covers and ran towards the ladder.

The purple dragon slid down the ladder and ran over to the lavender unicorn who had managed to drag herself over to a corner and bury her face in her forelegs where a puddle of blood was starting to form. Spike was hesitant to move any closer to the mare, but he mustered enough courage to step forwards and poke her on the shoulder.

“T-Twilight, are you o-okay?” Spike stuttured

Twilight turned around and looked at her assistant. Her eyes were nothing but two dark voids with blood practically gushing out of them. Her horn was dangling on her forehead, threatening to fall off any second, and to top it all off, blood was dripping out the sides of her mouth.
