Chapter 1: the beginning and possibly the end.
The Dawn of a new day,
Chapter 1 Celestia’s wishful wonders
I ran into the Ever free forest I kept running I found a pond and sat down staring into the nearby water it was shimmering the nearby forest seemed to stretch on for miles which it probably did it was like a wall of woods I started to cry tears were dropping into the pond, at this rate it would be a river. I wish I could stop I wish I could just fly away. I soon fell asleep wallowing in my own tears. Waking up it was dark to dark to see too dark to think, he was whimpering afraid to move he knew that all the nasty things came out at night. He started to walk into the dark cold woods the trees seemed to leer at him. He sat on his haunches and let out a sigh, his ears flopped down and the breath had carried in the cold air misting. A beautiful sight in this despairing forest he stood up feeling stronger than ever feeling brave for once his eyes gleamed in the darkness his green and black mane barely visible within the inches of vision. He started walking, then trotting then full speed gallop he was happy alone unfettered by the problem he was faced with until, WHAM! He hit a tree going off on the tangent in his head he hadn’t noticed the big tree, he felt warm liquid form around his muzzle he was bleeding it didn’t hurt but it was just bleeding, he heard a Growl a bloodcurdling Growl, glowing eyes pierced the night air, a thing strolled out I already know what it is its very sharp tail moving in a seductive pattern from being an outcast Green dawn had read almost every book he could get his hands on, meaning he knew exactly what that was.
A shadow stalker no one really knew anything about them because only one stallion lived to tell the tale and that was ages ago, and even so he didn’t speak of it, or at least that’s what the book had said it started walking slowly, Green dawn slowly paced backwards although he had it’s attention already he could maybe slip into the forest that was to no avail, the next step he took he was pounced the ugly beast smelled Green dawn the it withheld breath and went to bite, Green dawn closed his eyes his life up to that point seemed to flash from the sad existence from wish stars immediate torture when Green dawn arrived, another burst of strength surged through Green dawn he wasn’t going to be put down by this thing, he rolled onto his stomach scrunched up to get out of its grasp the thing behind him, he decided “CLUNK” he kicked it in its ugly face it went reeling but not for long Green dawn took those moments sparingly he ran into the forest hearing the moving grunts of the beast behind, reaching a walled of area Green dawn turned and gulped there was a thick tree branch to his right he picked it up in his teeth it was horrid via taste but he didn’t have the branch for flavor he swung and missed his eyes connecting for a split second with its Green dawn fell to his haunches he couldn’t see but an inch in front of him and his stomach seemed to protest against any movement the world seemed to bend in front of him he dropped the stick it tried to strike, Green dawn rolled avoiding the beast. The shadow stalker hit a tree the tree fell only inches or what seemed like inches from Green dawns front leg still confused at exactly what happened Green dawn swung unrelatedly in the direction of the shadow stalker only one hit connected out of the fifteen or more swings.
A knot seemed to lock in Green dawn’s neck he winced and dropped the branch he looked down to find it but to no avail. His vision was getting worse and he was losing feeling in his back legs they were still viable options for weapons though he heard a growl. He ran in the directions of said growl and spun around and kicked with all of his strength it connected he heard a crack possibly one of the shadow stalkers bones crushing, faltering the now injured shadow stalker moaned then struck. It caught Green dawn front hoof a new fountain of blood seemed to flow he was hurt every step became increasingly heart wrenching tears of pain rolled down Green dawns face. Green dawn decided against just sitting there and watching as he bled again he turned and kicked it seemed to do nothing to the now rueful shadow stalker. It didn’t fall, wince, howl or moan. It roared with the intensity to wake all the creatures of the night. The world spun faster around Green dawn the tough stomach He had kept gave up soon he was busy letting the contents of his stomach flow out of his mouth. He felt worse and worse.
He had to get out of this damned forest he turned his head but was blinded beyond a few feet. Green dawn felt a breeze he assumed it was the beast but it wasn’t it was a general breeze which meant a way out of this place, he turned and ran the shadow stalker close behind but Green dawn showed no signs of caring all he did care about was getting home, his thoughts froze in time the world seemed to go slower He didn’t have a home he didn’t have a family he didn’t have friends he was nothing he wouldn’t be anything one side of him wanted to give up and at least be a good meal for this creature but another side of him just wanted to get out of here. Soon he decided against death and seemed to gallop faster. Not too far away the orphans of celestia’s wishful wonders had snuck out to see if they could find that blank flanked sissy’s corpse or at least to find him crying on the playground when the owner of the building counted of the kids wish star had used an illusion spell which is what he did best to make the owner see Green dawn and hear Green dawn but it was all just in his head. They heard a commotion come from the forest they all looked quizzically which would have been an amusing sight if it Green dawn wasn’t being chased. Green dawn could see the faces of the filly’s and colt’s outside were they looking for him to save him, No they probably came to laugh at me and hit me maybe even kill me far from wanting to save me. I wasn’t going to stoop to their level feeling better in the fresh air his vision was more clear and his stance was stronger, although he was losing blood fast the other ponies could she how pale he looked and how faint his eye’s looked but they could see something different inside him. A slightly stronger willed looking pony stood before them. Wish star began to walk closer to the animals alluring tail movements, his horn glowed rocks floated before him he started shooting them with a lot of force and speeded Green dawn could feel the wind being bent around his ears as the rocks whizzed by. Green dawn was unsure if he was being shot at or the shadow stalker was.
He didn’t care he ran up feeling better and stuck harder than he could ever had imagined he tackled the creature something probably stupid, but it was effective standing over the creature Green dawn repeatedly began hoof stomping the animal fierce cries were hears for mile’s it began to rain mist at first then pouring down. Drenched and cold but unaware of these feeling Green dawn was enraged he still was hoof stomping the animal was bleeding and hurt beyond belief. Green dawn still wanted to hit but stopped and nudged the monster into the forest it got up weakly and howled while it hobbled away turning around. He felt a new weird sensation he felt weightless an aura of color filled his view it was wish star he had an evil stare and a devilish smile “why couldn’t you just die” is the last thing I heard before he slammed me into a nearby tree, giving my vision a black screen then against another adjacent tree this time it had knocked me out I felt light headed but calm. Waking up in a quaint little infirmary only knowing so because he could see the red cross indication medical services, He felt faint and his body burned with pain and it seemed his internal organs were receding into each other his stomach growled which had scared a nearby nurse who strolled over. She was beautiful she had an almost ice like and a coat of pure white fur her mane was bunched under her medical thing, Green dawn hadn’t known the name. He blushed at the sight of the mare then quickly pushed the thought from his head. She stuck a thermometer in my mouth and gently felt my side her hoof moved gently over my side I could feel bone’s faltered with her movement pain surged through my body to the point of me moving sporadically and violently. She backed up fast the look of eternal apologies filled her view “oh my sweet celestial I’m so sorry “she paused expecting a response from the crippled pony laying down in the bed in front of her. Green dawn had said nothing she injected a shot in with her magic and gently pushed the tab a warm feeling filled Green dawns veins, again green dawn felt faint and began to doze off feeling happy that he was one alive and two in the vicinity of a mare that didn’t wince at the thought of him.

The dawn of a new day
I sat down, or well staggered over on justification of my grievances the clinicians told me I should stop at a place called carousel boutique, to get a vest to cover over my injury so I don’t get eerie looks. I ate rapidly and inquired pinkie about learning money, which by the way I still perceived as a bizarre name who would name their filly that, never mind doesn’t matter nonetheless I asked her how to use equestrian money, which to not tease I’ve never used I’ve lived in equestrian my whole life I just never had money. With a new sense of knowledge a new friend and a pretty good feeling I sashayed out the door. I didn’t feel like a colt I felt like a stallion hell maybe even a mustang. I felt good walking around I asked a red mained passerby where the carousel boutique was, she nudged my head in the direction I thanked her and was on my way, a group of filly’s trudged in my path and stopped in front of me. They all smiled one with the cutest little bow stepped forward “Howdy, I’m apple bloom are you new” an orange one walked forward she said “or do you just stay in your house like a scared pony” she chuckled a very quaint little white one strolled in from of the orange one “never mind her I’m sweetie belle, that’s scootaloo” apple bloom cut off sweetie belle “and were the cutie mark crusader’s” she glanced at my flank “wow you don’t have a cutie mark” she exclaimed with and almost motherly voice “that’s unlike a full grown pony like yourself” she smiled for a second “ say Mr., would you like to join us to try and get you a cutie mark” I kneeled down “listen girls in flattered I really am, but I want it to be a surprise and so should yo” I was cut off by scootaloo “yea, yea, yea you should wait for your cutie mark blah, blah, blah” they walked away I slipped into the boutique expected to be greeted by a worker instead the prettiest thing to grace the equestrian dirt to even walk on it, waltzed in “oh hello dear, I’m rarity how can I help you today” I was at a loss of word.
I just stared I went to talk “ah la blabla cge” is all I could mutter I felt like an idiot. I shook my head “I mean I was told I could buy a vest” she smiled “hmm, a vest don’t you think a soothing cape and long vest to cover to just above your hooves” she seemed to force me into a nearby changing station. She started to measure me I felt weird or fat or both I was afraid I exceeded normal pony weight she gasped “what happened to you darling” do I really have to get called different pet names she jabbed my side softly to get me out of a stupor I winced in pain “jeez, I got into a fight with a shadow stalker in ever free” she looked at me with a mean face “no need to be satirical if you don’t want to answer, you don’t have to fib” I was oblivious of my expression “No, I’m dead serious rarity” I stood on my back hoof and spread my arms out “it was this big” pausing for a breath and to think out my next moves “ I beat it to, nothing messes with green dawn” her eyes sparkled “oh quite sorry darling I’ve bested you have you kicked a manticore square in the jaw” she gave a sarcastic smile “you cannot swoon me with bravery” she measured around my flanks “but you can swoon me with being resilient even in times of dread, that separates the colts from the stallions” I couldn’t tell if she blushed for a split second “she gasped again “ you don’t have a cutie mark” I just nodded shamefully was this going to be just like the orphanage just worse always getting called out on my impurities. She took the muteness as a way of me saying, please don’t talk about that it was silent for a while until I mustered up my audacity “um, so you like clothes” her cold hoof touched my side as she measured “no darling I only own a dress shop” she laughed “oh I’m sorry did that sound rude, I didn’t mean it that way” I looked back and smiled “ no I like it its sassy, you seem to be very interesting” this time I caught the blush, I beamed to her myself “well not to cut this short, I’ve measured you, and I can make your vest, or I could you know go senseless and make you something better” my mind fired blanks I could only mutter “sure, the second option when do you think it will be done” while practically pushing me out of the door “maybe 3-4 hours, why don’t you pick up a book at the library oh and if you see sweetie belle could you tell her I need her help” I nodded “uhok” I seemed to mix the words.
Outside again I walked towards the library it was a gigantic hollowed out tree, that’s horrible who hollowed a live tree. I walked in a very small purple dragon almost out of sight on account of he had the largest stack of tomes he was transporting. My eyes opened wide I sprang up and composed the books on my back “hey chum where are you taking these, I’m glad to help” he said “thank goodness, if you hadn’t come along I was on the verge of sneezing celestia would have gotten a real treat if I did” he pointed a claw at the stairs “just right up those steps twilight should be up there expecting them I nodded and slowly found my way up the tree and into a room where a purple mare was deep into studies here horn glowed and a bolt of energy hit me sending me across the room and into the adjacent wall “OUCH” I exclaimed getting up “oh my sweet celestia I’m so sorry” she scoured where I was hurt “Eh its ok I’ve had worse” I said, she smiled so she gestured at the books “Can I get a little assistance. I nodded and walked over I picked up books onto my back and supported them to where she was studying “you were confronted by a shadow stalker right” I looked inquiringly “how did you know” I said” she looked in shock “I knew it I have to study you to learn from you this is implausible, we could learn way more about those elusive creatures, oh I’m sorry I’m twilight sparkle” from what I could tell she was intellectual “I’m green dawn it’s a pleasure to encounter you so what’s the agenda, what are you cramming” she looked at the books “Cramming? Oh no I’ve read these about a hundred times over I’m just bored so I decided it’s about time to memorize these few, so how was it getting attacked by a shadow stalker” her horn illuminated “she moved closer and looked into my eyes “did you look into its eyes” I nodded then said “yea, oh if you’re going to write this down don’t ever look it in the eyes bad idea, it confused me and made me nauseated” she snickered “I’ll be sure to reminisce that, so are you hectic later not to decay the surprise but if you’ve encountered pinkie she probably set up a party for you, you can meet the other ponies speaking of which who have you met” I thought for a instant “ a few filly’s sweetie belle, scootaloo and applebloom uh a mare named rarity and pinkie” she smiled “that pinkies an peculiar one right, oh and if your writing this down if her tail spasms head for the hills.” On that not I was off to sweet apple acres for my party. Which weirdly pinkie pie set up for me but before I even went, I wasn’t greeted as much as walloped by a blue furred pony with blue mane slightly lighter she went to speak

Green dawn was faced with a posh pony, with the voice to crack diamonds
many spectacular sounds nestled into my ears music, balloons, games. After about an hour of setting up supplies everyone showed up. I decided to meet up with rainbow dash I needed to get to know everyone I set up a sort of checklist in my head 1) rainbow dash 2) fluttershy 3) apple jack 4) spike I needed to meet them all. Approaching her she had a mane of rainbows slightly more alluring than the tail of the shadow stalker “hey, uh I’m green dawn I was told that you’re an awesome person and we should meet” she smiled spit in her hoof and held it out to me at first I was appalled, but decided that it was an invitation and rudeness is not allowed I quickly spit in my hoof and stomped hooves. “well you catch on fast you’re the talk of the town, I mean you fought a shadow stalker your one of the only ponies to survive without being cripples” I felt flushed great now everyone knows about my secret well not secret I just don’t want to be seen as more than I am I put my hoof behind my head and rubbed “ ha-ha, yea I guess I did how did it spread so fast” she motioned to a friend’s “I’m sorry kid I have to catch up with an old friend well catch up later go party” feeling like I was pushed away fluttershy was on my list moving to a crème colored pony with a wavy pink mane nowhere near as bright as pinkies she was just sitting there “hey there care to dance” she looked up her eye’s widened she looked down “oh no, I’ll just watch I don’t like crowds” she squeaked “your fluttershy right” she looked up and barely squeaked yes “well fluttershy would you at least like to talk “ she waved her head I assumed it was yes “what do you do for a living fluttershy” a little white rabbit popped from her mane and onto her back fluttershy nestled it with her nose “oh its ok angel he’s friendly” the rabbit gave me a stare down then shrugged its shoulders and walked back into fluttershy’s mane “well I love animals, I walk through the everfree forest seeing all the new animals” I opened my mouth to talk when the barn door opened up in a smash a magical aura surrounded them “ok get ready for a real party” said a drenched ice mane’d pony “Trixie” twilight said “you’re not welcome here” Trixie smirked and used magic to restrain everypony I ran up to stop her. Running up I was able to head butt her she fell over her spell was broken she stood up, eyes glowing and a rage seeming to flow, the glowing white eyes turned black and expanded “I’ve learned a lot while I was away I made good friends with, oh what was her name oh yea chrysalis she taught me a lot of magic” she exploded in a magic aura freezing everything and slowing me down in a rage I flipped a table spun around and kicked it flew in her direction she dodged it and a lasso came out of nowhere and got her she was yanked back magically she turned herself and used to rope to wrap up the orange pony with the blond mane.it gave me enough to tackle the pony and finally get to attack her I head butted her I bet her horn a gash filled my skull blood poured onto my muzzle I was gurgling with my own blood that hurt, it enraged me I was unstoppable I was dodging floating objects being thrown with massive force my head cake flew at about a thousand miles per hour in actually connected with me disintegrated into a sugary mass from icing my vision was clouded by cake but I wiped off and the cake sucked up some of the blood.
Dipping and dodging the attacks I was close my hind leg connecting with her chest; my leg snapped in half pain strutted through my body. An almost to similar aura grabbed around me but this time she was slowly squeezing me my organs chided against touching each other I felt something rupture, possibly my spleen I started to pee myself, it was my bladder I wasn’t afraid it was the only explanation my eyes closed I started to feel faint a thud, me and the adjacent pony fell, me hitting the ground I sputtered up a little bit of blood it rested on my lip, I was heaving and gasping. It seems I couldn’t get enough oxygen looking to my right a few ponies were restraining the evil pony, apple jack lassoed her legs. Their attention left her and was directed to me ponies gathered around I was a crumpled mess, I was in a type of fetal position in my own excrement I felt like a joke, like trash. They started speaking they I assumed were talking to me my eyes closed, their voices becoming more and more faint.
I for the second time this week, I was in a hospital but something was different I felt bigger, and stronger I looked to my right I was older my mane was longer, and I was greeted by celestia, the woman I prayed to, to get out of that damned orphanage I was graced with her presence “I’m sorry my subject you may have noticed you are older about 5 years older to be exact, but do not fear five years had not passes and you are only mentally older and physically but you will still have those extra five years” she paused for breath “I’ve performed one of the strongest spells ever performed it aged your body so your organs can fix themselves you were to unstable to go into surgery, but your organs are fine and you are healthy, I deem you protector of Ponyville and you’ve earned a personal favor.” another breath “now if you will excuse me that magic drained me heavily and I need rest, if you ever come to Canterlot please visit me.” I stood up on my hooves I had a better stance and I looked so much better walking out I was greeted by cheering “Howdy, you saved dang near every one of us” I looked with a quizzical look “but I lost I mean look at me” she looked sympathetic “I’m sorry for that, but you weakened her grasp on us so we could get in and finish the job without we would have all died”
I felt good; rarity was floating a box over her head “hello dear, oh you look great I’ve finished this for you free of charge of course just as a thank you.” Opening the box it was a vest black with a green under shirt with a rose a green cape and a fedora I quickly put them all “How do I look” rarity came closer and grabbed the fedora in her teeth adjusted the position “there, fabulous what a handsome stallion” I blushed and hid my head from sight. I was given a room in sugar cube corner which pinkie was more than tolerable with giving me laying in the bed I closed my eyes my life was turning out ok I was the protector of Ponyville, I’m going to visit Canterlot tomorrow to get situated with the princess. I started to think about my new friends great friends not people from my orphanage, like wish star. I still had a bone or two to pick with him but that’s another day tomorrow will be the closest I will be to happiness and from there on out I will continue happy.
Chapter 4: A frightening dream
Chapter 4, a new fate, and a new frightening dream
“pinkie, that’s enough” I said staggering around the room balancing the objects “oops, sorry” she told me to open the suitcase “wait what, it might like explode or something” she looked at me opened the case and nothing flew out it stayed perfectly still I put my hoof to my head and wiped “phew, ok do I just put them in” she nodded I set the stuff on the adjacent bed and went to organize a bit my clothes rarity had made were in there when my hoof touched the case, clothes exploded into the air food and cakes and brushes and twigs and the random objects pinkie assumed I would need flew around the room. Pinkie smiled in awe the smile growing abnormally large I flew to catch the falling objects catching clothes in my teeth and a brush in the tail. I accounted for it all and pinkie decided to pack again for me.
Soon she finished, fed me then sent me on my way through Ponyville. On my way out of town I stopped by sweet apple acres to say goodbye and barter for some apple Canterlot was a long way away one stale cupcake won’t bode well. On arrival a green looking older pony sat on the porch or a quaint little pink house “hold it, state your business young’un” she laughed “I’m just kidding you should have seen the look on your face she laughed until her dentures fell out she put them back in and felt them to see that they were just right. “I wanted to but some apple’s I’m headed to Canterlot you see” she cut me off “oh your that feller that stopped Trixie and saved Ponyville” I still hadn’t known why I was being praised I didn’t deserve it but none the matter it was great while it lasted “sure go out to the fields apple jack and big Macintosh should be out there” I thanked her and headed to the back I saw trees with apple I didn’t even know existed ones rainbow colored some pink some icy blue some purple some green some the color of a spleen. I was awed by the alluring sights, my mouth started to salivate “howdy partner, I see you eyeing the apples yeah there my families passion” looked “ yea they sure look tasty, can I buy some” she smiled turned around bent and grabbed a basket of apple and put them in front of me “sure pick a few, 5 apples every 2 bit” I smiled “ok yea I’ll take ten” I handed her four bits opened my saddle bag and deposited the apples and continued to walk along. Apple bloom and her friends paraded in the distance to a sturdy well-built looking tree house. I was again on the dirt road.
Walking after hours the sun went down I decided to set up a shelter. I looked in my saddle bag twilight had given pinkie pie frozen fire powder, a magical artifact that is used for land ponies to make fire you just sprinkle it onto a piece of wood or well anything and presto the warmest fire you’ve ever felt. Pinkie gave it to me she obviously didn’t need it and I don’t want to know what she would do with it anyway maybe try to put it in cupcakes. Possible make a glitter painting with it or something. I couldn’t really tell what was going on in her head. I grabbed an apple in my teeth from the saddle bag and chomped down, the sweet juice if the apple filled my mouth the more I chewed the better it tasted well at least the apples did their work with some initiative and pride. I threw the core into the fire it exploded into green flame and disappeared. I laid back looked at the stars of equestrian noticing the star swirled the bearded’s constellations he found while he was alive, he was a fantastic philosopher and a great magician no doubt the role model of any magic savvy pony. My eyes slowly closed.
I dreamed I was back in celestia’s wishful wonders and the ponies there were tragically hurt, blood was everywhere the person I was watching the eyes through talked in an accent unknown gentleman like but almost terrifying. He walked pass a mirror and showed himself a black unicorn, with fake wings probably with the magic and glowing red eyes he was angry with almost everything I could feel it myself. I was trapped in his body and I had no control. He approached wish star desperately trying to protect rock breaker his horn started to glow not its regular color but red, the unicorn fell in an almost heap I could almost feel wish stars pain his horn disappeared in a hail of blood and magical excess. He dropped wish star which was now flailing around frantically on the floor writhing in pain. He was again picked up and thrown across the room leaving rock breaker which seemed to be hurt somehow venerable. The guy I was in bent over touched his horn to her head and poof like a candle blown from existence or just teleported away. He disappeared into a cloud of black magic excess leaving me a phantom with no body to wander around the halls to gather information I moved into a nearby room it seemed to lure me in I opened the door and a bright light overtook my vision. I woke up in a cold sweat gasp. It was morning and the newly set dew had glistened in the sun and the fired had been nothing but ember for what had been almost forever.
I sat up grabbed my bags and hoof stomped the fire down and continued my journey. To the mighty city of Canterlot to maybe choose a favor or something I munched on an apple, and was on my way galloping in the direction of destiny just can’t wait.
