Thor stood in Celestia's throne room, as the princess decided what to do. Luna stood by her sister's side as Thor kept looking out the window toward the crater in the garden. No one had been able to lift the hammer that sat in that crater. Celestia had even ordered 20 of her guards to move it, but it would not budge even an inch.

Celestia was no fool. She knew this hammer was of great importance and also knew that there was more to the griffon before her than what met the eye. After thinking about this long and hard, Celestia finally came to a decision that would hopefully solve this unusual problem.

"Seeing as how you have committed no crime I will not imprison you." The white alicorn said, causing Thor to look over at her.

"However I am afraid that since you seem to know much more about the hammer....

"Mjolnir." Thor said, emphasizing the word with a slight growl, cutting the Princess off.

"Um, yes. Since you seem to know more about Mjolnir than we do and as it has proven to be a most curious object, I cannot let you leave the castle until you have answered my questions regarding both it and yourself." The Solar Princess finished as the Asgardian simply sighed.

"What is it thou wish to know?" Thor queried.

"Well, for starters, where are you really from? I know of Asgard, but I also know it is merely a mythical realm that the griffons of old believed in. As such I'm afraid I cannot take your word on that." Celestia said.

"What I hath told thee is true. I am indeed from Asgard. I am Thor the God of Thunder, Son of Odin, and the mightiest warrior in all the nine realms!" Thor said confidently, his voice booming with pride. The Sisters of the Day and Night however were not convinced.

"I'm afraid we simply can't accept that as an answer, so until you are ready to answer us truthfully you will not be allowed to leave the castle grounds." The white alicorn said as she then left Luna to show Thor to a spare room, then left to head back to bed. The Night Princess lead the Asgardian to a high tower, usually reserved for visiting griffon dignitaries.

"We hope this shall be to thine liking." Luna said as Thor looked around. The Asgardian was stunned, having expected to be put into a dungeon or cell during his stay.

"Thank thee, milady. I shall repay this kindness, so swears the Son of Odin!" Thor proclaimed, holding his head high. Luna was about to leave, when her curiosity got the better of her.

"You hath mentioned this Odin before. Who is he?" Luna asked as Thor walked over to the balcony and looked up at the stars. The Asgardian sighed in a mixture of frustration and weariness.

"Odin is the Allfather. It is through him that Asgard lives and he is its rightful king." Thor answered. Luna rolled her eyes, still not believing the griffon's claim of being from the mythical world.

"We see. Well then, we shall leave thee to thine rest Thor." Luna said as she took her leave and closed the door with her magic. Thor walked over to the bed and laid down, the events of the past few hours having drained the god mentally. He was asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.

Thor groaned as he awoke the sound of his door being knocked on. The room he had was spacious enough to be quite comfortable, though the different architecture made him yearn for his home even more. Dragging himself out of bed, he went over to the door, the pony behind it still knocking rather insistently. Thor opened the door, only to be knocked in the face with a hoof. The hit did little but shock the Asgardian, but the same could not be said for the one that struck him.

"OW! What are you made of?!" The pony asked as he shook his hoof to ease the pain shooting through his hoof. Thor looked at the pony before him. It was a unicorn with a white coat and a blue mane and tail with the symbol of a shield emblazoned on his flank.

"What is thine reason for awakening me mortal? It hath better be of grave importance for thine own sake." Thor said, very much annoyed.

"Princesses Celestia and Luna have requested your presence for breakfast this morning. I'm here to escort you to the dining hall." The pony said in an official manner. At this moment Thor's stomach growled, reminding the Asgardian that he had not eaten for a good time since his banishment.

"Fortunately for thou I am in need of sustenance. Lead the way mortal!" Thor commanded in an arrogant tone. The unicorn before him didn't take too kindly to the tone the griffon and said,

"I'm the Captain of the Guard and I only take orders from the Princesses, not griffons with over inflated egos." Thor glared at the pony and felt his blood beginning to boil.

"Hold thy tongue mortal! The God of Thunder shall not be spoken to in such a manner!" Thor all but shouted as he began to flap his wings so that he might look down upon the unicorn.

"You're basically a prisoner. I can talk to you anyway I want." The unicorn said, his voice calm yet with an edge to it.

"HAVE AT THEE!" Thor yelled as he tackled the unicorn in front of him.

"I wonder were Shining Armor is with our guest." Celestia pondered aloud as she ate a spoonful of oatmeal.

"Indeed. It is unlike the good Captain to be tardy." Luna said as she sipped some tea. Suddenly the door to the dining room opened and in walked Thor, an unconscious Shining Armor laying on top of him.

"My apologies miladies, but thine Captain required a lesson in speaking to royalty." Thor said as he tossed the unicorn off him and took his seat at the table. To say Celestia and Luna were shocked would be an understatement. Shining Armor was Captain of the Guard for a reason, his magical prowess not too far behind his sister's, so the fact he was defeated and that Thor did not have so much as a scratch on him was cause for alarm.

However, Celestia was patient and figured Shining probably did insult Thor in someway as the griffon carried himself the way royalty would, so Celestia chose to ignore the incident for now.

"SERVANTS! I REQUIRE SUSTENANCE! BRING FORTH THE MEAD AND MUTTON!" Thor bellowed, rivaling the Royal Canterlot Voice in sheer volume. The room filled with an awkward silence shortly after the outburst.

"We knoweth what mead is, though we do not have any here at the castle, but pray tell what is mutton?" Luna asked, causing Thor to groan.

"Oh yes. I forgot, thou art ponies. Very well, bringest me something large and filling." The Asgardian said dejectedly. The servants brought him a large salad that, while not what he wanted, Thor dug into it heartily. He finished the salad in almost record time before ordering another. After twenty minutes, Thor had eaten 20 salads as Celestia and Luna watched on in shock and partial disgust at how he fast he was able to down the food.

"Another!" Thor ordered, as Luna leaned over to her sister and whispered,

"Where dost he put it all sister?"

After lunch Thor wanted to go to the garden to try and lift Mjolnir again. Celestia and Luna had to attend to royal business, so they had a guard follow Thor to make sure he stayed within the castle grounds.

The pony that accompanied Thor was a pegasus, with a golden mane and coat that had a black cloud with a blue lightning bolt for a cutie mark. He also matched Thor's well muscled physique. Thor could tell a warrior when he saw one and said,

"I can tell thou art a true warrior. Tell me, what is thine name mortal?" The guard kept walking as he said,

"Beta Ray Bill." Thor nodded as they soon reached the crater where Mjolnir still sat. Thor flew down and tried to lift it, but yet again was unable to. Beta Ray Bill was curious now. Once Thor stepped aside, the pegasus flew down and stared at the hammer.

"Do not waste thine time mortal. Many of your fellow warriors have attempted to lift Mjolnir and all have failed. If Thor cannot lift Mjolnir, what hope do you have?" The Asgardian said as the pegasus simple followed the griffon after casting one last look at the hammer.

"Sister, what are we going to do with that griffon? This delusion of his hath become quite tiresome very quickly. And with Cadence's wedding fast approaching, it may not bode well to have a mad griffon running to and fro through the castle."

Luna said as Celestia penned a letter. The Solar Princess looked at her sister from the corner of her eye and replied,

"That is precisely why I'm sending for Twilight Sparkle and her friends. If anything they'll at least provide a distraction for Thor and perhaps Twilight can help him get over his grandiose delusions."

Celestia then sent the letter off to a certain purple dragon.
