The Only Love

Chapter 5> The Trade

I opened my eyes, hoping to find Fluttershy fast asleep on my chest, but was greeted by darkness. I could see myself, like I had a light glowing around me. Almost like an angel would have, but this was no cloudy sky city and there was no pearly gates anywhere to be seen. Just pure blackness.

It felt constricting, almost claustrophobic. Am I dead? But the heart attack is what got me into Equestria the first time around. I wanted Fluttershy, not eternal darkness.

“Damn it, this isn't fair.” I yelled into the darkness.

“What isn't fair?”

The question got me off-guard, I said, trying to suppress the fear in my voice.

“Wh-who said that?”

The deep voice spoke again, this time it sounded like it was in front of me.

“I am simply know as “The Organizer”

I felt small, the voice sounded like it came from something much bigger than me, was it the darkness itself? Impossible, why would it want me? If I was truly dead, then this is hell.

“Can I ask you something? Why are you here, Organizer?”

“I was put in charge of keeping the souls separated and organized, hence my name.”

“Then why am I here?”

“You broke a rule, A rule only a few can break. A soul must never leave its' set planet.”

Is that what I did? Did my soul leave earth to go to Equestria? Is that even possible? How would my body get there? Then a thought reared its ugly head, is this my punishment? To be stuck here for all eternity? No, I don't want this, I want Fluttershy. I promised her, I would never leave here side, ever.

“Am I stuck here, as my punishment?”

I ask, almost starting to cry.

“Yes and no. You are here because I need to send you to the correct planet, But you must choose.”

It felt like a splinter was removed from my finger. It was up to me where I would spend the rest of my life.

“You must know before you make your choice, The planet that you won't live on will forget everything about you. So, what is it, your family or Fluttershy?”

That last sentence scared me, he knew about Fluttershy, how?

“Don't worry, Tristan. I watched you after Gabi met me. I know.”

Gabi.

That was my baby sisters name, I tried to wipe all memory of her from my mind after the accident, I did a good job of it, before now. I felt the streaks of tears coming from my eyes. She had meet this darkness before me? Did that mean she was in here own planet as well?  I wanted to curl up into a ball and cry. I just want out of this nightmare. But something was stoping me from emotionally imploding. It let me continue to say was I was planing to say.

“I want to live on Equestria”

I said trying to wipe the tears with my hands.

“Why Equestria, Tristan?”

“Because, I can't leave Fluttershy, I promised her. Please, just let me live with her.”

I said pleading to the darkness, tears streaking my face.

“Ok, it is done. Just close your eyes and you will wake up in your lovers' embrace. Your family will forget everything about you and their memory changed. I hope you thought about this.”

“I have, and thank you.”

“No need to thank me, thank her.

I heard a small giggle, it sounded like Gabi, but it was distorted, almost older sounding. Before I could even look to see, I awoke with my chest soaking wet, and Fluttershy awake. She was crying into her mane. Her pink hair now a shade of darker pink due to the tears soaking it.

“Fluttershy, why are you crying?”

A small gasp was heard, “Tristan?”
