Felix had really bitten off more than he could chew this time.
He needed to infiltrate Canterlot castle, and why? Because he knew that the Princesses somehow held the knowledge of what A basic fourteen-year-old boy like Felix was doing in the mystical land, Equestria.
Felix knew that he had little time before daybreak, and that he would need to make it quick. He knew that his dark clothes would be seen almost instantly in the sunlight. He decided his point of entry was a small window that appeared unguarded. But he knew that there were guards around somewhere. Now would be a great time for a cloaking device. Felix thought grimly as he made his way into the castle.
The window was unguarded, but not for long. Felix knew that he stood no chance along the many paths on the walls. He decided that the best course of action was to stay hidden, in any way possible. Does this castle have a basement? he thought quickly. It would probably be the least guarded path. Felix heard voices around the next corner. Two guards were talking about the sightings of him in ponyville. He tried to listen to their converstation. "...the most bizarre thing i've heard of. But, the Princess's apprentice said she saw it..." one guard pointed out. the other nodded. "I heard that Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are holding a meeting with them. Makes for one hell of a story." Felix's heart skipped a beat. Twilight was meeting with the princesses? Today? He had less time than he had realized. Felix silently sneaked behind the two guards and continued his way down the hall.
Felix didn't know what was worse, the fact that the fortress was absolutely swarming with guards, or that fact that the castle was one giant maze. His A.D.D affected it brutally. Soon Felix thought that everything looked different than it had before, small details that he would notice. A vase here, a guard there. He must have been wandering in the castle for at least an hour. Until it seems luck had bestowed upon him.
Felix noticed the door to Princess Celestia's room, down the hall from where he was skulking in the shadows. Two guards stood outside the door like hawks. He knew there was no way he'd be able to sneak past them. Then Felix remembered.
Didn't Celestia have a balcony? I could sneak out a window and over to it... Felix thought. He wasn't a great climber, and his acrophobia affected him more than most others, but he knew he had to do it.
Felix made his way back around until he got to the window. The security in the place is terrible. I haven't even been noticed yet! Felix mused as he glanced out. He looked down. Bad idea. Felix assumed instantly as he began to feel ill. He climbed out onto the outside of the great castle. Don't look down. He repeated to himself as he scaled across to the balcony. He knew consiously well that he stand out like black ink on paper. Black clothes on marble brick. Though it felt like forever, he finally made it to the balcony. He needed to check inside the room. Felix slowly opened the door into Celestia's quarters. She wasn't there. She must be at the meeting.
Felix waited for about three minutes, lost in thought. His doubts were starting to overcome him. What did Twilight tell her? will she even believe me? He continued pondering until he heard a voice outside. It sounded noble, elegant, and kind. Princess Celestia! he knew that she would come! But the next part came as a shock to him. The Princess was being escorted by Twilight and Rainbow! "I know that the libraries hold nothing. I had been trying to do my own research-" Celestia broke off as she noticed Felix standing in the dead center of the room. "There it is!" Twilight shouted. The two friends and the Princess assembled in a line. There was no escape.
Felix darted back out onto the balcony. He was thinking quickly. I couldn't possibly get past them, and I couldnt climb back to the window without getting shot off. Felix pondered quickly. Then it hit him. The only possible way out of the situation.
Felix turned around to see them standing behind him standing there. "Give up, Alien. you're trapped." Princess Celestia said in a gentle tone.
Felix stepped up onto the railing.
"What do you think you're doing?" Rainbow asked.
Felix was torturing himself with his descision.
He spread his arms out.
And leaned backwards, over the edge.
He heard them all gasp as he felt nothing but the embrace of acceleration.
