Chapter 2

"i few things one ARE YOU CRAZY?" the colt screams dodging constant stomps of the feet of the beast

"we improvise of Course!" the mare exclaimed

"yup you have lost it we are doomed"

"not yet i got an idea"

suddenly daring jumped out of the way of a powerful punch that bused the earth and jumped onto a over hinging stairway and jumping onto the beasts back and covering his eyes with her hoofs

"GET THOSE HOOFS AWAY FROM ME" He screamed in terror

"Conner get behind him"

"THEN WHAT?"

"trust me you will know what to do"

Flash back 1

daring and conner are running away from a local market

"get back here thief's!"

the baker backs conner and daring into a corner

"no way out im going to get you once and for all"

"daring?" conner asked

"yeah yeah im on it"

daring quickly sprinted toward the baker

"i give up"

daring trying her best to stay in the sight of baker

"really?"

"yeah"

daring suddenly pushes the baker and the baker trips over the mares friend who is on his hind legs laying on the ground

"not today!" the mare said starting to run away with colt joining her

"well played"

"it wasn't only me up high!"

the two hoofed each other and walked away giggling

Flash back 2

"ok this time i think we have gone to far daring!" the colt said dashing

"nah we have got though worse"

"GET THE HELL BACK HERE!"

"ok maybe hes a little mad!" the mare said

"you think?"

"just a little"

the two take a look behind them to see the pursuer was Gone!

"few i think we lost time"

"not yet...." a local pony said

"yeah all you two are trouble makers" another said

"i think i hear my mom calling" the colt turns and dashes off

daring left all alone if a street full of angry Pones

"um we can work this out hehe" daring pleased

"not this time you going to be locked up this time around no more funny business

quickly about six pones jumped out and tried to tackle all at once daring quickly grabbed a hoof of a flying pony and swing her around and threw her into a crowd to make an escape through a tiny gap once though she quickly ran till she couldn't run any longer then she walked the rest of the way to conners house to give him a piece her mind.

"hello? CONNER" she said knocking on the big blue door

Suddenly the door flung open with a scared face standing there

"hey um my mom was uh you know calling me"

"DO YOU EVEN HAVE A MOM?"

"of coruse oh i think i hear her now got to go!" he said slaming the door in darings face

"wow" she said and started walking away

"CONNER Hurry"

still dazed she quickly came to know what he needed to do he dodged one last blow of the beast and got behind him

daring let go of the monsters eyes and started to pull as hard as she could backwards till it stumbled over conner

who once again was on his knees conner regrouped with daring and they started to walk away

"few that was close!"

"yeah" daring said turning to see if the beast was still laying there

"i dont think its going anywhere"

"ok lets get back to my place and pick up a few things and head on or way shall we?"

daring and conner headed for home

"we will Not let her interfere with out plans any-longer!"

"we are sorry sir they are to good"

"and you are better!"

"so get out there and bring me their manes!"

"yes sir"

"and while your at it get me some cider"

"will do"

"bring some men"

"ok"

"if you disappointed me any more you may never see your friends again"

"yes"

"get lost!"

"ok all we have to do is jump on a train and it will take us through a desert and over a mountain and a forest"

"so basiclly we just go until we get to where you want us to get to?"

"yeah thats the plan"

"and you think this is going to be easy?" conner asked

"of course not!"

"well once again we are going in blind"

"since when havent we?" she asked

"never"

daring and conner cash in their tickets for the train and get inside

"and you were worrying"

"ha me i dont worry!" he said

"sure you dont since you know your the bravest pony of ALL TIME" she declared

"well um"

daring looked out the window and saw cactus and sand everywhere see looked choicer into the distance and saw camels being rid by ponys

"um conner look"

the "BRAVE" pony leaned over and looked out of the train and saw what she saw

"WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?"

" stay here"

"you have lost your mind we are going to found any second we gotta go now!"

"whats the fun in that its like old times kinda'

"yeah but we were not in moving trains when that happened were we?"

"um well no"

daring stood up

"here follow me"

conner followed daring train car after train car shoving pones BANG

"we have to go" she said

"um yeah"

they went until the last car

"out here"

daring opened the door and started to climb the ladder of to the roof of the train conner climbed up with daring

"now what" he asked

"we have to move slowly or they will hear us banging around up here" she said

"ok lets go but what happens when we get to the front?"

"we take over this train and get rid of these followers for good" she said

"um okay"

the two slowly started moving slowly

"STOP!"daring said looking over the side of the roof seeing eight pones running to the other cart

"ok" daring said

"lets go" conner said

the two continued on their way with constant noise which they could hear perfectively since the train was stopped

"WHERE ARE THEY?" the black masked pony asked a trapped pony

"who" he said nervously

"WHO ELSE DARING AND CONNER"

daring and conner look at each other

"maybe we should get the other ponys off first" conner said

"alright" conner said

cononer jumped down and pulled the alarm ponys started for the door while they could while

meanwhile daring started to the front of the train halfway there way a pony being held hostage daring started to think

"i should help her out"she thought

"but i really got to go..." she stood listening to the constant crys coming from the captured pony

daring suddenly jumped in between the train cars and opened the door daring ran up

"LET HER GO" daring yelled

"oh there she is, i don't think you her this prisoner are going anywhere" he said

"just let her go" daring said

"then do what i say"

"ok"

"me you and her are going to head to the front of the train and start it up again with every pony off the train but not you or conner"

"daring?" conner asked

"come down here" daring commanded

conner came into the car

"whats going on?" he asked

"we are going to go to the front and start up the train"

"ok"

daring and conner made there way up to the front of the train

"get off the train" daring said to the driver

"no you cant this is my favorite train please don't!" he pleaded

"GET off" the captive pony said

" ok ok"

the train driver got off the train and daring and conner both suddenly saw blackness

"DARING WAKE UP"conner yelled

"uhh"

daring smelt the smoke in the air then she opened her eyes to feel the heat of the blazing fire, the two were tied together and both were sitting in two chairs

"what do we do" conner asked "you have gotten out of worse right?"

"yeah" said calmly

"so can you get us out?" he asked

"nope" she said simply

"why not?" he asked again

"unlike rope metal can not be bitten though" she exclaimed

the colt looked over his shoulder to see the worried face of daring looking at the floor

"hey don't worry" he said

"i'm not! i'm just you know thinking" she said

she looked for anything that she could use to get free

"is there anything on your side?" she asked

"nope i don't see anything

"darn it" she said

the two sat watching as the train slowly started off the tracks and into the dirt ditch

"we have to do something NOW!" the colt pleaded

"your misery is cute" daring said still staring at her binds

"hey your the one who is ten metres away from there death as well" he said still watching his doom

"ture but i can accept my death unlike someone who happens to be right behind me"

"listen im going to try something but it requires both of us to work together ok?"he asked

"fine"

"first im going to lean back on to you and you fling me over your shoulder"

"what if i get hurt? you only weigh like a billion pounds she said sarcastically

"ha ha ha daring is so funny in the face of danger"

"i am"

"ok im going" he said

the colt started to lean back on daring

"ready?" he asked

"yep"

"alright g--" he got cut off

conner was dazed for a second and stood up and turned to give daring a scary look

"you were suspose to wait till i said go"

"i dont wait" she said

conner untied daring

"ok how do we get out now?" he asked

"back door?" she asked

"daring Seriously we need to get out of here, hey help me break this glass"

daring walked over to the door and opened it and watched conner try to open the glass window

"your never going to open it" she said then pointing at the back door" Seriously lets try the back back door!"

"if you think it will open you try i will remain here to continue trying to get this dammed window open" he said bucking

at the window over and over again

"i do" she said clopping toward the door she turned to knob "Locked!" she turned to look at her companion

"told you daring" still bucking at the window

"Hey! your not getting any closer then i am" she said turning to look at the lock on the door again " i will try to pick

it"

"good luck these train locks are made to not be broke into" he said still banging at the window

"and im sure these windows made not to be broken ether so keep your luck to yourself" she said bending down to eye

level to look into the lock she took a coin and started to scratch the door knob with it in the other hoof she pulled

out a hair pin and un tangled it stuck the pin into the lock and the scratched coin off to the side of the pin and pushed

the lock didnt budge

"see told you!" he said

"i see you have only made a scratch on that window just give me a few more seconds" she turned and faced the door and

kicked the lock she decided to try the door after she gave it a hard kick the door knob turned and opened "ah ha look

what i did!"

"whoa what" he said running to join daring "how long do we have to get off?" he asked

"not long" she turned and grabbed onto conners jacket and jumped off the side of the train as they hit the ground

they both rolled at the same time to safety

"great now we are in the middle of no where!" conner said standing up and helping daring up to her hooves

"thanks i have no idea" she looked at the tracks " maybe we could follow the tracks?" she asked

"yeah but for how long that dick took our food and water we won't last long out here" he said looking at daring

"that is true maybe we will encounter a village on the way?" she asked "i mean maybe not for a few hours at the least we

are pretty far into the desert"

"well we better start moving ever second we waste we are closer to our doom" he said and started walking and daring

followed

"this is true i guess" she said

"isnt everything i say true?" he asked with a smirk

"yeah yeah wise head keep talkin" she said constantly counting each piece of track she shes "43 44 45 46 47...50" she

mumbled

"what are you mumbling about?" he said putting a hoof on her shoulder "the sun has gotten to you i think we should rest"

he said turning daring for her to look at him

"i..... i think im fine lets go" she said trying to walk " i am fine really" she looked two steps before her and fell on

her face

"daring!" the colt yelled running to the mares side "wake up!" he said he grabbed her legs and dragged her toward the

closest shade under a tree trunk he leaned her agnest the tree and ran to something that looked like a lake full of water

he jumped toward it and opened the water jug he had in his pocket and filled it with the water and stood up and ran back

to daring he tipped the jug gently into the mouth of daring, she suddenly sprung with life and gasped for air

the night chilled the air around them they lay huddled to keep warm

"its cold out here" conner said staring at the constant glaze of the moon

"listen if it wasnt for you i would probably be dead" she said feeling glad she did

"hey no biggy you would have done the same for me!" conner said

"yeah but it didn't happen to you it happened to me and you saved me" she said looking at the moon as well

"yeah really no big deal" he said sitting up

"yeah....." she said

"hey we really bady need food" he said "i think its better for us to travel at night" daring nodded and stood up

"lets go" the two walked and walked till they saw what they believed was a mountain the two fell

"seems not even daring doo can escape death" ??? said looking over the corpse of daring and her companion

"master im sure they are gone for good this time" looking at the masters happy face

"then we can contine back on task lke we were before no more lumps along the way now" he said starting to raise his hand

"WE are rid of daring and her sidekick once and for all we march for the goblet with this map it will alow us to find it

give me the map" a plate came out of the ground and he grabed it from its pedistool "with this we can rule the world!"

the master opened the map in rage he picked up one of his grunts and threw him out the back window and into to the streets

"i want the real map! and i want it now go find daring find her corpse and bring it to me i will break it"

he stomped out of the war room and one of the grunts picked up the peice of paper laying on the ground and read

"haha in your face" he took the paper and rolled it up and threw it into the fire

"wake yuong daring you have vistors" luna said "but first let us talk" daring picked her self up from the warm bed she was

laying on she looked around dased from the light of the sun she turned to see luna sitting at a small table with two tea

cups sitting on it

"come sit" luna said she waved a hoof

daring stumbled over to the table

"where are we" she asked "wheres conner" she asked "im i dead" she wondered staring into the eyes of luna

" we are the castle of night my relm if it is to be found by the follows that are after you grave danger would happen

conner is fine in the same place you left him he will wake with full supplys, no you are not dead if i didnt help you

would be you must find the goblet if you dont nor me or celsta could stop him

"why dont you two just go after him?" she asked wondering of there usefullness " i mean you could do it much faster then

i could you wouldnt run into any problems i mean you can fly there for petes sake you dont need me"

"i am the night if i am not here i cant change day from night if i mess up once the cylye and it would never be able to go

back to the way it was and if celsta left her post it would stay enternal night and nightmare moon would return"

"but you are nightmare moon are you not?" daring asked

"yes but i can not stop my other slelf if this happens and if he gets the goblet he will take us down" she said

"then i gotta go i probley wasted a few days tops" daring said worryed about conner

"no i stopped the time in your head before your body gave up then slowly gave you life back but yes it did waste some

hours which you guys can make up im sure my life is in your hoofs im counting on your hard work" luna said "ready to go

back to the real world and finish this quest?"

"one" she said "i dont have the map i lost it on the train whats his face probly has it by now"

"no another thing to help you along a bit when you get back go into your travel bag and you will see" luna said

"thanks luna" daring said

"no problem"

daring woke she ran to check on conner he was ok just like luna said she left conner for a few seconds and ran over to

her travel bag and opened it the map lay rolled she un rolled it and took a quick glace over it conner stood up

"are we dead?" he asked "what happend?" he asked again

"no we are alive and we have have to go we have less time then i thought they are after us" she said and pulled out the

map to show him where they were heading next

"how did you get this?" conner asked

"long story i will tell you another time for now we gotta go"

"alright alright nag nag nag"

daring and conner started walking again they found a small drinking fountain and stopped to drink after the covered it

with sand

"least if they come this way they have no water" daring said

"yeah it least slow them down some" conner said

they walked daring stood on top of a small moutain of sand she saw a small village

"look!" she said turning to see conner eating a peace of bread

"What? im hungry ok?" he said " what is it" he added

"a village" she said and started toward it

"wait!" conner said "its a fake!"

"what thats crazy!" she said

"i mean look at it in the middle........." cut off

"oh stop it look i can see trees behind it" she said "just come on"

they countiued walking toward it the more they got closer the more it got real villagers coming out to greet them with

food and water

"hi" conner and daring said "what is this?"

" you are daring and conner right?" the villager

"yeah thats us"

"we have heard a lot about you and the tales that you two would save us from this waste land and return us home" the

villager said

"who told you that?" daring asked

"who else nightmare moon"

"we will help you but not now we are on a inportant quest" daring said

"you need to help us they have been attacking every night sinse we got trapped here" villger said

"what do you mean"

"i mean the shadow lurkers" the villger said

"the shadow what?" conner aske

"i have heard of them but i never thought they were real"

"will you help us be rid of them once and for all? i mean you have to help she said you would i mean luna please if you

dont i think our village will fall apart soon we are almost finished"

"yes we will help you first we must set up a few things i need 64 rope and 87 peaces of wooden planks if we cant stop

the shadow lurkers then we have to trap them we will set up a main deffence and a back up plan strongest ponys will be

on the front line if they are betten i will be the distaction i will lead them back to the houses at the back i will then

throw the map to one lucky pony who will then shower your self in this stuff in this niqure you then lead them closer to

the exit of the town and we will blow the bridge and they will flow down the river if there are any wonderers lead them

to the bridge got it?"

"you may need to go over it again" conner said
