Celestial Love Book 1: Odd Re-post
The Seed Is Planted
Load Full StoryNext ChapterHi there. My name is General Smiddy, and I've got a story to tell you.
I craved companionship growing up, as I had very few friends. I loved science, history, and reading, but was mocked by kids in my school and all over my hometown for it. It was because of this that I became a brony.
I started out as a closet brony, afraid of being harrassed even more by the bullies. But, one day, after hearing a song on youtube, made by a brony, for bronies, I felt better about my bronydom, and I began expressing it at school, at home, all across town, everywhere! I didn't care who knew, I didn't care if they called me shit like "ponyfag", or, "horse fucker", or any of that crap. Actually, nobody really made fun of me that much for being a brony, and I mostly just ignored the few insults I received.
As a brony, I of course had a favorite character. That character was Luna. I had always felt a connection to the moon, even when I was young, so I guess it made sense that Luna was my favorite character. But, it was more than just liking Luna. I... I loved her. I knew she wasn't real, so I didn't even think to myself that I loved her, but... I knew that I loved her, deep down. I just... I knew that it would just make me seem like a freak if I said I loved a cartoon character, but... Aw fuck, I just... I couldn't help it. I was in love with a technicolor pony, and it was weird, but... I didn't mind.
One morning as I was getting ready for school, I looked through the window. The crescent moon that early morning was beautiful. As She peeked her head through the window, I noticed that an odd light surrounded the moon. The light was growing stronger and stronger. Before long, the light was blindingly bright. Finally, when I could see again, who else should I be looking at but Luna, the pony I was in love with. "Who are you?" She demanded, extremely angry. I looked around, and I noticed I was in some kind of bedroom. I walked around a bit, arousing more anger from Luna. As I looked in an emerald mirror, I couldn't believe what I had become: I was an alicorn with only my front hooves and no rear. A scaled fish-tail was in their place. I was probably about 17 hands high, 6 hands long. I had alabaster fur, ruby red eyes, and blue-and-red mane. Upon my flank was a cutie mark that matched me well, both here, and in the real world: A trident.
I just stared at my reflection and what I had become. As I looked at the me-that-wasn't-me, Luna spoke again, angrier this time, stating, "Again, who are you, and what in Equestria are you doing in my bed chambers?!" I just turned and looked at her, dumbfounded to see the pony that I was in love with face to face. I just stuttered, choking out, "Uh... um, I, uh... Oh... God..." I was scared shitless. I didn't know what to do! I wasn't awkward around the opposite sex of my own species, but then again, I wasn't in love with any of them. Plus, I mean, I had just gone from a human getting ready for school to a fish-tailed creature from a technicolor cartoon! I mean, you couldn't really blame me for being confused.
It was then that I realized I was blushing, and I looked away in embarrassment. 'C'mon, you jackass, say something! ANYTHING!' I thought to myself, confused. Finally, I looked at my hooves, and spoke. "Good Princess," I began, still a bit frightened, though I was much more confident. "My name is Sir General Tridentus. I would be delighted to tell you my story, but I must say, you are even more beautiful in person."
"B-beaut...? What do you mean?" She asked, blushing a bit.
"Well, Good Princess, it's just, you are the most beautiful mare I have ever seen! I mean, I have only seen pictures of you, but, well, in person..."
"Beautiful? Why, there has never been anypony who said such a thing to me... I-I do not know... I mean, I am quite flattered, of course, but... Good sir, are you just toying with me? I certainly hope not, as I do not take kindly to those who tease me..." She replied, warning me with a threatening tone to her voice.
"Of course not, My Beautiful Princess! You are the most beautiful, most divine mare I have ever seen! Good lady, I just... Oh, my, I will of course tell you my story! But first, I must ask you: Would you please join me this night to sup? I just, I would like to get to know you. And of course, I will tell you who I am over the meal. Please, just agree, and I will be happy to tell you everything you want!"
The dark blue mare relaxed a bit when she realized I was serious, and she agreed, saying, "Well... I suppose so. I mean, it could not hurt. But mind you, I will not have anything improper!"
I grinned at her softly and replied, stating, "Oh, Good Princess, you don't have to worry anything of it! I'm a proper young stallion, and I don't plan to try any such things with you..." I chuckled a bit and continued, joking, "Unless, of course, you wanted to. Haha!" After that, Luna frowned a bit, then returned to her smiling expression and giggled a bit as well, knowing I wasn't ACTUALLY suggesting anything.
"Very well then," She continued, a wide yet refined grin upon her face. "I suppose I shall have dinner with you. Shall 7:00 P.M. at Fish Scales & Hay Hooves do for you, Sir Trident?"
"Anything for you, Good Princess. Oh, but if you will excuse me, I must be going. There is, eh, something I must attend to. I bid thee adieu!" I spoke as I turned to walk out the door. As I closed the door, I heard her swoon a bit, and I smiled, glad I had been able to get her to dinner. I left the castle and flew down to Ponyville, hoping to be able to get a job and somewhere to stay while I was here. I knew it might be a long time before I got home.
