This green glow had Pinkie puzzled so she brought the batch of cupcakes the her friend Twilight Sparkle to have her run some tests on them. Now because this was an unknown substance that fell into the batch Twilight's equipment was not able to detect anything wrong with them. So now that the tests were done pinkie brought them back to Sugar Cube Corner to try and sell them even after Twilight had told her not to sell them
