Truth revealed

Rainbow Dash jumped feeling guilty as she realized that Pinkie was telling everyone she had seen walk into Sugar Cube Corner. “Um how many do you want to know you are a prince?” Rainbow Dash said averting her gaze to the floor hoping the stallion wouldn’t answer the question. “As little as possible why!?” the stallion boomed frustrated. “Let’s say anyone Pinkie has seen” Rainbow Dash said as she saw the anger build in the stallions face. “We have got to go get Pinkie and make sure she stays quite for good!” Star Saber shouted hoping that for some reason the heavens above would strike Pinkie as she stood. Twilight glared at the stallion with eyes as sharp as daggers freshly sharpened from a blacksmith. “Pinkie will not be harmed but we will make sure she won’t spread the secret any further!” Twilight’s voice rang like cannon throughout the room breaking the awkward silence.

Feeling like he just got castrated form the glare he had received, Star Saber as if almost involuntarily tucked his tail between his legs like a sad puppy. Upon seeing this Rainbow Dash burst out laughing making the situation even worse. “Oh my, a strong stallion like you having been put into a weak position with your tail tucked between your legs like you have been castrated, all from a little glare and a stern sentence. That is nothing but pathetic!” The stallion blushed as he tried not to show much emotion like they taught him in the royal guard. “We need to go stop Pinkie!” he said hoping to reclaim what dignity he had left.

Still giggling they all rushed over to Sugar Cube Corner hoping that Pinkie didn’t see many people yet. Finally bursting through the door all three ran inside frantically hoping that Pinkie Pie wasn’t on break. “Hello your majesty!!!” The pink yet awkward pony yelled as she saw the stallion look up at her. “Don’t call me that!!!” Star Saber yelled in response still trying to catch his breath. “Why?” Said Pinkie so perplexed by the response she abruptly received. The stallion finally catching his breath said slowly “I just want to keep it a secret and you should have never read the letter. I want to be treated like a regular pony like I have been before.” Pinkie looked confused and said “Oh silly I never read the letter I read the newspaper!” Shocked by what he heard he looked at the nearest newspaper and saw the article by the reporter under the name of Gabby Gums. “How did this happen!” he said hoping it was all just a nightmare. Then as he went to go put it back he saw another one of the articles from Gabby Gums. The article had a picture of Big Macintosh with a doll. Feeling confused he put it back hoping he could forget what he saw.

“Well I guess it is out of the bag.” Star Saber hung his head hoping it couldn’t possibly get worse. Finally saying goodbye Rainbow Dash decided to stay and chat with Pinkie while Star Saber and Twilight walked towards the other shops. “So Twilight what do you want to do today before we start some lessons.” Star Saber said with a fake smile trying to hide his gloomy outlook. “I did want to….” Before she could finish suddenly a barrage of arrows fell from the sky falling towards the purple unicorn as she watched in horror as they fell. As fast as light a figure wrapped her in its forelegs as she heard the arrows stab into the figure, each one the sound of penetrating flesh. SHHUUNK!! SSHHYUNKK!!

Finally after what seemed like minutes when actually mere seconds she looked to see what wrapped her so tightly without letting her feel anything from the barrage. She saw a face with sullen eyes and a grimace of pain trails of blood coming from his mouth coughing trying to stay conscience. “Star Saber!!!!!!” the Scream from the small purple pony seemed to fill all of Equestria. The scream embedded with horror as he fell to the ground, arrows covering his back, eyelids closing for one last glimpse. “T..Twilight run as fast as you can and don’t look b…back.” Star Saber barely conscious looked at her. “No!!” She shouted back to him. “No!!” Star Saber looked back with one last effort and opened a portal to the library. “Go and…. stay there until someone comes to get you.” He pulled something out of his saddle bag and gave it to her. Twilight walked slowly towards the portal and looked back a pool of blood around the stallion made her stop. The portal closed from the lack of energy left in the stallion. His eyes finally shut the last thing he saw was the tears from a face hit the ground next to him, then everything went dark.

Beep!...Beep!...Beep! The sound was so familiar. It brought back memories of trips to a hospital. “Where am I? Am I dead? I see nothing but darkness. I can hear voices but are they real?” Star Sabers eyes slowly opened a crack but all he could see was three blurs one purple, one pink, and one orange. “Nurse!” he heard but he could not stay conscious everything went black. Suddenly he felt pain he could feel the arrows all over again. “Am I reliving this again? What is happening?” His eyes shot open like a dart he saw what looked to be a nurse pony right next to him. His throat was dry he could barely speak. All he could do was look. “Ah you are awake now that is very promising!” The nurse looked at Twilight saying something Star Saber could barely make out. “You did the right thing any later and he would be pushing up daisies.” Twilight looked at Star Saber who was sobering up from all the pain medications. “Star Saber can you hear me? Nod for yes.” Star Saber nodded and tried to speak but his mouth and throat was too dry. Twilight looked at him trying to decipher what he was trying to say. “Do you need water?” He nodded frantically practically begging for the water.

Twilight came back with some water and helped him try to drink it. Just as soon as his mouth became moist enough to talk the words rolled out. “Are you alright?!” Hearing this she got very upset “Star Saber you should not be asking that!! I should be out there dead in the middle of the street instead of you in the hospital. Why did you try and send me to the library while you lay dying. Don’t even get me started about the note you handed me. Why would you send me to the castle if you died? Are you crazy?” Sitting down next to the bed with tears rolling down her cheeks he looked at her. “No. I’m not crazy. I LOVE YOU.” Kissing her cheek he fell asleep, throwing out everything he was taught about emotions and how he should not show them, smiled knowing she was safe for now. Finally waking up because the nurse had to give him pain medicines he noticed Twilight had fallen asleep by his bed. Gently tapping her with his hoof trying to be as gentle as he could be “Psst…Twilight” “huh” responded the still groggy Twilight. “Why don’t you sleep in the bed instead of in the chair?” “What no its your bed and I’m just a guest.” Hearing this he scooted over. “They gave me a plus sized mattress so there is plenty of room, and I don’t want you to get a back injury because of me!” “Fine I’ll get in the bed but no touchy feely things and keep your private parts away from me.” She said as she got into the large and warm bed. The warmth acted as a nice comfort allowing them to both fall asleep.

sorry this took so long the next chapters ive been busy and i have medical problems that hinder me slightly from writting as much as i used to.
forgive me for any grammar issues and mispelled words its not there by design but there for other reasons.
