Nights like this

Chapter Two

Spike heared a crash from downstair's of the tree library a jumped out of his sleeping basket.

''What was that?'', he though, still sleepy. He was quiet for some second and then agian there was a lout noise from the ground floor. ''What is this? Where is Twilight? What should I do?''. And then he frozed right where he has standed.''What if downstair's a robbers or even worse zombie ponies?!

What if downstair's are zombie robbers?! I need to hide!'' He was about to hide under Twilight's bed when he heared a angry cry from the ground floor.'' Dammit! Since when have climbing stairs had been this hard!'' Spike let out a sight of relief as he regognized who was down and tried to get upstairs. ''It's just Twilight. Jezz since when I am such an chicken?'' Spike thought but then he realised what Twilight had just said. '' She got problems with climbing the stairs?''

''For ponies sake! What is going on with me!'' Twilight said frustrated and dissapointent in herself.

''Really?! Stairs?! I forgot how to climb stairs?!'' Twilight looke up and soon she could see her number one assisstent Spike who was observing her with a confused view. '' Twilight are you alright? I heared you yelling at some point but I think I didn't understand you right. You cryed something about stairs. What is wrong?''

''Spike good that you are here. Could you please come and help me to get up the stairs? I have some really bad problem with these little traitor.''

''Sure Twilight but what is your problem? You dislocated your back or something?'' Spike said as he reached down the stairs to support twilight at her way up the stairs. ''Thanks Spike and I don't really know what my problem is. I could possibly just woken up on the wrong hoof.''

'' If you say so.'' Spike answered as he and the mare walked up the stairs.

In her room Twilight just fell onto her bed and mumbled into her pillow '' Spike, when anypony want something from me just send them away and let me sleep. I need my bed now more then anything else.'' Spike nodded and replied '' Ok Twilight. Should I wake you later?'' but Twilight was already snoring into her pillow, her mind far away in some dreams only she knew about. Her number one assisstent covered the unicorn in her blanket, took of the light, leaved the room and closed the door as quietly as possible.

The Sun was still shining in the open, cloudless sky above ponyville as the lavender unicorns eyes shot open and her mind slowly begann to work again. She shoved her blanket away and started to strech her body. After some minutes she yawned loudly and looked at the watch. 6 pm.

''Oh Horseapples'' she mumbled as she stood up and begann to walk downstair's. One step infront of the staircase she paused and looked angrily at the stairs.'' Just hope this time I make it without trouble'' she thought and begann to walk down the stairs. She made it. '' Good. I have a strong headache, no memorys of last night and if I try to use my magic it feels like my head would explode but at least I managed to deal with the stairs again''.

At the main room of the library Spike was snoring between some books. '' Must have worked the whole day again. I think I should let him sleep right now. Im not the best pony to spend time with at the moment''. The mare continued her way towards the kitchen and made a mental list what she would do until she was going to bed again. ''It's possibly to late to gather my friends. I will just send them a inventation for an meeting tomorrow.'' At the kitchen she started to prepare dinner for her and Spike.'' I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I wake him for dinner. So where do I store all the gems again?''

Half an hour later Twilight waked up Spike and they both settled down at the kitchen table for dinner. They talked about some trivial stuff and enjoyed their meal. After the plates were took of the table Spike asked '' So Twilight how was the party last night?'' Twilight lookedat him and blushed as she said '' I will be honest Spike. I have no idea.''

''What do you mean you have no idea?'' Spike asked confused. ''It was your own one  year anniversary party and you have no idea?''

'' Im serious Spike. I can't remember one thing. I think I had too much cider.''

''So you were totaly wasted?'' Spike questioned with a giant smirk. '' Like completely drunk?''

''Spike stop it! Maybe I was. Maybe not. Like I said before I have no idea.'' Twilight reminded the little dragon. Spike was still curious but let her in peace. He knew that he won't get any informations from the mare.

Twilight leaved the kitchen and tried to use her magic again, just to be rembered that this isn't such a good idea. '' Ok. Magic is still not possible. Must be a result of the drinking. What does the barcolt called it. A Hangover? Yes that's what it's called. I should do some research on that.'' The lavender unicorn troted over to the main room and searched for books with the terms ''hangover'' and ''drunk''. Eveything she found were some films with the titels ''Hangover'' and Hangover : Part 2'' from which she knowed that Spike loved them. '' I don't think that watching this films would help me to deal with this hangover. Probably Zecora could help me but I don't want to look out for her in the Everfree Forest. The only thing I can do now is wait to get over with this.''

The unicorn looked over to the watch. 9 pm. '' Wow the research must had taken more time I realized. I can't believe nopony has ever written something about hangovers! What if somepony ever needs informations like me today. They would be totaly lost like me. Before I go to sleep I will take some notes for the generations after me. They need to knew this.'' Twilight was on her way upstairs as she heared a loud snooring from downstairs. '' Spike is asleep yet? Must have been a long day for him. He deserv that sleep.'' She finished her walk and closed the door behind her as she entered her bedroom. Downstairs Spike to snore some more time as he heared the door was closed upstairs. After a few moments a smile crept onto his face as he got up and made his way to the movie collection were his goal layed inside. He took out two movies and whispered '' Hello there sweeties. It's time to use you one more time.'' He unpacked the first movie and beamed as the menu of hangover was showed on the TV. '' This is gonna be a good night.''

Upstairs Twilight was taking notes about her lack of using magic , the headache after she was woken up in the bar and every other sign of the hangover. '' I still don't really now if this is just my kind of hangover or if everypony has the same sign. My friends sure will share their experiences with me. I bet this wasn't Rainbows first hard party. She must know some tricks to avoid situations like today. Speaking of my friends I still haven't send them inventations for tommorow. Must think of thats after I get up later.'' With her minds at her friends she begann to lay down and pulled her blanket above herself. With one final thought she drifted into sleep. '' How had my friends dealed with a hangover today?''
