Chapters Cutie HIgh School
The First Day
"Finally, now everyone else will stop treating us like babies!" Rainbow Dash rushed by on her roller blades, excited to meet all the other cool people in her class. Twilight Sparkle rolled her eyes and giggled a bit. Yeah, I suppose so. She thought to herself happily. All Twilight was interested in was seeing all the teachers and learning everything that was being offered.
"I'm with you there, sister!" Pinkie Pie, dressed in a light pink skirt, white tights and a dark pink shirt, jumped along side Rainbow Dash. They had been looking forward to pranking some people like they did in the weekends. The small sound of footsteps came from behind Twilight Sparkle, who had in her hand someone else's hand. The girl was Fluttershy. What about all my critter friends? Will they be okay? All these thoughts rushed through her head as she was dragged to the large building that awaited them.
"Come on, Fluttershy. It's not that scary. No one's going to make fun of you, they'll be nice. Besides, I suppose there won't be too many people." Twilight tried her best to comfort her pink haired friend. It made her feel a little better as they all walked into the stone building ahead. Many other students were walking into the building, most of them the same age as the group of 6. "Hey...she looks familiar." Twilight pointed out a blonde haired girl wearing a grey dress with bubbles on it. She noticed Twilight looking at her eyes so covered them with her hands and ran inside. "Maybe we can meet her later."
"C'mon, y'all! Stop stadin' there and admirin' the scenery!" Applejack was running side by side with Rainbow Dash who was still on wheels. Rarity was walking next to Fluttershy, attempting not to get the dirt on her from the two others who were running.
"My, my! Look at all those people. Be sure to be as polite as possible, Fluttershy dear." Polite? Fluttershy thought excitedly to herself. As long as they're polite to me i'm sure to be polite to them! Surprisingly enough saying that there were lots of people didn't make Fluttershy feel uneasy. She already knew some of the other people so it wouldn't be a problem, right?
"Of course i'll be polite to the others, Rarity. You know me." Silently the two giggled as Twilight let go of Fluttershy's hand. "She seems in a hurry. What do you think she's doing?" Twilight had noticed the library and had ran over to the window to see all that it had to offer. She began drooling accidentally so wiped her mouth and the window with a tissue she conveniently had in her bag that hung over her shoulder.
Rainbow Dash and Applejack reached the door and entered in when Rainbow Dash had taken off her roller blades. She carefully put them in her bag and then brought out a pair of trainers, putting them on being careful not to get the lace in the side of the denim. 5 minutes after the rest walked through the doors and gazed at what they saw in front of them. This wasn't a normal high school. "This is probably why it's called 'Cutie' High." Twilight sounded slightly shocked, though the rest of them guessed it was because of what laid in front of them.
It wasn't a building with wooden floors inside, but it was filled with plant life and ponds...the walls on the inside were all glass, which was different from the outside. The outside appearance had been stone bricks and a metal roof. When Pinkie Pie looked upwards she saw that there were several floors to the school. The walls were made of glass too, but the floor was different. It was made of glass with small plant pots in the corner of each flight of stairs. "What is this place..." Twilight whispered to herself happily. There were ponds on the bottom floor and students with their shoes off with their feet in the water.
"This is just...awesome!" Rainbow Dash ran over to a ladder which lead to a small patch of cloud. That was where she would relax and study. Hesitantly she stepped onto the cloud with her eyes shut, though she merely stood there. When her foot was placed upon the cloud there was a cloud above it in letters that formed 'Rainbow Dash.'
"I'll be looking for our classroom-" Twilight interrupted herself when she realised that the upstairs were just more of this paradise. "Never mind!" Excited, Rarity walked over to a crystal pond, took her shoes off and diped her feet in the water. Rainbow Dash lay on her back and looked into the sky above. She could barely make it out because of all the glass in front but there was enough revealed that she could relax. Unexpectedly a small transparent screen appeared above her head.
"Morning, Miss. Rainbow Dash. Don't worry, i'm real. Not just a computer. Now tell me, what lesson would you like today?" A voice came from the transparent screen as a transparent book and pen appeared at her side.
"Is there a subject I can learn some tricks on my roller blades on? It is my passion to be the greatest athlete one day, and I suppose you're going to help me with that. School is about helping the students get their dream job, right?" Rainbow Dash rolled onto her belly, hoping that the screen with the teacher's appearance on it would move to where her eyes were, which it did.
"I'm sure we have a book that could help you with that, Rainbow Dash. And yes, you are...partially right about the dream job. We don't help you earn a job, as you can probably tell this isn't a normal school. What we do is we have decided you and some other students deserve better. What we do is each student has their own teacher, like I am yours, and we learn about your personality and you in general so you can reach your destiny. When you reach it we will give you a life mark somewhere on your body, you can decide where, and it will have a special symbol to resemble what your special talent is. Sound simple enough to you?" The woman giggled a little, as did Rainbow Dash, though the only different was the rainbow haired girl sounded slightly confused.
"Yeah, that's simple enough. No wonder this school is so big! I'm not really into learning, but as I said I want to be an athlete, and if you can help me with that then I am in paradise right now." Rainbow Dash sounded overly excited after she had thought over what her teacher had said. "So, what you should I refer to you as?"
"Oh, you can call me Blaze Heart. I had the desire to be an athlete too, but then I thought I should teach other people what I know about it. I have a proposal for you after the lesson, Rainbow. Now, let me send you the book about tricks. Let me see...there it is!" A window popped up on the screen with information and pictures. "You can scroll down by touching the screen, by the way." Blaze Heart smiled at Rainbow Dash as she smiled back in thanks.
Happily, Pinkie Pie skipped over to a velvet picnic table and made herself comfortable. The screen appeared in front of Pinkie Pie as it had done to Rainbow Dash. "Ooo, shiny! It looks like one of those things from those sci-fi books Twilight reads!"
"Oh hi, Pinkie Pie!" A voice came from Pinkie's screen. The girl sounded excited, though her voice sounded like she was only 16. "I looked at your performance reviews from last year and I see you like party's and baking! That's probably why the head master chose me as your teacher. They always do that. Choose a teacher who's personality matches the students so they get along! Anyway, sorry. I talk a lot. I'm guessing you want to make a cake or something?" The girl had lilac coloured hair and was wearing a dress with puffed up sleeves. She had put a beautiful pink bow in her long, straight hair.
"Can you read minds or something? That's exactly what I want to do!" A balloon appeared on the side of the velvet table with the name 'Pinkie Pie' on it. "Don't worry about talking too much! I love talking! We'll get along great!" The teacher reached out her hand for a virtual high five from Pinkie, so she took it and grinned.
"So, Pinkie Pie, what do you want to bake? Cake, cookies, cupcakes, or something completely different? I've got a little twist for you!" The teacher grinned at Pinkie Pie in friendly way just so that she wouldn't feel uneasy about a challenge.
"Well, I was wondering if maybe I could do chocolate swiss rolls filled with cream! Mmm, yummy." Pinkie Pie licked her lips just at the thought of stuffing her mouth with some chocolate swiss roll. She wouldn't even care if it was virtual or not because she assumed they would have done some more crazy technical thing that allowed you to taste the food.
Oh yes, swiss roll! Always my favourite. Let me find my recipe file and put the instructions for you...there it is." The same thing happened to Pinkie Pie that happened to Rainbow Dash; the information and the pictures showed up on the screen. The only difference was that a transparent oven appeared on the velvet table, so did a mixing bowl, a whisk, measuring cups, some coco powder and all the other ingredients to make chocolate swiss rolls. "The twist is that you are going to take the recipe and add some ingredients of your own. I'll put up another screen that allows you to bring in the extra ingredients when you're ready. Also, you can touch the screen to scroll down on the recipe page. Another thing to remember is that even though everything i've given you for this is virtual doesn't mean you can't burn the food or yourself, just to make sure that when you go in to real baking you know what you're doing. Don't be afraid to ask me for some help. I'll be here watching that you're doing and we can talk about each other." Pinkie Pie looked at the ingredients list and measured everything out in the measuring cups.
Rarity signed in relief that her aching feet were now getting better from the warm water they were submerged in. The screen appeared for Rarity as it had for the other two, surprising her slightly. "Why, this school is odd. I'm sure Sweetie Belle would enjoy it."
"Oh, silly Rarity! You're suppost to stand on the water, dear." A voice came from the screen. Then the teacher's face appeared. She looked like a very pleasant lady who liked fashion and making other people pleased. "Go on, don't be scared. Most students are often scared they're going to fall into the water if they try it." Magically the water began to lift up into the shape of a table and a chair. The pond expanded, making the entire room expand, though the other students didn't feel a thing. Hesitantly Rarity tiptoed onto the water, which held her weight and allowed her to stand on it. Relieved, she lay the heals of both her feet onto the warm water below her.
"Well this is strange. How do you know my name, anyhow? This school is very unusual, though it's very pleasant...like a paradise." The large space behind Rarity's chair went down into itself and formed her name; 'Rarity.' "I do hope i'm not going to get lectured about science. My true dream is to be a fashion designer...the greatest of all. Not to glote or anything."
"Why yes, this school is quite unusual. Though it's because we thought you and your friends deserve better. I'm sure you're going to ask me about all the nature and park themed areas. You see, every student gets their own place to work, slightly like an office. Well, by slightly I mean very. And yes, I know your pasion is designing. I read your performance review and we seem to have been put together because of the same desire. I'll teach you everything I know about fashion, every technique and everything that's in style. I'm your own personal teacher, Rarity." The blonde haired lady clearly had a good sense in fashion, as did Rarity. They were wearing the same kind of dress just with different accessories. "Now tell me, dress or skirt. Which one would you like to make for today's lesson?"
Rarity gasped in excitement. She couldn't decide! "I suppose since I am wearing a dress i'll make a skirt that I can wear tomorrow if it's done by then. I'm sure that would be okay." Rarity spoke in her more formal voice to sound more polite. At that very moment a transparent, purple sewing machine appeared on the desk, along with some needles, thread and several rolls of white fabric.
"Don't worry about the fabric choices." Another screen appeared on the right of her. "Press your finger against any of these colours and one of your rolls of fabric will turn that colour. Also, when you're done with making the dress we'll use our special program to make it wearable in real life so that it won't be virtual anymore."
The tinkle of Twilight's shoes on the glass floor satisfied her as she ran up the stairs to find a room filled with books. After minutes of looking she found it. Twilight opened the door in an excited manner, and what she saw was amazing. She could see outside through the huge glass windows, and there were too many bookshelves to even count. The amount of students there was amazing, and she knew she would fit right in. Excited, Twilight ran over to a vacant desk right next to the window so she could see outside whenever she wanted."My dream house..." She whispered to herself.
Instead of the screen appearing in the air the screen appeared on the window slightly below her eye level so that she could still see outside. "Ah, Twilight Sparkle, I presume. Just so you know my name is Shine Spirit. You can call me Shine." Twilight's eyes met directly with the woman's eyes. The blue haired lady was wearing purple square glasses and her hair was in a fish tail braid. Her smile was friendly, and that made Twilight feel even more at home. "I'm sure you don't want to talk and you want to get right down to your study, or would you like to ask some questions first?" A book hovered in the air next to Twilight, and the cover read 'Twilight Sparkle' in order for people to know that it was her private study area.
"Well, i'd like to ask one question involving my friends. I was wondering if we will all be able to visit each other at break times? I noticed when I was going up the stairs over here there was a swimming pool. Is that open for hang outs?" Twilight sounded desperate though filled with the excitement at the same time. She wouldn't want to be parted from her friends, but she was sure, considering how nice the school was, that her teacher would tell her that they would be able to see each other.
"Of course, Twilight. Though you have to book the swimming pool for a day, you don't have to pay though, that's a plus. Now that i've answered your question, would you like to get on with the lesson?" Twilight nodded eagerly at Shine Spirit. "Right then. According to your performance review in a science lesson you asked why magic doesn't exist. Though you'll find it does exist. In fact, it has a lot to do with legends and concentration. So, would you prefer to study science or magic? Remember, this is a very important decision. Depending on which one you choose you'll study it for the rest of the time at this school...and probably the rest of your school years." Twilight's eyes lit up as soon as Shine Spirit said 'You can study magic.' She had always wanted to somehow use magic, but she didn't know how because of course she didn't have a horn to perform the spells with. According to her brother magic was all illusions, though she didn't believe it. Now she knew it was real and she could prove Shining Armour wrong.
"Magic! All the way!" A wall appeared around Twilight to block out all the noise. There was no door but Shine Spirit told her the wall would be taken away after the lesson was finished. Not only did a wall appear, but a book hovered in front of her, along with a pen. The book wasn't virtual like the sewing machine and the oven, it was a physical object just like Rainbow Dash's as well, but the pen was also real.
"Look at this image and write down exactly what you think it represents." At that moment a colourful image appeared on the screen as Twilight began to take notes with full concentration.
Applejack leaned against an apple tree that was in the middle of a small orchard. The screen appeared in front of Applejack as it had done with the other 4. "What on earth?" She picked up her hat that lay next to her and put it on, neatly putting her hair over her shoulder. The woman on the screen had dark brown hair and was wearing blue overalls. "Oh, so this is the thing that i've seen everyone havin'!"
"Hi there, Applejack! No questions i'm sure, so let's get down to business. Would you like to buck apples OR you can do farming. I'm experienced in both so don't worry. Oh! Also, my name's Zap Fruit." Zap seemed to want Applejack to start instantly. Someone doesn't have any patience... Applejack rolled her eyes and said she wanted to do apple bucking. "Okay, that sounds good. Now, this may be a little difficult but it's the special way to shake apples off the trees. What you need to do is back away a little until you're a fair distance away from that tree you're leaning against." And so Applejack backed away from the tree and did as Zap Fruit said. "This is where it gets tricky. I know from your performance review that you're quite skilled in gymnastics, so this may be slightly easy. What you need to do is run up to the tree, put your foot on it and push yourself backwards. While you're doing this you can't stop moving until you're on the ground. An easy trick to doing this is putting both your feet on the tree and do a backwards flip, though to do this well you have to be quite high up when running on the bark of the tree. Give it a go, won't you? Don't be worried about getting hurt."
Applejack grinned and pulled the brim of her hat down slightly. "Backflip, ey? Well, y'all should know i'm pretty good when it comes to fancy things like that!" The tree now had 'Applejack' engraved on it the second before she started running towards the tree. Skill-fully, she put both her feet on the bark of the tree, grabbed a top branch and threw herself over. Half of the apples on the tree fell into a bucket, though the success left Applejack with cuts on her hands, though Zap Fruit was right. It wasn't painful.
"Woah! First try and you've already got it. I guess your athletic skills helps a lot. Keep on trying and you'll be perfect. Then you can go onto the next level of your...harvesting studies." Zap Fruit sounded impressed, so Applejack continued to knock the apples off the trees.
Fluttershy had remember that she was told to sit in the meadow until break time so that's what she did. Admiring the scenery she gasped when she saw a baby bunny. "Why, hello there, little bunny!" The bunny hopped over to her and sat on her yellow skirt. Fluttershy blushed a little. She always liked animals but she never knew bunny's could like her so much, though maybe it was that particular bunny. "Are you lost?" The bunny shook its head as to say no as Fluttershy picked him up so that she could stand up. "Do you want to play a game?" It nodded and began to run around. The bunny waved its hand at Fluttershy as to say 'Come on, let's play chase.' Fluttershy didn't realise it but the screen was in the place where she had been sitting, though since she was busy playing chase with her new bunny friend she didn't notice it.
After 20 minutes of chase Fluttershy took off her shoes and walked over to the public pond. She took her socks off and dipped her feet in the water, hoping one of her friends would come along to see her because it was break time. 5 minutes later Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie came over to the pond and took their shoes off as well, dipping their feet in the warm water. "Wow, my teacher's awesome! Blaze Heart doesn't talk about boring stuff like science, she teaches me how to do all these cool tricks on my wheels. What have you been doing, Pinkie Pie?" Rainbow Dash questioned her hyper, pink haired friend.
"I cooked up some Chocolate Swiss Roll. My teacher told me I was to put my own spin on the recipe I was given. Did I tell you my picnic table is made of velvet? It is so comfy!" Pinkie Pie splashed her feet in the water from excitement of what the next lesson was. She knew at some point she would be told about what ingredient does what. "What about your Fluttershy?"
"I...I played chase with a bunny. It was quite fun, i'll be honest. I called the bunny Angel, he's quite nice and a quick hopper! You all understand how much I like animals, right?"
"Of course we do, Fluttershy!" Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie said simultaneously.
"Hey, guys!" Twilight came running with Rarity and Applejack by her side. "I booked us a swimming pool for break time. They're lending us swim suits, c'mon!" Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy left their shoes by the pond and ran behind the other three.

Underwater Wonder
All 6 had finished putting on their swim suits and were in the pool. Applejack waited until everyone was in the pool before she did a cartwheel and front flipped into the swimming pool. "Woah! Cool one AJ!" Rainbow Dash praised her blonde haired friend as she blushed a little. "Thanks for hooking us all up, Twilight!" Quickly Applejack winked at Rainbow Dash. Her rainbow haired friend jumped into the air as Applejack put her hands up. Like lightning Rainbow Dash grabbed Applejack's hands and flung herself over her, making her blonde haired friend fling into the air and land back in the water along with Rainbow Dash.
Twilight and the others' jaws dropped. "How did you...what?!" Pinkie Pie applauded the two as they high fived each other.
"Who wants to play underwater tag?" Twilight questioned all of her friends while they cheered 'yes!' "Pony, pony, who's a silly pony. The silly pony is..." She pointed at each individual person, chanting the tune that decides who is going to tag people. "Applejack! That means you're not it." Applejack cheered before she hung on Rainbow Dash's arm. "Pony, pony, who's a silly pony. The silly pony is..." Yet again Twilight was pointing at everyone. "Rarity!" Rainbow Dash sighed as Fluttershy swam next to Pinkie Pie. "Pony, pony, who's a silly pony. The silly pony is Twilight Sparkle! Also known as me." Twilight repeated the chant until the game was decided. Pinkie Pie was going to tag people. "Remember, if you get tug that means you have to stand in the same spot until someone touches you. Pinkie Pie, no guarding!"
"Oh, come on! Why do I have to be it?" Pinkie Pie pouted as she swum around in the pool attempting to tag her friends. Eventually she got Rarity. "I got Rarity, I got Rarity! Nyeh nyeh nyeh nyeh!" Pinkie Pie cheered as she continued to swim around her friends like a shark.
"This is boring..." Rainbow Dash complained as Applejack joined in. "Can we play something else?" They didn't realise it was time for their lessons to begin again. The only one that saw it was Twilight for she had been waiting. All she had wanted to do was please her friends, she seemed to achieve that. Well, apart from the game of tag.
"Guys! It's lesson time!" Twilight alerted her friends. They quickly scurried out of the pool, into the changing rooms and put their clothes back on after drying themselves with the towels they were given. "Next time we'll bring our own things. I think for now we'll stick with the mini ponds in the main entrance." The group of six ran downstairs until they reached their destinations. When they reached the bottom floor they saw the students leaving.
Twilight went straight to reception and asked "Excuse me, why is everyone leaving?" The lady glared at Twilight as if she was her worst enemy.
"School's over. It's 12 'o clock right now. You should have left an hour ago." She sounded as if she hated everyone she met, and her eyes were grey. The group just moved a long and ran out the doors. When they walked outside the group saw the blonde haired girl dressed in grey again.
"She looks...surprisingly upset." Remarked Twilight. "Let me go see her." Rainbow Dash and Applejack stayed behind so that Rainbow could put her roller blades back on. "Excuse me, miss?" The girl turned around and looked at Twilight who stood there, letting her purple hair blow in the wind. Twilight noticed one of her eyes was looking in a different direction to the other. "Are you okay?"
The girl sniffed, tears rolling down her cheeks. "You're just going to make fun of me, aren't you!" She closed her eyes as tears fell to the ground. Her dress was soaked with tears and her bag was filled with loose letters, a pencil case and a notepad. "It's hard to live like this. Everyone making fun of you whenever you open your eyes! I bet you'll just...say i'm stupid...something like that!" Twilight could barely understand what the girl was saying from all the crying that was overlapping her speech.
"No, i'm not going to make fun of you. You looked a little upset so I came to see what was wrong. I'm Twilight Sparkle, pleasure to meet you." To the girl Twilight seemed a little bit forward. Come on, Ditzy. You've got to stop doubting people, you need to have some courage! The girl thought to herself and instantly stopped crying. She opened her eyes and looked at Twilight. Well, she attempted to.
"I-I'm Ditzy Doo. Most people call me Derpy Hooves. They seem to think I walk like a pony and- Actually, I don't want to talk about that. So, you were wondering if I was upset?" Ditzy Doo smiled shyly at Twilight while Fluttershy stared from behind the two.
"Well, yes. I saw you this morning. All I wanted to tell you was that your dress looks nice on you." Twilight pulled her bag back onto her shoulder because it was slipping. Ditzy Doo giggled a little bit.
"Well, my little sister made it. She gave it to me for my birthday. Her name's Dinky Doo. Such a sweet heart, i'll be honest." Ditzy Doo blushed a little bit. She was very proud to have such a talented little sister. "Sorry for trying to avoid you this morning, Twilight Sparkle."
"Oh, it's okay. And most of my friends just call me Twilight." She reached out for a handshake as Ditzy shyly took it. "Why don't you walk home with me and my friends? I'm sure they'll like you. It's always nice to meet new people." Twilight smiled kindly at her new friend as they walked side by side while the others followed. Rainbow Dash and Applejack raced ahead. "We were all going to go to my house. You want to come?"
"Oh, yes please, if it's not too much trouble." Fluttershy was walking next to Ditzy, trying to get her attention.
Eventually she said "Umm..excuse me...miss..." Ditzy looked at Fluttershy and smiled. "What...What's your name?" Fluttershy blushed a little. She didn't want to be rude so told Ditzy Doo her name. Ditzy told Fluttershy hers and began talking to her. "My hobbies? Oh...umm...looking after animals I suppose. They're lovely creatures."
"I agree, but my hobby is blowing bubbles. I spend hour after hour trying to make the perfect sphere. Sometimes I daydream about being inside a bubble and wandering around the world. One day I hope to entertain people with my bubbles and let them ride inside them. I just need to figure out how..." Ditzy started looking into the sky and dreaming. "I love bubbles..."

Sleeping Over
All of the group were asleep on the floor, quietly breathing. Ditzy Doo was sat in the corner of the room wearing a blue and grey one piece. Sleepily she yawned and curled up her toes inwards, resting her head gently against the wall. Her amber eyes glistened in the dark room where only a small shard of moon light came into the room.Silently she rubbed her fingers on the carpet, watching as Rainbow Dash slept. She's beautiful... Ditzy thought to herself. Is her hair naturally like that or does she dye it? She sleepily smiled before she lay down next to her pile of folded clothes and her shoes.
Ditzy Doo closed her eyes, put her hands to her chest and rested her chin on her knees. The blackness she saw comforted her from seeing all of the blurred images that normally lay in front of her. A swift breeze drifted through the room as the curtains fluttered in the breeze. Ditzy opened her eyes to see Fluttershy smiling at her, hair in a tight pony tail. Fluttershy placed her hand on Ditzy's pale soft skin and lifted her head up to face hers. "I can't sleep, Ditzy. I'm having nightmares and I saw that you weren't asleep yet." Fluttershy shifted herself to sit down next to Ditzy. She crossed her legs and rested her head in her hands.
Ditzy put her legs up and rested her chin on her knees as she had done before, and wrapped her arms around her legs. "I can understand why, Fluttershy." Silently Ditzy picked up her amber coloured blanket and lay it over herself, as did Fluttershy with her pink blanket. "I'm worried about my little sister. She's been getting teased for...her big sister having these crazy eyes." The big sister she was referring to was herself. She didn't want to say so because she would make herself upset about the 'Derpy' eyes. Fluttershy lay her hand on Ditzy's shoulder to comfort her.
"I am worried about things too. You see...I enjoy animals. I have quite a few pets but I don't know if they'll be okay." Fluttershy's voice was gentle and quiet, enough to stop Ditzy from worrying. "We should go to sleep..." And so Ditzy lay her head back down on her pillow and put herself into the same position she was in before; Chin rested on her knees and hands on her chest. She closed her eyes and pulled the blanket over herself, sighing as she fell asleep to dream like the others.
"Wow, big sis! You did it! I'm so proud!" Dinky Doo praised her big sister as she blushed while a giant bubble drifted through the sky. Dinky watched her sister float higher and higher in the bubble she was contained in. "I want a go, Ditzy!" But at that point Ditzy was so high in the air she couldn't hear her sister. Ditzy Doo stood up in the bubble before it popped and she was falling from cloud level. Dinky Doo watched in horror as she tried to reach out her hand to catch her big sister by the arm, but it was no use.
"Ahhhh! Someone help me!" Ditzy screamed at the top of her lungs but no one could hear her at the hight she was at. Ditzy clutched her bubble wand, attempting to open the bottle. Once the small bottle was open she threw the lid into the air and grabbed the wand. She stuck it into the bubble liquid and blew as hard as the could. The vast amount of wind that was rushing by her helped make a larger bubble. The bubble was where Dinky stood and way above where Ditzy was now, so she jumped into the bubble over the bars on the balcony.
Dinky shouted at the top of her lungs "I'm coming, big sis!" Ditzy's eyes lit up the colour of stars. The sudden realisation of Dinky's plan struck her. Ditzy reached out her hand, the rest of her body still falling. The bubble was now too high up so, bravely, Dinky jumped out from the bubble and grabbed onto the bars of someone else's balcony, barely catching her big sister.Ditzy pulled her self up Dinky's arm while still clutching her bubble wand.
Once Ditzy was on the balcony Dinky lost her balance on the bars and fell, clutching a ripped part of Ditzy's shirt which had a bubble sewn onto it. That was it. Ditzy couldn't do anything. All she could do was stand there with tears in her eyes as she watched her sister fall, wishing that she could save her.
Ditzy Doo opened her eyes, breathing heavily. It was morning and Pinkie Pie was already dressed in her puffy sleeved shirt, waking everyone up. Ditzy rubbed her eyes and got undressed and then dressed into her clean clothes; A grey t-shirt, blue-grey shorts, white socks and her normal black boots. She hung her mail bag over her shoulder and sat on Twilight's bed. Rainbow Dash was nearly completely dressed. All she needed to put on was her socks and shoes. Rainbow Dash picked up some rainbow coloured fingerless leather gloves and slipped them on. "Oh wow. I slept like a baby last night!" She told everyone with an excited tone.
Applejack brushed her hair with a orange comb and took two red hair ties from her school bag. She tied one of them at the top end of the pony tail and another at the bottom end. Once she had finished she put her t-shirt and shorts on, taking her brown farm boots from next to her bag. Finally she put her brown cowgirl hat on and went to sit next to Rainbow Dash who was on top of Twilight's closet.
Fluttershy was awake with her normal clothes on, but was still tying her denim shoes' lases. The yellow shoes went all the way up to her knees and the laces went from top to bottom. Ditzy giggled a little and bent down to help Fluttershy tie her laces. "Thanks, Ditzy." Fluttershy thanked Ditzy Doo kindly before smiling in a friendly manner.

Cutie High School
The Cutie Mark Crusaders
The girls were on their way to the school now, each of them wearing the clothes from yesterday that Twilight had washed. Rainbow Dash and Applejack were racing a head as they always did while Ditzy Doo trailed behind the rest of them. She shuffled her hand around in her bag and took out her yellow and grey mobile phone. Her fingers moved across the touch screen as she dialed in Dinky Doo's mobile number. On Dinky's end the phone hummed a tune that sounded like 'My Little Pony' but more 8-bit sounding. Barely feeling the vibration in her pocket, Dinky picked up her purple and yellow phone, flipped the screen open and saw that it was Ditzy calling. Immediately she pressed the 'Pick up' button, put the device to her ear and said "Derpy! Aren't you suppost to be at school by now?" Ditzy Doo smiled as she heard the words 'Derpy.' It was the nickname Dinky had given her, and she found it less offensive than Ditzy. Other people had picked up on it and had started calling her 'Derpy Hooves' but she didn't want them to know she liked it...of course she didn't like being called 'Hooves' though.
"No, it's actually quite early. I'll pick you up from school today. I have some spare change in my pocket," Ditzy Doo put her hand in her right pocket and shuffled around, touching the ridges in the coins. "So I can buy you a muffin if you like. I need to catch up now, gotta go!" Before Dinky could reply Ditzy hung up and stuffed the phone back into her bag after turning it off. Ditzy had noticed two girls who were walking side by side and put her phone away to make sure she wouldn't be distracted if they were to take notice of her. The girl on the left had turquoise and white hair, and the other girl to the right of her had dark pink and blue hair. The two had noticed Ditzy but just walked on by, barely taking notice to her strange eyes. "Wait for me!" Ditzy waved at the 6 who had already reached the school gates. Small puffs of dust trailed behind Ditzy as she ran after her new made friends while they stood at the school doors, waiting for her.
"Come on, Ditzy!" Rainbow Dash shouted cheerfully at Ditzy who was now at the school doors. All 7 of them walked into the school and lined up for registration. "Urg," Rainbow grunted impatiently. "C'mon line. Hurry up!" Eventually the line actually did 'hurry' up and it was time for the 7 to tick off their names and get back to their lessons. "I need to go see Blaze Heart, don't wanna be late! She told me to come to her office today. Number 169 on floor 4." Excitedly Rainbow Dash ran over to the stairs and ran up them, listening to the relaxing tinkle under her feet. The sound was quite satisfying and encouraged her to continue up the long flight of stairs.
Fluttershy sat down by the tree she had been near the day before and waited for Angel to come out and play. The small transparent screen appeared in front of her, shocking her slightly. Fluttershy noticed not only a screen had appeared but so had a pair of clip on transparent yellow wings. "Well dear? Aren't you going to put them on?" The lady on the screen said as Fluttershy reached her hand out slowly to the pair of transparent wings. Hesitantly Fluttershy stood up and buckled them around her waist, feeling much lighter than before.
"Umm...this is odd." Fluttershy turned to face the lady on the screen while she just told her to concentrate. The lady had told her to try and move to wings without touching them with her arms, and that she must pretend they're attached to her. Immediately Fluttershy closed her eyes and concentrated on nothing but the wings. A few pants of struggle were heard from her, but eventually the wings flapped gently, lifting her gradually into the air. Shocked, she opened her eyes only to see the ground below her, but her feet weren't...rested on it. "Ahh! Get me down from here, someone!" No one could hear Fluttershy because of how quiet her voice seemed to be at that time, but she decided to be brave and attempt to control where she was going.
Gently, Fluttershy leaned forward slightly, resulting in that she moved forward instead of upwards. Below her Fluttershy noticed Angel who was looking up at her happily. "Angel bunny!" Angel merely waved at her while she went higher and higher. Other critters came out and stood next to Angel, watching Fluttershy attempt to fly. Her facial expressions showed that she was obviously scared. "I wanna be at home! Locked in my closet with my teddy bear!" She cried, slowly descending down to the grass floor.
"When...does it...end!" Rainbow Dash ran up the stairs, panting as she went. After about half an hour of running and sweat, she reached the door to her teacher's office. Hesitantly Rainbow Dash knocked on Blaze Heart's, thick, wooden door. Slowly the door began to open, revealing a room which floor was made out of clouds. Blaze Heart came to greet Rainbow Dash and shook her by the hand.
"Ah, Miss. Rainbow Dash. Good to see you." A warm smile appeared on Blaze's face as Rainbow Dash noticed what she was holding in her hands. A button of some sort. She looked at it curiously, tempted to press it without asking her teacher's permission, but she resisted the urge to. Instead, she waited for Blaze to say something. Blaze had noticed Rainbow Dash's slightly confused look and giggled at herself. "I'm sure you're wondering what this is." She paused, gathering everything she would say to explain for Rainbow. "This is...a strange device. It is to be handeld carefully and should only be used by you, Rainbow."
"But what does it do?" Rainbow Dash questioned Blaze Heart in a confused manner. Her voice sounded slightly hoarse from not getting enough sleep the night before, resulting in it being hard for Blaze to understand what her student was saying. Eventually Rainbow Dash finished analyzing the device while she waited for her teacher's response.
"What does it do...yes, good question. When you press the button like so," Blaze Heart proceeded to press the silver button, holding it up to Rainbow Dash. "You can say if you are practising tricks or you're having a relaxation flight. Trick. " Blaze projected her voice into the small microphone inserted into the button. A small pause continued until eventually a large pair of blue wings appeared in Blaze's hands. "They're all yours. Forever, even when you leave this school." Tears of joy filled Rainbow Dash's eyes as her teacher placed the feathered wings in her hands. "Put them on, Rainbow. Then i'll show you the difference between relaxation mode and trick mode."
Immediately Rainbow Dash buckled the wings onto her back and, what had happened to Fluttershy, she felt lighter than usual. "Full concentration is required. Think only of the wings, air and flight."
Ditzy Doo walked calmly over to her own patch of cloud which was a floor above Rainbow Dash's cloud. She didn't have a teacher, at least not yet. "Guess i'll just...lie down and do nothing." Ditzy already had her pair of wings stuffed in her bag, and Fluttershy had noticed them. She didn't want to mention it just in case Ditzy thought she was snooping around in her bag. A small but violent vibration came from her bag, and as soon as she felt it she knew it was her phone. Instead of being excited and picking it up, she just rolled her eyes, sat up and rummaged through her bag for the small device. It was Dinky calling her again. Ditzy Doo yawned, put the phone to her ear and answered the call. "Dinky, aren't you suppost to be in class?"
"Nope. I need you to pick me up from school." Dinky had her bag over her shoulder and her coat stuffed into it. "Before you ask, i'm feeling sick."
"Right, okay. I'll go sign myself out of school then. This may look a little unusual when you see me though." Ditzy Doo hung up, jumped down from the cloud landing on her feet, and made her way towards the reception desk. "I need to sign out of school for a bit. I need to pick up my sister from school because she's sick." The man at the desk glared at her and mouthed the words 'Proceed to cross your name off the list.' And that's what she did. Ditzy pressed the button that she had been given and said 'Relaxed' as a pair of grey wings appeared in her hands. Their wasn't a buckle on this pair, there was just arm straps that were ajustable to size.
Ditzy slipped her arms into the straps and adjusted the size slightly smaller. She didn't even have to put her mind to flying, she seemed to just do it automatically. Sometimes she went slightly off course due to her eyes being 'lazy' but she just guessed where it was she was suppost to be going. People on the ground looked at her oddly while she just ignored them and kept on flying. Eventually Ditzy Doo arrived at her sister's school and went to the nurses office where her sister sat. "Ah, Ditzy Doo. You've come to pick up Dinky then?" Ditzy nodded as her sister climbed on her back. "I'll sign Dinky out at the office for you then." Ditzy just smiled in thanks as she left the room and went out of the school again through the emergency exit.
"Woah, sis! When did you grow wings?" Dinky asked in delight.
"Well, my new school gave them to me. They said I should practise flying as bubble practise. Strange really." Ditzy chuckled as she took flight with her sister holding onto her. Dinky admired the scenery from up above, not expecting to be taken to Ditzy's school. When they landed Ditzy began to explain to her little sister: "I can't just stay out of school for the whole day or...bad things will happen. So you need to join me for the day." Dinky jumped off her sister's back and held her hand tightly.
Author's Note
"Sometimes she went slightly off course due to her eyes being 'lazy." I know how it feels, Ditzy, I know how it feels. I have a lazy eye.
Cutie High School
The Accident
WARNING: This chapter contains quite a bit of violence. It would be preferred if sensitive readers be careful when reading this chapter, or if so don't read it at all. Thank you for your understanding. ^.^ Also, to all you Rainbow Dash fans...don't hate me. I love Rainbow Dash too!
"I'll see if I can get you some wings of your own, Dinky." Ditzy smiled at her sister warmly as they walked into the large building that was Ditzy's school. When they reached the reception desk Ditzy asked "Excuse me, sir. Is it possible to get my sister a pair of wings?" The receptionist looked up at Ditzy through his glasses, reached under his desk and gave her a transparent unicorn horn. "These aren't wings." She looked at the man confused while Dinky stared at her big sister.
"Dinky Doo is not capable of using wings. She is only capable of magic." A warm smile came to the man's face as he placed the unicorn horn in Dinky's hands. "Dinky, you shall be coming to this school next year. I can tell you no more. With this unicorn horn you must concentrate as much as you can when attempting to do magic. There is a hidden spell that you may figure out if you put your mind to it, and the magic will be real." Dinky looked at the man confused while she strapped the horn to her head, making sure her hair was overlapping the front of it. "I will sign you back in, Ditzy." The man signalled for Ditzy to move ahead towards her cloud.
"Come on, 'lil sis. Let's go to my study area and you can try some of your...magic." Ditzy sounded slightly strange when she said the word 'magic.' Yes, she believed in her little sister but she didn't believe that she would be able to levitate anything on her first try without the help of some kind of magic book. Dinky's phone from inside her pocket so she reached into it and pulled out the device. It was Apple Bloom calling her. Of course she answered it.
"Hey, Apple Bloom. What's up?" Dinky sounded calm until Apple Bloom shouted excitedly through the phone.
"I can't believe you got to go to Applejack's new school! And how come your sister can fly?! I want wings and I want them now! " Of course Apple Bloom did her usual 'I want it now' winey voice. Ditzy lay on her belly, looking down through a hole the had made in her cloud. She stared down at Rainbow Dash and smiled, not expecting the rainbow haired girl to look back up at her. As soon as Rainbow Dash noticed Ditzy she grabbed her bag, went to the stairs and ran up them to the floor Ditzy was on. She then ran over to Ditzy's cloud and sat next to the blonde haired girl while Dinky was still on the phone.
"I got a pair of wings, Ditzy! WINGS!" Rainbow Dash cheered, eventually noticing Ditzy's wings. She also saw that Ditzy was clutching the button both of them had. Slowly, Rainbow Dash took her button from her pocket and pressed the button, whispering 'Relaxed' into the small microphone. A blue pair of wings appeared in Rainbow Dash's hands before she slid her arms through the straps. She then tightened them and flew into the small amount of air above her. "Come on, Ditzy! Let's fly together!" Rainbow Dash smiled at Ditzy.
"'Kay, Rainbow. Dinky, i'm gonna go flying with Rainbow Dash. See you in a bit!" Dinky threw her phone down and grabbed onto Ditzy's leg as soon as she took flight, making Ditzy fall to the ground. Rainbow Dash looked blankly at Dinky, hints of shock hidden in her eyes. Ditzy lay on the ground while crowds of people gathered around her. Gasps and sighs came from the crowd as Pinkie Pie pushed everyone out of the way to help her injured friend.
The normal happy Pinkie Pie smile faded when she realized Ditzy's ankle had been cut half way to the knee. "Twilight~! " Pinkie Pie yelled, trying to take out a large shard of glass that had become stuck in Ditzy's leg. Rainbow Dash put Dinky on her back and began to fly, ready to find the other 4 girls. Twilight Sparkle had already started running down the glass stairs after she had heard Pinkie's cry.
Slowly, Ditzy attempted to get off of the glass floor, not noticing that the floor now had a crack in it where she lay. The damage had been caused by the fall. When Ditzy was finally sitting up she placed her 'good' foot on the glass floor and tried standing up, not expecting to be stopped by a large wave of pain. Twilight was now standing next to Pinkie, so whispered to her "You hold her by the legs and i'll carry her on the other side of you." And so Pinkie Pie put her right hand on the bottom of Ditzy's shorts and the other hand on the top. Twilight proceeded to do the same, just on the other side.
A small trail of blood followed behind Ditzy, while most of the red liquid was now covering most of her right leg. Rainbow Dash returned with the others and looked as Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle struggled to carry the injured friend. She rolled her eyes and told them to place her down on the glass so that she could carry her, because after all, she was the strongest of the group. "Applejack! You will need to put Ditzy on my back for this to work." Rainbow Dash commanded once Pinkie Pie and Twilight had followed her instructions.
"Yes, ma'am!" Applejack proceeded to pick up Ditzy and put her on Rainbow Dash's back. Once that was done Ditzy smiled at Rainbow Dash and wrapped her arms loosely around Rainbow Dash's neck, or even, slightly below. Rainbow Dash rested Ditzy's legs in her hands and began to fly, careful not to come close to a wall. Two girls in the crowd had followed the group; their names were Lyra and BonBon. The two looked genuinely worried about Ditzy so had decided to become a part of the chaos.
Fluttershy cringed slightly at the sight of blood and had decided to hide behind Rarity. The purple haired girl merely told her "Oh, don't worry! It's the colour of red velvet carpets." But that didn't comfort the shy animal lover one bit. Rainbow Dash looked around, only guessing where to go to find the nurses office. When Dinky saw Rainbow Dash's struggle she immediately reached into her pocket for her phone, though she remembered she had thrown it down onto the cloud.
Dinky ran back to the cloud and picked her damaged phone off of the ground. She then dialed Scootaloo's number and waited for an answer. When the purple haired girl picked up the phone, Dinky yelled into the phone; "Bring...the....girls....to...Cutie High School...NOW!"
Scootaloo nudged the phone slightly away from her ear and then asked "Why, Dinky?"
"Sister...bleeding...HURRY!" Dinky panted, waiting for a reply as Scootaloo told Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle to get in the cart. She would tell Cheerilee what happened.
"We'll be there soon, Dinky!" Jumping onto her scooter, Scootaloo hung up on her blond haired friend. Once Sweetie Belle had joined Apple Bloom in the cart, Scootaloo put her foot slightly behind the back wheel and pushed, repeating the same process each time she needed to gather more speed. "We need to help Dinky's sister, NOW!" Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle nodded as they raced on the path.
Ditzy Doo had passed out, but was still on Rainbow Dash's back.
"Dinky! How dare you hurt your sister like this!" The blonde haired woman screamed at Dinky as she backed away, tears flowing down her cheeks. Ditzy flew around the room, looking at a body that looked exactly identical to her own. She knew it wasn't true, she knew Dinky wouldn't have...wouldn't have killed her. Ditzy knew that she was dreaming, she just didn't want to open her eyes to see the blood that trickled down her leg. The dream froze, forcing her to wake up. "Rainbow...Dash..." She muttered. Tears rained down from her eyes like a storm while Rainbow Dash ignored the blood that was now covering her hands.
Rainbow Dash was now exhausted from carrying Ditzy and could barely keep her balance. They were at the stairs when Rainbow Dash tripped over the plant pot and nearly fell to her death. Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie were carrying Ditzy Doo after they had luckily caught her hand before Rainbow Dash nearly fell. The rainbow haired girl was now barely holding onto the edge of the support rail, and couldn't lift herself up. Tears streaked down her face as she told her friends "This is the end...isn't it."
Pinkie Pie and Applejack ran over to Rainbow Dash, but it was too late. As soon as they had reached her, she had let go. Tightly, Pinkie Pie held Applejack in a hug as she cried and cried, trying to hold back her tears. Twilight Sparkle held Fluttershy's hand and stood in silence, looking down at her feet. Rainbow Dash lay on the glass floor, motionless. No breathing could be heard...well, especially over everyone's crying. Rarity simply stared down at Rainbow Dash's body, tears slowly falling. "Rainbow Dash! " Ditzy screamed, coughing up blood as she did so.
Ditzy grabbed Pinkie Pie's hand and went downstairs, dragging the pink haired girl with her. When they reached Rainbow Dash's body, Pinkie Pie bent down next to her, as did Ditzy. A crowd formed around the body. One of the people in the crowd was Blaze Heart, Rainbow Dash's teacher. "Get her to the hospital, NOW!" Blaze Heart screamed at Pinkie Pie and Ditzy Doo, so they picked up Rainbow Dash and put her on Ditzy's back.
"Are you sure you can handle it, Ditzy? I mean, you're all injured and stuff, but I don't want you or Rainbow Dash gone forever! Just pinkie promise you'll be okay, okay?" Pinkie Pie begged Ditzy Doo, holding out her pinkie finger for Ditzy to link hers to it.
"I pinkie promise." Ditzy replied in a tired voice, linking her finger around Pinkie's. Struggling, Ditzy flew into the air and out of the building, heading towards the hospital. There, Scootaloo stood, watching in awe as Ditzy carried Rainbow Dash. When Ditzy noticed Scootaloo she flew down to her and said "I'm sure I can manage one more for the ride." Scootaloo grinned, waved goodbye to her friends and hopped onto Ditzy's remaining hand area that she wasn't holding Rainbow Dash with. "Come on, we need to be quick." Ditzy told Scootaloo as the young child looked up at her, confused.
"Why?" Scootaloo asked, looking back down at the land below. Ditzy gulped. Not because she was nervous, but because a large pocket of blood had started to fill her throat.
"Rainbow Dash has a chance of dying. It's all...my fault. If I had never gone to fly with her this never would have happened." Tears of shock filled Scootaloo's eyes as Ditzy attempted to see where she was going. The hospital wasn't too far away from the school, so they were now at the entrance, walking inside. Quickly, Ditzy pressed the button to put her wings away and walked over to the emergency desk. "Rainbow Dash needs a vacant room, immediately!" The receptionist nodded as she took Ditzy to a vacant room: Number 74.
When they entered Ditzy lay Rainbow Dash down on the white bed as a doctor told Scootaloo and Ditzy to leave. Ditzy let out a soft but painful sigh and held Scootaloo's hand as they left the building. "I'm sorry, Scootaloo... I can't do anything to help."
Scootaloo smiled shyly at Ditzy and said "It's okay. Not all of us are perfect."
Author's Note
Fun Fact: I cried when I was writing the scene where Rainbow Dash lets go to save Ditzy's life.
Another thing to note is that I have really never had to go to hospital so I don't know what it's like. I just guessed what it would be like, and I probably got it so so so wrong.
