It's Not Easy Being Greenby PonaygurlChaptersPrologue - Twi's LetterChapter 1 - GreenifyingChapter ? - What the Muffin?Prologue - Twi's LetterPrologue - Twi's Letter The night was still, all but for a cool breeze which blew over the towns of Equestria, and the slowly drifting clouds. Birds silently roosted in their trees, all the statues in the Royal Sculpture Garden stood deplorably as leaves rustled and blew around them, and all ponies were settling to sleep through my beautiful night. All ponies except two - us, the princesses. Slowly, thinking of nothing but the pure hatred I had for the dear, kind, fair JUST Princess Celestia, sarcasm intended, I walked into my sister's room to see if she would even notice me (as far as I knew, she never had) and she didn't - well, not for the first 10 seconds. The ignorant, neglecting mare only actually realized when suddenly a little cloud of green fire swooped in through the window, and I jumped. Then she adressed me . "Well hello Luna! Would you like to hear my student's latest ramblings on a scroll she sends me each week?" she asked me, clearly showing she didn't like Twilight Sparkle. "Indeed I would, sister. Thank you." At least my just wonderful sister was actually talking to me in a friendly way, unlike some other occasions I can think of! I lowered myself into a sitting position and waited. "Dear Princess Celestia," she began in a high, mocking tone, "today I learned that you don't have to be pretty on the outside to be pretty on the inside, and" she changed her tone, indicating she realized this was the pink one's dictation, "even if somepony seems reallyreally pretty, they could be the most meanest and evilististististist pony you've ever met!" she moved back into Twilight. "Sometimes things aren't as they seem at all, so you have to be open to all your options, just in case that somepony (or some-serpent, as it may be!) turns out to not be what you think it is. Your faithful student, Twilight Sparkle." She swapped to her normal voice. "Well, that was stupid. I hate this part of my job; remind me next time to skip this part of ruling a country." She was one of those looks-nice-but-is-really-evil ponies, I thought, and a plan began to form in my mind, something to teach her a lesson that would last a long time... Chapter 1 - GreenifyingChapter 1 I awoke. It was late, and my beautiful moon and all the twinkling stars hung mesmerizingly in the black night sky over the sleeping mares and stallions. (I dared look no longer, for fear of such a dark sky reminding me about the incident with the Myazma - a living gas, not unlike my mane, which posesses ponies so as to make them do evil - but I won't go into the story now.) Celestia lay fast asleep on a chaise lounge, quietly snoring which was a good sign for me, as it showed she was fast asleep (and it was also a little bit funny!). I studied her carefully, before picking up some scissors using my magic and very carefully cutting a lock of her green hair off. She didn't feel it, I could see that from her peaceful dreaming not being interrupted. (I later learned her dream was of eating infinite cupcakes and never getting fat ;'D oh, I am laughing out loud.) Teleporting back to Zecora's, I dropped my ingredients in the cauldron and stirred it up, carefully pouring warm water in as I did so.. This'll teach her, that evil dragon! I thought as I took off the royal shoes to push down and drain the magic from the poison joke leaves. Thus the potion was ready. Lifting a flask and filling it, I tested to see if it worked by giving a parasprite some. It was pink before my churning green creation of miscief touched its cute little lips, but it turned green soon enough. I trampled the adorable little demon spawn before it could reproduce. Then I teleported back to the castle and gently poured my concoction into Tia's mouth. She stirred, making me stop dead, but then settled again. Satisfied, I headed back to the Lunar Chambers for a morning's rest and Moonset spell. *** "LUNA!?!?!" "Yes, sister?" "Come to my chamber, and don't take long. I need to talk to you about something." "Yes, sister." Just what I hoped for. Now to remember the face I made when I read my first clopfic and reuse it on Tia for added effect. I walked to her room and slowly opened the door. "You see my coat? You see me? I am a horror! I cannot raise the sun for Equestria looking like this! What has happened??" I used THE FAEC. "SISTER! How could this happen? I am truly sorry for you. You do look a terrible monstrosity. Certainly in no state to do your official duty." I was just winding her up, stalling her in a way. "Maybe I should raise the sun..." This was getting better and better by the minute. She was about to give me her responsibility when a green cloud of fire flashed in through the window and formed a scroll. "This can't be what I think it is... It is. Oh, dear sweet ME! Twilight Stupid has decided to schedule herself into a personal meeting tomorrow! I can't see her like this!" For a moment, I wondered if there was a way to mix up one of the same kinds of potion they used in Harry Trotter, here in Equestria... "Sister... Is there a way I could be transformed to look just like you, and take over your responsibilities until there is a cure for your ailment?" I had been thinking of the Fillyjuice potion Hermiopony made. She thought for a moment, and adressed me. "There is one way..." Chapter ? - What the Muffin? It was a cold and miserable day. Celestia, I could see, felt cold and miserable. (I mean, everypony knows that the weather in the day and at night is caused by my sister's and my feelings, respectively!) And if you looked VERY closely at the sky, you saw a tint of... Green? It was definetely there, although it was hard to notice. This was really a dark time for Using a Silence Spell (you automatically become visible in a princess's chamber if you have an invisibility spell put on you) I flew down the corridoor, carefully formulating new rules for the Lunar Kingdom - but about halfway down, I saw something outside the window. Then a small, brown thing flew in the window and hit me. The missile had got me square in the face. Carefully I touched a hoof to my cheek and felt that it was soft and springy. Very cautiously, I ate some. It was a muffin. Who in the name of of our great mother could have thrown a muffin at the window? I thought. I checked once more out of the window and saw the muffin-thrower herself! "Stop right there!" "Hiya Princess! Do you like muffins? I gave you one just now! By the way, your sun is pretty." "For your information, we raise the moon. Our sister raises the sun." "Who's the other pony? You're talking about more than one pony!" "No, we are not. Now leave this castle and return to your home. We bid you our blessings." The pegasus flew into the wall, turned round and slowly flapped her wings in the direction of Ponyville, still calling out about more than one pony. She had obviously just been a distraction, maybe had ben put up to it to stall while a comrade slipped in my room (I had stupidly left the door open) and played a trick. Flapping my wings, I trotted down the corridoor again, cursing. Using my magic, I pushed the door slightly and watched for a few seconds to see if anything fell from the top, a bucket perhaps. Apparently the pegasus had done this of her own accord. I trooped to my room and summoned the usual moon spell to raise my former prison - thinking that brought back painful memories, so I stopped - and went to bed, awaiting the morning, which would bring a new day and a new form for myself - that of the favoured Princess Celestia...
