Celestial Love Book 1: Odd Re-post
The Time to Sup
Previous ChapterNext ChapterI ended up flying down to Sweet Apple Acres and talking to Applejack. "Well, shoot," She exclaimed at the sight of me. "Ah ain't never seen nopony like you. Wha's yer name, stranger?
"Oh, uh, my name is General Tridentus. I'm what most might call a, sea alicorn. My people are a bit rare, so most have forgotten we even exist. But, in any case, I would like a job on your farm here, ma'am." I replied, a bit unsure of what to say. "Well then," Applejack continued. "Ah guess ya'll could herd the animals that stray from their grounds. They can be a bit difficult to control, but nothin' a strong fella like yerself can't handle. Right?"
"Right. Thank you very much for the job." I replied, glad to have the job. "Well, I'll be going now. Got to find somewhere to stay while I'm here. Good bye, ma'am."
"Well, alright then. See ya'll another time!" She said as I walked away.
As I flew around Ponyville, I was concerned about what I was going to do, and how I would get home. But, since there wasn't much I could do at that moment, I simply kept looking for somewhere to stay. It was about an hour before I came across the ad for a room.
For rent: 1 room, 130 bits a month, full bedroom, half bath. Inquire at the Carousel Boutique; Ask for Rarity
Well, after that, I flew right on over to the Carousel Boutique. When I got there, I walked in. Instantly, I was greeted with a smiling pink- and lavendar-maned unicorn filly. "Hi there mister! My name's Sweetie Belle. Can I help you?" The young unicorn spoke with vigor, cute yet startling. Despite the shock I felt at Sweetie Belle's surprising greeting, I put on a smile and chuckled. I spoke, saying, "Oh, my, well hello! Well, ah, is Rarity here? I noticed the ad about a room being for rent, and I needed somewhere to stay."
"Oh, sorry," Sweetie Belle replied. "She's actually not. I know you're probably in a hurry, but if you want, you're welcome to come in while you wait!"
I looked at a nearby clock. It' said it was only 3:00, so I nodded as I said, "Alright. Thank you." and followed the little unicorn inside.
As I passed through the door, allowing my tail to become visible, she didn't stare in astonishment. Most ponies here had stared when they saw me, so I was surprised. But, nevertheless, I never asked her, and she never said anything.
As I walked through the shop, I realized not only how beautiful the dresses Rarity made truly were, but also that she made more than just dresses and outer clothes. Oh no, apparently, she also made lingerie, gloves, boots, saddles... Pretty much any clothes that could cover a pony's body from hoof to ear! I was just... Amazed by the colors! There were reds, blues, greens, violets, yellows, mixtures, even colors I'd never seen before! It was amazing. I almost weeped at the beautiful colors there. 'Hmm...' I thought to myself. 'Maybe, if I were to be in a relationship with her, I could buy some things here for L-'
"Excuse me, mister!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.
"Wha?" I replied, snapping out of my trance.
Sweetie Belle giggled as she spoke again, asking, "Would you like a little tea?"
"Oh, uh... Sure, thank you! Thank you very much." I said, still a bit dazed. She smiled and then quickly ran off into a small room that I assumed was the kitchen. Once she got there, I got up and started looking at the different dresses and clothing. I touched each gently, as if I was handling an antique pot, and each time it touched my hoof and leg, it was softer than anything I had ever felt before.
"Finding things to your liking?" Sweetie Belle asked as she appeared from the kitchen again, holding a tray of tea and tea cakes. "Oh, eh..." I started, confused. "I'm, not really looking for anything, just... Looking at these dresses and clothes, they're just... So soft."
"Hehe. Well, they are made of the finest silk in all of Equestria!" She said as she handed me a cup of tea and a single pastry.
"And what kind of silk, pray tell, would that be?"
"Moonsilk." She replied with an almost frighteningly-happy face. I just grinned at the response and nodded my thanks as I began to slowly sip the tea. "Mm. Jasmine, my favorite. Thank you." I just sat there beside the small unicorn as we awaited the return of Rarity. Finally, at about 5:30, the door opened and Rarity came in, eliciting a cheer from Sweetie Belle.
"Rarity! Rarity! Someone answered to that ad you put up!" The young filly yelled as she embraced her big sister in a hug. "Oh, really? How wonderful!" The violet-maned mare said in her usual accent. "I certainly hope they're available! Now, where is this kind p- Oh my..." As Rarity gazed over my horn, wings, and tail, she immediatly started asking all sorts of questions. "Who-who are you, what are you, where are you from, blah blah blah blah!" Was all I could make out before Sweetie Belle suddenly stopped her. "Oh my, I've forgotten my manners. Please forgive me." She said.
"Uh... Sure. No sweat." I replied as I grinned slightly, trying to make the mare feel better.
"Oh, my, well then, um... Ok, let me begin. As you probably know, I am Rarity. And you are?"
"Tridentus. General Tridentus. But, honestly, I'd prefer General please." I returned.
"Alright then. So then, General, what type of... Um, pony are you?"
"Sea alicorn. Rare breed of pony. I don't blame you for being amazed, we've been thought to be extinct for thousands of years now. I'm actually not 100% sure about my breed myself. I've not lived in my ancesteral homelands at all, I've read very few of the tomes of my people... I just, don't know what to do with myself. But, in any case, a certain situation has landed me here in Equestria with all sorts of other ponies, and I need somewhere to stay. So, do you think I could stay here?"
"Hmm. Well, can you afford the rent?" She continued. "Because, if you might have trouble, I can lower the rent just a bit to help you out."
"No no, don't worry about that, I can afford the rent just fine." I chuckled to her. I noticed that occasionally she would still glance over at my tail.
I knew it would probably time for me to leave soon, so I looked over at the clock. 6:00 PM. "Woah, I need to go now." I exclaimed.
"Excuse me?" Rarity asked.
"I have to go. I am having dinner with Princess Luna!"
As I ran out the door, I could hear her whisper, "Wha... L-Luna?" In shock. I chuckled a bit and began flying so that I could make it to the Canterlot ristorante in time.
.....
I arrived at the restraunt at 6:50. Coincidentally, Luna arrived at the same time. "Good evening, Good Princess." I said as I bowed before her. "Good evening, Sir Tridentus. Have you accomplished what you needed to get done?" She responded, curious. I nodded calmly as I said, "Oh yes, don't you worry. And again, I must thank you for agreeing to dinner." As the two of us walked in together, the other restauraunt patrons stared in wonder that somepony was with Princess Luna, even more surprised at what kind of pony it was with her.
Once we made it to our table, the waiter came immediately. "Good day, Madame and Mosieur. How are you this eve?" He asked us.
"Quite good." I replied, smiling at the quick service.
"Likewise." Luna said.
"Very well then," The waiter continued. "What could I get for you all to drink?"
I thought a minute what would be good, then I decided. "Could I get a glass of your best vintage of Clover wine?" I asked. I had tasted wine in my world, but wondered what it tasted like here in Equestria. "Very well then. And you, Princess?"
"I suppose I shall have the same." She said with a sligt grin. I was surprised, but said nothing.
"Well, I suppose you might as well just bring a full bottle then, please." I continued, grinning.
Upon the request, the waiter nodded kindly and hurried away to retrieve the wine. As we read over the menu and waited for the waiter to return, I began to tell Luna my story. "So then," I started. "Let me tell you about who I am. In truth, I'm not General Tridentus. I am actually named General Smiddy. I'm part of a species called humans who live in a different dimension. We are very different than ponies. We are like furless apes who stand upright. In that world, ponies are very different from here in Equestria. Ponies aren't very colorful, they don't have wings or horns, and they don't talk."
"But," I continued, optimistic. "In my world, we can see Equestria and the people of Equestria. There is... A cartoon called My Litle Pony that shows you all. It has had several different happenings. It's exactly like everything here in your world. And, Luna, I... I'd always liked you in the show." I could see Luna beginning to blush, and I could feel the heat of my cheeks copying the action. "I've always felt connected to you, and I've always wanted to meet you. And, now that I have met you, I have to tell you this, for I might never get a chance to tell you again."
I came closer and whispered into her ear, "Luna... I-I think I'm in love with you." As I pulled back far enough to see her expression, I realized she had a discontent look on her face, and I knew I had messed up. "Oh, Luna... I-I'm so sorry! God, I'm such a fucking idiot, I must've just freaked you out! I'm sorry, I'll just pay the bill and go. I... I am so sor-"
"No. Do not go." She replied, interrupting me.
"Wh-what?" I replied, shocked.
"I-I said don't go. General, I cannot explain this, but... I feel connected to you as well. And, General, I think I..." And a moment later, she leaned in and pushed her lips to mine. That... That told me everything that I needed to know.
