                                                                Chapter 3

Night Drew quickly for the pony's after a strong filling meal the felt the need to battle the shadow lurkers and help the

pones of the village, the plan daring came up with sprung up fast 13 villagers waited at the beginning of the gate

"do you think we will make it?" a villager asked another

"i don't know man all we have to do is trust the newcomer" he said looking for the signal "i hope she know whats shes doing"

"me to man"

shadow lurkers drew closer to the village you could barely hear the steps they took

"oh man oh man oh man!" a villager said "we are done for!"

suddenly the villager felt a slight breathing coming from right behind him he turned to see a shadow lurker staring him

in the eyes a huge scream was but out

"to arms!" daring yelled

daring could hear the constant breaking of traps everywhere but didn't hear a single scream of the shadow lurkers

the cool night was all she could fell

"guys!"

blackness covered her but she could still smell the burning of houses

"over here you big ugly brutes" she ran around gathering all the shadow lurkers until she was sure she had them all and

she hoped that they had the trap ready

"come on we are ready daring!"

she ran toward the bridge and across she was grabbed by one of the shadow lurkers Conner tried to stop the blowing of the

bridge but it was to late Boom!

daring and the shadow lurkers were coasted down the river and fell down a huge water fall

"DARING!" Conner let out a scream despite running toward the edge of the fall looking down

to see any remains of daring but they were flow done the river

one of the towns pony lead Conner to the closest inn

"why did i let her do it" Conner asked in agony

he sat in his room for three days

"are you not going to continue on your quest?" the inn keeper asked

"i have no map its pointless"

"really now whats that in your backpack then?"

Conner looked over and saw a large rolled up piece of paper  he grabbed it and un rolled it a note fell from it

"if your reading this something happened to me and to my final request i want you to finish the quest from me

it may not seem like i'm there but i am watching over your every step go"

he unrolled the map a saw a circle near the place he was going "the key is here" he read

he rolled the map up and headed for the door

"here sir" the inn keeper handing Conner a huge backpack

"thanks" Conner said

meanwhile daring's body was sitting at the bottom of a deep hole washed up at a shore not to far from the stream

she coked and woke with a start she looked around at her surroundings she then looked at her coat which was cut up with

holes in the bottoms of her pockets she stumbled around before she was able to walk straight

"CONNER!" she yelled "CONNER!" she yelled again she looked in front of her and saw a dead end she was forced to turn and walk the other way just to find another dead end due to the water fall the water was flowing into a dam and slowly filling up she felt the cold touch of the water rubbing ageist her feet  she hoped that her friends were safe

she spent the next 2 hours breaking branches and making a fire hoping to get a signal out to those around her

"where the hell am i?" she thought "i'm in the middle of no where no food no help i gotta climb my wing was hurt in the fall"

she slept

conner woke and saw his fire was out where he was camped he looked at the ashes and thought "ill finish this daring"

he stomped the ashes and started to walk, he grabbed the map from his backpack and looked where he was going

"it will take me a while to get to that damn key"he thought "maybe they have the key..... wait they don't have the map"

he walked night drew quickly he set up camp

"RAWR" a shadow lurker was standing face to face with Conner

Conner roared with anger

"your kind killed daring ill make you pay!" he jumped onto the back of a shadow lurker and put his hoof in front

of the hoof of the shadow lurker tripping him Conner quickly got up and broke the lurkers arm to make sure he could

get safely out of there

he ran

BANG BANG BANG

it was the sound of daring constantly falling

"damn wing heal" she said glaring at her wings again

she thought she could hear voices coming from above

"HEY I'M DOWN HERE I NEED HELP"she screamed as loud as she was able to

no response

"Damn it" she sat on the ground and closed her eyes hoping for something to happen

nothing did she sat for two hours before a few tiny pebbles came down and rolled next to her

she looked up to see some local wildlife standing there

"i hope Conner is taking care" she thought to herself

two days past

daring wing had healed more she was able to fly half way up

"so close" she thought

she try's again more then half way

"damn it" thinking

again she was able to grab the ledge and pull herself onto flat lands

"thank god i need to eat" she thought

she started to walk

"now i do believe it is this way"

meanwhile

Conner now walking made it to his first stop

"wow this place is huge" he said looking at a giant temple

he slowly opened the door and performed in and saw a huge room full of treasure

as he got closer he could feel it getting hotter and hotter each time he took a step forward

he saw a large red tail

"what the hell is that?" he asked himself

a dragon one that was said to be ran off by a shy yellow pony his intense eyes scanned Conner

the dragon let out a huge roar which made the whole temple sake

"what the FUCK" he turned to run for the door

but it was suddenly shut he was trapped he tried banging on the door the dragon got closer and

closer with every bang bang before Conner knew it he was face to face to the dragon

he did the only reasonably thing

ran

daring was able to find the inn Conner stayed at the night before

"hey get me a pint please" she ordered

"sure thing" the bartender said "wait aren't you Conner's friend?

"YEAH IS HE OK WHERE IS HE?" she said

"yeah hes fine he set out for the key you had marked down on the map

"few i better go after him fill up this backpack and i will head out" she said

"ok" he said

the next day daring headed out

she was on the trail of Conner until she reached the temple which had had the doors closed

she walked up to one of the pones standing in front of it

"how long has it been closed?" she asked

"not long like 20 minutes" the pony said

"is there anyway for me to get in?" daring asked

"yes but it will cost you"

"i'm fine with it" daring said

the door was opened and daring walked in

she walked down the long huge hallway she spotted the key which this time there was no dragon

she walked up and switched the key with a rock and turned

"now where is" she was thinking before a scream uninterrupted her

"Daring!" Conner said

"Conner!" daring said

"now's no time i lost the dragon for now we have to get out" Conner said

"i agree i got the key" she said pulling out the key to show him

"nice"

RAWR the dragon took the corner at full speed headed toward daring and Conner

"RUN!" they started to run but the ground split apart and they fell into a deep hole

"ouch" daring said

"you can say that again!" Conner said

they ran the door which was locked when daring came in they started to bang on the door trying to get out

"HEY CAN YOU HEAR US WE NEED HELP OPEN THE DOOR" daring yelled

from the other side the elder yelled back

"NO"

"WHY THE HELL NOT?" daring yelled in anger

" then the dragon will be loose on the village" the elder said

Conner tapped daring on the shoulder

"we have no time for this its a matter of seconds till it finds us again"  Conner said

"what do you say we do then?" daring asked

"there has to be another way out right?" he said

"hmm there always is if not we can get the dragon to make one" she said

"that's true" Conner said

they ran left of the door running down countless hallways

RAWR the dragon bashed down a wall to cut them off they turned and bolted the other way

daring and Conner ran straight until they were close enough for them to turn just in time to dodge the dragons attack

and break through the wall

there plan worked! the dragon slammed right into the wall as they thought but it didn't break through instead the roof started to fall

daring was trying to get the dust out of her eyes when she noticed Conner wasn't there

"Conner?" she asked

she started to dig in the rubble

"CONNER?" she asked again

"Daring?" Conner asked for behind the wall

"thank god your okay" daring said

"same to you"

"well this isn't the first time we have split up" she said

"well this time there's a dragon" Conner said

"thanks for making it worse" daring said

"your welcome" Conner said

daring started to walk she walked till her eyes were playing tricks on here

"THE EXIT" she started to run as she got closer the farther it went away

"Damn it" she rubbed her eyes and started left then a right then a left she ending up back where they split up

"god dam it really?" she thought

she started to run again she was losing her mind every turn seemed longer then the last

corner after corner nothing until she noticed that there was a type of script on the wall

it said "Go Back to were you began" that made no sense

she turned and ran back to the first door the one she used to get in

but the door was open this time she walked through and walked around looking around for life

a figure came closer to her and said

"daring doo i've been looking for you" he said

"why?" daring asked

"your under a spell this isn't real well i am but you never made it out of the temple and you never will as i will make it your tomb"

"i don't understand"  she said

"you don't have to"

so woke
