Chapter five

The sun started to shine through the hospital window as the morning came. Twilight noticed in the middle of the night Star Saber had subconsciously put his foreleg over her but she didn’t mind and Star Saber was still asleep. Twilight was still exhausted from the ordeal and slowly drifted back to sleep. Suddenly out of nowhere She heard a familiar voice yell through hear ear as she jumped out of the excitement. “TWILY!!!! HOW COULD YOU!!” Star Saber finally coming to looked and saw none other than Twilights older brother. Twilight Scrambled trying to not look guilty towards her brother. “Twily how could you go and sleep with your body guard, my friend, my new ENEMY!” Star Saber finally coming to his senses looked towards Shining Armor. “Your sister did not sleep with me! I asked her to lay In the bed with me so she would not get a back Injury from sleeping in the chair. Most of all she can do whatever she wants she is a grown mare!”

Shining Armor’s face became as red as his uniform. “Twilight I am getting you a new bodyguard and I want you to move in with me and Cadence until you are safe. Do you understand!?” “NO!” Twilight responded throwing her brother for a loop since him and her never fights or disagrees. “What do you mean “NO”.” “I am your older brother.” Twilight looked at Star Saber and said words he thought she would never say. “I LOVE HIM! And you will never keep us apart. Your my brother and you of all ponies should know that nothing will keep us from loving each other. If you and Cadence love each other then we love each other.” Shocked at what he heard he looked at Star Saber who was injured. “You saved her not because it was your job but because you love her?” Star Saber looked at him with a glare and yet grimaces of pain since they had not given him his medicine yet. “Yes and I will never stop loving her so long as I live Shining Armor and you can count on it.”

Taken aback from the words Shining Armor glared at the two. “If I find out that you hurt her physically or emotionally then so help me there will be a certain body guard missing!” Hearing this Twilight couldn’t help but burst out laughing. “I guess he won’t be missing because he is a prince!” as soon as Shining Armor had heard the words his heart flung into his throat from what he had said and how he had reacted. “Did you say P-Prince?” “How he is the son of a lowly blacksmith and we were friends and he never said anything about that!” Twilight looked at her brother giving him the same glare he had given them. “That is because Star Saber found out himself earlier this week!” “I really want to hear about this then if I am supposed to believe this low life is truly a prince.” Shining Armor said with disgust.

Shortly after explaining in detail about how Star Saber was a prince Shining Armor finally left and visitation hours were over. “Twilight do you really love me?” Star Saber asked ever so softly hoping it just wasn’t a lie. Twilight shocked by his answer kissed him. “I do love you and I didn’t want to tell you earlier because you were only trying to do your job. To be honest with you I had the biggest crush on you a couple of weeks when you first started. At first I thought you were a cold hearted colt that wanted to do the job and irritate those you protect by being over protective.” “Ha-ha yeah that’s a good thing to say to someone who took one hundred or so arrows in the back without armor to deflect some of them. To think I wouldn’t have gotten hurt as bad if you didn’t tell me to leave the armor.” Star Saber exclaimed with sarcasm. The nurse walked in. “Star Saber your wounds seem to be healing real nicely so we are going to check you out of the hospital tomorrow.”

“Time to go Star Saber the doctor says that we only have thirty more minutes before they need this room for another patient.” Twilight called to the stallion who was begging for ten more minutes of sleep. “I can get us out of here in no time just sign the damn release forms.” Star Saber called begging for more sleep. “They are signed so let’s go!!” Twilight was furious. “Ok then close the door and shut up!!”Star Saber said looking at Twilight. “FINE!!” WHAM!! The door slammed loudly enough for the whole hospital to hear and Twilight glaring at Star Saber. “Thank you, now watch this!” before she could look at him in the eye the room had changed and the library living space appeared. “There you happy now we left the hospital now let me sleep dammit!”

Finally around lunch time Star Saber slowly came down the stairs hazy eyed and no recollection from earlier all he could remember was being mad. “Good afternoon Twilight!” he said smiling as he hoped up to the table. “What are you making us to eat this lovely afternoon?” Twilight turned around “Us what do you mean us from what I dealt with this morning I might as well shut up and sign the damn papers.” Suddenly he remembered. “I am so sorry twilight it’s that medicine the nurse did say it causes mood swings sometimes because it messes with the brain to forget about the pain. I’m sorry hey why don’t we go to sugar cube corner for dessert? My treat you can get anything and everything you want or desire. I will do anything to make you happy.” Twilight looked at him and she couldn’t help be smile. “You would really do that? You would do anything to make me happy?” Star Saber stood up and erected himself as straight and tall as he could. “I will do anything for my mare friend and I will go to the ends of Equestria and beyond just for you.”
