Love At First Night

"The night before, Twilight Sparkle had been visited by Princess Luna.

She had requested social teachings(Which seemed odd to ask Twilight) then left.

Shortly after Twilight had dozed off to sleep."

Spike documented.

"Spike. What're you doing?" Twilight asked.

"Documenting stuff. I wanna start keeping journals and things."

"Oh..Kay..Anyway.Spike, I need you to help me prepare for my date with Princess Luna."

"Date eh?" Spike wiggled his eyebrows mockingly.

"Oh you know what I mean." She teased.

"Well here you go." Spike said heaving over a bag full of heavy things,

"What the hay'd ya put in there anyway?"

"Just basic stuff."

"Basic stuff? Celestia's sakes, Twilight, there's a melted Churro in here!"

She shrugged, "Snack?"

"Ugh." Spike facepalmed, "Forget it, I'm off on a date with Applebloom, I'll see you around."

"A date eh?" Twilight mimicked Spike's earlier tease.

"No Twilight, a real date. Applebloom asked me out.

NOT the second hand ruler of Equestria which whom you'll help with social skills."

Spike shut the door behind him, leaving Twilight dazed.

"Um..Okay."

It was 3PM

Twilight and Luna had done many things and where currently sitting in the park, eating ice-cream.

"You know, Twilight Sparkle, I've had fun today. I thank thee for thy help."

"It's my pleasure. I don't think being locked up all day reading about magical paint will really help my own health and social skills."

"Oh you like magical paint? I could teach you if you'd like." Luna responded.

"Whoa really?" Twilight asked anxiously.

"Yea! Watch."

Luna focused her energy through a nearby piece of glass.

After about half a minute or so, a blob of colours appeared at the tip of her horn.

She used them to draw on the park sidewalk, making a hopscotch board.

"It's all in the focus really." She noted.

"That's amazing!" Twilight said dazzled.

"I assure you it's nothing. Especially compared to what a powerful unicorn like you could do."

"Oh stop."

"No really! My sister has told me lots about you.

She thinks eventually you'll surpass even us in magical capabilities."

Luna then leaned in real close to her ear and whispered,

"And after reading some of what you've done and your friendship reports,

I think you could be this Utopia's next top pony.Heh heh..Just saying.."

"Really?" She asked, "I don't really ever see myself as anything big like a ruler or Canterlot Noble."

"Yet you are both of those things."

"Am I now?"

"Well the second it rather obvious from your cultural background, but as for a ruler.

I wouldn't exactly say ruler but perhaps a leader is a better fit?"

"I guess I've taken charge a couple times.."

"And they've turned out splendid! I think you're a very powerful, smart,(maybe even a little omniscient, too.)"

"Well thank you. It means a lot from such a great pony like a princess."

"Well thank you for thrice now helping me when I needed it."

"Oh it's nothing."

"Anyway, I do think I shall head back to Canterlot Castle. Around now I have to get to work."

"We'll hang out again tomorrow then?"

"Yes.Hang out.." She studied the term, "We shall do so. Perhaps sometime you can even join me at work."

"That sounds pleasant."

"Sounds."

Luna and Twilight chuckled together as friends.

After Luna departed, Twilight left for home to tend to her job as well, leaving Spike to head to the CMC clubhouse from where he sat with Applebloom on the opposite bench to Twilight's on the other side of the old park tree.
