Chapter 4 > The Return

Beep-Beep- Beep- Beep- Beep

“Wha-what?”

I awoke, but this time I was strapped to a hospital bed. No, that couldn’t have been a dream. Impossible! I looked around the small room, my mother was standing in the door way.

“Tristan? Oh god!”

She hugged me, crying.

“I thought you were dead!”

“Wha-what happened?”

“You had a heart attack. You were clinically dead for 15 minutes. For some reason you still had brain activity, they put you on life support for the pass two hours.”

“Bu-but that can’t be possible!”

She started to comb my hair with her hand, stopping when she found a stray hair among my dark brown hair.

“What, Why do you have a pink hair?”

Almost yelling, I said “Let me see!”

She held it up to me.  It was no doubt in my mind that it was Fluttershy’s. If it was a dream, why was that in my hair. I must have teleported or something, I couldn’t think straight. Was Fluttershy waking up? What if she sees me missing? Her heart would be broken. No, I wouldn’t let that happen.

“No, No No No. This is a dream. I just need to wake up!”

“What, no honey, you almost died. This is no dream, you are really here.”

“No, I didn’t want this, No!”

Her eyes started to water as she held me.

“Tristan, you are scaring me, please stop!”

“No No No No, This isn’t real!”

I started to cry, Fluttershy was alone, no, this is a dream, I will wake up in her embrace. I will! The sharp pain returned, this time in my chest. That’s it! The pain I felt before was a heart attack, something must have happened to transport me to Equestria. I’m coming Fluttershy, don’t you worry.

Before passed out, I said to my mother.

“I’m sorry”
