Twilight's True Love.

As the three of them continued to talk a question came to Applejacks mind. “Wait how come you are an alicorn? I thought royalty were mainly alicorn.” The alicorn stallion looked puzzled at the statement coming out of the pony’s mouth. “I don’t know; all I remember was growing up with two wonderful parents who happened to be friends with Twilight’s parents.” Said the stallion thinking still about what he heard. “Is one of your parents a unicorn and one a Pegasi.” Applejack was saying hoping to make sense of how he is an alicorn. “No” he said not believing it himself. “They are both earth ponies.” In disbelief he said barely holding on to any shroud of reality left. “Was I adopted?” tears welling up in his eyes, something Twilight had never seen him do. He quickly wiped the tears with his hoof hoping to keep his composure. Applejack felt horrible for what she had said not even thinking of what would happen before this.

Twilight was shocked at the discovery herself and was sad for the stallion who now thought everything was a lie. Slowly the stallion came to reality clearing his mind from any thoughts. “We should go.” Twilight said helping the once strong willed stallion up from his weak hearted effort. “I’m so sorry Twilight. I didn’t mean for this to happen from my questioning.” Said Applejack who felt terrible for the evil thing she had done. “That’s fine.” said the weak stallion “What better time to find out than with friends.” Finally gaining his strength back he decided to create a portal to the library. “No” Said twilight knowing that when emotional magic can go astray. “It’s much better if we gallop to the library.”

Finally getting to the library Star Saber asked spike if he could send a letter to his parents. Twelve minutes later a letter was shot out of the dragon. Surprisingly not from his parents but from Celestia herself reading.
Dear Star Saber,

It is time you know the truth once and for all. You foster parents have contacted me telling me that you now know that you were adopted. Actually the problem is you were never adopted you were found. Mine and Luna’s parents had a son when we were teenage ponies. That son was you and you were a great little brother for the two weeks we had you. One night you had disappeared just learning how to fly you had flown away from the castle and into Canterlot. Our parents sent royal guards to look for you for twelve years. Until your foster parents discovered that you were the pony they were searching for. They had found you scared and alone on the step of their blacksmith shop and had taken you in. They were going to tell you on your wedding day so that you would never feel alone when you had a wife to support you. If you would like to come join us at the palace you are welcome anytime. Brother we miss you. You have one month until you are no longer needed as a body guard for miss Twilight my greatest student. We hope you will come then and join us. Brother we will be waiting.

Celestia & Luna

Reading the letter shocked and amazed he turned to Twilight saying. “I am of royal blood. They look forward to seeing me not as a knight but as a brother, a prince.” Suddenly Twilight said “If you are a prince then I am not worthy to be guarded by you but to guard you.” “NO” the stallion boomed with anger “You come first. My job before was to protect you and I never quit something I have started. This changes nothing.” Twilight shocked at what he said was upset yet glad to still spend some time with the newly announced prince. “Your highness” She started and was suddenly cut off. “No don’t ever call me that I am a friend still and shall not be treated differently because I am suddenly of royal blood. Please call me Star Saber just plain Star Saber.” Twilight nodded shocked that someone who wasn’t royal to begin with but was now royal could be still so humble. Noticing it was getting late he said “We should adjourn for the night, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow. Tomorrow you get to move up a couple of magic levels.”

The next morning Twilight awoke to the smell of hay pancakes, apple juice, oatmeal muffin, maple syrup, and a cupcake from Pinkies Shop. Twilight got to the table and looked at the spread and finally at the cupcake which to her surprise was not bitten. Spike woke up from his nap smelling the spread that was laid out. “mmm….” He said looking at it “Twilight did you make this?” Twilight looked at the baby dragon and said “No Star Saber made it for us.” They all sat at the small yet social little table ready to eat when suddenly the door slammed open from down stairs. Star Saber drew his sword almost at the speed of light when suddenly a sky blue blur ran directly into the table spilling everything to the floor.
The blur was actually Rainbowdash rubbing her head out of confusion of what she just saw. “You drew your sword at me?!.” She said looking perturbed at the large stallion pointing the sword at her. “Twilight…. Hey put that sword away dude can you realize this is my friend here? Anyway Twilight I heard you have a prince staying with you. At least that’s what Pinkiepie told me.” The Stallion looked frantically in his saddle bag looking for the letter, but to no avail. He must have dropped it at Pinkie’s this morning when he went to go get his money out of his bag. “Uhh… Rainbowdash you told him to stop pointing his sword at you.” Twilight said wondering how Pinkie found out so quickly.

Suddenly realizing how insulting she was she turned to Star Saber who was frantically trying to search his bag hoping he wasn’t right. “I am so sorry your Maj…” before rainbow dash could let out the last word the stallion boomed interrupting. “Just call me Star saber that’s it nothing else no majesty, or highness just plain old Star Saber. Rainbowdash was shocked hearing the stallion who was supposed to be of royal blood tell her not to call him anything reverent. “Wow I have never known someone from the royal family would not let his subjects call him anything reverent or respectful. You are the brother of princess Celestia and Luna right?” said Rainbowdash confused. “Yes” said the stallion “does anyone else know that I am a prince?”
